Reviews of Queen's Market
M. M. A.
Awesome for Meat and chicken (halal)😍!!
If you ask me why because of it's reasonable price and quality of meat . Compare to others halal meat shops and groceries price is competitively cheaper here .
7/10.
However, this place is little bit dirty which is unhingnic I think and you will also get bed smell as well .
Apart from this everything is absolutely fine...
M. M. H.
Big space full of various shops, especially full of indian sub-continental food items. 3 big butcher shops side by side with lots of meat options with accessable competitive price ranges.
R. L.
Could be more hygienic
People operating in outside clothes cutting and supplying food
Where has the white protection and hats gone. The inspecters need to watch some of the veg being unloaded
On small vans
Sorry not for me
A. S.
A variety of goods with outstanding prices all under one roof.
Parking could be a little cheaper but very nice experience nonetheless
A. l.
A covered market selling mostly fruit, vegetables and meat at reasonable prices but it is not open every day of the week ( check which days). It is next to Upton Park tube station and a bus stop for 4 bus routes is at the very front of the market. Other bus routes are about a 7 minute walk away from the market. So it is pretty convenient.

How can you love in Newham without Queens Market? You can buy fruit, vegetables, toiletries, groceries from this market cheaper then local shops or Supermarkets. The only problem is the Maintenance is done by Newham Council. One of the worst council in UK or maybe Europe. Market is dirty, sometimes it smells, its dark and corrupt mayor is probably looking for a reason to sell it to some big builder to build a massive over priced horrible looking Apartment complex. They have tried it in the past. They will try again. But you must do you greens and fruits shopping from this market. It really saves a small fortune and if you live in Newham means you are not rich anyway like me so you need to save and get put of this area as soon as you can.

OK hold up hear me out...I know I've given this place a 5 start rating however its because I grew up in the 80s and this place was the most amazing place back then and now I go walk through the place and it brings back memories and days when things weren't so complicated.....

Its a nice basic market. It has everything you need for reasonable prices. From meat to market stalls and shops, vegetables and fruits. Hair and skin shops. Come and see for yourself. The Peckham market of East London.
S. S.
Has everything that you expect from a market and much more. Veggies, Fruits, Chicken, Fish, Beef, household items and electronics, rugs, curtains and clothes, plus hosts cultural events as well. Gives off a warm familiar Indian subcontinent feel, you have the scope to bargai
C. O.
I love shopping in this...i market...fabrics and my African foods here are just so awesome

Queens Market is One of the cheapest place for Fruit and Veggies to buy. The place has a Bowl system where every bowl is a pound each and contains fresh fruits or Veggie.
The place also has a loose Dry fruit stalls, selling dry fruit in grams and killos.
The market has also shops arround it selling fresh meats, chickens and fish.
The market also offers a small portion for cloths and other accessories for man and women.
G. J.
Wonderful market where you can get fresh fruit, veg, fish & meat. Everything you can get in Asia, Africa & the Caribbean, you can find here, all with an East London 'twist!'
M. B.
If you need food, this is the place to go. Fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and fabric .Great bargains and lots of atmosphere. I go on Thursdays not sure about other days.
I. M.
Went to butchers there J pike
Was good
The rest of the market is poor
Needs a total revamp
The shops look old and tatty
Newham council must be aware of the giant Rats
The debris all around the market area
The building on top called William white court looks good
Otherwise lower end of the markets in London
No genre no style no trendy look about it
Dull and boring
S. H. (.
Even though I don't live locally anymore, I still come here mostly for the fabric and haberdashery stalls and I like to catch up with the traders some of which I've known my whole life. My mum even had a stall here many years ago.
It's a shame the council won't renovate the site, I know they have tried to for many years and it always involved reducing the size of the market, which traders, local residents have opposed.
W. C.
Very nice place to find groceries and fruite on reasonable prices and cloth market + lots of parking on roof

Popular market for vegetables, meats and other open street stalls. I found this place bit dirty. Though council clean everyday but somehow does not look good enough. Also, night walk is very dangerous.
E. S. V.
Best place to buy Asian Vegetables and Meat and Indian Cloths
l. p.
Selling varieties of fruit and veg, near by bus stops and stations, very convenient to walk around to all the stores and to the high streets. Queens Market Used to be the highlight of Upton Park with various nationality traders with vast collection to choose from but, now is not very diverse anymore. But still a good place to get cheap prices.
T. A.
It's a full market, everything you need is under one roof, friendly people & clean surroundings. Only went to plait my hair but was also able to do my shopping 🛍 at the same time.
H. E.

It's quiet at the moment due to Covid19. But some people will prefer this. Still good for getting your fruit and vegetables and other food items and a very reasonable price. Good variety
R. Y.
This is a really good place for affordable and fresh vegetables and fruits. However, this place is very dirty and smelly. One tip for everyone please check all the stalls before buying as all stalls have different prices. To Newham council please invest some money in maintaining and keeping this place clean and tidy.
E. P.
Haven't been there for years...need some lighting was very dark.
A. J.
I expected more than what I saw. There are alot of products there with cheap price but it also affect thw quality of food. The clothes market is perfectly good but I would suggest to be careful when buying food.

Nice bustling area that has a lot more potential.... Could do with more stalls selling clothes/ toys etc.
Fruits/ veg, fish and meat are plenty
Also the stairs going up to the parking is not the most hygienic sites one could see.
Y. T. A.

Nice grocery market. A good place for Asian Muslim community for Halal meat 🍖 and chickens. Fresh vegetables and fruits are in very convenient price.
Y. M.
It's a fruit and veg market so don't expect polite customer service. Expect rubbish and fruit around the floor. Its worth it for the bargain prices
S. B. (.
Local undercover traditional English street market located right next to Upton Park Underground Station and served by various TFL bus routes. (58, 238, 300, 376)
Vibrant lively boasting variety of Shops, stalls/Traders selling fruits, vegetables, clothing, fabrics, Handbags, Shoes, Roasted nuts, Halal meat, fish, cosmetics, general groceries hair and beauty saloons etc,

Looking for the best Asian vegetable and food products, Queen's Market in Upton Park East London is the place to go
v. r.
Can get some veggies and fruits. I had got good iron vessel from one of the shop here at the end. It's really good. Also my hubby bought a laser lighter electric charge one it's good to buy from that sweet lady...
E. A.
Very good prices, multi cultural, just it doesn't give you the impression to be a cleaned place. Overall it's a great market
J. O.
Queen's Market has most things you need. There's not much you can't find. I came to purchase some make-up and I wasn't disappointed (check out this stall for genuine well-known make-up brands). Beautiful fashions, haberdashery, cooked food, lingerie etc. Those working on the stalls all had their face masks on. I think the market could be kept cleaner than it is and it could look more attractive, but on the whole, it continues to be a place you can be sure to find what you want at affordable prices.
D. K.
Friendly atmosphere and as there are so many vendors you don't wait to long. Lots of meat: fresh and frozen. Good buy.
A. M.
A place to get all your fruits, veg and meat, Definalty a place to support smaller stores
M. S.

M. B.
Queen Market is not what it use to be. There are fewer stalls than before. Hard to find parking here best to walk it if you live close by.
Q. B.
Variety of things to buy for good prices!
s. m.
Ok a little bit of everything mid level merchandise.
N. M.
Best market for fresh fruits ,vegetables from different countries .fresh fish from fish mongers and also bucheries are available. I like queen's market because all your basics shopping you will get from one area.
b. s.
Nice impression for first visit, was advised by a local to revisit on a Sunday
S. A.
Value for money. Will find everything here.
Fruit, veg, meat, fabric are some of the things you will find here. I have been coming here since 1980's.
It's close to Upton Park station and bus stops are nearby too.
v. n.
Low price good fruits love this place
S. U.
Its a place you can do all your shopping
C. E. G. T.
Well i haven't been shopping since locked down and after locked down was lifted i was reluctant to go back there but today i decided brave enough to go and do my usual shopping, shop was busy but not like before covi. Not too crowded. Shoppers not safe distances.
f. l.
Love the fresh meat and vegetables
G. K.
Very antiquated, enjoyed 😉 the shopping 🛍 experience
A. A.
So dirty, so packed at the weekends and awful parking facilities, BUT it's fantastic for getting all the ingredients for cooking Nigerian food. Lots of choices and very cheap fresh vegetables from those stalls that sell bowls of veg for just £1 per bowl. Clothes, household goods, as well as hair and skincare products for black people are also sold there, however I only go for the cooking ingredients.
Well worth the trek, take your sanitiser!
C. K.
My local market lobe coming to get cultural foods and drinks and purchase ethnic beauty hair body products and makeup. This market is very versatile sells a lot of Asian Africa and Caribbean products, from foods clothes pots as well as saloons and food trucks. Like to go there when I have a good day.
D. H.
It feels like life has gone back to normal. Looking at those fresh vegetables and fruits made me happy and teach me that life is beautiful, simple but we have to change the way we look. It is not those fancy stuff we get in the supermarket but these are really nice basic raw things available in this market.
R. S.
Easy to access via public transport. Parking can be an issue at times when driving to the location
Y. Y. “.
It's a place like no other you will find good offers and bargains. However it's not very child environment for little ones. On the weekend barely any carpark space.
You find really nice fruit and vegetables with deals. The other shops around too and there are fish mongers and stalls too.
However the cleaningness around the place is a different story, trust me. I saw a rat size of a cat.
O. K.
Nigerian foodstuffs readily available.
F. S.
you can buy quality vegetables and fruits with cheap prices.
G.
Its dark and dingy - needs a good clean up. The stalls are poorly lighted and very smelly. Foodwise - you can get fresh products but there are too many stalls that sell the same things. Very good for sewing essentials and have a variety of stalls that sells fabric. It can be a nice place to shop for cheap items but it is off putting due to the market conditions.
J. J.
This market is a mix of the usual fruit and veg, but then you've got the Caribbean and Asian shops for all the ingredients you cannot find in a supermarket. Well worth a visit during the week (only open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).
E. A.
right guys dont be amazed with a lot of fruits available on cheaper rates, remember you get what you pay for. i am very well aware the quality of fruit is definitely not good. anyways the market is definitely not for me but yeah so many people do shopping there as they find things on cheaper rates.
M. M.
You will find everything in this market from fruit and veg to furniture etc. Fresh food always and really friendly people. Will reccomend but would also mention that whoever visits Queens market has to be aware to keep your personal belonging with you at all times. Keep your bags secure and keep your phones and wallets inside your your jackets. Pickpockets are very professionals in this area and you will not know that you have lost anything before you go home and check. Overall the market and the atmosphere is really enjoyable.
S.
Good choice of all fruit and vegetables at very reasonable prices. Even cheaper if buying in bulk.
R. K.
Good range of shops, some good value meat and fish, and good place to go for Caribbean produce at a reasonable price.
C. B.
The Halal Meat Market, Lobo Fisheries, Queens hair shop and two hair Salons are my favs here.
M. S.
Its good to see hand sanitisers stationed by the stairs. Shame not many people used it, shops and stalls are doing there best to work around social distancing and maintain a sense of normality.
s. a.
1 bowl 2 pound After 4 o clock so wait until 4 and buy nice fruits as a cheap price
A. P.
A true experience of a multi-cultural London. An ideal family shopping zone. Majority of household and grocery items are available at the best possible prices. A seriously nice place to shop even with low budgets. Highly recommended!
E.
You can get there a lot of good
thinks
A. j.
Market with pure quality poultry. Meat, chicken fish name it including vegitabls all fresh with reasonable prices. Qualities.
A. C.
Colourful! Fresh! Multi ethnic! You get all vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and much more under one roof. Affordable prices motivates people to buy more produce for a healthy lifestyle. Reflection of Newham Culture.
c. e.
I knew i could trust good old green street to have fish for Good Friday celebration
J. J.
Just if the Customers could please have Public Toilet facilities, it would be a great blessing fr the Council old facilities taken out and Not replaced . Please Mr. Mayor help Thanks 🥰
k. i.
it so cool evryone should go yhere loads of foods and items you can buy i love this place
G. B.
A lovely place. I would certainly go back. There are some great stalls. I had the most amazing cakes from a gluten free store- don't knock it until you've tried it! There an decent amount of hot food. The only thing is there is not a lot of variety and too much choice of similar things. Lots of cheese stalls, more than one place doing venison burgers, mushroom pate, doughnuts. Would be great to see variation because there's certainly room for it.
A. S.
I love the market. Its run by great people and has a whole lot of stuff you can buy. I especially enjoy the variety of fabrics I can buy there.
N. B.
Really good for afro Caribbean needs
M. B.
Great variety of produce all at a reasonable cost. Can get a bowl of vegetables or fruit for £1. Certain days they have an egg stall. They have a fish stall but I have never visited so cannot say about quality.
m. m.
Best place for fish and meat, and ladies love the hidden hair shops there cause they have everything literally.
T. P. S. B.
Excellent place to buy fabrics and haberdashery
S. B.
You can get a little of everything under this roof. My favourite shop is the afro caribbean shop next to the two meat shops in the centre of the market. You go there once and they always remember your face.
v. r.
We're u get all food items in beat price compare sansburys, lidl, teesco
J. M.
Small market with friendly prices. Not that many items bit almost all you need for a decent breakfast / lunch / dinner.
D. W.
Brilliant place. Excellent for fruit n veg. Full of character and a great place to buy fabrics. Even better now West Ham have moved to the Olympic stadium - cleaned up the clientele.
H. D.
I recommend for fresh veg and fruit to very in the morning. It's a place for variety of loose unstitvhed fabric I.e. curtains. Dress making, table cloth, not curtains. Also other shops I.e. accessories, buttons, laces etc. Furniture, meat, fish etc.
R. S.
We love queen's market. We get fresh vegetables, fruits, clothes, household meny stuff and price is chip 👌 then we love this market 😀
M. N.
Fantastic market with a variety of competitive independent traders. Particularly for:
FRESH MEAT - FISH - CLOTH AND UPHOLSTERY - FRUIT AND VEG - VALUE CLOTHING
Bring change or a phone with reliable signal for the parking upstairs.
Bring cash as the market has no cash machine - nearest one a few minutes down the road.
Y. K.
In need of refurbishment and investment but you can always find what your looking for ✌️.
Good variety of international goods here and in surrounding area 👍🏼
R. G.
This market is good for vegetables which you can find at the back. Materials, massive stall near the front and a lot of hand bags and luggage stalls. And a few clothes dotted around. You have a few Asian material stalls and food outlets that sell fish/meat grocery and one furniture stall inside. Some days it's like a car boot sale and ppl are huddled over their second hand stuff, and there are separate days for market days with the stalls
S. K. M.
Fresh food is available here.
L. A.
Colourful with predominantly food and textiles. There was one general store selling kitchen utensils etc and a furniture shop. Bought a bright orange scarf for one pound!
M. R.
Can get some decent fresh produce. Especially large bags of potatoes and onions. But they have problems with drainage and cleanliness. The market floor is often wet and sticky with squashed up fruit or veg.
L. J.
Typical English (farmers style) market, everything you need you fine there at a great prices, I have been going there 30+ years ago, the enter place can do with a good clean and something that can brighten the place up.
The hole area and the people all look tired.
T. L.
It's a good place to get everything from clothes to fruits ...halal butchers ...plus u got car park that costs 2 pound for 1 hour ..
I usually bring the family here to get my vegetables for a fair price ....
K. O.
Great experience. Fresh fruits and vegetables and various world products from different cultures and backgrounds
i. m.
Its an ok market nothing special but you may find a bargain. Whag i recommend not getting to excited checking prices as hou will find some prices are more then the local grcery shops.
Hand bags are good quality and cheap at £5 and up, fruit by £1 bowlz, rawmaterial if you into sewing your own cloths some of the cheapest you can get.
Costume jewllery is ridiculously priced, wallets you may find some stalls with damn prices but agaim you look around you will find a bargain
A. O.
Needed some Nigerian leaves used for moin-moin, got a very good shop to buy it from and some good meat too on a Sunday evening
a. p.
The place got good things like fruits, veg, Meat and other appliances and also a salon/barbers. They are taking good precautions in this time of covid setting up barriers and implementing social distancing of 2 meters and gaurds counting who goes in and out to minimize crowding but its not necessary to wear a mask although many have taken it as prerogative to wear masks. The car park is paid by an app, make sure you enter the correct loacation code because the location code #88858 is used for a long duration of time minimum 31 days which could get you to pay a substantial amount if you dont ready it thoroughly and there is another location code for staying just a few hours. All the stairway are blocked so you have to exit the parking lot on foot and walk to the entrance either than that things are on the way to normality.
#StaySafeEveryone
S. K.
Great place to shop, everything available at reasonable prices & bus stops plus tube station nearby!
M. N.
Great market a market where you can buy fruits and vegetables from all around the world at a price that will surprise you
E. C.
The most amazing market in London. It is so full of beautiful fresh products at a great price. It's very fast pace and full of beautiful ingredients, spices and everything you could need. Sunday market is slightly different a bit more like a car boot but still good. There's lots of meat places and places to get your hair and eyebrows done. We have moved now but still try to come back to get our meat fish and veg.
M. M.
Typical East End indoor market. Very nice selection of ethnic and foreign shops selling various fruits? vegetables and halal meat. Also a selection of unisex hairdressers and the few markets with a pub. During the week parking is limited to the car park above.
M. R. P.
Great place buy grocery, fresh fish, meat and many useful daily stuffs. There is a paid parking facility on the top of the market but they should allow customers to short stay like half an hour. I visit this market very often and sometimes only for few minutes to buy one or two items. it takes only 10 to 15 minutes to stay in the car park but i had to buy for 1 hour which i do not need really.
M. I.
Good to get everything at one place at one stop, my all time grocery market. 7 days a week I get everything from them. Cheers!
E. n.
The place for all things Afro Caribbean and Asian. One particular halal butchers shop seems to have the monopoly over all the others in terms of patronage. Everybody appears head to this butchers to buy the various cuts of meat such as beef, lamb, 'curry mix' - which is mutton pieces on the bone, chicken, etc. There is also available to buy, parts such as offal, which you will NEVER come across in a mainstream supermarket such as Tesco, Sainsburys, etc. These parts are the internal organs and the entrails of an animal - consisting of the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, tripe (stomach) as well as weird stuff like cow foot and cow hide). These items are all available to buy in this and all the other butcher's shops in Queen's Market and meat stalls. You can also buy the offal of poultry, such as chicken hearts, liver, gizzard; chicken feet and turkey tail, etc in these same butcher's shops.
One can also find a huge array of different fresh vegetables from anywhere in the world.

Really good market, good selection of sellers and fruit and veg at very affordable prices.
D. D.
I absolutely love Green Street Market. The vendors are nice and friendly, the prices are reasonable and it's my one stop shop for everything. My Caribbean food, fresh foods, plus fabric and trimmings galore for my dressmaking business! Highly recommended!
M.
Dirty market very cheap tho .good 4 fruits and vegetables. .to park at the local car park u need to call and enter ur bank details which is a bit silly . They could have just used the card payment option .
j. j.
Variety of Asian products are available.
I. S.
One of my favourite and cheapest markets in London! Great place for some amazing deals and bargains on fresh fruit and veg, fish & meat. Moroccan olives stall is incredible, such an amazing verity of olives at great value! Other products like closing, shoes, bags, textiles, buttons, jewelry etc. are also sold here for less than anywhere else I know.
It's like stepping into a little "India" whenever I come here :)
Love this place!
S. H.
Quality of fresh vegetables, meat, chicken and fishs avialiable here with reasonable price. I Like this market.
N. K.
great place to buy meat, vegetables, fruit of all sorts. Also sells stuff such as haberdashery, scarves, bags, 2nd hand stuff and a whole other selection of various clothes, jewellery and other household and beauty items. Has parking on top of the market which has access steps coming down which is handy.
B. E.
Love this market! Great prices, friendly people and so much to buy. Only issue was that on the day we we went the parking payment machine was not working so we had to pay via phone which took a while.
J. N.
Amazing. I love going there. Have been going there over 20 years now. They have absolutely everything you could think of. Parking is currently £2 for 1 hour with some 30 minute to 2 hour free parking near by. Highly recommended.
S. F.
I love Queen's Market for the things & prices I can get there. I mainly go there for sewing things. I also visit Arista for the pretty things they have. And naturally, I also buy veges & fruit. I'd go there every week if I lived in London.
N. M.
Not the most glamorous of places to visit but good if you want to find afro hair stylist and African/Jamaican food. There are also Asian butchers and fish retailers. There are also fruit and veg stalls and hair shops to buy black hair products. I have given it 3 stars as although prices are reasonable, the market is cold and dingy as is some of the shops. There are plenty of Asian boutiques and food shops
S. K.
Is not good because many Romanian selling fake mobiles and also don't buy anything there all is fake thank you
S.
Good for meat/fish lovers although choice is limited . They do sell cheaper fruit and veg in a 1£ bowl format ( bonnet chillies, bananas, tangerines, oranges, apples, tomatoes). The choice isn't fantastic and location/surroundings a bit gloomy run down kind of...
H. I.
Is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and close Sunday , Monday Wednesday, most things are cheap.
Y. E. A. S. S.
Some where in this market is exactly what you're looking for. Sadly I can never remember which day's it's open!
J. C.
Great Viariety of things you can buy in this shop from food, hair products, wigs and extentions. The staff was very friendly and willing to help
L. B.
If your looking for fresh fruit and veg then you get this and more here under 1 roof. I have spend £20 in 20 mins on my weekly fruit and veg shop pleased
M. W.
A good market for fruits, vegetables, meats & Halal meat and fish.
M. C.
I went there to look for dress fabrics. I felt like I was in fabric heaven. There was so much to choose from and so many accessories at reasonable prices. I will not be ordering online any more as I've been disappointed by the quality. At least I can see and feel before I pay.
s. e.
what an amazing market I was able to get everything I required because the ranges available are so good
Fresh meat, vegetable's, herbs and the best nutty selections available
All well priced and served by amazing people
I.
Good for all the usual things you would get from a market. Mainly fruit and veg and some other little bits and bobs.
A. F.
Very economical & accessible shopping centre !
It is physically enabling all the general diverse public ( mostly Asian & some African in addition to the English / French) house holds for their diverse shopping needs !
It always presents a festive celebrative-environment , with very nearby Tube trains, buses and taxis available for most of the times safely🌹✋☘
M.
Still a dirty place but great food/cosmetics/ toiletries bargains to be had!
K. N.
Good place for fruits& veg some clothes, travel goods
S. C.
Grate place to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables close book cards nice cafes to eat you can always pick up a bargain. And it's good for trains and buses and cab's
C. L.
Good selection of fruit and veg.
M. R.
Great market, plenty of fresh fruit, veg, & other foods available as well as household goods. Lots of East End characters yelling to draw you to their stalls. A bit messy but adds to the overall ambience
S.
Typical East London market, one for the locals. Hearing the very special way they "sing" their promotions gives it a special atmosphere. You will find cheap goods from food to furniture via hairband and make up. this is worth a visit !
M. A.
Marker has everything fresh fruit, groceries, meat fish. A bit of everything for everyone. They should really install a cash machine close by as it's cash only
S. S.
Excellent market with quality fruit and vegetables at low cost price and very good atmosphere and friendly vendors.
K. R.
One of my favourite places in East London. Great selection of fruit and veg. Lots of stalls selling indian and western cloth/fabric at great prices. General household items. Indian clothing. Caribbean fast food. Afro-caribbean hair salons.
h. b.
Cheper food and very systematic and scurty cctv footage
S.
It's more down to what you are used to. It's grimey and smelly, but has lots of basic stuff people with not a lot of money. I grew up here but if you aren't familiar, it can be quite daunting.
A. A.
It was amazing to visit this market
D. “. V.
It is a conventional vegetable, fruit, meat and fish market. Open and wet stalls around. It is slightly crowde from 9 am till 3pm except mondays. With parking spaces on top and along the road. The stair is a bit stiffy and narrow but what is important is to find kinds of fruits and vegetables that aren't available at big store such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury and Morrison.
Most of yhe time its cheaper than the big stores but you just need to select properly.
It is a place where raw food supply comes from a far like Burma, Vietnam and other Asian countries and also from midfle east and Caribbean area.
If you missed food from home you can visit this place but depending on the season of year where some kind vegetables are available.
Here's one of the vegeble I bought there and we call it , "Takway" (native Ilongho dialic of Philippines) a bit slimy but totally not available from big stores.
R. Z.
I love traditional way to do the shopping. Unfortunately I haven found non halal! We are in open minded England, not in Muslim country! This is the biggest minus for this place.
J. S.
One of the oldest markets in east London. Located just outside Upton park tube station. A place where you can find all sorts of fruits vegetables fish meat products and other world foods.
p.
Pretty grim, toilets are permanently occupied by drug users, but the fabric stalls are awesome and the hair shops
K. K.
Good place to buy meat and vegetables , fruit at economical price. It's kind of a open market for vegetables and fruits.
A. C.
It's retail most probably the cheapest market in london with fresh fruit & vegetables, Halal meat & fish as well. It's open Saturday & Sunday but close on Monday & Wednesday.
Just visit on Saturday afternoon & you'll get lifetime experience.
E. O.
It's the market! What you see is what you get. My mum loves going there but I stay in the car. It needs a new look I think. It's dark and dingy and dirty. But that's a market for you! On the other hand I love the fact there is parking!
b.
Lots of things to buy from clothes to jewellery, to food, bring cash on hand. It's interesting to have a little wander around
H. A.
Cheapest Asian fruits, vegetables, meats and fabrics...nice day out
A. M.
Seeing the local foods amazes me
M. R.
A historical market in green Street Upton park next to station. A rang of stalls & shops. Paid Car parking available on the roof of market.
F. R.
This fruit and vegetables local market is a great facility for the local residents where the prices are very low as compare to other supermarket. The people from surrounding areas are also visiting this Market at least once a week.
A. R.
Very useful and cheap market for fruit, vegetables and other daily use items
Y. A.
I do not know how they sell so cheap. fresh, frozen vegetable. i wont say top quality meat but meat is really cheap. bit smelly. Reminds me of weekend markets in my country.
t.
A lot of different food items and stuff like sari's you can pick up here. Alot of fish and sea food ... But never come here at night a lot of gang members hang out here or around here
A. S.
Wow well during lockdown this is the only place I could find hair products & produce which I couldn't get hold of anywhere else. So thankyou Green Street Market.
A. D.
Great for fabric and sewing accessories. Also surrounding shops. Sometimes difficult with transport if going by bus as the road gets very busy on market days but a doddle if you're on foot
D. L.
It was alright alot of shops to visit and it's not
Crowded that much
t. p.
Good butchers, and plenty fruits , vegetables
K. M. H.
One of the best market in East London, severely ignored by the council and mayor which you can easily see. It has so many good sellers but no one to control quality. So bad sellers coming and harming the reputation. The staff toilet stinks like pigs 💩 poo. There's no public toilet. No atm machine inside. No water 💦 supply. No parking, no Road to avoid heavy crowd. Still thousands of people come to shop here every week and the sellers are selling good food in very cheap rate. Remember ''one pound fish'', he was from this market. In Eid, Puja or in Boishakhi festivals of Sikhs, this market becomes key pint of selling and gathering. At match day in Newham stadium, poor sunday sellers could make thousand times than brand sellers. Yet government don't wanna help and invest in their welfare.
If you wanna know what your government do to your country after winning your vote then come to this place. It's an open genuine and clear evidence of all Newham and London Mayor's carelessness.
m. c.
Everything is good price
M. B. W.
Bustling market with all you need. Butchers, veg stalls, houshold items, hair products, fish stalls, clothes and materials too.
j. m.
Fresh fruit and vegetables and other items that you may need for your home there are furniture shop butchers household electrical clothes so many things all in one place and prices are good too.
M. 6.
Excellent market( Queens market)
P. C.
Good feeling but not that great. There are plenty of good shops just around this market and therefore this market cannot get preference. Nothing so special.
F. L.
Smells of fish and body odour, but there is some cheap stuff for sale in this market which can be difficult to obtain elsewhere. There is a car park which is rather expensive and only takes coins rather than paying by phone or an app.
C. N.
i cant say i have ever bought anything from the market but there are a few beauty supply stores great for getting your eyebrows threaded for as little as £2 i have been going here for years and will continue to do so
J. T.
The fruit n veg stall at the near back is better than front.
G. G.
Good market. Planty butcher's. I bought some offcut meat for my dogs
T. B.
Perfect if you need some meat, the odds bit of jewellery, or a hair shop but not if you don't like busy places
A. Q.
An open market for everyone to shop at. Lots of clothes stalls, fruit and veg stalls with reasonable prices. Parking is difficult to find but still worth the good prices.
S. K.
This place has upper level parking. They sell fruits, veg, clothes, hair pieces and jewellery. Theres also a black and asian salon. Some readymade asian clothes iswell as western clothes. The cheapest is the guy near the bags stall. He has a variety of kids clothes and suits/dresses at reasonable prices and takes returns. Because of him iv given the extra star.
J. F.

Queen's Market, also known as Queen's Road Market, and Green Street Market, is an historic street market in the London Borough of Newham. It lies adjacent to Green Street and Upton Park tube station. The street market originated in Green Street at the boundary between East Ham and West Ham in the late Victorian era when the new suburb of East Ham began to be developed.
