Honestly, one of my fave spots in the borough. It’s a wee shop but it’s got everything you need! Remember to bring your containers and if you have any questions the lovely staff and volunteers will make you feel welcomed. They’re constantly coming out with new things and really take into consideration what they’re customers want. I also suggest grabbing one of their chocolate fishes or cookies at the counter. That’s the perfect shopping snack !!

Amazing wee shop for all your store cupboard needs. Delicious yogurt, milk, farm eggs and more. Most things are bring your own container and they also have lots of other bits and bobs in cans and jars to minimise plastic. Love coming here to shop, staff are so friendly and helpful. You rock Get Loose.

Love the range of items I can refill - outside they also have a space for refillable laundry liquid, hand soap, Faith in Nature shampoo/conditioner/soap, and hand sanitizer. Prices are very fair too!

Plastic free, sustainable shop with all refill essential products and so much more! From spices, oils, cosmetics, the amazing dairy and vegan options to the most delicious artisan chocolates 😋 my favourite place to shop! Xx

Awesome zero (or minimal) waste grocers. Small but lots of handy products from pantry food/spices to cleaning products, various tea and fresh milk (you can also order oat milk!)
You can also join a club for fresh weekly seafood & vegetables.
Wish there was more of these around. Worth checking out especially as a local.

love this place! They make it soooo easy to go zero waste with whatever's possible. Really nice and fresh local hand picked products and their range of vegan cheese revolutionised my life. Everyone who works there is super friendly, would def recommend.

Love this place. I come here once a week to get nuts, pulses, pasta, rice, spices, cooking oils, and cleaning products. Great range of products for such a small space. Keep up the good work.

Such a cute shop! Many of the shop fittings are up-cycled or second hand. The products are all organic and plastic free. Bring your own bags, jars or tuppaware to fill up the amount you need of loose items. So much nicer than shopping in a supermarket. Most of the staff are volunteers and are super helpful if you have any questions.

It is so rare to find a shop of this level of values and thought! Even the fittings are second hand as well as up-cycled. A special place with organic, plastic free, wholesome goodies. I make a trip once a month here from quite far as have not found anywhere else like it with this degree of ethics. The staff are all incredible assets too! I hope we can see more and more shops like this emerge over the country, it makes my heart sing and the earth a better place.

Fabulous team, reasonable prices and great quality goods. I have very high standards and this place exceeds my benchmarks. This is the best zero waste shop in the area by some distance!!

I love them!
If you're looking for great plastic free produce, don't look further, just come here.
They are the only shop I found in London where I can get milk in bottles (apart from farmers markets). They are constantly improving their shop and their offer and their staff are fab.
They've done a really great job with this little shop!

Always a warm welcome and friendly service.
Wide range of dried, tinned and fresh foods with a zero-waste and plastic-free ethic. This is exactly what I’d been hoping for in the area. I’ve been doing my shopping almost exclusively here for over 2 years now and recommend it to everyone I know. There’s also an online pickup service - so convenient!

Such an amazing project. Great selection of items at such a reasonable price. Lovely staff and all for an incredible cause!

Great little shop located in the peaceful surrounds of Hackney City Farm. Almost completely package free (and no plastic at all), bring your own containers for your shopping or they do have paper bags if you forget to bring them. There is quite a wide range of organic products, including gluten free and vegan options! There are also products like cotton face pads made by the staff. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and seem to really enjoy what they do. Fantastic!

Small shops, but we all you need for a tasty and balanced diet with top quality ingredients. Everything is package-free and the staff is lovely. Often they update the list of products available, giving customers even the chance to express preferences. I couldn't survive anymore without them.

While there are fewer items than most stores, the big draw is that almost everything stocked is organic, and has been carefully chosen for flavour. I love the nut selection and the yogurt sold in returnable glass jars is addictive. My most recent discovery is sunflower seed mince which worked really well in a Bolognese sauce.

I come here regularly to stock up on store cupboard items and the odd treat. Limited stock, but they have a good core range of essential items to which they are always expanding and adding new things. What they do have though is good quality, tasty and carefully selected for environmental and ethical credentials, including lots of locally produced items. Prices are very reasonable and it’s great to support such a community focused and ethical enterprise, which is linked to the farm and other related like-minded organisations on site such as Growing Communities (the farm is a pick up location) and Soleshare (HQ office is next door). The staff are always very friendly and knowledgable, which helps make the shopping experience so pleasurable and rewarding. Definitely worth checking out if you’re local and a detour if you’re just passing through!

Wonderful little shop selling organic, plastic free food at a really competitive price.
Shop here every week and love the cheese, un-homogenised milk, great selection on grains and the super cheap organic tinned beans and tomatoes. The shop staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable about all the products, most of them are volunteers.
Go check it out, your mind, body and soul will thank you for it!

GetLoose is for you, if you want to reduce packaging waste and not overpay for organic produce. (Don't forget your own bags/containers/jars etc. ). Anything from grains, nuts to handmade cheeses and chocolate, as well as liquids: oils, washing liquids etc. It's also a great place for a chat and connecting with the community, as it's a part of Hackney farm and there's always something going on.

This is my weekly destination. The stock is great - can get pretty much everything I need, good prices and lovely staff.
Have been coming here for over a year. It's all about getting very good quality food and ditching unnecessary packaging.
