Reviews of Crop Drop

Crop Drop is the real deal. They source everything locally (growing some veggies within 1-2 miles of our home in Haringey) and use drop points instead of delivery 'cause it's greener. They are nice people, walking the talk about sustainable food. And also they have delivered us some of the yummiest apples, best salad bags (with herbs and radicchio leaves) and generally excellent produce including fresh chestnuts in our Christmas bag. There's basically no plastic either. Definitely worth the switch from supermarket plastic inundation.

Delicious organic vegetables, great variety, and mostly locally sourced. I particularly like that i can pick my bag up from the Crop Drop shed around the corner when it suits me, and i don't have to be home for delivery. But Crop Drop is more than just a veg box. It helps me cut down on plastics; and I love that they pay fair wages and support local food kitchens.

We recently moved to Haringey from South London and were so pleased we could still get our weekly veg from a Better Food Trader (shoutout to Local Greens!). The Crop Drop staff are lovely and accommodating, pickup is efficient and dependable, it’s fabulous that some of our veg comes from nearby in Wolves Lane, and we love rooting through the swap box. We’re glad to support a woman-owned business and to feel connected to our city and the climate through our food.

I joined Crop Drop because it's about local, cooperative and organic produce. I stayed because the vegetables I in my bags are always excellent, in quality and range. The people have always been quick and friendly to reply to me. I love it!

We were stuck in a rut buying the same vegetables over and over and making the same sorts of dinners. Joining Crop Drop has changed the way we eat. We've tried so many new dishes since joining. We look forward to getting the Wednesday 'what's in the bag' email and thinking about what we will cook. The kids love going to collect the veg with me and examining what's inside. It's so hard to escape packaging these days but with crop drop I know there is none. And very importantly - the fruit and vegetables are delicious too!

We signed up with Crop Drop when we moved to Haringey 4 months ago and have loved it so far. There is a always a variety of high quality produce (not easy during the English winter, when you want to be seasonal, organic and local!), really good recipes on the website which made us cook new things we never thought of cooking before, and a content-laden newsletter every week with info about local sustainability-related events etc. It feels much more like a community than the various national veg box schemes and I very much like the 'pick-up' collection points system (there are way too many delivery vans out and about already and we didn't want to have our veggies delivered by yet another van). Great scheme and we look forward to our 2022 bags!

We love our weekly veg bag! The vegetables are organic, seasonal and largely locally sourced and from a local independent company - all of this feels great. I love the suprise of seeing what we get evey week and am often inspired to try out the recipes Crop Drop provide. We never have to buy any extra veg, a large bag with no potatoes is ideal for me and my partner and as we both work from home it covers all our lunches and dinners. Going to pick up our bag is a also great excuse for a dog walk to Downhills! We're proud to support you, thanks for all you do, Rebecca.

Delighted to collect my first bag last week after taking a break due to personal circumstances. I love discovering new vegetables that my children and I have not tried before such as purple sprouting broccoli. Taking part in veganuary this year I have loved all the recipes on the Cropdrop website. During lockdown 2020 - 2021 Cropdrop was my savior for getting fresh fruit and vegetables. I love their local sourced ethos and zero waste. When I had an issue with one of my bags they were extremely helpful.

It's time to rethink not just what we eat, but where we source our food. Our choices matter. What better way than to support a local veg scheme, one that buys from local farms, supports local people and distributes just to Haringey! Our own dedicated supplier of great fresh seasonal goodies. We're hooked. Picky eater of N4 and member since the start!

Really love this veg box! The produce is really good quality, the price is amazing for what you get, it's all organic and local, there's no packaging waste and it encourages you to try new veg. The organisation is also amazing at funding and helping other community based projects in the area and everyone on the team and all the volunteers are the most lovely people! What's not to like?

We' ve been getting our veg and fruit too from our local scheme, Crop Drop, for 7 years now - and we absolutely love it. Nutritious, delicious and exciting food that connects us with those most admirable of people - our small scale organic farmers.

Super fresh fruit and veg from local suppliers, sustainable, and ethical.
Crop drop show the way forward for all future business.
I even get to ride my bike to the pick up point, beautiful!

I love Crop Drop- have been with them for over a year, and am always so impressed with their communication and accomodating nature.
Veggies are always top notch, and a great little selection for me to get through over the week without being overwhelming

I’ve been a Crop Dropper for years and will never go back to buying from the supermarket. I love the surprise of the weekly bag, combined with eating seasonally and discovering new vegetables! With organic produce sourced as locally as poss and packed with little or no packaging, there is no reason not to sign up to this scheme!

Great quality! not exactly cheap and you don’t always get what you like, but it’s a great way to help local farmers and eat healthy veggies!

A wonderful veg scheme. Great produce (especially the greens!) and great people. Extremely reliable and has made a huge difference to the range of fruit and vegetables we eat. Also makes deciding what to have for dinner easier - at least a couple of meals will always be built around what's in the bag that week.

Signing up to the Crop Drop veg scheme has changed the way I eat. I now cook from scratch far more often and have experimented with new ingredients.

Very happy with our experience of receiving the Crop Drop veg bag. Good quality produce that is fantastically fresh and tastes great. Delightfully simple pick up procedure too. Lost of tasty ideas shared via the weekly email.
I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Love, Love, Love Crop Drop! Delicious, freshly picked, organic veg, and yummy fruits, delivered by local farmers where it's carefully packed into reusable bags and delivered to about 14 drop off points throughout Haringey, ready for collection by you. Sign up online and enjoy how good food should really taste!

I am a very happy Crop Drop customer. It is a good project run by enthusiastic, reliable people which gives you the chance to support local, organic producers and explore new, different recipes with a range of different vegetables.

Just what you've been looking for! Local veg bag scheme run by local people. Can't fault the staff and volunteers - makes us feel like part of a community. Look forward to future cooking events run by Crop Drop too! :)
