Reviews of Shepherd's Bush Market
c.
Shame the market is being gentrified with nothing more than cafes popping up, I mean how many cafes can one place have! I love the international feel of this market, all the unique foods that you would be hard pressed to get anywhere else, the friendly stall/shop owners. Personally recommend the pet shop, a bit of an Aladdins den but so friendly and a pleasure to visit.
B. V.
A great diverse experience with haberdashery galore, fresh fruits juices. Great 👍
M. A.
Nice place to visit but needs some modernisation, and more attractive looking stalls.
Seems a little run down
Had breakfast at Sudani spot but overpriced for the area.
B. K. O.
Decent market, with affordable non name brand clothing stalls.. lovely fresh fruit and veg.. and quality fresh pieces of meat and the cleanest fish mongers in London
H. F.
Is interesting street market. vendors sell all range of products from clothing, fabricsand household goods. In addition to small cafes and restaurants selling Chinede food, Ethiopian food, falafel, Sudanese food and even pizza.
I forgot about the high st posh restaurants mechamical prestige for a moment and enjoyed these friendly relax simple ones. They taste good and fresh.
T. A.
Lovely oriental market to visit, reminds me of markets at home land. Best shops to have Egyptian Sudanese food like Fool, Falafel, aubergine salad, liver, and fried fish. In particular, Noon shop is my favourite, clean, nice food and excellent customer service.
A. L. 1.
Foods available from every culture 😋
Fresh fish/ meat and lots more.
Could do with some regeneration, however.
Updated 20/01/2022- There are now some new stalls including a coffee shop, cafe and juice bar. I hope they don't try to make SBM into a foodie market. There are enough of those in London already!
S. C.
From Colombian arepas to Jamaican beers to Brazilian papayas or mangoes from India.... In Shepherd's Bush market, you can find everything!! 🙏🏻
T. D.
This market use to be mostly Arabs shop but now Sikh of Afghanistan are most of shop owners. Weekends you can get exotic goods and fish shops are bringing fresh fish Dailly.
A. T.
Please give this place a chance . Most of the vendors have the best produce in London without anything pretentious. Love this place
M. G.
Some stalls have closed but it's getting busy again, lovely place, still has character and nice cafes with excellent falafel!
H. G.
Usual market items sold. Shepherds Bush Market is still needed although Westfield is down the road. A market is always needed, it brings a community together, not just shoppers. Good to see some of the shops and stalls still in place, especially the pet shop. It has been going solid for over 50 years....well done. My grandchildren where amazed with it, as I was, as a small girl. Soon popping in there to purchase fish tank and fishes. Lots of new set-ups which adds to the beauty of mixed culture that represents Shepherds Bush.
M. A.
One of the simplest places in London
Wide range of products and services that you cannot find anywhere else.
Nice and helpful people are always smiling and ready to give advice
Cheap price for everything
Traditional marketing for Asian and Middle Eastern people.
T. P.
I have been going to this market for over 30 years, it's still the go to place for fruit, veg, meat, fish and spices from around the world. It's a little run down now, but still going strong. Great place and may it's future be brighter.
H. H.
A market of great character. Great green grocer,Chinese food. Ethiopian cafe with delicious food. Great Fishmongers. Bulk buy grocery stores. Super butchers . Steaks have been really good from them.
T. R.
This place had a mixture of everything from meat, fish, tropical fruits and general home accessories and clothing.
Visited on a couple of occasions and surprised how much the market stretches for in terms of floor space.
I’ve been on both occasion to buy my tropical fruits from the strawberry hill fruiters.
J. D.
One of the best falafel I have had in UK. Very tasty and moist. The pickled veggies added so much of taste. Whenever I am going to be in this area this would be eating stop ❤❤❤
S. S.
NOT a morning market. Wish I had known before but alas. At 10am, there are only maybe 10% of the vendors open. Looks like it’s great when everyone is open though!
M. O.

Shepherds Bush Market 3 mins away from Westfield White city Local shops, food, Fabrics under the arches of Hammersmith and city lines between Gold hawk road and Shepherds Bush Market tube stations
S. F.
Usually I do grocery shopping also I get the best of halal meats.
W. H.
Wonderful old school market with everything from fruit to cashmere jackets. Classic community vibe bustling with culture
C. L.
I always find what I want at great prices. All food stands are great
.
M. A.
I love going there for my foodstuff and the place has changed. They've got a new smoothie making stall and it's really cool
C. B.
From now on this is my go to place, the service is very friendly and helpful, they sure do know their stuff, last week I walked to King St, went in Sainsbury's, Boots, Wilko, Iceland, Savers and Poundland, no one had what I wanted they all said "We used to stock it" (like that helps 🥺😠) no one knew where I could purchase what I wanted, so I thought I'd try the market, 🤠 Eventually I got to Continental food store, I should have gone there first instead of wasting time on King St for something every Grocery should have, since then I've been in multiple times, they have an incredible range of teas, herb's from all over the world, I took my best Pal there and even he was impressed.
I think I'm hooked 4 visits in 3 days (consultation needed 😅)
Just tell them that the Chairman sent you 👍👍😎
A. I.
Just cheap & traditional place
Wonderful shops
Amazing & delicious food
D. T.
Do many venders to choose from in the outdoor and indoor market. Bring your bag, plenty transport links
S. T.
Nice diverse of culture and food plus retro clothing shops n stalls in the market
C. _. S.
I love that they sell plantains here and was looking forward to buying green plantains again here and saw on the main website page that this market is open now on Sundays from June-September, however I went this morning and all the stalls were closed. Hugely disappointed as I was planning on making plantain dishes with my friends this week and will have to return to another area of england where i live today.
g. h.
Small market. Good for fish and other food. Clothes and baggage. Nice little market.
J. N.
Great place to pick up bargains. Don't forget to negotiate prices or walk away.
I. z. K.
Unique food sold here, but the quality of the shops and area is poor.
M. A.
If you’re in London looking for something unique you need to travel to shepherds Bush market to see the real way shopping is experienced
F. A. A.
A nice popular market, you can fine any things you want, but not good quality
A. Z.
Very big cheap market
I was surprised from its size firstly then from the prices. Food shops are many but not that good quality
There's 2 corridors one covered by a roof and the second is not
Try to negotiate with the prices you can even reach cheaper one
V. L.
It's very nice shepherd Bush Market alot of various shopping
D. S.
Best market ever . Furniture , clothing and food all available .
N. J.
Loved it, we were too early and so not all the stalls were open. An old fashioned, local Street Market.
What's there - a bit of everything both English and International (in the time we had, we saw, Afro-Caribbean, Central European, Chinese, Halal etc). Including food stores and stalls, clothes, bedding, towels, shoes, furnishings... There will be a lot more, but we were a little early, although the Website says 9:00 am, stalls were just opening, setting up or empty, a number of the shops were open.
Price - budget to medium range from what we saw.
Open - Mondays to Saturdays, check the Website.
Accessibility - yes, level paving, narrow in places, may get crowded.
Toilets - sorry did not look, assume there must be for a Market, there are Cafe's...
M. G.
Exotic Ethiopian coffee at Delina Ethiopian restaurant at unit 174 under the arches. A memorable experience indeed!
A. C.
Has all the fruits and vegetables I need as well as many different shops with clothes
A.
Not as eclectic as it use to be, becoming a bit boogie but still a great market and one of the few genuine markets left in London
A. N. K.
This market is huge and amazing, lots of different things to get, you can get almost everything here and all the stall holders are so friendly. It's also so convenient that it's open till 6pm, unfortunately I didn't have time to check out the whole market but I'll be back next time.
A. I.
Almost everything under the sun can be bought here, reasonable prices as well
J. C.
Love the market still got charm and great stuff on stalls !love to see the old ladies bloomers and the enamel ware -kind stall holders; fun to visit !
p. a.
It is a shame that S. B. Market has most of its shutters down. Glad I can still get fabric from the shops are there, and the hat stall!!! Foundation!!!
C. W.
Great market, lot of variety in stalls and interesting traders. The Oldy laundry Yard next door is just the kind of trendy food court/bar area needed to give the local community a boost!
r. b.
Nice place to visit for provisions fruits vegetables. Friendly market traders.
S. L.
Found a small shop that sells embroidery/sewing goods and went crazy there! A good range of types of sewing needles, spools of thread and crochet yarns. There wasn’t a wide range of colors but there were some good stuff at good prices. There are vegetable shops, knick knack shops were you can get souvenirs. There are also shops that sell fabrics. Don’t be afraid to haggle nicely.
P. H.
Half of the shops are either not pen or definitive closed at 11am on a Thursday.
Mostly African North African and Indian shops.
You can find five continents goods there, including halal meat
q. 6.
Still as good as it used to be..all these years later..hope it stays where it is.
N. W.
Not what it use to be, but you can find Carribbean produce fruit and vegetables from the stalls. There is also west Indian Carribbean shops as well.
M. B. D. S.
Really good options and you can really feel all the different cultures coming together
A. M.
It's a lovely open market where you can find thing's on cheapest in shepherds Bush market
M. D.
Still the same old market. If they don't sell it here, you probably can't buy it anywhere!
C. W.
Fab grocery/fruit and veg shops where you can get food from all over the world at much better value than supermarkets.
K.
I like the Market we had a good time me and my friends
B. F.
Love shephards Bush Market can always get what I want especially spices this Place is still amazing hope it always stays that way.
R. D.
Nice street market i usually go there to buy meat and vegetables good quality and price are very fair
S. P.
Kind of nice place for a difference, loads of stuff, items for the house.
M. W.
A fun place to wander through and look at flea market type products for low negotiable prices.
N. E.
Great fun but far fewer stalls and shops than usual. Most shop owners polite and helpful. Good food shops and a really good coffee shop.
A. M.
It doesn’t look like what my parents visited before there were disappointed about the big change that happened to the place
And there are few shops
It may because they build the biggest mall in London nearby it just 4-6 minutes walking less than 500 meters
M. M.
Lovely place with loads of shops and the famous Shepherds Bush market situated in the centre. Parking can be challenging.
i. l.
Lovely place, Especially Steve & sons and international grocery shop & the butcher near the Gold hawk road next to fish shop
N. L.
Great Market, loads of different stalls. Will definitely find what your looking for in a market here.
S. T.
Still the best place in west London to get a range of west Indian provisions. Fabric shops with a range of material.
F. Z.
We found Malaysian food here. There's a halal butcher too. There's even a mosque very close by
D. J.
Ideas for specifically come here for the pet supplies shop as it's the only one in the area but I'm also giving this five-star because the food is great. I specifically mention the food in the Chinese takeaway at the bottom of the market
s. h.
Love this market,,,it has everything you need,,,
D. B.
This market is apart of my childhood. If you get a bit deeper inside you can find some tasty things to eat for dinner. I love the fresh fish and the Ghanaian store.
J. T.
I've been to better. It's all a bit run down
C. O.
Good fabrics I.got here
C. O.
Amazing place, you can find everything here, from pots and pans to linen dresses and plantain. My happy place 😁
A. M.
Great historical market has a blend as unique as West London's cultures, find some exotic from anywhere in the world.
E. C.
I like to support my local market, they are friendly and supportive.
And you can always get small amounts at a good price. Fresh and always displayed very well.
C. g.
Grab abit of lunch from the market, was definitely what was needed 😁😁
B.
Good things for shopping and there are food to try
L. C.
Great veg and fruit market.Fantastic quality at great prices
d. k.
This place might not be pretty, or trendy but it has some hidden gems inside. There are some really great fruit and veg stalls, and you can pack what you want in paper bags so no plastic waste. We bring back the bags every week to reuse when we do our shop. The fish vendor near the Goldhawk road end is happy to put your fish in a Tupperware container if you bring one, so no plastic waste here either. There are some great grocery stores inside that sell Asian, African and Caribbean ingredients you can't get at the supermarket. A couple of halal butchers too. The people who work in the market are friendly and appreciate returning customers.
a. a.
Very simple market and people are very kind
A. I.
Good place. Seems lot of shops are tidy.
Tried to buy berries but not all good. Some items are rotten understandably because of pandemic. Maybe normally better.
M. M.
One of my favourite markets. Usually A lively and lovely market, due to covid the only the essential stalls and shops are working. You can still buy so.e of the best street food in town.
a. a.
It's has nice Arabic cafeteria practically Egeption food like as Taameyah(falafel),foul(fava beans), Hammus, Kebdah(liver), Sojok(Sausage) with delicious Sauses
S.
Is a very convenient market I like how the markets set up
E. D.
Friendly stalls and shops with a huge range of products, especially food from around the world!
S. A.
I like this market because the price is negotiable depending on person how they deal with you. 🤗
s.
A bit run down but some good shops
F. A.
Good market with many cheap clothes for kids and women. Also some souvenirs and gifts. Don’t miss the tasty falafel.
B. L.
Great old style Street Market with a good mix of stalls and shops under the railway arches and a few street food stalls. Well worth a look if in Shepherds Bush and makes a nice change from the Westfield Shopping mall
w. o.
All bar one shop closed the shop I needed, how's that for luck. Save myself over £60 by not shopping on line, and going to the market to get materials to replace the upholstery on my chairs and varnishing my table.. Before and after attached
A. G.
It's a good place to shop
A. D. B.
You can buy things at reasonable prices that maybe you can't get elsewhere. It is a very old market with a long history. Its ethnic origins have changed over the years at the moment it serves mostly the Muslim community with Halal shops but is friendly to anyone.
S. C.
Great place to spend time browsing as well as reasonably priced items and sustenance.
L. H.
I love the place. Its vibrant and engaging in a different way. Every shop owner over there welcome the friendship as well, not just the customs. It's a place you can easily get addicted to! Trust me am not the only one who feels like that
P. H.
Its a very mixed market, fruit, vegetables, clothes, mobile phone stalls, kitchenware.
L. J.
Although so many of the shops have disappeared you can still experience a lovely and friendly service from all the traders.
A. K.
There are some nice bright clothes here particularly for Asian styles. There's a good selection of fresh produce as well.
A. H.
Use to love bush market when a child. Not so much now. Feels run down and half empty. Seems to have lost its identity and buzz. Sad😟
A. Y.
Very nice display of gold.
A. J.
Isn't really a big market with vast food stuff. Could hardly find what I wanted for my Nigerian meal and it was quite expensive in my opinion
J. H.
Loved the variety of shops and stalls. Will come again.
G. W.
There's still a few good stalls but not nearly as many as when I was a growing up.
There is a lot of repetition, highlighting the need for new traders with fresh innovative ideas. Unfortunately it seems to be a government trend to disinvest in the many popular markets of the 80s and 90s, or reinvent them as boring foodie markets. It's a real shame as most stocked unusual items.
M. B.
Fresh meat, quality butcher.... fruit vegetables, lot of different nationalities food ....clothes,materials,sewing
A. W.
Excellent butchers and wet fish shops. Fantastic coffee shop at Uxbridge Road end. Looks a bit run down but you can get almost everything there. I had 2 cushion covers with zips made in 30 mins!
Z.
This market is extremely cool! Full of foods and spices from all around the world. It makes you feel like you're not even in London and I love it!
R. A.
I haven't been to shepherd's Bush market over 3 years quite a few places closed.
M. M.
A great place to find most things at a reasonable price
J. S.
Once you get used to the aroma of fish it's nice to have a wander round.
f. z.
Good place to find cheap clothes and halal Muslim food 😍
A. T.
It's just Wahoo market, anything you want at all, it's there
S. M.
Never seems to change. Street market for all the usual stuff. Fruit, veg, bags, clothing and material. Watch stall at North end. Side market a kasbah style affair selling mainly clothing. Steptoes yard next door never took off as a street food venue. Closed Sunday. Strange as most markets open then.
M. W.
Favourite old market for fresh groceries and other items. Maintain the history.
S. s.
Everything we can find in this market from A to Z . Only furniture store in Shepherd’s bush (Modernique furniture) and they got huge selection of furniture at very reasonable price and cheaper then online
A. A.
Open and fully functional for Christmas week.
S. S. (.
I do love the grittyness of this place, it still feels like a bubble outside of the rules, almost lawless. Gentrification will ruin the vibe eventually, breathe in the l'eau de weed that wafts about whilst you can. One day it will be gone and another heart of London will lay buried under yet more concrete.
A. U.
Amazing multicultural place to enjoy shopping.
I love Shepherd's Market and I want it to stay the way it has always been.
M. “. B.
I like shepherds bush market. One can find planty of cheap chavi but savyy products from locals who talk a lot and wouldn't hurt a fly. Some big characters and personalities paas by with stories to tell that would be a pretty good for science fiction movies. Jack the Ripper was residing hete and the market is full of charisma and fun. And of course around the corrnet you will find a concrete desert of westfield shopping centre. In the village Louis Vuitton is in a full contrast to the market fake bags and purses. Shepherds bush market is famous for its unique characters. And thats why it has a presence in many of west Londoners
J. L.
Most of it closed very much a faded site
G. K.
Prices are too steep, for an outdoor market ,
M. O.
Good market I will go again
A. S.
Everything is there by good price.
D. S.
Good choice of gifts. Lively atmosphere.
N. S. B.
Nice market open every day groceries food clothes unique styles household things. Whtever one wants if they can not find on high street can take a chance to find. Artificial good quality jewellery all foods from all continents. So yea its good.
w. “. I.
Get nice fruits and vegetables and plenty of home staff for not much money
A. M.
Awesome street shopping
C. N.
Brilliant for getting African, Asian and Caribbean food etc.
E. B.
Good place for cheap stuff
R. A.
Great place for Arab mothers to pick up various fabrics and house gowns
B. B.
Local fresh produce, with friendly store sellers
A. G.
I highly recommend the JUICE STAND run by a lovely Turkish man. The juices are economic with fresh ingredients even raw sugar cane which he extracts in front of you from the cane. I love it!
N. D.
Loved my experience ♥ would love to go there again !!
H. B.
Did not find what I needed more children cloths needed
B. M.
Asian food, fresh juices, fresh fish, curtain, carpet, furniture and Arabic clothes are the unique items of this market. Hardly see any English people coming here for shopping.
B. D.
Lots of clothes!!! Great price
T. l. s.
Its a great place because you have a variety of multiple items including:Traditional food, clothing, home furnishings, art and craft.
Available at affordable prices🍭
m. m.
My best market in the world
K. A.
Not much variation of products to choose especially kids occasionally outfits and its getting pricy every year with the same items in display.
W. H.
If you visiting the market you got to try the Sudanese vegan Falafel , and fool sandwich. There is fresh Fruit juices shop in the middle of the market. He make the best freshers drink in the Hall County, tested amazin
. Its made front of you.
P. K. L.
Prime example of an excellent market. No hassle or haggling. Exotic mangoes, cherries, potatoes takeaway foods, samosas, falafels and pet store. 2 seafood stalls selling fish, prawns and sometimes crab. Plenty of stores selling children toys and household essentials. DIY stuff too.
B.
Mr Falafel features in a nice selection of food shops in the market. Delicious and worth a journey to have some!
A. B.
This market is actually quite cool... lots of items to look at such as ladies jilbabs and mens. Footwear, jewellery clothes and food also. I like the atmosphere. Not easy to bargain here they don't really budge. Food stall are tasty - try the samosa man and his tea is awesome. I would say it is a bit pricey here overall for a market
P. M.
A local market with some great food places to eat in or takeaway. Plenty of fabric and clothes stalls, fruit and veg vendors and places to get repairs done. Worth a visit if you're in the area but doesn't take longer than 10 minutes to walk around the whole place. Definitely grab an espresso from the little wooden hut by the entrance!
M. A.
Good place for shopping
E. A.
Busy manage to get all I needed.
A. J. F. (.

M. G.
Very busy but had everything you needed
J.
Love this market. Just found out that I can get Bounty and Chairman's Reserved Rums, which I find hard to get, in one of the shops. This is great 👍🏾
S. J.
Wow, what an amazing place for fabrics
S. M.
The people I goes to always lovely to see me I like shopping in the Market coming all the way from Balham. 🛍️
D. P.
Spreads north to south on the western edge of Shepards Bush. Many outside and under the arches stalls. Food, clothes, jewellery, nick nacks, general goods, etc. Well worth looking over, plenty of atmosphere.
W. A.
Awesome experience ... Quite different place ...
T. H.
Good old fashioned market
London experience
J. M.
We come here all the way from Kent to buy meat from the butcher's here. Lovely meat at a very reasonable price.
A. D.
too many small outdoor shops nut majority sell same products. bedroom products, hats, cheap prices tops. and there is specialty stores for other cultures (Indian dresses).
A. D.
No. 1 choice for pure Arabic products. Extremely recommended even when not looking for something specific.
J. W.
A good place to try street food, and buy fresh fruits and vegetables, gorceries including meat and clothing or textile accessories. And there are lots of small shops for daily life things. But the quality is not very well because most of them are cheap stuff. And it is more the style for Muslim Community.
H. J.
Chill place with nice prices. you need to look for hardly if you want to find a great deal.
K. T.
This market has been running for over 50 years and it was one of my local market when I came to this country. I still shop there for my Caribbean food, it's a market where all we Grenadian shopped in the 60ties. What ever product you want I guarantee you will find it there.
S. G.
Very basic, not many good stalls really, probably only used a handful and I've lived here my whole life. Fruit and veg stalls vary prices so much, clothing...just no. The good stalls are small. Meh.
g.
You couldn't get much more multicultural than this. Great greengrocer at one end, delicious felafel wraps at the other. Amazing Italian coffee shop in between. Plethora of stalls, clothes, butchers, toys, money transfer (!)
a. l.
I liked the traditional market feel, the various options available for everyone and the welcoming atmosphere.
A. A.
Ok place for veg and meat. Just don't buy non-perishable items here as there's no such thing as returns. Nice and cheap Chinese, Sudanese and other ethnic food to be had.
R. W.
A lovely market with 2 excellent fish stalls and meat and veg. Plus the other clothes, iron mongers etc. The prices are very good too
E.
I love going in this market. You never know what you may find! It’s like a secret gem in London.
I usually go for material for fabric and clothes making. You don’t need cash either, most of the stalls take card too, which helps!
M. B.
I had a really interesting time at the market today! There were a lot of interesting fruits and vegetables to explore and also to try out. I went with my sister and ended up buying a whole lot of, mainly vegetables and also fish for the Christmas season.
K. B.
Great, fantastic place
D. S.
This is a great place to buy African, Carribean and South America local food products. There are a few markets that sell them. Also good for affordable clothing, bags and fabric.
V. L.
Not too bad alot various different shopping
N. T.
Butchers clean . Lots of choice of meat. Fishmonger very friendly. Cleaned and gutted my fish. Trade people so nice. Takeaway food amazingly cheap and tasty.
P. G.
My local market where I'm quite regular. It's full of exotic fresh vegetables from Asia & Africa! One can get all varieties of spices in this all-rounder market. Closes at 6 pm Monday to Saturday.
B. 2.
Was good going there as I had not been back there for over 10 years so it bought back some good memories.
k. s.
Good experience. I got all that I went for. Friendly people. Good day out.
C. S.
Awesome market, particularly for textiles
D. J.
Vibrant atmosphere. International selection of food and clothing at reasonable prices
H. S.

Lovely place for many years!
K. N.
A nice place to walk around and get cheap clothing, kitchen accessories, bags , toys, makeup, fruits and veg, meat fish and chicken ....etc. they have recently opened a coffee shop. There are a couple of fast foods.
E. E.
Great meat, fish, special groceries and whole lot more all at great prices
B. J.
Nice market. Many items for sale for cheaper prices. We have only walked on the right side of the railway, and have seen 2 souvenir stalls. Medium Big Bang bought 10p, magnet for 1p. Much cheaper than elsewhere in the city.
You can not entertain all day, the Bush market is too small for that. We then went to W12 shopping center and Westfield and had a nice day.
H.
Variety of shops to choose from.
C. C.
Love Shepherds Bush Market, been coming here for more than 40 years, lovely stall holders providing for all your needs from fresh produce to great value suitcases. 👏👏🤗💕
d.
Always Fresh, we can find food from over the world, including Colombian delicatessen 🤗👏
A. B.
Was anticipating more food stalls as I was after fresh produce at a cheaper price. Some of the stalls didn't look great and one of the fruit and veg stalls at the front of the market had rottening produce. Was quite off putting think I will stick to the supermarkets in future.
K. B.
It was closed on Bank Holiday?
S. Y.
This market has gone downhill, I remember in 90s this market was buzzing with fashion now it's cheap made clothes that are not worth to buying. Its really sad
K. D.
Cheap and not well frequented market
B. 1.
Palestinian stall great food and cheap.
L. N.
Even though they're trying so hard to demolish this landmark it's still surviving. Still the best market with stall holders that have been the same people or family all my life and that's over half a century. Best place to go for haberdashery, bags, cases, household goods, food, hair products and everything else.
Z. Q.
This was my first visit and surprisingly it's bigger then i imagined. All kind of shops are there owned by multi cultural people. We arrived an hr before the closing time but still managed to look around and attended few shops. I will visit again. It's two thumbs up!
J. M.
Not much there. Drab. Very disappointed.
M. D.
Everything in super good market
v. E.
Love Shepherds Bush.....market is very active.... But the material shops are what I go for! People very helpful and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the 5 stars......and a lovely old fashioned Silversmith is certainly worth a look at!
L. Q.
Nice local market
You can get food from almost quite alot of countries
Pricewise compared to supermarket is bit high but once in a while treat not bad
Most store workers are nice
Could do by making it cleaner I think as sometimes you pass through stuck of rubbish and people dropping packets too
As food been sold there definitely need to be high in hygiene
It's near to many local transportation bus and trains, taxis too stop by the side of the road overall I would say it's nice and so are many people who works there .you get some 😒😒but that is everywhere to be honest
R.
Diverse not overly big but a wide selection of meat fish clothes of all denominations. Practicals too kitchen ware the odd tool for diy and plenty eateries around the whole area. A lovely stroll.
K. S.
I was brought up in West London. I had good time growing up there. The market as changed not much people are there. Its over 50 years ago
L. S.
A lovely place to shop. Been visiting since i was a child. Excellent choices for bags, luggage, shoes and hats. (5* for these) but I give it 3* because of the narrow range of clothing stores.
Y. U.
Amazing place; lovely atmosphere and a variety of food, clothing and home essentials.
There's a fantastic mosque round the corner too.
N. R.
Lovely local market
n. A.
Over the years it has changed and got smaller but it is also far more cleaner and good organized. You find lots of exotic fruits there for very very good price. Trust me, I know what I am talking about :)
D. D.
Always run to this market anytime I need the hottest chillies and most delicious Asian instant noodles! The fish / sea food are more expensive compare to Tesco, but if you like kinda 'exotic' meaty food like chicken liver/gizzard etc, it's very cheap here.. note; most of my 'white' friends quite surprise on how delicious the Indonesian instant noodles I cook for them.. in this market you can get it ( Indomie) 1/3 the average price..
M. C.
big market where you can find loads of stuff to buy. from food to home essentials, gadgets and many more. not the most elegant flea market though and also looks a bit dodgy at the end of the day, although very useful and cheap for specific products
c. l.
Been shopping here for last 20 years friendly shops great value and variety
J. A.
I get everything I need.
S. P.
Best place for shopping 🛒
D. A.
One of the most charming market of London.
N. B.
I visit the green grocers on the Goldhawk rd entrance, by sainsburys and tesco. The green grocers is really good and staff there are very friendly. I would give them 5 stars.
However I wouldn't say much about the rest of the market. Its mostly cheap homewares and discount clothing that I wouldn't recommend to anyone, to be honest.
C. N.
My in-laws' favourite grocery place. Old fashion market place, not very clean but can't beat the price. You can find meat and seafood that can't be found in Salisbury or ms or Tesco or Waitrose. Just need to be careful of some vendors. We got ripped off by the one at the entrance of the back door, charged us 3 times the regular price inside for a mango, learned my lesson and now I am telling you that you should ask the price and look around first.
R. C.
Very casual market in West London near the Westfield. Super affordable unique item's.
A. M.
One of my favourite marketplace. Can always pick up lots of bargains.
b. i.
Not for everyone. But definitely for bargain hunters. Prices are well below your high street prices and you get to make friends with the stall owners that can land you even further discounts.
J. B.
Obviously not the same since the 80s 90s and 00s but still has the old school feel to it
K. R.
I loved this placed reminded me of the market places back from where I am. Catered more to the Arab community however still can pick up some nice things at a good price. Has fruit stalls clothes for kids and elders. A few jewellery shops. Luggage stores. A couple of food places which sell stuff like burgers and falafels. I picked up an abaya from here for my wife for around £20 so prices are not too high. The market is close to the station and not too far from Westfield shopping centre walking distance
G. C.
In this market you can find bags, luggages, clothes, material to make your own clothes, shoes, jewellery..and food. The only negative part are pigeons... Unfortunately there are people that feed them with what is left over and those creatures fly above your heat and some times...pooh on you...
T.
I can get whatever I need. So far it's good.
M. A.
Good Market, with good prices
P. K.
The market is so so but it's saving grace is the Italian Coffee Club for a great cup of Joe and or a good selection of beans. Seek it out , you don't be disappointed.
J. S.
Half the stalls are now closed. This used to be thriving market that had something for everybody where you had to fight through the crowds. It's now like the beginning of a ghost town. Sad considering the time it's been there. It's was a trademark for London but not anymore.
m. p.
A nice day out with my friends 💕💕😊
G. N.
People's here are very friendly and welcoming. Anything you need to buy or eat, just come here and you will get.
N. B.
One of the great markets of London: you can have your fortune told, buy palm wine and salt fish wrapped in banana leaves; find a leg of goat and some plantain; and eat delicious Lebanese falafel. And much more, of course: this is just scratching the surface.
O. “. S.
Same vendors, would love to see different!
G. B. F. M.
Bargains to be had, great for haggling
M. R.
Very nice place excellent for shopping you can find variety of things in here.
A. A.
Very wonderful and very enjoyable atmosphere and beautiful restaurants and wonderful prices and suitable
G. C.
Same as I remember it 60 years ago.
G. E.
If your like a little nostalgia ,or your in the mood unfashionable clothing ( think 80's styling ) and cheap nic nacs that you never knew you wanted but suddenly feel impelled to buy then this is your mecca , your alter to all things cheap and cheerful . Shepherds bush market belongs to a bygone age --that by itself can be a reason to visit ....just expect it to be a little grungy ( meaning filthy dirty ) colourful ( meaning no clean design lines over the holders stalls ) and a tad depressing looking . Pizza can be bought for 3 quid ( that's UK pounds ) and tourist tat is probably cheaper here than you'll pay on Oxford street but I'd still haggle .
M. F.
Nice shopping for 1st copy
S. S. U.
I have visited this market for over 45 years. It's a bit tired, needs a facelift. It has so many foods from around the world, I go there to buy JAMAICAN FOOD. Its here in abundance, but EXPENSIVE. But hey if you want QUALITY, you have to pay for it.
T. B.
The stalls were neat. I went on a Friday so it wasn't a market day. There were plenty of stalls empty so I felt that I didn't have the full experience
A. A.
Nice market if the weather was good (not raining) as it's open market.
Average local food
S. P.
If your looking for a bargain your in the right place, nice good things for all. Fresh food, fruit and veg nice fish stalls as well. It even has a gym
j. b.
nice vibe with lots of shops
L. D.
Good & affordable fishmongers and butchers. Place to go for your exotic veggies and spices.
A. R. I.
Lots to buy and see.
Q. N.
Best place to get everything and anything you may need. Beautiful people and Area
d. m.
Nice walk and look
A. H.
Love shepherds Bush market.... good for net
F. A.
It's OK but not the old shepherds Bush that we enjoyed to go to. Forget it if you think you will get a bargain. I hardly go, only a friend asks me to accompany her. I go just to a tiny cafe to eat foul the Egyptian fava beans that I like.
D. S.
Great market full of Caribbean goodies! It's hard finding Caribbean food stuff up North but I was pleasantly surprised at how much food stuff there was, especially things from my childhood!
f. g.
It is a local market to buy fruits, vegetables, fabrics, pots, clothing, the place is a long street from Shepherds Bush market station to Goldhawk road station. It has some small secondary narrow streets inside of the market. What is nice you can find taylors and sewitonthego small business. There are several coffe shops and the falafel sold in the one on the side on Shepherds Bush station is to die for. There are quite a few vegetable shops, my two favourite are in the middle of the main street cheap and cheerful. This places used to be common in London and this market is almost the same as when i first went there 15 years ago... It is worth for local for the price and variety, and for the turist because it is London but not the finess London. It is the place to have a coffe, try to bargain the price and go home with groceries(there are some shops that are rude, the stalls are more friendly)
T. R.
During this corona period, more than half the shops/stalls closed, but still managed to get what I was looking for.
A. E.
An excellent place to shop, you can find what you want
P. T.
Love this market been going to it since I was a little girl and it hasn't changed that's what I love about it. Good for fresh fish and afro Caribbean food.
A. S.
Great place and good fabric shops plus nice small mosque in the market
M. 1.
It is not fancy good looking but ,for me it is very nice place, handy and got good prices. I had a good fish meal at a Sudan fish small resturant.
E. H.
I like Shepherds Bush Market, even just to have a stroll on a sunny day.Two good fish stalls. Also if you didn't know, a pair of granny knickers can be bought from a stall.
l. l. d. c.
Market is ok got lots of different stuff a bit for everybody
A. O.
Its my local market, traders are very polite and happy to help you at all times, eve when u get there when its 20mins before closing.
C. K.
OK market lots of stalls shut or opening quite late
S. M.
Interesting spot to walk around. Lots of ethnic produce to enjoy. Even a few stalls selling Indian, Arabic and Thai foods.
O. A. K.
A place to buy just about anything ranging from food to bags, clothes and other materials. It’s a popular market with lots of Indian, African shops/stalls. It’s just beside the Shepherds Bush Underground station.
V. P.
Just a bit smelly due to the meat markets but not a bad market. I generally hit the shops but some great stalls outside too.
A. S.
Maaan, with all honesty, this place was a good place to pick up some food real quick or get something small like headphones, a cable etc. Otherwise, not ideal for proper clothes or electronical shopping. Thank you!
I. G.
I am finding the market and it useful essential shops very useful and engaging for particularly customers.
S. C.
Not the same buzz as 20 years ago, but altogether a wide selection of clothing, houseware and food stalls. Visited on a saturday in Dec2017 which was unusually quiet. Purchased extra large avocados, mangos and soursop. Interesting to visit, perhaps having westfield shopping centre up the road that gets more visitors. The market is directly opposite a station called 'shepherds bush market', which is not to be confused with shepherds bush station. We will visit again in the spring/summer.
J.
It's great to have somewhere to buy African foods. Could the local authority modify this market without gentifying it? I wonder if there are any plans in the pipeline.
R. F.
This has to be one of the beat market's I've ever been to,the mix of western, eastern and Caribbean food smells permeating the air are amazing.,and you cant wait to sample the fresh foods available. The stall's sell everything and anything you can think of from his and hers fashion needs to kitchen ware big enough to cook for the whole family in one go., and the music flowing through the streets makes you want to swing your hips without realising it.The stall holders are friendly, eager to help and offer a great selection discounts if your willing to haggel. Some of the stalls are in a separate side covered ally way but still within the market itself., and less than a 5 minute walk away is Westfield's with all the shops, restaurants and a brand new big John Lewis with all its usual amenities .
H. 5.
Beautiful place to visit
J. W.
Just real fun the variety of fish, meat and vegetables alone puts the supermarkets to shame
S. K.
Love Shepherd's Bush market. I want the traders to be helped more. The rates for them keep.going up to force em out so property developers can come & take over for luxury flats. The local council SHOULD help em out more. Thus goes for North End Road market too
N.
Open shopping area, loads to choose from, many fast food from different counties. Close to westfields shopping center. But you could eaisly spend a few hours exploring the market.
A. S.
VERY good deals!
A. W.
Lots of different stalls to look around & buy from, very busy, lovely coffee shop there as well
C. G.
A great place where you can find almost everything. Love it!
f. A. (.

K. M.
Good for domestic shopping prices are good but Lots of hustle there's no place for parking from 9am to 5pm, yea you can park outside but it's too far...
a.
Great food market along with everything that a market can offer you including cloths and housewares
q. o.
Jeep good quality i love
D. D.
The market has not changed over the years, there needs to be an update in clothing which needs to be a little more fashionable, overall a great market but some clothes stalls/shops need updating.
S. I.
I actually called in at the newly refurbished Bush Theatre which is now blended or rather landscaped into the side of the new Bush market. The theatre looks sleeker and more appealing with an easier access reception area where there is plenty of room to stand and browse the brochures, order your tickets, or walk into the lovely cost library cafe. I just wish they'd gone the whole hog with some large truly theatrical palms in planters on the decking outside. Without them it's a teensy bit bland darlings !!
C. P.
Hone of Moons, with its wonderful collection os spices and other ingredients.
V. N.
Love it so much loads of fashion bargains handbags shoe shops ohh and the spice shops are a must a real London feeling I go there a lot street food not overly priced got a London cab hand bag so cute

M. W.
Great variety
A. L.
Nice variety of shops which I use for other country products. Decent prices and a lot of fruit and vegetable stands.
U. S. (. A. J. A.
One of the only places in London to get truly exotic Caribbean foods from various small islands such as Grenada. Hard to find provisions such as breadfruit and bloggo can be found here. Also, speciality rums such as Rivers and Clarkes Court can be bought here. Attracts visitors from far and wide. World renowned.
R. C.
Local market full of unfashionable clothing items. It also has a couple of meat shops. I walk through it now and then but I have never bought anything and most likely I never will
A. M.
Great selection of products, some super traders !!! Excellent transport links, defo worth a visit
..first in markets, in West London.
E.

G. B.

S. L.
One o those authentic places which is still on a map of London. It changed a lot in last couple of decades but there are small patches of original installation like famous Suitman who's stall is there for 30 years with best quality suits to suit any requirements.
E. M.

M. V.

G. P.
Amazing
I loved lunch in the deck seeing the sea
J. M.
The market is not the same like back in the Mid eighties ,90s up to 2007. It was lively and so much choice very limited now. Still good for vegetables and west Indian food . There is a lovely shop family business selling west Indian produce teas seasonings Rum and alcohol.
r. V.

A true London gem. Hasn’t changed or been trendified since I first went there in the early 70s. Always go to Mill’s for my Lino.

No places to sit except for small restaurants
K. A.
Bought gold jewellery from Bushstores Jewellers, 21/8/21. Bracelet broke 3/8, brought back to shop. Owner aggressive refused refund and charged me for repair! Don't spend money at Bushstores unless you want low quality goods at high prices. Trading Standards have been informed and will monitor future trading activities. Citizens Advice suggested raise dispute through my bank as I paid with debit card. RESULT! Bank will refund my money and handle dispute on my behalf.
F. C.
Many products ethnic and not readily available in the usual shops, markets or supermarkets. The bus stop is right outside at the entrance to the market. To see!
M. C.

We enjoy this market for many years now it's a shame developers and landlords are harassing the small businessess that has been there for years it's a shame that they want to get rid or raise the rent of the tenants
A. J. B.
