I have a love hate relationship with this place. I love that it's almost quite literally on my doorstep. Some of the staff are awesome, the security guards always have a smile for you. But stock levels can be utterly abysmal (not entirely their fault, I'm sure), and there appears to be a total lack of staff management sometimes. When the younger folk are on shift (usually weekends), they generally appear more concerned with chatting with each other, and actively getting in the way of shoppers trying to navigate aisles - this is also an issue generally; when they are refilling shelves, they shop becomes completely unnavigable due to stock cages and staff everywhere. I appreciate you need to fill shelves, but this needs to be managed far better. You are a small store, do not block every single aisle with cages and staff. There's also an issue with how they deal with deliveroo etc. motorbike couriers, these seem to get prioritised ahead of customers, and again, they block up that initial entrance into the store at times (and don't get me started on the deliveroo couriers who have decided that the lane beside Waitrose/in front of Waitrose is where they will spend their day in between jobs. Must drive the even more local residents crazy).

Alright when shopping in despite the limited availability of items (it’s a little Waitrose so that’s ok) but ordering from them on Deliveroo is a nightmare with constant delays because orders are not put together on time and they also tend to send veggies and herbs that are just going off / are slightly rotten.

Dawn is very good at packing. She does it like an artist and always with a smile. She should train her colleagues. I am always happy when I see her at the counter because I know my bags will be packed with style. I've been shopping there since it opened and I really appreciate the customer service.

This store is far too small to navigate comfortably. The bakery is great but bread is left open for people to touch or by those passing by accident. Checkouts are in need of a clean

Have used this store daily since it first opened. Staff are brilliant but let down by terrible checkout machines which now only take cards and are very slow and indecisive. 'Free' coffee machines continually need human intervention and there seems no focus for staff to supply napkins.....All in all this store is a declining asset; perhaps John Lewis are in diffucties.

Very overpriced, but to their credit there are products you can't get down the road in similarly-sizes Sainsburys or Tesco. For example, an excellent quality walnut oil, and value range kippers - indeed it's ironic they sell some 'value' products where the other two cynically refuse to due to their profiteering bad ethics. A few wines to choose from, but watch out for their fresh breads, some of which are amazingly pricey and not that great; instead, buy from Roni's bakery over the road. Stock control and display is a mess: there was no tomato juice, but on Twitter they assured me they did sell it, in the chiller. It wasn't there (I checked), but was there a couple of weeks later. I then went back another week later to buy more, and it was completely gone again - not 'out of stock' - but not allocated on the shelving at all (in fact replaced by another, unrelated product). All in all, it has some nice things to choose from if you don't mind paying more, but has limitations as well. Edit 21/5: I've warmed to this shop quite a bit, they do sell a good variety of quality products and brands, it's absolutely miles ahead of Tesco or Sainsbury's express stores. I would give it a '4' but as before they keep removing popular items I used to like; no longer any walnut oil, kippers or tomato juice, which is really poor. On the other hand, they're quick off the mark selling vegan chocolate, good work.

This store is handy for a quick shop. The queue isn't too long and the Waitrose quality is there. The problem is the limited space. The range of products is really limited.
