Reviews of Netil Market
K. N. C.
Small market with excellent Falafel and beautiful jewellery
E. S. P.
Great experience for me at Netil Market! I visited on a Sunday morning and found lots of lovely products, including Sicilian cannoli 🙌🏻🇮🇹 and Sichuan chilly oil. The variety of offered products is great - make sure to bring some tote bags with you…and of course a nice camera! 📸 I’ll be back!
C. S.
Cute little market with a few food stalls and craft stores by local artists. I think it’s worth to check it out if you’re heading to broadway market, otherwise it’s not exactly worth the trip down just for it because it’s really small. There are nice things there but it’s not exactly the most unique, interesting, in my subjective experience, and it’s quite a (slightly ridiculous) premium price on these goods when compared to locally handmade goods and crafts in other markets.
M. G.
Super cozy with a nice mix of stuff to see, try, eat, smell and buy 😍 Very happy friendly people, both visitors and vendors which have a great atmosphere 👌 little hidden gem!
Also, if you love Club Mate -which is almost impossible to find outside Germany- the Italian place has them!!
B. B.
My favorite market in London! Cool crowd, weekends has live DJ music, definitely recommend for a Saturday stroll
S. A.
Fabulous pasta place!
Also, make sure you eat at the pitta place. The freshest and softest pitta pockets cooked in front of you. Really tasty falafel.
D.
An amazing mix of indie food and retail businesses. Especially love the plant guy who has a mini plant jungle and the seafood place was also incredible. Cute market just a stones throw from.broadway market. A must see if you're in east london!
S. H.
Worth checking out if you are in the area enjoying the markets and boutiques around London Fields.
Around 20 stalls of well-crafted products, food & beverages and more - highlights included the outdoor equipment store with hammocks and the Discarded Spirits pop-up serving environmentally-friendly/ethical ingredient cocktails.
P. C.
Lovely little community market with a wide variety of food and drink options, and benches to sit at. Deathbypizza is a personal favourite, and they have a bar above their location!
C. G.
Cute little Market with alot of food options and a little vintage store. Next door is Forest Road Brewery which is great.
Massive queue for Pockets which sells falafel which looked absolutely amazing, definitely recommend.
Paradox coffee is very good, recommend them too.
A small market with some stuff, don't dedicate a day to visit.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews
N. B.
Five stars solely for the lunch I had here the other day, courtesy of Pollo Feliz. Menu features grilled chicken, handmade tortillas, quesadillas that I've been craving every day since I tasted them + more! Definitely recommended if you're looking for delicious authentic Mexican street food. 🌮💕
A.
The market itself isvery small mostly selling food. Very popular for the falafel pockets which had a long queue but tasted awesome. Best falafel pocket ive had esp since some can be a bit dry.
T. H.
Always got a great selection of food stalls, from Bao buns to Bagels and more. There's a good amount of al fresco seating or you can bring food to the park if you clear up your rubbish afterwards.
f. s.
Sweet spot not many stalls. Perfect area for a break from est
B. R.
The Bao are great and there's a couple of other OK food stalls. Unfortunately, as of early 2021 I'd avoid the queues for this place on a Saturday or Sunday as, right now, it's not that great overall.
Once things are back up and running I really hope that the glasses frame shop and the Outdoor People are still going strong there.
V. H.
Super cute little market place tucked out of the way. Food was amazing and fairly well priced.
K. R.
Great food options and falafel looks amazing but get there early, long queue but worth it. Bagels go quickly too.
J. P.
Nice and small market next to London Fields. Went quite late and still some food stalls open! Vegan options for some of them.
J. O.
#dappa Icecream had an amazing event here. Great food 😋😋
C. C.
It's a small market near by Broadway market which offers street food(even Taiwanese BAO), indie shops. Might have to pay attention to the sign otherwise you may neglect the entrance.
C. C.
The best vegan cheeses ever tasted !
Creamy, savory and at a very good price ! The Spanish would say : Bueno, bonito, barato !
F. T.
very cool little market with hip food, stores and people
c. p.
Good place to go. Lots of character and a wide range of food to choose from. You have to go down there on a Saturday or a Sunday lunch time, super buzzy atmosphere.
E. Y.
Nice market lots to buy and eat 😋
M. H.
Great atmosphere and good selection of both food, drink and craft items. Well worth a visit. Boa buns were amazing, sooo tasty.
S. A.
Lovely, would love for it to be bigger with more stalls!
M. P.
Super outdoor market, with v good street food, tapbeers, craft / vintage shops and sitting area. V nice atmosphere
M. S.
Such a great market, tucked away just by Broadway market. Definitely worth stopping in. Full of great vendors from food to home to clothes. Really good spot for picking up gifts. Recommend following them on Instagram so you can see who is trading, when. Sometimes they have special events on.
I. P.
One of my favorite markets in London - compact but always interesting. There's a rotating cast of semi-permanent food stalls and vendors centered around a small central yard, and you can get everything from glasses to succulents in cement pots to barbecue. Not exactly a place for essentials, but it's a great stop on a Saturday morning wander and usually a little calmer than nearby Broadway Market.
J. K.
The market is really cute. We can find some great article there
J. R.
Nice little niche market. Fantastic tanker/jetter crew works there occasionally 🤣
K. C.
lovely market in a great location. the falafel stand "pockets" is the best falafel ive ever had!!!!! would also recommend the pitta chips wow
D. K.
Gotta try the baos! Wish there was a bit more seating though.
B. W.
They have a really lovely vintage stall however there food options are not so great as it more alcohol being sold. Each to their own.
D. F.
Lots of tasty food and cool setting. Hackney at its best
M. M.
Loved this place. Bought some quirky things and everyone seemed happy and friendly.
V. L.
Quirky little food market in East London. We didn't eat but had a good time browsing the huge selection of delicious looking cuisine. We will definitely be back.
The only down side is that it was a little cramped and road works made manuaeuvering out of the market a little difficult.
S. H.
Netil Market is a bit of a curiosity more than anything else. Tucked out of the way in Westgate Street it's more or less a courtyard surrounded by a series of shacks and containers that make up the permanent traders from food to eyecare and fashion, it even has possibly the smallest spa ever, central are the craft stalls with bespoke ceramics, jewellery and art. The market is a favoured meeting place for the local hip Hackeynites to convene drifting in after their tour of nearby Broadway market to make the most of the food and bars. If you're a avid craftware enthusiast then this tiny market might be for you, if on the other hand you like your markets big and bustling stick to Broadway.
H.
Good food stalls and some interesting shops. The bagels are really good! The vintage lamp stall has some amazing products!
J. G.
An eclectic range of shops and food stalls. Feels like an extension of Broadway Market but open much more often.
v. b.
Hidden gem next to Hackney fields. Do visit the vegan cheese stall. Best vegan mozarella!
F.
Netil Market it is the most little wonderful market that I have ever seen. A few stands with tasty food.
M. M.
Lovely people running their small dream businesses. From eclectic choice of food to professional optician and jeweller with many aspiring things in between. It is a little hidden, but make sure you dont miss it when heading to Broadway market or anywhere around London Fields.
S. C.
Small and long queues on the weekend, better give Broadway Market a try for a shorter wait and more food options.
B. L.
Great little stop off while doing the weekend tour of Hackney's coffee shops, brunch venues and food/goods stalls.
Plenty of shops and stalls ranging from jewellery, furniture out the front, food and a vintage spectacle shop (as featured on George Clarke's Amazing spaces).
Word of warning for parents though, this 'market in a yard' gets very busy at times. So pushing your pram laden with artisan cheese and sourdough bread can get a little frustrating as you try a make your way through the hung over hipsters munching on burgers and other headache alleviating greasy treats...
J. L.
Love this little space that continues to evolve and add, especially a second level for having a pint with a view. If you're brewer, check out Plato brewing supplies for all of your needs or to get a fresh pint of what's on tap. Pair that with a pizza from next door and you won't be sad.
F. S.
Lovely little market with a few food stands and little shops next to London fields.
A. M.
Really good bites and wine 🍷 😋
O. J.
Great vibe on weekends with a nice selection of vegan food options including Club Mexicana, Death by Pizza, and the best plant-based soft serve in the universe by DÁPPA 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
J. S.
What do you say, the street is great. Some awesome food, some great restaurants and food stalls. Really nice Street it’s very narrow so crowded a lotta the time but nice place and definitely recommended.
E.
Small market but lovely shops
n. t.
Very good burgers

I love this little place @netilmarket, they're starting to know me by name. A collection of cracking stalls from milkshakes to jewellery, fashion to coffee, fry-ups to a cycle pit stop, some are only there Saturday, but a few are there Thursday - Sunday. My absolute favourite is The Cooking Cooks; started by three friends with a love for Italian food. They make and cook pasta in their little shack and it is *so* good, I can't even tell you...last weekend I met a couple from America who were trying their pasta for the first time and raving about it. It is also super close to Broadway Market so you can waddle there after eating (too much).
Look out for all of these guys...
@cookingcooks ~ pasta
@terrone ~ coffee
@OFMLondon ~ hangover cure fry-ups
@CYCLEPITSTOPe8 ~ they'll fix your bike whilst serving you jerk chicken (see my photo!)
@StreetShakes ~ milkshakes
J. T.
Amazing selection of food stalls and shops - try the ravioli from Stuffed - you won't be disappointed!
a. l.

J. M.
I used to have the Funky Chunky Sock Stall On Netil Market. It’s a great place to be. Just a shame I had to move away. Take your friends down. 😁😁
S. W.
One of the best rooftop bars in London, best to get there early on a sunny day as capacity is about 400
F. M.
Love Lemlem's Kitchen... especially their Awaze Wings are finger licking good! Highly Recommend them. Very nice and friendly couple.
D. M. C.
Great mix of independent stores + food and drinks, awesome DJ on the Sunday that we visited
J. W.
Great little market with food, bikeshop, beer, vinyl, haircuts, etc. 100% try Howard's Meat Co. for incredible Texas style BBQ!
h. v.
An amazing little market hidden away in East London with a whole cornucopia of nic nacs. Loads of amazing food options and a great vinyl collection tucked away towards the back
G. M.
Netil Market is a small, laid-back, market near London Fields and of course it oozes that cool Hackney vibe! The main trading hours are Saturday between 10am and 5pm, but some traders are also open during the week and on Sundays.
It's easy to associate Netil Market with Lucky Chip burgers, as for a long time they were the only reason to visit the place. They still are a very good reason, to me they are one of the best burgers in London.
Netil has more to offer in terms of food: Cooking Cooks, OFM (Official Fry-up Material), Breddo's Taco Shack. There are also a few accessories stalls and a bicycle repair shack.
My main reason to visit Netil Market is Terrone Coffee Co. the only Third Wave, specialty coffee, Italian owned coffee roaster and shop in London. Don't leave without trying their "bianco piatto", a Flat White made with Terrone's Ciclista coffee blend.
M. M.
Lovely food market with on of the best places for falafel (Pockets)

(Translated) London's shabby Saturday market is full of creative stars. This place hidden in the heart of London, mixed with shacks, vans and transport boxes, has a crumbling yet intriguing charm.
Every Saturday, the residents here are attracted by the constantly changing street vendors, many of whom use the place as a trial ground for brand creation. The Hamburg brand Lucky Chip, which was originally sold on a truck in the Netil market, now has many branches, and originally in one corner of the market was a brand that specializes in Taiwan steamed buns, run by three young people in their 20s. London has now opened an exclusive restaurant with more than 30 seats in Soho. So who will be the next?
