Reviews of La Nina Caffe' & Mercato

What a lovely spot!! I met with a friend for a catch up and some food. Coffee was delicious and our parma ham focaccia… mmmm!
Felt very special when greeted by Monica at the door. She introduced herself and her husband Alberto as owners of La Nina. And took us for a tour around the shop, 1st floor cafe and children playroom and brilliant workshop on the 2nd. I am not Italian but I can remember my grandmother hanging all of the kitchen table cloths. Exactly like they have there!
I really like the idea of having a work shop together with a cafe. Cannot wait to take my nephews to a pizza workshop class.
Me and my friend had a great coffee and beautiful panini with parma ham! And this incredible tiramisu- mamma mia!
I only took two pictures, including one called: “too late, but I am not even sorry” - panini was delicious ☺️
Cozy, friendly, warm, sweet with a real Italian love ❤️ See you soon!

My daughter was booked in with her friends in the pasta-making class and what a wounderful, delightful experience that was. As soon as you step in you are greeting with a warm, friendly welcome. The staff are superb, very experienced with young children and you are able to leave them in a fun, safe environment and hands. My daughter was shy to begin with, it was spectacular watching her not just learn but grow in confidence. She loved the experience and wants to make fresh pasta at home. I highly recommend this and will definitely be back for other cooking classes both for myself and with my young daughter. I absolutely love the vibe, not just in the cooking class but also the cafe as a whole, what a wonderful place to be.

Friendly shop owners. Bought guanciale and pecorino, so excited to make some authentic carbonara! Nice big cup of decaf cappuccino.

The quality of both service and products is excellent! A little corner of Italian paradise where I always find a new delicious way to treat myself! Yesterday I made home made pizzas and all ingredients were bought there: pizza dough, flour, truffle burrata, pistachio pesto, and mortadella with pistachios... It was wonderful! And after that I deep fried the amazing artisanal Sardinian seadas they sell... I can't even explain how good they were!

Friendly Italian cafe with tasty food and a small market with lovely selection of Italian cheeses, meats, antipasti, sweets and wines. Also a local community hub with cosy evening concerts and drinks

Fantastic food, great wine, lovely atmosphere. A real Italian deli with an outstanding selection of preducts. Friendly and professional service. Beautiful location in a walking area under the colomnade (so don't be scared of it rains) near the river. Live music and insightful and entertaining tastings .. A must go.

Great atmosphere and a delicious negroni (Contratto vermouth and Malfi gin)!

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday: it was beautiful and delicious! A cake in perfect Italian style!

Great coffee and great cakes. And an amazing choice of traditional Italian delicacies from biscuits to chocolate, sausages, charcuterie, cheese and pasta, wine and limoncello... It's a treasure trove.

If you are looking for the best tiramisu around Canary Wharf, look no further…
This is by far the best tiramisu I’ve tried in my whole life… and trust me I’ve eaten lots.

So nice to see this place just a stones throw from where we live. The selection is amazing. It's like an Aladins Cave of sauces, pastas, cheeses and much more. We had a coffee here too, and it was really lovely. So happy to see this place is open and so close to where we live.

A hybrid cafe-market Italian store tucked away on the quieter end of Pepper Street. The owner who works there is very friendly and approachable.
Dropped by for coffee and a pastry one morning and unexpectedly the pistachio croissant I bit into was probably the best croissant I'd eaten in a very long while! Definitely will be back to try their other food and snacks. :)

Popped in for a coffee on Friday while working in the area. As done as you walk in, a welcoming and friendly aura envelops you.
Incredibly positive customer service too, a real bright point in my day.
Coffee was also lovely and smooth.

Such a great little neighbourhood cafe. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the coffee is amazing. Highly recommend! Ps. Check out the pea milk latte if you’re looking to try some new dairy alternatives

It is an amazing place to do some grocery shopping as well as enjoy some music and wine. This place might be small but it offers a very wide variety of products that will make happy kids and grownups. The service is also excellent, it is definitely worth to pay a visit to this shop, you won't regret it!

Where else can you find exceptional Ponte Vecchio balsamic vinegar, as well as guanciale and pecorino, or even more rare Sicilian culurgione? Maybe in Italy, but if you are in East London, La Nina is the place to go.
Monica and Alberto created a truly exceptional Italian Deli - the variety and the qualty of the products are pleasantly surprising. Worth visiting to find your favourite Italian cheese, pasta, tomato sauce or seasonal treat, worth coming back for the welcoming atmosphere.
Oh, and whilst you are at it, grab yourself a nice capuccino - if you enjoy coffee you will not regret it.
Very strongly recomend it to all nostalgic Italians (and non-Italians who love Italian food).

This place is a true diamond.
Calling it an italian delicatessen shop doesn't fully give the idea of the concept the owners created. It's a place for everyone from kids to adults to spend hours and have a good time in a warm and welcoming environment.
As soon as I stepped inside I felt at home and the food is excellent too!
Easily one of the best espresso I've had in London.
Also the kids playroom and the classes boost the social interactions and make it a special place.
This is where I'd go for my daily coffee and to do some work / reading.
Congratulations to the owners and everyone who works there 👏
