My local Waitrose, I shop in here almost every day, an excellent supermarket to shop in, I enjoy shopping here because it has a friendly atmosphere, well stocked shelves and always something to tempt me to buy an extra treat, in recent years I have made a friend with no one member of the staff, Omar always greets me with a smile and a brief chat to know that I am wecomed back to the shop, it is all that you would expect of Waitrose, fine foods, an impressive fresh meat and fish counter, fresh bread and cakes and a wine section to spend time deliberately on, being only a short walk away from the Barbican centre it is worth a trip to if you are visiting the Barbican centre to shop for your dinner before you head home, I have a particular fondness for shopping here as they rarely disappoint me when I need the basics or are looking for something to treat myself, I was pleased to see my friend Omar has become a supervisor, a well deserved promotion for someone who goes the extra mile for the customers, I always appreciate that he will stop for a few words even when he is busy, being a regular shopper there I am recognised by several members of staff and are always acknowledged when they see me, even after a day trip, I will often detour to Waitrose as I head home rather than drop into the smaller shops nearer old street station.

This is a lovely shop, like most Waitrose. Great selection and nice staff. Being a Waitrose and being next to the Barbican is does have some things you never knew you needed! The only tiny annoyance is it has terrible phone reception, so impossible to phone if you need to check on anything

Great to have such a big store in central London. Great food quality and friendly staff with nice offers every week. It is very easy to eat healthy by shopping at this Waitrose. Decent size supermarket with wide range of best British products. Shops is clean and well organised. Stock is always up to date. Shop do provide seating area and few coffee machines. I am always pleased with service they do provide.

Medium-sized store that could do with enlarging its fresh fruit & vegetable section. Moderate but not exciting or inspiring selection of fresh fish and meats. Needs a bit of an upgrade. Small garden plant selection just outside the entrance are frequently badly cared for and wilting or dying. All in all not a reliable place to go for the regular weekly shop as often not all stock is either available or out on sale.

The only thing missing is the fact that this isn't a restaurant, what a shame! You will find one of the best quality of sushi in London. Salmon and tuna are so fresh so they are melting in your mouth.

A great branch to do your shopping. Staff is really friendly and always available to help, the shop is clean, tidy and well stocked and there's a wide range of products. Also you have both some out space to enjoy a coffee as well as a Pret just opposite.

Gets a 5 star from me - all staff were helpful and happy to help. One staff member in particular named Marie (at the welcome desk). Her customer service was exceptional, I haven't experienced customer service like it before. Her shift had finished, but stayed an extra 15 minutes (which I hope you pay her for!) to wrap a bouquet for me. She did a fantastic job, and took it upon herself to help me with flower selection. This world needs more Marie's - if this gets passed to you THANK YOU!

Am a regular, partly due to no other choice. Pleasant staff. Very cold; due to the fridges I suppose. A slightly eccentric range of goods for affluent inner city area but many good aspects. Fresh fish, sushi, chicken and butchery sections. Some items are hard to find until you get used to the sometimes odd layout. Worth getting a loyalty card with which you can get a free paper and coffee.

Great size Waitrose hidden in middle of The City of London next to fortune park with a large selection of produce selection, everyday items and a huge selection of spirits, wines and beers. Has a sushi food shop that my kids love !! Also has a small gardening section as well. Great service staff that gives you a family feel. Highly recommend to visit !!

Huge store, surprisingly good selection for a city centre location. Would usually expect just a 'local' supermarket branch with a few freezers and fresh veg but this has most of what you would need. Loads of vegan stuff too and a growing range.

Average to small sized 'local' store. Some staff were a little rude and dismissive, others were very friendly and helpful. Compact indoor 'cafe' (a single high bench-style table against the window with a few seats, coffee machine tucked in corner made access difficult when busy. Some seating outside too which was far more pleasant. Good range of products in store, and as ever with Waitrose, good quality but rather expensive.

Gotta love a Waitrose, even more now they don't print of give scrolls of receipt without prompt whenever you buy a bag of Tangfastics. This is a decent sized store although the non-food section feels like a bit of an afterthought, for better or worse.

Waitrose has a good selection of the usual items that you need. They support the British producers offering pure British vegetables and fruits, which is really great. Well, the prices here are higher than the other supermarkets, but it's well worth to pay an extra £ for the excellent service offered and all the fresh produce that you can find here.

Quite possibly the biggest Waitrose in London, this shop is perfect to pop to get anything you might need. Great selection of fruit, meat, cleaning products and chocolate. Fresh produce here too!

The price is really fit to your budget for everyday food shopping needs. Fruits and vegetables are carefully presented in displays that will keep the products fresh and crispy. Most of the produce is good quality, however nine out of ten packs of their Organic Mince Meat has rotten meat inside. Make sure you check by opening up the mince with your fingers before cooking it. Also, despite trying for six months, I've been unable to get a myWaitrose card. You can't get them from the store, you have to go online and the people on the customer service desk in the store just refer you to the customer service telephone number, who are the ones to blame in the first place.

Nice Waitrose, has good opening hours and choice of produce. Spoilt by the sink estate above it where the residents are chavs and dead common. One reviewer said it was on several floors but really just one. It would be good if it was extended upwards, thus also getting rid of the sink estate and its awful residents, a massive improvement to the whole area. There's a Pret just outside the shop now, which the sink estate residents spoil by using it.

It's a Watrose with friendly staff, so it's pretty easy to know what to expect from this place. It has a surprisingly large selection of fruit and veg, so I would recommend getting your 5 a day here and taking them home if you can as the quality of the produce tends to be at least one standard deviation above the norm.

If you got at the right time around 17.30 weekdays you can get a cooked whole chicken for 99p along with other amazing yellow sticker deals

After refurbishment it appears to be aiming for a takeaway food market with a sushi counter and a breakfast bar; unfortunately this has diminished the fish counter, the cheese / deli counter seems to have vanished, and the small counter service for cakes has also gone, leaving just the items on the shelves.
