Even with the cold weather the stalls were open, great stalls. From fresh farm veg, to excellent sausages, coffee, gin, knife sharpening, hand made ceramic signs and loads of excellent food stop. Really good every time I've visited.

So happy that the market is back! The best fruit and veg, nice and friendly people and a lovely hot food after day of shopping. Oh, and when you see a lady selling olives, definitely do try. One of the best ones I've had in ages!

It's rather new so not too crowded or big but still about 20 stalls with excellent quality products, very friendly people and live music. It's open every other Saturday and well worth a visit. Excellent breads, Italian cheese & sausage, preserves, German cakes, coffee kombucha, lavender product and much more. There's also hot food and local community representatives.

Always enjoy coming to the market there are so many great independent vendors and the food options are all amazing from those that's I've tried so far. They are genuine people behind the businesses and really worth a visit.

A nice idea and very chichi. My only complaint about these kind of niche farmers' markets is that they sell a range of overpriced goods that nobody really needs.

Great place to get fantastic food sourced directly from Kent. Herbivore or carnivore, you will leave happy :)

Despite being local it's taken me awhile to get around to visiting this! Great to see this kind of thing coming to Woolwich but I really wish I could rate it higher.
It's very small with only a few stalls. Not too bad really given the space and I wouldn't mind so much if the quality of what was on offer was higher.
The guy selling meat seemed to be just a regular butcher. I mean, I can get that anywhere even in these days where butchers are not as common as they once were. I order my rare bread, dry aged meat online so why would I get some not very appealing looking meat from here? The lady selling bread had very little to offer and was eating what a prepacked supermarket sandwich... If I was selling quality baked bread I wouldn't be eating a supermarket sandwich . It doesn't give the best impression of the quality of your wares. We got some fudge but it wasn't great. It didn't really taste much of fudge and the flavors were off and artificial. Some of the charcuterie and cheeses did look quite good though and will get some next time. Maybe we were just unlucky with the stalls on the day? Having only been once it's difficult to know.
There were a few places you could get something to eat. Street food! They had a jerk chicken place. I didn't try any but it didn't look all that good and it was disheartening to see a microwave... There was a sausage stall cooking large sausages really slowly. Too slowly? Again, I didn't try but they didn't look great and I was put off by the slow cooking of the meat.
There was a place doing grilled cheese sandwiches. We tried that and it was good although not outstanding. We have had a lot better in London. The secret of doing great grilled cheese is actually in the choice and freshness of the bread! We tried the Himalayan food which was really very good. The curry was fantastic and momo dumplings good.
I would go back, it's ok, but I wouldn't rush back. I think they need to up the quality of what's offered and maybe jam a few more stalls into the space.

My favourite tradition is to attend the Farmer’s Market. It has a real community feel, traders are very nice and offer a wide range of essentials + treats. Supporting local businesses always makes me extra happy too!

Great market. Olives and fruit & veg stalls probably the best there. Well worth checking out.
Edit: the cake stall is now definitely on the list and the steak and chips have me thinking about it every week!

The stall holders are all friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about their goods. Anything I've bought there over the last two years (which was when I discovered it) has been of great quality! I don't go very often, as most of the goods there are luxury goods, but when I do go I always leave happy.
Additionally, the market is a great place for local businesses to get a foot in the door. Chatting with people from the local area and hearing about their triumphs and hard work is a lovely way to pass the time, and I wish them the best in times to come.
