Reviews of Mercato Mayfair
R. F.
Nice place for wine and dine! Great church with lots of food stalls and bar which makes it so unique as a gathering place for people enjoying Friday night. Pizza and Pad Thai are nice and delicious. There is an abasement with lots of wine and simply decorated as a wine cellar.
F. E.
Such a beautiful church. Everything in there is v expensive, an ice cream is 4 pounds something but.wow the pistachio one is yum. Seems strange to have this money swapping and bartering in a church. Didn't Jesus go mad once when people were trading in a holy place and kick all the tables over?! It is good that people get to see this church. So over all would have to rate it quite highly although I can't say if it is very holy!
T. T.
Great spot with a good selection of options. Seating was hard to find at times, so be sure to check upstairs if the weather permits.
Likes the Lebanese food, want to make a reservation for charcuterie and wine downstairs sometime!
I.
Unique feeling of wine and dine in a converted church setting. We went as a big party so the space did feel a bit tight. Plenty of Food options, love the laksa and gyoza! Draft beers are also delicious!
m. f.
Great venue (converted church) Lots of choices for food. Opted for Malaysian which was delicious. Kraft beer awesome as well.
Get in early to get a seat.
S. M.
Appears to be a historic Church. Now converted to a trendy place - eat and drink! The place has a good vibe. Street food style setting. Two floors + a terrace. A unique place in London. Enjoy 😊
M. J.
Fans of ecclesiastical architecture might have a view about this church conversion.
A nice place to tick off a list of buildings worth a look.
I visited on a Sunday when there is high quality free live jazz. Lots of food stalls dotted around to choose from.
We were in the Crypt at a social gathering. I suppose these spaces were designed for silence so not for many people/ voices. The wine was eye-wateringly expensive, but nothing for platinum card holding Mayfair shoppers.
Worth a look.

A market inside an old church! Such a fantastic setup. Some food stalls and bars on the ground floor with lots of seating areas. Not a huge variety of food stalls compared to Mercato in Elephant and Castle though. Then there's the 1st floor balcony over looking the Atrium downstairs with more food stalls and seating area. There's a lovely rooftop terrace with heating too. Then there's a basement called wine cellar with wine and cheese tasting stalls, seating area and a bar. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed my visit. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic Hip food hall in a restored Mayfair church. They have a grocery shop, artisan product, two levels of food stalls, a roof terrace and a community space. Open 7 days a week. Just located off Oxford Street in Mayfair. Many types of food around the edges. We had an amazing steak from Santo grill and wine and beautiful cocktails in CHURCH 🥰 Go and taste it!
A. K.
Food and seating hall in the Boxpark style but sacrilegiously profane in a grand old church building. Some problems with cooking ventilation spoils some of the ambiance. Excellent to see a Badiani ice cream stall cos they are awesome. Serviceable pizza and expensive noodles and beer.
H. Y. W.
We randomly visited Mercato Mayfair and were impressed that it was renovated from an old church. The decor is brilliant, classy and wide-spaced with lots of indoor, outdoor & rooftop seating.
The options of vendor are limited and most are for alcohol, street food & desserts. We tried the gelato which is located on the first floor and it was really decent, but the price was a little high.
We just had one complaint, which was that water bottles were prohibited and they. need to be kept by the entrance. We were not familiar with the rules in London, but it’s the only request about water bottles we had experienced during our stay there.
A. K.
Incredible venue! Such exquisite architecture inside and out. Be aware no outside food or drink I had my water bottle taken from me! We have so much more to try but we started with the dumplings on the second floor. Had the pork gyoza and the chicken and mushroom and they were lights out! Super crispy on edges but not overly burnt! Cannot wait to come back! About £5 or $8.50 per order
T. P.
Loved this! Great idea. Lots of choice for food, with enough seating. Jazz on Sundays is awesome. There's also an outdoor area, that would be excellent in the summer. Highly recommended!
G.
Great experience! Can't say it didn't feel weird to eat and drink in a holy place but I must admit not too many changes were made to the structure so you can easily see how the church looked like before the Market was added.
An absolutely stunning decor and the food is just delish! Went out with two other foodies and we chose Italian and Malaysian food, accompanied with beer & cider.
For me, Pasta Lover, handmade pasta/ tagliatelle with prawns zucchini: very very good - didn't want to talk for the following 10mn because I was busy eating!
For my friends, 2 traditional dishes from Spicy Lab, which were very flavourful and pretty authentic apparently (did not have room to try then but I'll come back for it).
If you still have room for dessert then do make a stop at the ice cream stall, they have proper gelato!!
Wine bar (and toilets) downstairs as well as a cute shop at the front of the church.
Great location, fun idea and more importantly, amazing execution. Would recommend to come early to get a table :)
D. R.
Very cool location as long as you don't mind chugging beers amongst a Chapel dedicated to WW1. A large selection of food vendors, drinks and a fantastic wine and charcuterie selection in the undercroft. We'll worth a visit.
C. W.
This is a beautiful church converted into a food hall, 2 levels of food stalls, 1 rooftop terrace and a basement wine cellar and cheese shops. It's has a great buzzing atmosphere and a variety of fragrant aromas! It would be great if the ventilation was a teeny bit better.
L. S.
We ate at the ramen/dumplings place on the first floor. Amazing views of the central space. There’s a nice terrace at the upper floor as well, perfect to have chill drinks during summertime
O.
A church renovated food & beverage Hall, a very interesting concept filled with wonderful cathedral stained glass windows and pilers. This venue has 3 floors, including a terrace up top (lift included for wheelchair access)
There isn't that many stands inside compared to the one in elephant castle but it is definitely worth seeing.
M. R. A.
I have a nice experience. Really nice vibe.
If you're in central London go for it.
Thay have a really selection of food and drink. I recommend you to go downstairs it's like a wine sealer. The prices are alright.
I got one of my best calzone In London. It's full of cheese and flavor.
The mug of the larger From German Kraft bear was in spot. But nothing special. Probably the ales are much better but I'm not a big fun.
You can even book a table but it's not necessary during the week.
All the staff was friendly and helpful.
Keep going guys!
R. M.
The venue is stunning but a lot of other things let them down. When our group arrived slightly early we were treated like a major inconvenience even though the place was half empty. Then we were placed in a dimly lit side room next to a constantly revolving kitchen door. The wait for food was so long, then they ran out of prosecco (which I might add was prices ar £45 a bottle) and finally you will need a divining rod, a compass and satellite navigation to find their toilets.
I would love to be able to take friends here for a special treat but I just think the bad service could ruin the experience.
A. A.
Mercato Mayfair, opened in a restored London Church, Grade-I listed St Mark’s Church, is the second location of Mercato Metropolitano family. The church recently underwent a two-year £5 million revamp, so you can expect this to be one gorgeous food hall and cultural space. Two levels of food stalls and bars are accompanied by a rooftop terrace, whilst the vaulted crypt basement hosts an authentic wine cellar with fresh cuts and world cheeses, a micro-brewery, events and cookery classes for everybody to gather, learn and share. What a lovely place to send a Saturday evening. I would definitely go back soon.
J. W.
Here we went to Malaysian Street foods , The spice Lab at Mercato Mayfair and was amazed by the location when we stepped into the building ( taxi about 8-9 minutes from
High Comm, or 20-25 minutes walk) .
We were so excited to see the display of the foods at the stall with so much vibrant colour on the plate and so friendly owners. I have to say the foods are quite unique and quite different from what i used to eat in my region. One thing i have to assure you is everything cook with so passionate and alot of efforts that the chefs put in and u can taste every bite with unique flavours.
As a foodie person, i really appreciate people make foods sincerely with lots of passion and love. Which we never get the same at home.
Summary;
mutton curry is very soft and melt in your mouth.
Dried beef Rendang infused with lots of spices and quite unique.
Chicken satay and peanut sauce are very delicious and juicy.
Curry Vermicelli- the toufu pok/fried toufu is very flavourful and soft, curry is not heavy and very pleasant taste.
3 colourful rice- are very nice aroma
Fried Chicken- quite juicy and soft
Oh ya- they even marinated the salted eggs by themselves too! Ikan Bilis also imported all the way from Pangkor Island
Visit the stall and try it out by yourself !
Price are very reasonable with such location in central London.
H. C.
A beautiful place with incredible food ! What a perfect spot to have lunch on a Sunday. It has all kinds of food, we went for pasta and it was to die for. We then took an ice-cream that was succulent too. It can get a bit loud when the jazz band starts to play but you can always sit in front of the church or on the roof deck.
P. P.
It is food hall with amazing food stalls in a majestic church building. Also, it’s one of the precious eateries in London that is dog friendly. I highly recommend the Malaysian street food stall, The Spice Lab!
R. M.
I always love Mercato! The food is delicious and made with care, the interior is gorgeous and a very creative use of space and the staff are always friendly and professional. Central London's hidden gem for sure!
M. O.
Great place to go for launch or some drinks. Would love to see a live show there (there are some jazz venues).
Beautiful and playful. Go visit!
T.
I was only downstairs in the wine cellar. There was a vibrant buzzing atmosphere. Quite casual but as it was Friday night, some people were a little more dressed up. I take it that you can come as you please. They have a good range of wines. I absolutely loved the Georgian wines that they had. The orange was very interesting but the red was phenomenal. I will be buying a bottle.
M. A.
Amazing hidden place just seconds away from Oxford St. A bit crowded for my liking but it's a very cool place, especially the wine bar - much more quiet. I'll visit again.
A. R.
A lovely place to have a break. It was busy, but not too crowded when we visited on a Friday afternoon. Staff was friendley and food delicious.
G. Š.
What a unique food hall to eat, drink or simply look around. Has a basement with a bar, main hall in two floors and a terrace upstairs that gives a nice view. Huge variety of different restaurants/bars and cafes inside.
C. G. M. (.
Surrounded by the beautiful scenery and vibes of the Mercato Mayfair Food Hall, Gelato Badiani was the perfect snack to have on a warm yet rainy afternoon in London.
The ice cream is authentically Italian and there is a decent variety of flavours to choose from, both light and heavier in texture and taste.
We will definitely be visiting again.
A. S.
Came here with friends and food was amazing. The pasta was great but the gelato was definitely the highlight, easily the best gelato I’ve had. Try the two Buontalenti flavours - Pistachio and La Dolcevita.
R. P.
Amazing place to eat. Inside of an old deactivated church you great options of food and also a Gin distillery and beer Brewer so you can drink inside a church without being a sinner.
N. Y.
Really cool place. You come into a church but it's a food market! It's lovely to sit there and enjoy the view and the food! You can have a drink, lunch or something sweet. Perfect spot to make a stop while shopping on Oxford Street. We were lucky enough to come in on a Sunday and there was a band playing live jazz music!
A. B.
A must go place if you're in the area. Good food - I tried the Malaysian food upstairs, and great ambience. Looks better when bands perform.
E. b.
Beautiful and definitely different place for a food market in the heart of Central London. Loved the interior, the rooftop and the bodega downstairs. Food variety can definitely be improved and they didn't sale any Coca-Cola
T. J.
Excellent spot for casual dinner involving food and drinks sampling, great atmosphere, and the added benefit of the sanctity of the church this market calls home
A. B.
Beautiful church conversion. Lots of stalls and food options. Not terribly priced for the area. Food was quick and good. Wine in the cellar was decent. Cliental could have done with remembering to clear their own tables but there was a cleaner trying to keep up the best they could. Shall come back if in the area.
C. M.
Great choice of eateries and the Badiani ice-cream is delicious if somewhat expensive. The atmosphere improves at night when the place is full of young urbanites. Fabulous interior to see in this converted church.
T. T.
A small food court housed in a beautiful building which was previously a place of worship. There's a diverse variety of food stalls arranged on the ground and first floors.
A. P.
Very good atmosphere, nice background music, and great stalls with great food.
M. W.
What an amazing little oasis of calm this spot is!
Only had time for a quick drink, but so much choice in a stunning building!
J. A.
This place is lovely to look at, the church is beautiful and it is nice how many things have been preserved for visitors to see. Though, I will say that having a bin underneath one of the inscriptions did not feel right. In regards to the food, there is quite a bit of option, though not so much gluten free dishes in most stalls. I did manage to enjoy a mandarin chocolate loaf slice and get pork belly and roast potatoes from a different place. Overall quite good, would visit again if more gluten free options were available.
S. M. M. H.
super nice place to have lunch or brunch at, very authentic. The food is okay, the italian pizzeria downstairs has okay food and ride staff. The tables were not super clean but the whole place had very good vibes and energy. It was pretty crowded because i went on a weekend but i would recommend going a bit early for a brunch maybe.
R. S. P.
Pretty venue, lots of food choices - but better to book a table
N. A.
Great hidden place. An ex Church, very suggestive, lovely location with loads of food and beverage options! A must see! I'll definitely be visiting this venue more often!
H. B.
Incredible location. Wide selection of food options. Incredible building and Decor. Obviously the highlights are the great Gin from Jim & Tonic, and the authentic German Beers from German Kraft.
Don't miss out on the Upper Terrace and the Crypt.
The Speakeasy bar in the Crypt is the place for Gin and Tonics and Cocktails, but the Altar Bar can serve your needs as well.
K.
As someone who dislikes mayfair this was actually a surprising nice find. Set in what looks like an old church with high ceilings, echoey acoustics and beautiful stained glass windows.
Different types of food around the edge and drinks places with lots of places to sit.
A.
Really beautiful and unique. Sunday afternoon they have live jazz - amazing! A bit hard in finding a table though, many visitors…
D. S.
Amazing market with delicious food. Absolutely loved my pasta from Pasta London place! They also have some pumpkins for Halloween. Five stars!
A. D.
A 💎 in the heart of the city. Would advise to visit on a weekday night like I did as weekends could get crowded. Lots of choices for food in this cool church turned market. There's a crazy pad-Thai on the upper level and the Pistachio gelato from downstairs was brilliant.
F.
Such a unique food and drink location. Something for everyone, with a really low key vibe for mayfair.
Jim and Tonic has an excellent range of gin too!
K. H.
We went there for a mid-afternoon coffee and the place was absolutely bustling (in a good way!). We ordered a decaf cappuccino with oat milk which was delicious.
The church renovation is incredible. Great use of space and with well executed interior decor.
Definitely worth visiting!
S. M.
Awesome vibe in an old church. The pizza place makes amazing pizza’s - the base is delicious and just needs simple toppings. The kraft beer place is good, serving beers in these cool mugs/steins. Worth a visit
A. M.
Beautiful church that has been converted to a market. There’s something for everyone. I ordered from the bao dumpling stand. My food was just okay. The pork bun was much better than the dumplings. For the price, I should have gone to a real restaurant.
M. P.
Food court wise: absolutely beautiful and a must visit. The tables on the higher level are short of space but you'll still find a place to sit
Church wise: if the place is unused in Mayfair, and no sort of service, I'd say why not gather people in to enjoy the space. Whether or not private companies should be bartering inside that s another conversation..
Price wise: prices in London are prices in London because of high rent. Why is it so expensive to get lunch in this Mercato in a church....
D. J.
Amazing place! Highly recommended. The building is stunning and the food is great. There is such an amazing selection from Malaysian to Italian. It has lots of little food stalls to choose from.
J. M.
The attraction of this market is that before was a church and now a market where you can buy Italian products, food and gelatos! There are other cuisines as well!, nice place to have a drink and spend a Sunday afternoon.
E. L.
Lively food hall. Live jazz band on a Sunday afternoon.
C. G.
Very cool place with great food options !
A. L.
Amazing experience, you need to try it at least once. I for example never ate lunch in a church before. The pasta was amazing, but there are also other things to eat that looked yummy. It’s also in the heart of Mayfair, which is one of my fav posh locations in London. It’s nice to go for a walk around the area afterwards!
D. S.
Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was very good (pasta and bao buns)
Drinks are slightly pricey and unfortunately ran out of German lager. Definitely worth a visit and I will be returning to try other food options!
A. N.
Excellent Malaysian fare at the Spicy Lab (upstairs on the left side). The nasi lemak comes with 4 different types of rice, making the presentation superb! The condiments were great and generous. Loved the achar! Will definitely be back to try the laksa next time!
R. S.
Food market in a church! Nice variety of food stalls ranging from rotisserie chicken and pizza to ramen and satay. Some dishes seem a bit expensive for what you get, but the lunch time deals on weekdays are pretty good.
S. C.
Very cool spot with an excellent selection of food from all over the world. We loved the Lebanese food
B. D. S.
Marvellous location, good selection and top quality food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Avoid busy times, otherwise you won’t find a seat. It’s worth more than a visit. Highly recommended
B. J.
Fabulous place for a bite to eat and lovely drinks. We enjoyed gin cocktails, German beer and an Italian steak platter! Will definitely be back!
S. W.
Great place near Selfridges - ideal place for a quick pizza and gin cocktail. Nice setting in an old church - good outpost of Mercato Metropolitano in Mayfair
S. B.
Fabulous find ! Fabulous food, beer and wine. Amazing stained glass window as a backdrop! Can't wait to return to enjoy a glass or 2 of wine & the fresh pizza n pasta!
K. T.
Very chilled after work vibe. Not very big but amazing ambiance and a great terrace on the third floor ideal for a drink.
V. K.
Food hall in a beautiful old church! Great vibe and lots of different drink and food options.
M.
Not what you expect when you enter. This church has been beautifully renovated and the space used in a great way. There is a good variety of food available and enough seating to choose from. We had cold chicken wraps from the Rico Coco which were freshly made. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially when "breaking the ice". Badiani ice cream on the ground floor is a must while you wander round the building to see it's beauty.
C. B. K.
Love this place, set in an old church, nice variety of food and drinks. Which you can’t really go wrong with.
Though I’d have put a cocktail bar that doesn’t just specialise in gin - rest of the market is kind of left out... Also not happy about having tiny plastic cups for when we got beer from the bar. Understand the corona thing but such a waste with plastics... Also makes gives the drink a cheap festival beer feel that doesn’t reflect the essence of the drink.
FYI photos were from the little vegan restaurant area (Holy Carrot) - delicious!
I. S.
Characterful little indoor food market huddled inside an interesting location. Due to the small venue there's not room for many different options, the main cuisines being pan-asian and italian. We had the pad thai from the Thai place upstairs. It was a tasty dish and generous with the chicken and prawns but I wouldn't call it authentic. Much too saucy and too much ketchup in the sauce. Overall much too sweet for Pad Thai rather than the tangy, sticky and umami dish it should be.
I give the review 4 stars however because of the phenomenal confit pork bao from the Bao place across the balcony. Absolutely silky, melt in your mouth pork fat glazed in a sticky hoisin sauce with vibrant spring onions and refreshing cucumber. Not cheap at £5.40 for one bao but honestly worth it with a generous piece of meat in there.
In my opinion the other branch of Mercato Metropolitano near elephant & Castle is miles better with much more space, options and outdoor seating too.
s. v.
Nice selection of good restaurants under one roof . Architecturally it feels really soulless and the security is really pushing people to go away even though there were still 30 mins left before closing time . The Elephant and castle branch has more character . I’m not rushing to go back there
t. m.
Amazing venue, great food choices, don't miss out on the Gelato
M. B.
Beautiful old church. There are a few good options to eat: from pizza and pasta to burger and malasian food. Cocktails and beers. A bit pricey but you can expect this in Mayfair.
I. K.
Gorgeous place to sit, eat from the many many cuisines available, and even work. There is a nice rooftop terrace with tables as well.
N. L. P.
Beautiful place in an old church. Good and original food, not too expensive regarding London prices. Nice too to stop for a drink, from coffee to cocktails.
L. G.
I met my friend here for dinner after work. When you pass through the grand entrance you are greeted by a collection of plastic water bottles, presumably confiscated by the bouncer to encourage people to purchase some organic kombucha from the Italian themed delicatessen to the right. Continue straight ahead to the main event – a multi-level assortment of “street food” stalls, boasting cuisines from all over the world, built into what must have once been an impressive and moving church.
Screening out the chattering din of fashionable metropolitans, you can just about imagine where the glorious choir would sing ancient hymns, stood in heavenly white robes to the right of the altar and to the left of the artisanal German lager stall. Turn around and you’ll see a startling stained glass window portrait of the Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by his disciples, casting his gaze of love, grace and mercy upon the millennials queueing below for the highly appealing vegan falafel wrap. In fact the entire building is an exquisite (deliberate?) living metaphor for the transformation of Britain. A thousand-year-old religious culture plastered over by an exuberant celebration of the victorious cult of Anywhere. It reminded me of the Hagia Sophia. Anyway the curry laksa was lovely, if a little overpriced.
A. L.
Mercato Mayfair is located inside a lovely old church. It has a cozy atmosphere and overal the staff are friendly there. Definitely try the Ginseng cappuccino and the ice cream.
L. B.
Loved it, the security guards assisted us to park our bicycles. Very important as driving in London is a nightmare. A majestic building, lots of floors and great choice of food and a jazz band in the background creating a lovely atmosphere
B. M.
Awesome building. Lovely atmosphere. Great options for food. Though, the pasta I had was average at best.
M. L.
Beautiful place to meet up friends and good variety of foods and drinks. We really enjoyed the Malaysian foods, especially the nasi lemak, fried chicken, satay and laksa. You need to meet those lovely people working at Malaysian food stall located on first floor!
S. J.
My friend introduced me to this place...what a great concept! You have multiple different vendors (cuisines) they have both veg and non veg options. I was spoilt for choice and settled for a falafel instead of Pad Thai, but I'll be back to try the others soon! You place your order and are issued with buzzers so when your food is ready you can go and collect it.
The actual building is amazing, it's inside a Church building which is beautiful, such intricate details and beautiful architecture. There is seating both downstairs and upstairs, you get a lovely view from the upper seating area.
M. S.
The great Sunday afternoon with live jazz at an amazing venue!
K.
Lovely relaxed place to have lunch with quality food choices. The venue is beautiful to look at. The staff were so friendly and helpful assisting my friend and I with our babies as the lift was out of service that day. They brought up high chairs for us and made sure that we were comfortable. Will be returning again!
n. p.
Amazing church that turned into a foodhall.
It is possibly the noisiest church though.
R. F.
Amazing venue. Inside a church with beautiful stained glass windows. Food choices are limited. Seating is limited. Portions are small and not worth it. Two tiny baos for £9!!! I would go there for drinks or to impress your guests only. Private restaurant upstairs, was empty at peak times. I would recommend the Mercato in Elephant & Castle instead.
R. G.
Good food from around the world, a good selection of drinks, live music… all inside a church!
What else are you looking for?! 😉
C. C.
Very nice venue. We were seated in the wine cellar which had a nice ambience.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. We had pre-ordered wine and charcuterie/cheese boards which were lovely.
We also had the option of going upstairs to the main hall and ordering food/drinks and bringing them back down to our tables so lots of options.
A good night overall!
m. k.
Absolutely amazing place to have a fresh food and delicious . The fact that was a church turned too food court makes it so beautiful the architecture inside .
A lot of food variants pasta ,pizza ,turkish, cafe ,gelato and bar is amazing .when u are in mayfair give it a visit you will never regret .
L.
The venue in the old church is absolutely amazing!!! We ate Steamy & Co and is one of the best Bao N Dumplings I've tried in London. My fave was the Bao w beef brisket. I tried one of each and all of them are very tasty and delicious. The Bao is a tad sweeter and fluffy than its closely related cousin, the Dumpling. Definitely you have to try both. The Steamy staff is very friendly, helpful and polite...... I read some reviews for high prices. Come on guys 1st we're in London and 2nd in MAYFAIR the prices are low in the whole venue. I'll go again for sure
E. E.
Absolutely beautiful venue just off Oxford Street, Marble Arch end. Wide range of food and drink available at reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. When I went on Sunday afternoon, there was a jazz band playing and the place was full.
X. C.
Amazing atmosphere! We had our lunch there with live band playing at the background! Simply awesome place. We tried the Malaysian stall and pizza- the pizza is one of the best pizza I’ve ever tried! The laksa, nasi lemak were really authentic too!
M.
Lovely location in a former church. The building is very well preserved and gives a unique feel to the place. Good selection of food and drinks. Plenty of vegetarian options. The portions can be small on some dishes, for the price paid, but the taste is very good. There’s also a grocery shop at the entrance.
P. M.
Stunning food hall in this Grade I listed former church building, possibly one of the most beautiful food halls in Europe. The Spice Lab Malaysian food vendor on the 1st floor, on the left hand corner would be my recommendation. Excellent food.
S. M.
I really like this place as you can sit and chill with your friends and they can all get whatever they need. There is a nice selection to choose from. I wouldn't say everything is super delicious here - the drinks are also okay, but it's a good hang out place. I got stracciatella ice cream for over £4 but didn't love it.
C. T.
The store is open for the best fresh baked Italian bread in town and Italian store bought food. Its been a long wait for their pizza & if you like a good T-Bone your dream steaks from Italy has arrived. It a small bar grill upstairs (there about 10 eateries) the other is freshly made pasta and some real pro bartenders. I could go and on about the basement bar and and food platters...just such frest authentic Italian food and wine. No need to ever go anywhere else - - hard to beat.
M. B.
Great food market with a number of tasty options, a variety of bars and food seating. Unique venue.

Beautiful place, I guess with less people it's even more enjoyable. Drink table service was impeccable and ordering food from the app it's a plus, so no need to queue to order and pay. I would just add pictures to have a better idea of what ordering. I had fish and all was very good and found my amazing Italian food at the shop at the entrance. Definitely coming back!
A.
Really impressive venue, though getting a table is incredibly hard so go early!! The pasta place on the ground floor was delicious!
L. C.
What a stunning location. A hidden Gem. Lots of food places and great variation. Wine, beer and Gin bars also here and good coffee shop also, all on different levels of the building. Great pop-in and explore place. Beautiful reused church. Would highly recommend a visit.
M. J.
Incredible. Great German beer, amazing selection of fantastic food. Lebanese and Bao place had great vegetarian meals. Cocktails were great. Managed to find a table for 5 on a Saturday evening. Absolute gem.
W. H.
Such a beautiful place to visit and have a drink and eat. All the food was amazing!
A. N. R.
The Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair's crypt has a lovely wine bar and cantina called Santo Grill & Wine. Aside from the delicious wines and rustic crypt ambience, the best part of Santo is its people, including Ernesto Angulo, one of the best and most entertaining sommeliers I have met in London and even beyond.
Ernesto was so helpful in assisting me to organise a birthday party held at the Santo Grill & Wine, in the basement crypt of Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair in Dec-2021. It was by chance that I met Ernesto about a month before that party whilst my girlfriend and I were browsing the basement crypt at MMM. Since meeting him he was the best host possible in helping me to organise a wine tasting - including French and Italian wines along with hors d’oeuvres - and a table for our group of 14 invitees. Not only was Ernesto so helpful, courteous and professional but he is just as knowledgeable about wines (and much more!) so our entire group really enjoyed his hosting of our wine tasting, the party and his company. Gracias Ernesto!
A. R.
Great place. Choice of different street foods, German beer, gin bar or cocktails all in great building and atmosphere
C. G.
Really nice place and use of the original features. Great choice of food and drinks, nice little grocery section and the basement cheese wine charcuterie. This place will be popular with the Office lunches and after work crowds especially in the summer. The Baos and Dumplings were nice, the Turkisk bread boats looked yummy, pizza and pastas looked and smelled amazing. Love the concept!
J. S.
Beautiful food market in a former church, so it is quite spectacular ro visit. The basement/crypt is focused on wines and drinks and the ground and first floor on food with pizza, pasta, baos, ice cream and seafood options. There is also a Turkish restaurant making pide, something similar to a pizza.
m. p.
Nice place inside a ex-church.
Plenty of choices, from ramen to pizza.
Nice cosy terrace as well.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Really recommend
M. A.
This is a very special find. Amazing food stalls ( lots of them) around a refurbished and amazing church, food, bars, all in communal seating....
J. Z.
Really cool! This is actually a food market in an old church :) nice vibe and plenty of food and drinks options! Had a delish curry, and some of my friends went for pizza, which was already very tasty! Nice choice of G&Ts, wines and beers :)
P. K.
This place Is simply amazing. The perfect place for breakfast, lunch, brunch and even dinner! Amazing Italian croissants, and chocolate tarts! Make sure to check the choco tart and the pistachio icecream at Coffee Badiani! Amazing options for brunch including Pizza Napoletana, Homemade pasta, Turkish cuisine, Bao and dumplings. For drinks there is raw bar with smoothies, Kraft beer, and a lot of cocktails! The cocktails are amazing with a huge variety! Try the ones on second floor! For more exquisite experience there is even an restaurant on the second floor. And of course I forgot to mention that the place is inside a CHURCH! Precious London gem! Definitely go and check it out!
J. S.
Lovely atmosphere and great place to meet socially where everyone can figure out what they want to eat and drink. Enjoyed mocktails at the Gin bar. Recommend booking tables as it can get very busy.
L. J. S.
Always wanted to come here. Good selection of food and the prices are decent
J. R.
Stunning building, and a great variety of food vendors.
J. M.
An amazing place. It is a church that has been converted into a food and entertainment venue. On this visit I didn't try the food but listened to the Jazz band that was playing.
B. F.
Loved this place, architecturally stunning, a converted church Inc stained glass windows with lots of different options of street food, from steaks to vegan options. When I popped in there was a band playing live.
M. B.
Beautiful place, amazing jazz music on Sunday.
However italian food is totally overrated. I ordered Pasta cacio e pepe for £10, it was too expensive and very very far from a delicious meal.
A. K.
Cool venue when its not packed as hell. Overpriced mediocre quality food and drinks & non existing customer service. Used to be better.
l. t.
It's amazing, a bit crowded but it's very nice to see a market inside a church...and the food It's so good
M. Z.
It's only recently we learnt that this place exists. Interia is great, as it's an old church, stil with loads of original features, that had been converted into a temple of food. Italian mostly, but also Turkish, Japanese & malaysian.i am hoping to take full advantage of the roof terrace on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend.
V. c.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. Market in a church and amazing food!
T. T. R. L.
A really nice environment to have dinner and chat with friends as the place is lively and not too noisy. However, it can get really crowded during peak hours.
Plenty of food/drinks to choose from but we decided to have Malaysian food. The Nasi Lemak, Rendang, Sambal prawns add-on were good although it is slightly pricey.
All in all..would definitely return to try more food in the future.
L. E.
It's a hidden gem, it's beautiful inside and there is plenty of choice to eat and drink. It's a tiny bit cold inside so do not forget to dress up warm. We got the Dumplings and the Bao buns - both delicious and not overpriced. You can order via your phone or on the counter. Do not forget to charge your phone before to come, you need to scan a barre code to access to the menu
T. W.
Nice ambience when I came it was still early during the opening time. However I can imagine how claustrophobic it could be when crowds start coming in. There's a wonderful range of cuisine to choose from and even a grocery store..worth checking this place out also for its historical significance. It was formerly St. Mark's church, a Grade I listed building in the Mayfair conservation area.
S. H.
Really cool venue with food stands in the church- food is casual but fun for a group or casual date. I’ve been a few times and have had luck getting a table with no wait each time
g. d. p.
Love love love it ! Great selection of different food stalls and great drinks. My favourite is the meat one upstairs where you can find amazing bistecca alla fiorentina at great price !
S. L.
Amazing hidden gem in Mayfair! So many different cuisine choices and for reasonable prices. The church is spectacular! Will definitely be back 👌
R. K. D.
Cool ambience, good food, love music — a perfect match
P. R.
Mercato Mayfair in St Mark’s on North Audley Street is Mercato Metropolitano’s second site after the original one in Elephant & Castle.
Beautiful restored in an old church there are a different selection of food & drink outlets over the ground, 1st floor (by lift or stairs) and basement bar and brewery.
These include:
Cha Cha a seafood and cocktail bar
Pasta London
Lala serves up Traditional Turkish Pide
Fresco offers Neapolitan pizza in their wood oven
Badiani is all about authentic Italian gelato (not ice cream!) and coffee originally founded in Florence since 1932
Raw Bar creates freshly-prepared sushi and raw Asian-style food
Steamy & Co, makes delicious selection of Asian-style Bao buns and steamed dumplings.
German Kraft are MM’s resident brewery
The Italian Steak House, Santo Grill and Wine offers Italian-style grilled meats, including steak and burgers
There is also a small food supermarket at the front of the building to pick up Italian supplies.

Postives:
- Beautiful place
- Many restaurants to eat at
- roof top Graden, smokers :)
- Served alcohol
- Fresh practice market available as you walk in
Negative:
- sometimes there was not available seating to share a meal
- this is just my opinion but it is quite sad to see a church, once a place of prayer and hope converted to a dining place
I.
Amazing mercato in Mayfair! The Holy Carrot restaurant is great – delicious food and friendly staff!
Just go and enjoy yourself there! Won't regret it!
W.
Its a really nice place to be just off Oxford Street. I have enjoyed lunch ( pizza nad truffle pasta) and a coffee there on a Sunday afternoon. Great spot for a quick bite or a drink, there’s plenty of food to choose from. I’m rating it 4 stars because I have visited it for a second time on a Friday evening. It is not a nice place for a pint, not enough place to sit/stand and a little bit too hot in my opinion. But overall definitely worth going.
V. D.
Really impressive place, a very nice church with pieces of real art and very good food inside.
You feel strange being in a church and in a market place too, but very very nice place.
K. R.
Beautiful food Hall of Independant street food companies inside an old church. The astherics have been keeps true to the church. Looks stunning.
Y. C.
All the stars go for this venue, architecture. Enjoyed the view from both ground and 1st floor.
A stunning, beautiful food hall and a cool underground drinking place but I agree with some of the reviews here about the food price. A dish cost £9-12 easily and you'll have to spend more because the portion is not great.
I visited this place weekday around 3pm, just right amount of people. Overall, this church makes this food court standout from others, that's why I'm here for. Find a corner, have a drink to appreciate the venue + atmosphere.
A.
Nice atmosphere and yummy food. Loved it!
There are different food options.
R. D.
One of the craziest ideas for a cafe, but the most amazing experience. Loved the food, the music especially, been here on a Sunday, had the brunch and dinner as well, and a little tip for you guys, you can buy bottles of wine or any prosecco or champagne from the basement wine and cheese vinoteka, and you can have it upstairs on your table, if you don't want to pay at the bar.
e. l. g.
Really cool place for a quick bite, they have a terrace 😍lots of options to choose from in a beautiful location
F. L.
Amazing place. Good to see how alternative use of churches can look like.
Good variety of food. Though, slightly pricy.
E.
What a stunning place this is! Unique and absolute new gem! Still very relaxed as it’s not really known to most. You can enjoy a pizza or fresh pasta while having a beer or a cocktail.. and all of it while some cool jazz music plays and you are surrounded by such great interiors! This formerly church is so elegant! Only lack for now is the free wifi but I guess this is still a work in progress.. will definitely come back soon to see further developments!
J. W.
They had just released a new app when we visited which had a lot of teething issues, meaning it took nearly an hour to get our first round of drinks.
No fault of the staff though, who did their best to work around the issue and were very appologetic.
The beers were great, pizza somewhat disappointing as it lacked flavour and was quite soggy. Pad Thai also soggy and overall disappointing.
They are dog friendly though, and have tables for larger groups. The building itself is beautiful too.
It was a convenient option for us (group of 6) however not sure I'd go out of my way to return.
F.
Amazing place! Long queue but definitely worth it. The location is breathtaking, however prices are a bit too high (we spent around £50 for two pizzas and two glasses of wine!).
Worth a try!
D. L.
A church turned into a great food and drinks place. A lot of options, pizza, meat, fish and others. Several drink options and the whole basement floor and a wine cellar. The place is very unique and definelty worth a visit just to check it out, but you better come hungry :)
M. C.
I'm super excited to be in this amazing old church. It's a fascinating place many details trendy people and amazing athmosfere
L. C.
Nice market inside an old church
Had Napolitano pizza was very good
K. A.
Great place with a wide range of restaurants.I tried the Pink Tea Cafe,it was a nice experience.
W. R.
What an amazing lunch spot! A lot of variety to choose from, quiet space outside if the weather is good. Would highly recommend it
A. B. -. B. P. E.
Very intriguing place, with so much history. A great place for a chill Sunday or Saturday evening with friends or family. Don't forget to check the wine cellar.
B. D.
Craft beers a gin bar and lots of lovely food stalls to pick from all set up in a beautiful old church.
W. B.
The same price of a pint for 2/3 of a pint for me is robbery but the pizza was good.
M. W.
What a find. plenty of food and drink to choose from in a quirky setting.
S. S.
A little conflicted about going into here. It's a converted church and they're using the altar as a bar. Not sure if this is blasphemous but if you're religious you may feel uncomfortable going in. The vegan restaurant had a very good menu nonetheless.
n. s.
Fantastic setting, great food at a good price in Central London . Great roof terrace though the chairs aren't so comfortable.
J. I.
Worth to visit. It's beautiful building and food court. Good photo spot. Not sure food is excellent. Hygiene & cutlery needs to be improved.
M. C.
An excellent setting for a food hall. Had a lovely lunch here. Plenty of great choices for food. The seating is spaced sufficiently for COVID. Bao buns and dumplings were quality.
E. L. G.
Mercato Mayfair is a stunning food hall in Mayfair in an old restored London church from the same team as Mercato Metropolitano based in Elephant & Castle The Grade-I listed St Mark’s Church had a whopping two-year £5 million revamp and is SO impresssive. They offer dishes from all around the world, as well as plenty of local drinks.
D. O.
Smaller than the one in Elephant & Castle but that might be an advantage. The terrace is doable and only for a few moments we felt the place was overcrowded, which is an achievement for a Saturday evening.
S. P.
Beautiful setting in a decommissioned church, several food stalls with delicious food. Just a bit pricey but worth the visit if only for a coffee. Plenty of food choice from seafood to pizza, sushi to burger or even gelato.
Л. В.
Very very nice. Seems that it was converted from a church, previously. Highly recommend the basement bar - they do orange wine there...
I. T.
Dined our in the restaurant area upstairs. Everything was amazing!
Chicken pate and boar pasta are highly recommended
T. S.
Lovely place, live music every Sunday I believe. We stopped for coffee and a snack, tables could be cleaner and it's very hard to social distance.
A. ..
Too crowded but nice place to grab a bite
G. D.
Love mercato, great vibes, good variety of drinks and food. The fact that it's in the church ⛪ makes it fun to visit for tourist.
Z.
Great building and friendly staff. Quite a few food options, but the background music was too loud.
C.
You don’t expect how cool this place is, it’s more shocking in real life. However the selection of food it’s not that great, when the place it’s busy takes long time to be served, and of course it’s expensive. But it deserves going once at least to see the building. Quite a lot posh people, but not surprising considering the area.
S. K.
Church converted into a food hall. Really cool and different setting. Good variety of food. Prices in the £10-15 range. Good looking portions. Quite busy. Has toilets.
M. P.
Well this place is all you'll ever need, the food and drinks are really good. The staff are uncommonly lovely. Visit.
F. O.
Simply the best Italian sausages in London at Santo Grill! Due to the nature of the venue, fewer tables (and space) compared to other food courts. Choose off-peak hours if you want to enjoy food
D. V.
Great food hall. It is located inside a beautiful reconverted church. Nice variety of food stalls. I tried the homemade pastas, which were delicious. I will definitely come back.
B. M.
Very cool venue. Prices are high though but expected in this kind of location. :)
I. N.
The pizza is the best! Perfectly beautiful venue too very relaxing
L. J.
I was there for a jazz OGG'S event. Great sound and good food.
N. L.
Good food in the heart of London.. The fact that the place is inside an actual church makes it more interesting.
G. F.
Amazing venue with live music on Sunday had couple cocktails and one of the best Pad Thai I've tried in London with a side of freshly made spring rolls and their homemade sweet chilli sauce wow wow wow, just gets really busy but will come back for more.
A. W.
Really fun market with lots of food and drinks. Wish there was more seating available though as can be tricky to find a space.
A. M.
Lovely place with a lot of choices! Nice place with history! Food delicious for all the tastes 😍😍😍
A. A.
What an amazing transformation. Church to food haven. jazz was great. All-round fab place
M. D.
A former church converted into a food hall, and what a gem. From Gelato to Pad Thai, there's something for everyone here.
N. Y.
Lovely place yet very busy, difficult to find a spot to sit in the weekends
K. D.
My first time drinking beer in a church! The one “brewery” only had two kinds of beer and neither tasted particularly good but the ambiance more than made up for it.
A. C.
Nice location inside an ex-church. Outstanding terrace. Wide choice of etno Mediterranean meals. Nice place indeed where to have a good lunch. Price aligned with the area. Don't miss the lampredotto at the Tuscany stand.
G. G.
I love the market. Good food and good drink selection. Very suggestive place, converted church.
M. d. B.
Beautiful venue with lots to eat/drink and explore!
L. C.
This church is a great venue to grab a drink or eat something with some friends ! There are about 12 stands with many options - pizza, pasta, bao & dumpling, Turkish food, several bars and even an ice cream place :)! There are seats on the 2 floors. At the entrance of the church, there is a shop with nice food !
F. P.
A variety of foods and drinks, definitely a place worth visiting and coming back over and over again.
V. N.
Amazing food in truly beautiful location, the terrace at the top is lovely!
G.
Can be a bit of a maze when it’s your first visit, but they have excellent choice of food.
If you go up to the first floor you’ll be able to find their outside terrace.
N. W.
Perfect venue for a night out with friends. You can all eat and drink exactly what you want from the different food stalls. Awesome location too.
M.
An absolutely unmissable destination. This part of London is so full of forgettable chain restaurants and Mercato Metropolitano flies the flag for incredible food and drink. Not just brilliant for a night out, the decor an beauty is unmissable. Thanks for such a great night
R. S.
Located in a beautiful old church and a little more Hipster than you might have expected in Mayfair. Excellent food though.
V. T.
Interesting building. I like that an old place has modern street food stalls. But great place to socialize with friends/colleagues
But very hot inside the venue. More fans required.
M. T.
This second Mercato outpost in Mayfair is charming, located in a converted church and brimful of fantastic food and drink options. I’m personally a huge fan of the outdoor ambience and the quirky converted containers at the Elephant & Castle location, but this offers something pleasantly different, especially if you’re looking for somewhere unique in central London. My recommendation it to let the truffle smell guide you to the homemade pasta stall.
C. C.
This market makes use of n old Church and is a stunning place to grab a bite to eat (maybe hold off on the drinks as they are overpriced and very small).
The atmosphere is great but there is a limited range of cuisine.
Nevertheless, I was impressed by the quality of the Marinara pizza.
There is also a lovely rooftop area.
T. P.
Really cool interior and lots of variety to choose from many types of food!
D. P.
Certainly worth a visit, thanks to its wonderful atmosphere. Quite a good variety of food, but not of great quality.
K. M.
Absolutely amazing gem in the middle of London. Food at a decent price for this area, quick efficient service, nothing to complain about
G. A.
Very nice place/church with a good selection of food and drink options!
N. J.
The decor and vibe was very nice, can't lie felt a bit weird to drink alcohol in a church. So it did have a bit of a strange vibe but I did enjoy the food and the variety.
B. S.
Really nice! Was very busy when we came in.
Check out the terrace and the bar below too!
D.
Great place to visit and enjoy street food and drinks.
Unique location in a church, great atmosphere, delicious food and good value for money.
Highly recommended!
C. G.
Mercato is always a fun stop. The setup is unique, the food is always vibrant and the atmosphere is friendly and lively
M. S.
A church converted to a food court, multiple food options, we had pizza and beer
C. S.
Super nice place, ideal location. Varied foods. One of the best coffee in the neighborhood
K. M.
Very pretty building. Nice selection of Italian food.
I. L.
What a space? I mean wow! This new market in Mayfair from the successful mercato metropolitano in elephant and castle will have your jaws dropping! Think steak, bao buns, pasta, gelato, middle eastern food and of course coffee, cocktails and wine! The interior is simply stunning - a beautiful church beautifully renovated to the highest standards and lots of plants all over the place. Perfect for any time of the day and a few footsteps away from Oxford street, it’s definitely worth stopping by or making a night out of it, if not for the food and drinks, at least for the gram! Come on, take me to church.
N. T.
Great atmosphere, loads of food and drink choises. We really enjoyed it.
a. b.
The venue is amazing for quick bite,
Unfortunately have bad experience with very old croissant :(
M. C.
The idea of using a "useless" and cultural place like a church... Is amazing! Means something .. people are changing... Anyway,I loved so much the place, the Italian pizza was superb and the atmosphere is great.... The only thing is, the seats and the varieties of food you could go for:) but I will come back for sure.
A. M.
Steins pricey
Could’ve made better pasta at home - no sauce, portions perfect for a child, unhappy with the quality and for 10 pounds.
C.
Make sure to eat dumplings and buns at Steamy and Co, its on the second floor/balcony area. The food was D licious
S. D.
+ Great ambience, good choice of food and brew
- struggle to get a table to sit down.
C. R.
Love the experience in this place. The interior deco. The weekend live band. And the delicious food at The Lab Spice stall
O. C.
Beautiful environment and we really enjoyed the food. Love the mood of that place.
M. P.
Great place to eat or have a drink. Very athmosferic. Great Italian shop
R. S.
Great variety of food and great atmosphere. Reception staff very welcoming and sure I'll be back.
S. A.
Oh man
OMG
If ur still not go there so ur in the wrong place right nw Believe me
This is one of the best place you’re going to go in your life The atmosphere everything around must try
J. D.
Quite possible one of the most unique and cool places I have ever visited. My coworker and I happened upon IL Mercado by accident and what a wonderful surprise.
e. E.
Lovely venue, great food choices and an awesome place to meet with friends!
J. C. O.
A unique experience the most Mecato I have ever seen.
J. T.
Loved the idea! Diverse food court in a quirky setting. We enjoyed the Lebanese food.
H.
We celebrated my husband's birthday here. Quite impressed with the standards of service and of course the food!
Regardless of the current situation with social distance, the time spent in the "Holy Carrot" flew by in an atmosphere of special comfort and fun. It should also be noted that none of us are vegetarian, but we ate our dishes with special pleasure. Great variety of food and reasonable prices. I want to pay special attention to sushi and portobello mushroom burger! Not trying them is a crime)))
Will we come back here again? Certainly!
T. T.
Great place but a bit hard to get a table or enjoy the vibe. Needs a bit more crown control.
S.
Food hall in the beautiful location of a former church. In house jazz band. A little over priced considering its self service.
A. C.
Like the location in an old church. Lots of good places to eat with quality food and good also on drinks with their classic beers and searched cocktails.
Only things, smaller than the other in E&C and lack of seats.
S. P. N.
A super funny place where to have a nice evening with good quality and variety of food and drinks. The place itself is an old church transformed in a market. The atmosphere is awesome as you are drinking and eating in a religious place! On the basement there is the wine section with high quality charcuterie selection and huge selection of wines. Also, at the entrance there is a Italian delicatessen. A super funny place, highly suggested!
S.
Amazing food market with loads of choice of food and wine. I had the Malaysian curry and dumplings which were delicious!
N. M.
Lovely wine bar downstairs!
H. K.
No need to be playing music that we hear everywhere else. The uniqueness of the venue would be better appreciated without the music
E. S. P.
We had a really good time at Mercato Mayfair! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and stopped by for a quick coffee ☕. However, we will definitely be back for some food! The atmosphere is magic (especially with the live jazz music 🎶 in the background!) and the food offer wide! I would totally recommend visiting when around Mayfair. Make sure to check out the lower ground area (gin bar) - stunning interiors and fantastic atmosphere!
T. S.
I know this is Mayfair but it's basically a mall food court at Mayfair prices no service no customer experience but I lovely location in the old St Marks church Mayfair
L. R.
Who would ever imagined having a gin and tonic inside a church, with great food options and vibrant atmosphere? Definitely one of a kind.
N. T.
Beautiful! The space and range of food make this a wonderful place to visit to get a change of scenery from either Oxford St. or Mayfair.
Placing orders requires an app. so get on to the free Wi-Fi when you get there.
B. B.
Various food court. Nice seating area. Food slightly pricy.
I suppose it's London prices.
A. N.
Amazing place, great food selection and drinks.
G. G.
Terrific place for fresh beer and a wide range of food outlets.
j. e.
Good place for a quick pit stop. But food was disappointing.
S. L.
Classy place with a twist of street food. Amazing for families on Sundays. 4 stars because of Live music, which is a constant thing and could be a little loud sometimes, because of the acoustic of the church.
R. T.
Having a drink and food in a church can only be fascinating.
L. h.
Great food. Several different vendors, so you can all eat different foods if you like. Small roof terrace away from the noise of central London.
A. S. T. G. I. &. I. F.
Amazing Culinary Full With Spiritually Mood and Atmosphere Site In A Wonderful X Holly Church In Central London .
S. G.
Probably the most beautiful food court you will ever visit! Loved the stained glass walls and intricate carving & spacious feeling of the high ceilings. A lot less overwhelming than Mercato metropolitano but way more manageable and attracts a decent crowd.
I. A.
Specious space with beautiful decorations and many options of foods and drink
A bit expensive
A. M.
Amazing products but the attitude is a bit "computer says no".
Two establishments told me: "We can't sell after 22.15".
Despite the whole complex closing at 23.00.
I really couldn't wait to give you money...
That's a bit of a shame...
F. B.
It is located in an old church which makes the location quite impressive however the many food stands somehow cheapen the environment.
Only had drinks which were okay are reasonably priced; not sure why they served all of them in disposable plastic cups, pub glasses would have been better.
Social distancing arrangements made the service very cumbersome and we ended up waiting long time and chasing staff multiple times... I suggest they take example from other places where the service is actually working
W. R.
Really hot inside. Good bar on the roof (where you can cool down) but beers are extremely expensive.
M.
Great italian food & delightful ice cream and jazz music on Sundays inside a Church. Lovely place. These kind of places make London unique
J.
Beautiful place with great variety of food- the Malaysian and Thai are particularly good!
Z. S.
Variety of food, environment is wonderful. Highly recommended.
A. B.
Unique and amazing room! Food is reasonably priced for a main + drink around 15-20£
k. l.
Good selection of food, inside a beautiful building.
S. R.
Love it here for casual drinks and food. The handmade pasta place was great
S. P.
Love the location and the building!!! ❤️❤️ Great choices!
C. W. W.
Hidden just off the busy and bustling high Street the beautiful cathedral houses a selection of food stalls that serves , pizza, pasta, Turkish pizza, bao, seafood, steaks and charcuterie.
While the venue is great and food stalls serve good food and there are also great wine and beer available it does get cramped and there aren't many space to accommodate for a large group.
Worth visiting if you're passing by.
D. A. D.
This place is stunning, the food and desserts are fabulous! And the design details are so inspiring!
T. N.
Beautiful interior. Love how they have converted this church into a food market but still keep its charm. There are lots of places to eat from pasta, noodles and buns. It gets quite busy so finding seating can be tough. Prices are ok for location.
There is a lift for accessibility.
D. B.
Amazing place and usually really easy to order. Covid measures are an absolute pain though. There's limited phone signal inside with it being a big old church and you need to be on Facebook (we're not) to be able to use the guest WiFi. It took us ages to negotiate connecting and downloading the app. Would have saved us 30mins if they just provided a WiFi password. The food, venue and staff are really great though. Three stars just for the embarrassment of taking a friend and them having to buy lunch.
P. K.
Nice place to spend with friends with a lot of options to eat and drink.
D. S.
Brilliant place, amazing ambience and totally Instagramable!
R. C.
This is a hidden gem of a foodhall! Recommend the mushroom Bao bun from upstairs!
C. N.
Busy but very worth it. New place to hang in Mayfair.
M. H.
Plenty of food stalls to choose from and a great set up. There’s even an outdoor area on the roof. Great vibe and feels really spacious.
A. M.
Great place for a chilled evening with great food and wine
J. R.
Great concept and very Lively place. Love the building architecture
M.
Such a good spot to visit either for a date or your mates
Fairly good prices but not much seating available upstairs
A. M.
One of the weirdest but at the same time coolest place you can have a meal in London. After the big success in the one in Elephant and Castle, Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair will surprise you with a real church hosting dozens of tables and different food choices from pizza to pasta, from fish to meat, from cheese to great wine from the canteen located underground. And you can even buy a bottle from the little supermarket at the entrance if you don’t fancy a long queue to order a glass!

Lovely dining hall with various cuisines, bar and rooftop terrace (only open in spring/summer). Food is reasonably priced and they have kept the majority of the original church as was allowing those of us stopping by to gawk at the splendour.
M. W.
A really interesting place with lots of choices for food and drink.

What a great chic place. Everything we ate was delicious 🇬🇧👌🏼

Great variety of food and drink, which we enjoyed on the rooftop terrace.

Great space, excellent food selection. Definitely worth a visit! The location, having formerly hosted a church, is beautiful, with a lively yet easy-going atmosphere. The food offering is very tasty and diverse, we particularly enjoyed the bao and dumpling place. Their buns are perfectly soft, and their meat (especially the braised pork belly, which I couldn't get enough of) was simply mouthwatering. 10/10. The gyozas were also perfectly crisp and delightful, with the potato & grilled cheese ones standing out. Really unique take on dumplings! I'd also recommend the Turkish stall, they offer some delicious flatbreads and their Instanbuli pide was for sure a highlight, along with the refreshing cocktails we had at the bar on the first floor. Overall it was a great experience, both food-wise and in terms of ambience. As far as I could tell most food stalls use fresh, organically sourced produce and sustainable materials, so extra kudos for that. Prices are adjusted to Mayfair standards, and the seating area is somewhat limited so it's perhaps wiser to visit during non-peak hours. Will certainly be back for those baos, and to visit the rest of the food stands. I highly recommend.

Really cool place. Quite overpriced but definitely good place to visit

Place is nice. The food I had was not bad but nothing that amazed me. I'll give it another go for lunch time trying a different cuisine, but the food offer is not so impressive.

Looks beautiful as you will see, good variety of food and drink. Great location, easily accessible. Big shout out to the pizzeria proper Neopolitan style pizzas. Great produce in the shop as well really really good. Very clean(maybe cz it was not busy on my visit). Limited seats. Average prices. Only reason gave a 3 and not a 4 was service, not in terms of speed or organisation, but rather on how welcoming, caring, smiling the staff weren't. But would still highly recommend for you to go there hopefully that wouldn't be the case by the time you visit and also before they start getting fully booked every single day of the week.
Lastly big round of applause 👏👏 to the people who thought about this concept and brought it to us so beautifully👏👍.

Disappointed with my first visit here. The app wasn't working, even though you're supposedly encouraged to use it. The pizza I had was decent enough, but the German Kraft bar doesn't even serve a full pint for some reason (400ml being the largest serving)?
M. B.
What a nice place at a great location.
P. E.
Really good, should of got there earlier yesterday to really be able to enjoy the place.
S. N.
Great variety of food and drink, which we enjoyed on the rooftop terrace.

Amazing food choices and scenery located in an old church. Nice for a date night out or with friends for a catch up.

Amazing place, lovely ice-cream 😁🤩

Beautiful building, prices are typically London highs but nice vibe and feeling considering it is central London.

Amazing Culinary Full With Spiritually Mood and Atmosphere Site In A Wonderful X Holly Church In Central London .

Magical hideaway in the heart of Mayfair. Great variety of drinks and foods to select from
S. L.
Classy place with a twist of street food. Amazing for families on Sundays. 4 stars because of Live music, which is a constant thing and could be a little loud sometimes, because of the acoustic of the church.
A. S.
Lovely atmosphere Paul and staff could not do enough.. great food..Jazz on Sundays ..
M. A.
Lovely spot for a quick lunch. Food needs5to improve in order to be gourmet standard. They have the super pizza oven but the base of the pizza was under done. My tortellini with Ragu was some what bland. Some easy fixes to sort out.

If you’re used to the original Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle, you might be disappointed as there is a fair bit less choice here.
It is still a great destination with lots of great food stalls, craft beers and a beautiful location.
c.
Awesome location and venue. A food hall with plenty of food choices, with beer delivered to your table via Hopt app.
S. S.
Nice venue with lost of choices. Popular and difficult to find seating.
J. P. G.
Love the ambiance and food choices in this renovated church!

Beautiful building, prices are typically London highs but nice vibe and feeling considering it is central London.

Between sacred and profane. The new Mercato Metropolitano gives a magic touch to the place, the restored St Mark’s ex-church. The two storeys main hall deserves a visit just itself, but drinks and food are good too. It's a busy place to spend the night with friends so prepare yourself to queue for a while.
S. L.
Lovely converted building with loads to eat and drink. The roof terrace is where you need to be in this summer heat. This is located near to oxford street but you wouldn’t think you were nearby as this venue makes you feel like you’re somewhere else!

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand it is one of those interesting "distributed" restaurants with multiple stalls and various types of food.
The food is mostly interesting and we had a few things that were quite tasty (particularly the meat cooked by the Tuscan grill). On the other hand, the price we paid to feel satisfied on what is essentially a self-service canteen was way too high, and not all of the dishes were equally well thought out (e.g. our ceviche was really hastily put together).
Also, I am a big fan of Mercato Metropolitano with its warm, market-like environment, but the refurbishment of this old church feels a lot colder in respect. I'm also not sure that this kind of usage is the best for such a beautiful space: a museum would have probably been a better destination (although obviously a commercial endeavour needs to be viable).
The environment, the location and the offering seem to also attract a kind of poshier customer base that also contribute to the place feeling a lot less welcoming than its more popular antecedent.

Wonderful venue and great German beer & food too.

Second time I am here. Impressive location and vibrant atmosphere. Loved it ;)
J. V.
It's a beautiful space and building but upon closer inspection it's a bit dirty and there's not enough good choice for vegans and vegetarians..... Amazing building and cool atmosphere though.
D. P.
Great experience, very good food!
B. K.
Probably the food hall in London with the most stunning decor inside!
Located inside a former church, it has high ceilings, all the preserved features, wooden floors. Makes a change from the typical industrial / warehouse concrete food markets in London.
Gripes are that its smaller than most food markets, so seating is limited. Both times I've been, I've struggled to find a table. There are also less vendors, and they're more high end than usual, so bear that in mind. I had steak one time and gelato another visit, and both were good.
D. H.
Lovely little hidden gem! Lots of choice for lunch!
S. S.
Beautiful place and great good offer, deff a must if you are around or fancy dinner and drinks in a former cathedral :)
C. B.
Interesting but best eat somewhere else.
P. D.
Beautiful space great German beer
j. B.
So happy this has opened in Mayfair. Very complementary to more expensive places in the area. Ambiance is great in the evening or weekend, loads of choices of food, and all delicious. Do not miss the lower-ground floor for wine bar and delicatessen.
j. l.
Amazing food choices and scenery located in an old church. Nice for a date night out or with friends for a catch up.
E. T.
Reusing a church as a market is a great idea and well exploited architecturally. However, if you are used to Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant and Castle, food and product choice is much more limited. Appropriate to the luxurious Mayfair, but I very much prefer the atmosphere in the original MM!
N. P.
Great little sister to the Elephant and Castle establishment
S. D.
Best gelato in town! Lots of other options for food and drink. Hidden gem in the middle of Mayfair
J. D.
Place looked interesting but was way too hot and humid even for London heatwave standards, the heat on the top floor made it almost impossible to breathe. Might be back to try the bao place at some point, shame such a venue has no ventilation though!
J. M.
Such a great experience. Nice food, nice place.
F. W.
Surprising space, fun. Worth a quick lunch
R. O.
Beautiful, historic building. Great meeting place & good quality food.
S. l.
A hidden gem, lovely converted church, selection of quality food and drink, welcoming staff
C. v. C.
A church put to a most interesting new use. Quality food and a good diversity of it. The bag check outside is less for bombs and weapons, it is more to prevent you from bringing in food and drink.
M. S.
Interesting place for food out. You can choose food from any of the restaurants, order it, and collect it when your buzzer buzzes. Could become awkward when trying to eat with a group but we just shared different foods which was great.
Z. B.
Lovely place, absolutely loved the terrace, staff so nice we could stay there forever!
M.
Great place to stumble across on a wet Sunday afternoon. Live Jazz, Kraft German beer, wine, cocktails and great food (homemade pasta, gelato, lebanese street food, pizza).
J. H. s.
Malaysian street food: nasi lemak is the stuff Im going to come back here for!
J. T.
The venue ie so stunning. The concept is great and there are a few food options. Downside was that the coffee was terrible, very bitter.
L. M.
Vibey, awesome cocktails
A. M.
Very nice experience to have a dinner in a converted church! Food selection was good.

Amazing place with amazing food
Not cheap but very well worth

A new market and street food hall from the team behind Mercato Metropolitano in SE1. This one is absolutely stuffing, placed inside a ornate old church, with lots of the original features retained, including stained glass windows and arches
When you enter you walk through a food market, including fresh produce and hard to find gourmet brands of packaged foods.
The 'church' space has kitchens on the ground floor, and on a raised gallery above. Lots of choice including seafood, pasta, pizza, baos and dumplings.
Don't miss the basement - the crypt has been filled with a wine bar, a bar selling cheese & charcuterie, and a craft beer bar.
One slight negative is that the age of the building means that the staircases are pretty narrow, and hard to pass on.
But this is a small thing - it's a great new market (& it's found an audience already!)
M. B.
High quality, amazing taste and great cocktails. All in this beauty. I kept seeing people enjoying their drinks and taking pictures of the architecture. As I did too.
F. K.
An absolutely brilliant conversion of a church into a community hub with the best food in the area. The German Kraft beer is simply heavenly and the Spiced Pumpkin Negroni from Jim and Tonic is the single best Negroni. Ever.
S. A.
Great place serving food and drink from all over the world, you can get bao buns, sushi, kebabs, steak, great pasta and fantastic pizza. The space is split across four floors. In the basement there's is a wine bar and a micro brewery. On the ground floor you'll find a grocery shop at the entrance, at the back near the altar two bars and along the hall traders selling pasta, gelato, sushi, coffee and drinks. In the gallery (first floor)there are more restaurants selling bao dumplings, seafood, Turkish cusine and steak. Highly recommended!!!
s. m.
Splendid vibe. Spectacular authentic pizza
V. H.
Good selection of hot food. Far too claustrophobic, hot and cramped upstairs arguably poor working conditions for the staff.
k. o.
Good place to have a break in the middle of the city center! Praying for good food and beer!
Y. L.
Super expensive but food and drinks were surprisingly good (nothing outstanding though). It was also a really cool space set within a church.
M.
Gorgeous curly haired boy behind the bar 6/5
J. D.
Extremely beautiful venue with good food, only down side was the heat! The doors were open but it was still uncomfortably hot to the point we had to leave
J. C.
What a great discovery! Definitely coming back tomorrow!
J. O. C.
An awe-inspiring food market in the heart of Mayfair. I'm a big fan of elephant and castle's Mercato Metropolitano, original inspiraron for this one. In this occasion, rather than going bigger, Mercato Mayfair has chosen a smaller but much prettier venue, in what used to be a church. It can't compete in variety, but it makes up well for it with location, decoration and still a great variety of offer. Don't stay on the ground floor only, make sure you explore the upper and lower ground floors!

Couldnt believe this place lots of foody venues

Stunning place. Loved the Steamy & Co shop on the first floor. Amazing bao buns and dumplings. Friendly staff and flavours with a twist!
R. C.
Beautiful space and concept! A former church turned sustainable food & drink market. Great vibe for solo dining / couples / groups ❤️
L. S.
Amazing place, lovely ice-cream 😁🤩
M. M.
Very interesting and inspired setting. However the prices are way too high even for London. Given it is self service i wouldnt have expected it to be pricier than restaurants but it is.
H. c.
Really unique and different. Holy Carrot upstairs was nice and fancy with the dry ceiling flowers and comfy clean chairs.
L. P.
Great variety of cuisines in a unique environment 👍
C. M.
I love that finally I found a place where I can drink and pray at the same time!!
N. W.
Absolutely charming place with great pizzas. The setting is like a church, with a bar & restaurants inside. Great for a social setting with many people.
N. H.
Spicy chill beef with ramen noodles
E. M.
Great place to spend some time with friends!
L. S.
Many different options os food, drinks. Downstairs there's wine, enoteca, brewery and upstairs a terrace, great option at one of favorite neighbourhoods.
A.
Get the pasta. This place is beautiful.
D. L.
Very unique location, great selection of food outlets unfortunately let down by a lack of organization. Ordering food from three different counters and having two of them loose or somehow forget your order is not so great.
R. M.
Good food and great Italian braserie. Worth a visit.
E. S.
Beautiful space with a wide variety of high end food and local market variety
C. C.
Really cool to be able to get Italian pasta, nap sandwiches, and pad thai all within an old church. And the gelato is really nice, too.
T. T.
Amazing food and drink options, all bundled up in the most beautiful setting! A must for Italian food lovers.
J. S.
Great setting and amazing food but the drinks choices are really limited if you don't like gin
G. E.
This food market in Mayfair is a great spot for lunch or early dinner - no better than Steamy and Co who have mastered the dumplings and Bao Buns. simply delicious.. pick up a craft beer after ..
J. O.
Cheap and really good pasta, and super original atmosphere inside the church
P. E.
Really good, should of got there earlier yesterday to really be able to enjoy the place.

Such a beautiful atmosphere and building with a decent variety of options!

Food market and bars situated in a jaw-dropping former church, just minutes from Oxford Street. On-site brewery by German Kraft supplies decent beers.

THE surprise of London. Visit is a must!! A church which became a food hall and it is amazing
D. M.
Really nice burger at the Italian steakhouse
A. M.
A true culinary experience, would always try to go earlier in an evening or day as it can get extremely busy.
K. T.
Nice place, usually you find a table but olnit on Saturday nights

Lovely building - former church now restored and serving as food mecca. I didn't try any food.

The location is surreal. Lovely staff and amazing food. A bit pricey but it’s mayfair so...

Really nice hang out spot in central London with plenty of options for food and drink!
