Reviews of La Bottege Di Giovanni / La Mediterranea

Absolutely love it! With its own unique style and very warm “Buongiorno” each time you will walk in, this hidden gem has a lot to offer. Wonderful coffee, traditional Italian cuisine and a lot of goodies to bring to your home a piece of Italy. The best quality pasta, rice, cheese and of course my absolute favourite - extra virgin olive oil. If you look for quality over quantity this is your place to go to.

Amazing. The food is genuinely SO good. Haven't eaten like that in too long. The staff are so lovely, down to earth, funny. Best Italian resturant I've been to in the UK

Amazing selection of fresh and packaged goods, feels like I’m back home in Italy! Giovanni and his team are always welcoming with delicious coffee available, fresh ham and cheeses, panini, vegetables and a fantastic choice of pasta, coffee and other bits in the back.

During lockdown 1, this place was our salvation for cubes of takeaway morning coffee.
As teachers, we were still going to school as key workers and most coffee places were shut … but not this wonderful place! We adored our freshly brewed Italian coffee treat and we also enjoyed stocking up on the wonderful Italian produce, like the oyster mushrooms and tomatoes. We miss stopping in now that we are back to ‘normal’ hours. Hopefully we’ll get to come again for coffee but under much more positive circumstances.

A lovely neighbourhood deli with a great range of cheeses, olives and meats. Also had a delicious panini and their pasta of the day looked great too. Amazing produce and service all round!

Informal dining, pasta of the day, antipasti, panini, all fresh ingredients, often organic. Warm (child) friendly atmosphere. Always buzzing. Best Italian with a Sicilian flair. Delicious seasonal quality ice cream. A gem to be discovered.

Very helpful and friendly, Great little Italian delicatessen with dine in /coffee option. I had lunch in here a few years ago and the pasta although simple was massively tasty.

I popped in for lunch and had a tuna and sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke panini to takeaway. It was delightful. Will defo return. Caio
