Went to visit the black owned business' the line for jerk was extremely long (nearly 2 hours in the queue) and definitely not worth it, rice was hard, jerk sauce taste shop bought. I appreciate the family run business but wouldnt eat from there again or wait on it. The concept I'd great but the layout makes things extremely timely. Better systems should be put in place.

Attended the night time Black Cultural Market here. Place is simply beautiful rich with colour and vibrant. The lighting, mood and atmosphere create a warm ambience and positive vibe.
Easy to locate with Hackney Downs Railway station opposite, good bus links from Dalston etc also. Parking can be tricky, fortunately I attended on a bank holiday. So this will be worthwhile contemplating if looking to reach by car. Beyond that there's a variety of stands and outlets from bars, bathroom and toiletry stools, dessert stands, clothing and book sellers etc
Not to be missed.

No other way to describe the market with the food and the drinks here, plus the vibe. It's just great. If you don't get there you're really missing out. Fantastic.

Travelled yesterday with sister who invited me. .Hackney
The food varied from Vegan, Jamaican, Trinidad, Nigerian, Cakes. Clothes, Jewellery, Lotions, Books..We had the Roti very nice, price was ok. The BlackEat Market was busy, good atmosphere, music in the background, nice space to set up. Seating available if you get lucky. Only downside queues are long so be patient. Look it up for next dates. It took 2 hrs by London transport. Lovely day out. 😎

Went here especially for thr Blacked owned event with Black Eats LDN. It was a beautiful sunny day and as such comes loads of people meaning long queues for food. So either attend the event full or make sure your patience allows you to queue for prob approx an hour for food.
Food is banging just you have to wait a long time for it. Have a strategy where you take it in turns to stand in thr queue and the others can go mingle, window shop, or buy a beverage to help with the queue
Regardless support your local black business 💯 👌 😎 💪 ✨️

Definitely a place to visit when they have blackeats on. The food, drink and atmosphere were spot on. Can't wait to visit again.

We were there for Blackeatslnd and we loved it! Lovely people and great turn out! We wish it was happening more often

Nice spot. But queue for food and drinks far too long. But otherwise a nice place to hang out!

Really lovely Saturday afternoon spent walking around and talking to the stall holders and as for the food, I will come back just for the vegan Caribbean stall and the jerk chicken...delish!!
J. D.
Beautiful stalls and delicious food. Definitely going again.

I attended the BlackEats market at Bohemia Place and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. There are plenty of seats available outside to feast on the wide range of delicious foods. There is also indoor seating in form of a bar.

Great evening and food at Black Eats night market.

Awesome weekend market hat has everything fro
Market stalls and bike shops to restaurants and clubs. Come here during the day for a coffee and pastries or in the evening for a drink and some more bites

Went to the vegan market - lots of delicious food options at a reasonable price. The Jamaican stall had tasty food but unfortunately the wait was extremely long after ordering because the stall lost power. Also plenty of locally made products which are worth a try!
J. B.
We visited the black business owner market...a monthly event. It was fun the foood yummy! the rum hit the spot and a little dancing to round it off. Also purchased some goodies for my hair and skin. Smiles all round.

Visited here for the Black owned business event. It was great! Great turn out and lots of yummy food and drink to try out.
It was beautiful day and the crowd were very easy going.
Lots of friendly people

I went there with a friend a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening. It was a bit disappointing. Only 4 stalls, all vegan (so probably good option if you're vegan), no real atmosphere. Maybe it wasn't the good day to be there
R. D.
Great place to go out in a group, lots of food options that I was so confused 🤔
L. M.
Different stalls with one off products also a night market every few months, and food stalls good for up and coming new businesses.
S. N.
Always a great mix of products by designers, artisans, creatives, with great food stalls and fab music too. A great day or afternoon out!

Lots of great food and drinks.

A lovely space in Hackney! Myself and my sister went to the Caribbean Market last week and it was great. Was so nice to see people out in the sun enjoying themselves after what feels like a long time in lockdown. It was also nice going somewhere you can support small businesses!! I brought some earrings from a lovely lady which was running one of the stalls. We ate too much food!! because we couldn't say no to all the options available :) Will defiantly be coming back to visit another market in the future...✨✨✨

I went for the black owned businesses over the weekend. Just by Hackney Central Station, down a secluded alleyway of hanging bulbs and railway arches. A good selection of different market traders. From food, clothing, books, jewellery and music. Nice experience everytime I've been.
A. K.
Nice to go out with the family on a Sunday, lots of vegan cultural dishes to pick with stalls that cater to the black community 🖤
A. S.
Nice little market area. A few restaurants are open and there are a couple clothing type shops and a couple food trucks. Looked like there was a club too. Probably a nice place for a date or just to hang out with a few friends.

As someone who has grown up in Hackney and went to Ridley Road Market for years, its lovely to see this type of local market supporting afro&Carribbean businesses and community, the day l went it was very busy and the day was very hot , great atmosphere, great food, and great music, the vibe was amazing.
K. R.
All depends on what event you go to. I went to a Caribbean event which had food, music, arts, and fashion. I wouldn't say it's a nice place but it's a long strip where popup stores can be placed, so its cool for the events to be held. 👌🏽
K. V.
Really cool food market with plenty of tasty vegan options. Worth a visit.
S. E.
Great little backstreet of late night bars.
B. H.
Went to the black eats market. Was good but way too hot today to enjoy it. Will 100% go back when it’s not 30 degrees so I can try everything properly

Nice pleasant place, staff very helpful, would go again when in area.
D. B.
Lovely diverse market with indie traders and great food.
m. l.
Nice enough small market outside. People chilling eating and having a boogie later in the evening. Unfortunately, the al fresco music is annoying for local residents.
K. B.
Worth a visit if you're searching Caribbean food. Not much else going on in the evening.
M. A.
Awesome open market. Great local businesses selling all sorts.
S. H.
The best market in London hands down. So many amazing vegan and ethical stalls and traders. Always a nice vibe and they do a beautiful Christmas market too!
p.
The weather wasn't good so the place wasn't full. They was too much smoke from some of the food stands, which was bad for pollution.
K. W.
Love this makes, books, food, clothes, toys and more perfect place to stock up for Xmas
