Reviews of Lituanica Beckton
A. M.
The shop is well organised, the restaurant on top of the shop has a limited menu and serving Lithuanian specialties. Inside the shop there is a counter that is selling cooked food (there are days they cook different food).
One minus is that I didn't see any lifts going from the main shop to the restaurant upstairs, hence it's a bit difficult for pushchair to access the restaurant.
Happy with the shop, will visit again when possible, best of luck and happy shopping.
A. M.
Simply amazing, we are bot Lithuanian, however we always come here for the good quality products and the good prices. Very friendly staff, amazing Deli department, good restaurant, flowers, anything you need. They even sell barbeques. Good work. The only downside is the car park which can get quite crowded… once it took us almost two, 2 (yes, 2!) hours just to get out of the car park… however, we always try to avoid rush hour when shopping here. I highly recomennd the place!
P. B.
Great prices and excellent portion sizes of traditional Lithuanian favourite foods. However, noticed a few times that some of the meals I'd expect to see were not in stock such as Cepelinai which was a tad disappointing.

There is plenty of parking outside and the shop itself is pretty big but not spacious. Compared to a Tesco or Asda and so on.. the walkways are pretty narrow as there are a lot of products -but that means there is a lot to choose from, so unlikely that you would leave empty handed. There has been 1 product that I haven't found, but compared to the rest of the selection it is negligeable. Because of the products being sold there the shop has quite a distinct "Eastern European Shop" smell.. nothing bad, just familiar. A little downside that the checkout staff assume you speak their language so you have to prompt them in English. Above the food section of the shop is a cafeteria, a cute jewellery shop (very beautiful gold earrings, not much selection of silver) a book store and, I believe, also a hairdresser.
Overall for those who want to find familiar Eastern European food- this is a good place to go. Just make sure you are prepared to leave with more than you though you need 😀
H. H.
Supermarket is clean and sells very nice Polish/Lithuania dumplings. The restaurant offers nice lunch deals. Decor is all modern and comfortable.
a. s.
It's a nice shop with a large selection of everything. You can easily browse for ages and find something you like. It a little pricey and you might not always get a smile from the staff but that definitely isn't going to stop me from going again and buying the things I like
d.
Went to the cafeteria upstairs for lunch. Meal was really tasty and flavourish. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back to eat there again.
Downstairs supermarket looked tidy and fresh, great selection of products.
v. k.
Good range and selection of Lithuanian and other continental foods including fresh made bakery and chilled cakes
S. T.
A such great place to try real European production! Universal selection starting with fresh veggies up getting your own metal bbq. Second floor has its very own nice restaurant, small library... Various topics books and more, own Jewellery story- with a classic selection of various jewellery items for her and him. And more, easily could spend here few hours. Highly recommended. One warning. No alco is store.

This is a smashing retail park with lots on offer.
You can get totally enmeshed in this place, and you can lose a whole day without even realising it.
I enjoyed walking around this shopping site.
The people around me seemed very friendly.
J. C.
Top quality traditional Russian food.. Plus friendly staff..
U. T.
Great store with a very diverse amount of eastern european food, and great bakery and a amazing cafe on the 1st floor, and very helpful workers!
M. M.
Love it, as its not big space but huge selection, considering the spacing, including cakes and etc
A. B.
Being a loyal customer for so many years I can strongly recommend this store to everyone. What I love the most about it - is that in one place you can find food store, restaurant, beauty salon, book shop, flowers corner and jewellery store too. The range of the products is fantastic and so big, food is always delicious and fresh, prices are super good and customer service - friendly, kind and generous.
M.
Great supermarket for Lithuanian origin foods. In store baked fresh bread.
Also if you are hungry, or kean to try Lithuanian cousin? 🤔, please visit Lithuanian restaurant /cafe, for fresh, authentic food.
A. T.
A really good shop, all sorts of Lithuanian food. You could find most things you could be looking for.
A.
The supermarket has a wide range of European products available and the restaurant always BUT ALWAYS meets my expectations when it comes to food and its taste! Everything is delicious!
However, I had to take two stars off because of the rude, unwelcoming staff (especially in the restaurant). I am a regular customer for years in both and there was always a lack of satisfactory customer service. (Again, especially in the restaurant). Too bad that the food is amazing! I am unsure if this is because I do not speak Lithuanian but that is the impression I get all the time.
Customer service really needs improvement. A smile and a warm hello can go a long way!
B. E.
My favourite chicken place it's 100 times better than Nando's I love it
M. P.
Is very good shopp. I love to do shopping in Lituanica Beckton.
D. E.
Lovely place for Eastern European foods. Prices are quite high but quality is great! You won’t be disappointed.
N. S.
Great variety of Lithuanian products! Amazing restaurant on the upper floor
R. “.
Super place, myself I always find what I need, great tasty food in restaurant, plus huge portions,BUT!One negative thing....they not working on Sundays! Shame coz most of the people has off day just on Sunday, worth it to think about that fore the owners
I. H.
One of my most favourite shops in London! If you are after Eastern European food, this is definitely a place to go. You won't regret as there is almost no product that would be missing. In fact, you may find a lot of products you didn't know about. The best is that even my international friends loved this place too and always is asking me to take them back there because of the unique products they could find in one place and also because they could taste Eastern European food at the café above the supermarket. Most of my international friends, including British, especially loved the cold soup. However, there is one negative about the cafe though - it would be loved even more if they would have a bit more vegeterian options as some of my vegetarian friends didn't enjoy the fact that they barely had anything to choose from the menu. For that single reason, I will not give 5 stars just yet.
A. K.
Great selection of Eastern European food!
R. S.
Great Eastern European store.
Always come to find fresh groceries from home
C. U.
Good place to buy some food you never find elsewhere
G. P.
Excellent Lithuania super market with a wide selection of excellent foods. Very helpful staff if you are not quite sure what you are looking for.
O. V.
Lovely store, has great range of different products. Good discounts. Employees are not chatty and smiley but it’s ok for the Baltic countries, show me one employee who smiles in Latvia and I’ll change my mind. :D 4 stars only because of the hygiene rating 1 star on the door, which is not so appealing, especially when you see that the girl in the cafe, who just cleaned tables, without washing her hands, will take a plate and serve you food.
J. C. V.
I love going there.
The restaurant at the top floor makes delicious Cepelinai, fresh and tasty.
Downstairs is the supermarket.
Prices are a bit expensive, but they often have promotions.
No alcohol sold here.
Many options of frozen Cepelinais, and also great salamis and sausages.
Another favourite is the kvass.
I. S.
Good range of products, would love to find more from Latvia.
C. V.
Great place to shop. They have very good products, ready to eat food and cakes. I like to go there. Many products to choose from.
A. E.
it's a Retail store predominantly tailored towards Eastern European communities. its not particularly spacious but it has it's kudos, community meetings over coffee.
S. D.
Superb supermarket with fabulous restaurant
N. c.
Always great restaurant food and food that reminds us of home
m.
Great food, quality produce, helpful staff. Pure quality and good selection.
M. E.
It's a v nice place n also lots of stuffs n price quite low compare to any other place like green street
A. S.
I come here for a regular restock of specific ingredients and for ready foods as well. Really great range of Eastern European foods, highly recommend the place.
g. g.
Lovely Lithuanian shop. They really have tons of traditional Lithuania food. Upstairs there is canteen. Not massive selection of food, just few ready made but fresh and found always delicious.
In the shop, indeed, you can find organic and genuine food.
The place is full of Lithuania family they use to shop there, so once you get in seems you have crossed the border and find yourself magically in Vilnius.
That's funny if you are not Lithuanian like me.
The staff are very kind and smiling once they hear your accent is not russian or Lithuanian. Try and let me know :)
J. M.
This is a great little cafe on the upper floor of the Lituanica supermarket in Beckton Retail Park to have a good value lunch. The cafe is very clean and modern with both booths and tables to choose from. No table service - you order the food from the counter and take it to the table with you. Staff were friendly and smiley as well as good at clearing tables. I had the cold beetroot soup with hot potatoes - both were delicious and very good value at £2.99 for the set. One of my colleagues had herring with sour cream, which she enjoyed also. My colleagues liked their curd donuts too. The salads at the counter looked fresh and tasty. Great find - I look forward to coming back here.
S.
Good selection of sourdough rye breads. Also fresh cake counter as well as meet and fish (and some freshly prepared salads) counter. Those are the highlights for me.
Bistro style restaurant upstairs with a narrow choice of potatoe dumplings and chicken kievs on the menu with the highlight of freshly made juices ( carrot, apple, orange alike)
Friendliness of the staff at the shop is questionable. It gets better at the restaurant (bistro) on a good day
O. A.
I loved it because everything you wanted to buy in terms of food items is within each other.
C. x. (.
Fantastic shop with lots of options for those who miss their traditional food back home. Im quite surprised with all these comments about poor customer service. The thing you need to realise is actually customer service between the U.K. and Lithuania are very different. Here in the UK it's known to smile and make small talk but in Lithuania you are paid to do your job only, which could be scanning goods and making sure foods all stocked in the store. In the Lithuanian culture smiling and small talk is actually a very personal and intimate thing, so don't take offence to it when its natural to not put on an act around you. You may judge the staff for not smiling and looking miserable, but all it means it's that its their resting face and nothing deeper to it, once again..a cultural difference. If you ask questions that are personal like "how are you" to someone you don't know, its not something that exists in Lithuania, you only make small talk to people you personally know.
E. S.
Prices are good especially for London. Recommended place to go for sure if you want to try Lithuanian dishes. Staff could improve with their behaviour and speech manners, but its expected from Lithuanian servers 😄
M. O.
Always fresh and delicious food. Love the bakery, salads and ready/hot meat. Very friendly for everyone! Definitely 5 stars 🌟
A. M.
A very nice Eastern European food experience. Freshly cooked meals every day. Always nice soup selection. They do daily menu deals as well. Reasonably priced and thanks to the retail park the parking is free.
A. ..
Very nice shop for East European food. Everything fresh. Amazing cakes! Also beautiful traditional Lithuanian cafe upstairs. Prices makes you happy. Big tasty portions. You can find traditional jelewery shop, book shop and beauty salon on 1'st floor as well. Good car park.Highly recomend to visit this wonderful place!
M. B.
This is my favourite place now.. I love Lithuania shop and in second floor there is a cafe with traditional Lithuania food very tasty. And there is also hairdresser, book shop, Jewelry store. And many another shops.
N. F.
Always organised and well stocked. Staff friendly
T. D.
Great place for Eastern European for shopping
Groceries, cafeteria upstairs 😋
V. N.
Really wanted some riazenka 😅 was happy to find more than 2 bottles
C. M.
Lituanica has a variety of products and it's a place for everyone
g. m.
A place where you can find everything you want at an affordable price!
K. H.
We tried nearly everything on the menu and it really tastes like HOME. I would highly recommend to get varskes apkepas (its like warm cake that is made from cottage cheese) and the cottage cheese doughnuts. Staff could be little bit more friendly as most of them look like they ate a lemon!! The value for money is outstanding. Plenty of place for dining - large tables and clean toilets.
M. S. D.
Mainly traditional Lithuanian food, east european, Polish, Romanian, a lot of good stuff. Strongly recommended.
N. A.
God place to shop, although prices sometimes could be lower. And it is cool there during even the hottest days! Service is nice and fast. But there could be something to weight loose products (fruits, vegetables, sweets). Nevertheless I like this shop and highly recommend it to others, especially to those, who wish to taste and learn more about Lithuanian and Baltic traditional food!
d. G.
Absolutely love the hot food Corner in there
I. M.
I like this place because i can find the product's from Eastern Europe where I grow up!!! I recommend!!! Regards!!!
R. E.
Eastern European Supermarket with something else.
The butcher section is excellent for meats, better quality than usual UK supermarket offerings and at good prices.
The upstairs area has a restaurant that serves excellent home made dishes at modest prices. Good desserts and coffee, too. Well worth a visit!
A. S.
The shop has got a great variety of eastern European food, mostly around Lithuanian popular products. On the top floor you will find small cafe with quick Lithuanian fishes. They are quite nice, so definitely worth a try if you're in the area and fancy some Lithuanian dishes.
K.
Nice shop, great choice. But staff in the shop are really looking sad. They never smile, always shows that they don't care about anything in the shop. There's no Hello, Thank you, goodbye
Looks like someone is forcing those people's to work in this shop.
Z. M.
The Food store is great and versatile. The book shop above is beyond amazing for their lithuanian books. However the restaurant is awful. Got served frozen food 3 times... and Fresh carrot juice was not so fresh.
M. R.
Cake with artificial butter and palm oil does not taste good("black&white"- one of our favourites was discarded as inedible on last occasion). There are some things in life that must be done right...
Bakery section is main reason of our regular visits.
a. m.
This is a nice, very well stocked international supermarket. From fresh baked pastries and cakes, to fresh meats and a wide variety of salamies and sausages, this big supermarket can satisfy most of anybody's needs. The upstairs restaurant, with a Lithuanian menu, is very clean and nicely arranged, while the food is home made and very very good. Upstairs, you can also find a hair salon, a jewellery shop and a nice and cozy book shop.
Looking forward to visit this place again.
D. T.

Great place to buy all Lithuanian food. It is like time/space travel to Lithuania: sauerkraut, sausages, pancakes and cakes are simply amazing. Will come again!
R. G.
Large selection of food from all over Eastern Europe as well as ready to eat salads, smoked meats, fresh bread from the in-store bakery providing a taste of home away from home. As you enter the store you will find a florist where you can get a nice selection of flowers for different events. Upstairs they also offer a restaurant with hot food, hairdressers, bookstore, jewellers and other goods/ services.
C. t.
Best place to get some East European foods and ingredients, and this is the best branch of Lituanica I would say, they have Lithuanian restaurant, book shop (only Lithuanian books available), Barber shop and jewellery shop on the upper level for those who fancy these stuff.
J. G.
Good range of lithuanian produts with a restaurant up in 1st floor. Very delicious highly recommended!!!!
J. C.
Nice supermarket, quite well stocked. There's also a flower shop right by the entrance with a very good selection and a very nice cafeteria upstairs. There's always plenty parking on site. Would recommend a visit if you are around
V. M.
Good food though quite expensive, great meat. The staff is friendly and helpful.
G. B.
Good place for shopping and eat also, but sometimes waitress not smiling, even if it's not busy. Sometimes they are not answering simple questions. Ignoring you.
J. M.

Amazing quality and great value for money! Loved the salad bar! Loads to choose from

5* for variety of products.
1* for the worst customer service that I ever seen. Probably will not improve, so I will recommend just to be visited occasionally.... to bad, because the store is really nice with good products.
In my opinion, and reading the reviews, I realise that the owners don't cares about reviews, staff's attitude or try to improve it. Sad....no customers....no business.
A. T.
Probably one of the best Lituanica stores out there! Vast variety of products, caff upstairs with delicious food so you can refill your energy after shopping!
R.
All shopping can be done at this place as Home bargain, Matalan, Iceland and many Asian bazaars are here too.
R. N.
If youre looking for something Lithuanian/Eastern European it's definitely place to go. I tend to visit quite frequently as I can get more things and wider variety in Lituanica than your usual Eastern European corner shops. Prices are similar to other shops selling similar food. Worth mentioning that they sell freshly prepared food there so most of the times when I visit I get my dinner there as well.
Another thing is bookstore upstairs. Prices are managable and they have reasonable variety of books for children and adults.
m. i.
Products are mostly of foreign origin mainly Europe so you can never be sure the taste will be same on the other hand prices are pretty competitive you could save a few quid on your weekly shopping. The down side to this place is not very organised so queues are very long and staff are quite ignorant.
B.
This is a very interesting supermarket for a native Brit to visit as it has so many Eastern European products on offer. They have a large range of meats, desserts, fruit & veg and frozen fish.
There is plenty of parking available even if the immediate area looks a little run-down.
L. R.
Too expensive. Too busy. Customer service very poor. Rudeness of some staff(ready meals aisle) is incredible. Not recommend at all. Worthless
T. R.
The restaurant/cafe upstairs was quite cosy, and the people there really friendly. But omg the potato bake, delish! I usually visit the Stratford Lituanica for some of my groceries but the place is always packed, so it was great to see more space and a bigger selection of products in the Beckton store. :)
R. W.
Great Lithuanian shop. The biggest one I've seen in London with boutique shops, a bookshop, hairdresser and restaurant above. The full Lithuanian experience. As you'd expect, shops sell everything Lithuanian, except i didn't see live fish as they sell in Lithuanian supermarkets.
D. S.
Nice authentic well presented store, clean and very clear organised displays, good variety and wide choice of produce . Staff helpful and professional. Thank you !
A. K.
One of the best places to shop for Lithuanian groceries.

Good restaurant upstairs. Missus got all her beautifying done at the parlour. Enjoyed trying the different foods from Lithuania .
O.
Very nice place. But nothing for wheelchair user...this this a big problem if go upstairs...
S. V.
Nice grocery store with local Lithuanian food. There's also a restaurant upstairs
A.
I like this shop but food is medicore. Expensiv-ish.
Cheesecake made of hoarsely grinded cheese, bread, breadcrumbs...
Meatball made from breadcrumb and rubbish.
J. B.
Lovely shop with lots of things from dairy products, fresh and smoked meat, vegetables and fruits, as well as bakery with lovely cakes, biscets and selecrion of frozen food. Received quick and friendly service. Very pleased.
A.
Cool shop with freshly baked bread and pastries.
V. K.
Great place for lunch. Great location. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Great Lithuanian food for good price. Recommending.
a. s.
Nice shop and cafe!
m. h.
If you want that Eastern Bloc experience, no need to fly to Vilnius! You can get it on your doorstep in Beckon, a stone's throw from Asda.
Had some delicious borsh with pork meatballs. All fresh and tasty, then had a browse around the Lithuanian bookshop. Felt like I was on holiday.....
M. a.
Friendly staff, great selection of Eastern European food.
l. b.
Great place for Eas Europeans
L. B.
This is a big food super market where they sell Lithuanian food from bakery to sweets to savoury to fish and meats they have everything if you’re a authentic Lithuanian goody this is your place.
R. u.
Good place to shop for food and flowers, jewellery. nice food in restaurant, lovely library with thousands of Lithuanian books and super service. Store is bit expensive
K. B. &. M. S.
I go there to the restaurant with my family mainly for lunch or dinner when to lazy to cook at home (everyone has they're favourite food). Allways ending up buying cakes from pattiserie lady from food shop floor - "muzikinis" is the best .
Recommending to all who want to try eastern European cuisine.
P.S. If you go there for dinner time - be prepared for dissapoinment as most popular dishes are sold out. Otherwise 5 star.
W. S.
The market gives a warm feeling. Fresh bakery and variety of meat products, barbecue selection, sweets, plus alot of eastern european foods. Upstairs u will find a restaurant, hair and beauty salon, book shop, jewlery and clean toilets.
A. K.
This lithuanian shop has everything you would expect from a lithuanian shop, only difference it's in UK!
Great prices considering import, can be crowded at evenings, but never waited more than 10minutes in a very large line.
In the second floor has a lovely lithuanian cafe/restaurant with traditional lithuanian dishes.
A beauty saloon, jewellery saloon and a book store.
Has clean and tidy restrooms!
S. M.
Looking for East European food then look no further! Great selection of Lithuanian, Latvian and Polish foods. They have another store in Stratford centre however this one has a larger selection.
O. A.
A decent selection of products, friendly staf, not a bad restaurant, great parking, but a lot of cars.
f. i.
The café food excellent as always, enjoy our visits to café. Drive from Midlands always worth it for excellent produce in shop.. Also would recommend visit to jewellery shop there, very nice range.
l. b.

If you in to Lithuanin food, than this is the store for you. Plus, Lituanica has a dining hall with cafe on the first floor where traditional food is served.
I like this place and recommend it to others.
E. T.
Nice home made Lithuanian food restaurant on 1st floor, one of the best if not the best I've tried in London. Lithuanian shop on ground floor is biggest in London I've been.
G. U.
quiet now nobody goes here anymore
A. K.
A truly authentic "feel-like-home" place. Security guard stares at you like you stole something, before you even stepped into the shop. No one speaks english, the items are often "mispriced". Despite all that Lithuanica is probably the biggest eastern european supermarket in London, offering vast selection of Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian and Polish products, have an in-house bakery and ready-made fresh food counter. Worth coming to to stock-up, but keep an eye on the expiry dates and double check that the products were not opened/used before.
T. M.
Eastern european Countryside food, so if you love potatos and healthy tasting food with very reasonable price you will enjoy it. Bowl of soup for 3£, steak with full garnish. 6£.
E. K.
I do liked food in Lituanica Becton, but last 3 visits the dumplings (cepelinai) was served almost cold and hard.
P. K.
Nice Lithuanian shop, also the food in buffet upstairs is gorgeous
S. B. (.
Amazing quality and great value for money! Loved the salad bar! Loads to choose from
A. C.
Very clean and tidy supermarket with good selection with goods, hot food, salads and meats! Check out restaurant upstairs as well.:)

Can get any food you like. Has a canteen as well. Not suitable for those who struggle to get up steep stairs as there is no lift.
A. Z.
My favourite place. Nice home made food !!! Especially home made doughnuts, coffee and tea !

Great food, sausages, salami, cooked rotisserie food, salad bar, European dairy products, great bakery and nice affordable food in the restaurant upstairs, nice schnitzel!
c. r.
A good place for Eastern European groceries there is a nice restaurant with good food however some items are way overpriced compared to other Shops of this kind.
G. W.
Easily THE rudest people ever ! Ignorant and indifferent, the shop workers are actually like this in Lithuania , if this was a national supermarket chain the staff would have been sacked ; one star for the staff ; two for the variety and fantastic rye bread
B. J.
Lovely place to shop and eat. My family enjoys eating home made food at the restaurant on secind floor !
V. P.
Huge selection of Eastern European foods, fresh or homemade. Right next to Home Bargains too, so you hit two birds with one stone A+++
