A. C.This is an AMAZING store! What a Perfectly warm welcome I was given by the very charming Cécile and her staff. I bought so much, Soap bar, toilet cleaner, muesli, blue cheese, wine, loose leaf tea. Defo my new Fav shop. So nice not to buy plastic packaging. Well done all. I shall be back soon. /;-)

I strolled thro the hubbub of Forest Gate and passed the low key, easy on the eye frontage of Cups and Jars.
I entered and received a pleasant greeting despite service being delivered to another customer. It wasn’t long before I was greeted again snd after receiving an apology for the delay I was asked what I wanted.
I am not a very knowledgeable coffee drinker but ordered a latte and almond croissant. I went into a rear enclosed garden area with an overhead heater, my purchase followed after a very short wait.
The coffee was amazing and my almond croissant really good. The service and whole experience was really delightful.
Cups and Jars you are an absolute gem! I live 200 miles away and I can’t wait to return, visit you again, read my paper and have a coffee.
Thank you and well done don’t change anything I loved every thing you are doing!

The proprietors were passionate about their enterprise and I was impressed by the offer of a discount for bringing one`s own cup! J. R.Fantastic range of refills, ethical, and very friendly service. Organic only, so if it's veg you're after be warned that (though delicious) they are not cheap. Refillables are quite comparatively priced though - and obviously environmentally sound

N. B.A fine French grocery and café with a delightful sun-trap of a garden. Stocks eco cleaning products, organic foods, low intervention wines, great fillets from le Mans and many other delights. Very tempting lunchtime rolls and patisserie at fair prices. Can look a little dead when you pass close by, but the is because it's a long tight space leading to the garden. I went there to collect a delivery from UPS and stayed!

N. T.Great little place in Forest Gate, they've found a good niche in the high road and they're making the most of it! Just a couple of suggestions:
1) Coffee could be a tad hotter - had 2, one was not quite hot and the other was tepid, which is a shame because they're good beans!
2) Would be good to have a little description of produce, rather than just 'brie' etc, i.e. where does it come from? What justifies spending that bit more on the produce here compared one of the nearby grocers or the co-op? The produce being more bespoke and catered towards the customers is the advantage of a place like this, so give it a bit of spiel.
