Is nice to have as a local shop. Staff are friendly and polite. Unfortunately is always low in stock.

It's a decent little local co-op. An average selection of general produce placed alongside a pretty exceptional range of wines and beers - a bit out of kilter with the rest of the store. Head-Office must employ a good wine-buyer. Till staff have slightly grumpy tendencies in my experience. Helpful...but seemingly uninspired with the task placed in front of them.

Store has a good range, is well presented and normally has good stock levels. Maybe i am getting old, but coop is getting better and better in my view Finally, nothing to do with this review, but it made me smile... A man walks into a convenience store, Picks up a can of fly spray and asks the assistant "Is this good for wasps?" The assistant replied: "No. It kills them."

You can always rely on the Co-op to have the best quality, freshest and as an added bonus, generally the most inexpensive vegetables, compared with other stores. In particular, for English grown onions -- don't even think of going anywhere else! Wanstead Co-op is the nearest one to where I live and I cannot really compare it to any others but what I can say is that I always find it clean, well-stocked (thank you, to that long-serving man who is always there) and the Staff are friendly and helpful. It also stays open until 11:00pm on Saturday, which is highly convenient.

This is a right handy little place to go too when you've run out of something. For a small (ish) shop it has quite a selection of goods from ready made Neal's to fresh fruit & vegetables to bread, biscuits & household items. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of stock this Co Op has!! It also has self serve & manned checkouts. You do not wait around a long time at all. So I highly recommend this place!!

I like this shop a lot as it's very handy for me especially when I run of veggies. Most local small shops will keep produce on shelves until the very last min, so I've been let down on the quality of fresh items countless times. This co-op is not like that, the veggies are always as fresh as when I do a big shop at say sains or tesco etc. Staff are always helpful so i'm a happy shopper ;-)

very good local supermarket. occasionally out of stock on key items as busy. they hired one Asian staff who was quite rude and routinely I used to see him swear at customers and locals which put me off completely from store.. once he tried to ram through me and my daughter with a trolley for which I asked him what he was doing to which he did not even reply and told my young daughter to get out of his way. really glad I don't see such staff there now.

Broken doors to upright chiller cabinets not fixed in an age. Wasteful use of electricity - sometimes a/con on in winter and heating in summer. Above all, a shop lifters paradise. No proper security, especially in evening, and often no member of staff in floor. Poorly managed overall.

It's ok. Parking can be difficult depending on the time you go and requires payment, except on Sundays, in the public car park just around the corner. Limited choices as its a small co-op but more than sufficient. Prices are a little higher than other stores. Nice, middle class area. Swing park and green across the road. Charity shops, art gallery, Costa and ginger pig. However there is a Greg's in the midst to counteract the restaurants and interesting cafes of which there are many. Ranging from sushi to Italian to Chinese. Nice coffee, pastries. Always busy with its commerce but fairly laud back, very civilised and green

Co op known for its fair trade. Good layout and helpful staff. But the self serve tills are slow to react and always a problem. Use the staff manned tills. .. much more efficient!

Good market, shopping is pretty fast. There is a one way entrance and exit so there is little congestion in the shop. The shop is also equipped with self checkouts. This store stocks mostly groceries but there is a small supply of magazines and other reading articles.

I only wished that the pricing for fresh produce wasn't so misleading in supermarkets, not just the Co-op. No scales available for customers which is really not fair as pricing for the same types of vegetables for instance is in kilogrammes for loose and pounds for packed... or the other way around.... misleading!!!!!!!!

Medium size chain supermarket/ groceries. Great location on busy Wastead High Street. Just less than 5 minutes walk from Wanstead tube station. Parking nearby is difficult. Very popular with locals.

This is famous British chain of grocery store, during my stay is wanstead I use to done grocery shopping at this store. The grocery, fruit and vegetables are of better quality with reasonable prices The staff is cooperating and help full.
