Reviews of Waitrose & Partners Kings Cross
w. t.
Lovely place for shopping. Full of stock n variety of daily use stuff. Love their wine range n wine tasting counter. That pet of the store I like particularly.
B. R.
The wide pathways are pleasant and the selection of products are regular. Prices are normal I believe. I noticed that quiet some staff members don’t know what the store sells and the self scan is most of the time filled with red lights requiring assistance while staff members are nowhere to be found in the area.
I wouldn’t say it bad and it’s more oke if you know your way around.
Still the store has allot of potential and it’s sad to see it run like this.
Hope to see improvement.
L.
Good sized store, which should have had what I needed but many shelves were empty. Priced higher than most other supermarkets, so although the lay out and atmosphere were pleasant, this would not be my first choice for shopping.
A. C.
The staff at Waitrose are amazing, I really hope they get well-treated and decently paid for their work.
M. R.
Always a pleasure to shop here. Haven't been for a while, for one reason or another, just not been. I've missed it, and the staff. There seems to be just a higher level if care for customers. Staff make you feel valued and important. Katie, a manager always goes above and beyond, she has done so for me on numerous occasions. Always a pleasure, never a chore. They're great in there.
K.
Cooked and ate Chicken Shawarma, fattoush and flatbread. Excellent afternoon with friendly and knowledgeable chefs. Definitely worth a go..!
N. H.
Splendid Waitrose in and stunning victorian grain mill. A vast arrange of packaged and fresh goods. Huge selection of booze also.
A. r.
A fantastic store with a GREAT vegan section. You have to be quick if you want any snacks, bear or wine when the weather is nice. People buy and sit on the grass out side when the weather is nice. Would be nice if they’d label the vegan wine - that’s my only complaint.
h. c.
I really like this Waitrose as its got all the essentials a person would need, I adore the area so its a bonus to have this store where its suitably located, fresh food and great deals makes this a great place to shop.
F. M.
This is an excellent waitrose. There is a lot of places to checkout which allows you to get in and out very quickly
There is a good selection of cold alcohol, perfect for drinking in the local area when it's sunny.
S. F.
One of my favourite activities is watching this specific Waitrose get looted during lunch hours by the csm alumni
B. B.
Splendid staff l shopped there yesterday l thought l was in Harrods! We only went for the toilet initially with my child. Than ended up buying ice lollies drinks and even a desperately needed beach towel!! Japanese boy went out of his way to help. left his packing and brought us a towel from the display. He was the most amazing shop assistant l ever met together with the wonderful and most amazing slightly older African gentlemen who was at help next to the checkouts. He was so sweet and kind! I came out from this store even happier than l was before!! Magic!!!
r. b.
Lovely spacious supermarket with cafe and small park area. Has great selection of fresh bread, seafood, vegetables and meat. The self service tills actually work unlike in certain other supermarkets and there's loads of them so queues are normally really small.
M. S.
One of the larger Waitrose stores in central London with a very decent range across the board. They even have a wine bar and a cookery school onsite. Service as always is excellent too.
T. R.
Great shopping center, especially on weekends with the canopy market out front.
J. F.
Good for the times. Mostly socially distanced (with a few exceptions); majority masked (with a few exceptions) - some customers seemed impervious to distancing.
J. G.
Nice shopping experience, fresh food , delicious fish cam
P. C.
A fabulous flagship for Waitrose. It's just a great store in a beautiful building. Staff polite and helpful. I found everything I needed with no issues.
J. D.
Possibly the nicest supermarket I have been in! Lots of space amongst the aisles and a good range ... Including some (surprising) deals.
M. b.
Beautiful store in the old train shed and wonderful staff. Such a wide range and a wine bar too!
P. P. A.
Waitrose supermarket with wide selection of food, alcohol, toiletries, greetings cards and kitchenware
T. C.
Good store with a lot of variety. I have fallen in love with their sourdough crumpets! Ok so Waitrose in general is a bit expensive, but you do actually pay for quality. Every section in the store offers a good selection of products. I usually visit just to get lunch for work, but I find that for the area, this store offers a good variety of pricing so I can get lunch for anywhere between £3-10
V. L.
Nice store in a busy area. There's a good range of groceries available. A bar and restaurant is availableto sit in and eat. It's also a cooking school.
A. A.
Definitely my favourite supermarket in London. The team is friendly and helpful. The selection is excellent. The perks of membership are so sweet - I get a paper with my shopping, and a tea. I sort of wish the tea came before the shopping, so I can sip it while my wife is shopping, but it's fine nevertheless, no complains. This location has bakery and cooking school, an excellent wine counter and juice counter! Comfortable seating and toilet is available as well. Considering I get my John Lewis purchases picked up and delivered from any Waitrose nearby, I can hardly find another brand that can compete. Bravo, Waitrose.
S. B.
Waitrose has always been more expensive than the Tescos, Coops, Asdas etc but it is clear to see why - the difference in quality is easily noticeable. 5 stars
S. B.
The best Waitrose I've been to so far (actually the best supermarket). Great selection of fruits and veggies, fresh eggs, good quality bread and fresh fish. Their whisky selection always has something on offer.
A. C.
Stress free shipping at this branch, with a very comprehensive range of products and plenty of staff on floor, I quite happily go out of my way to do my shopping here. The store is clean, orderly and the layout is thoughtful, wanting that produce is where you would expect it to be. With a wine bar and a deli type bar as well, this is a great place to have around here
M. L.
This is the best Waitrose I've ever been. Big store, kind staff, enormous variety of products, great selection of fresh food. A juice bar for the fitness loco people e a nice cafe for the others mere mortals to indulge a nice cuppa.
A. D.
Located in beautiful Coal Drops! Modern and spacious, can get anything here. Also there is a small butcher and sea food counter.
c. c.
Great quality food and they stock products you cant find in other high street supermarket chains. Located in a beautiful surroundings.
E.
Some of the staff can be very rude. During the world pandemic Waitroses cant seem to make up their minds where to leave the wooden forks and spoons or how to hand them out. Yesterday, i asked for a fork and a spoon and they were left on the customer welcome desk i was told to help myself so i did. However, today i went to help myself and one of the staff members behind the customer welcome desk snapped at me and said "oy no fingers don't touch " but yesterday i was told to help myself. It would be nice if they could make their minds up, i felt very embarrassed and like i was getting told off, they were very rude.
On a couple of other occasions staff members have been rude to me but most of the staff are quite pleasant.
L.
Oh man, although it might be a bit pricey and you have a restricted choice of wine, the aperitif with the platter is absolutely delicious.
Friendly staff adds to the good experience at the Waitrose bar.
I’ve also noticed that there’s a kitchen if you want to join courses, fun!
A. Y.
Not at all busy as expected. Still the pleasant waitrose experience. Most of thee christmas shopping we needed was there. Advise to go before 1pm currently.
H. C.
Very lovely place to purchase your groceries. It is very clean and the service personnel there are very helpful too. Plus if you have a Waitrose card, you get to have a free cup of coffee when you leave. The selection for microwavable food isn't as plentiful as say, Sainsbury's or Morrison's but all in all, a great place to shop.
C. S.
A very spacious well laid out supermarket with a great selection, particularly given how central it is. You are also more likely to find reduced items than other central Waitrose stores. Has a large meat/fish counter, good bakery section and cafe; not to mention that it has a cookery school and wine bar (neither of which I've tried). It really has all you could need, very hard to fault.
B. L.
Service is not constant , some times fare and sometimes not the best. Staff need to be more friendly and helpful.
D. C.
The finest Waitrose Store in existence. It houses a wine bar, a kitchen(!) and most importantly an excellent food retail experience. You know when you shop at Waitrose the quality of their fresh produce is going to be that bit better than the mainstream supermarkets. Prices are surprisingly competitive too!
O. S.
Probably my favourite Waitrose branch in London. The premises spans a large amount of Granary Square and staff seem perky. What makes this stand out is the dining area - lots of space to have a seat and indulge in a cake (or tea) from the cafe, a freshly squeezed juice from the juice bar or even nibbling on some of your food shopping. The wine bar is very comfortable too and the outside seating is a nice touch, especially in the summer months.
K. S.
Shop at this particular place and get that modern contemporary feel. Partners are doing very well to ensure the comfort of shoppers here.
C. H.
Spacious & clean, this Waitrose also has a cafe, wine bar and even cookery school.
Located close to Kings Cross Station there is a busy lunch & dinner time crowd here.
Prices are the standard "Waitrose is rather known for quality than low prices", but they keep on marking reduced items & sometimes you can get great bargains here.
E. S.
The bar is actually very decent. Lovely beer garden, not too expensive for London, and when we went there was a band playing live.
As for the shop it's massive and has everything you need. Prices not too bad.
P. H.
Huge place with nice and modern architecture and all the newest technology a supermarket has to offer. Great selection of high quality food and drink in perfect presentation. Prices are on the higher side but so is the quality of everything you get.
F. Q.
Good size Waitrose that's perfect to pick up a few bits after work, but not too small that the range is limited. It also has birthday cards, and a few home gifts, but the coolest thing they have is also a wine bar with tall stools, as well as a cafe that I believe they have in many stores.
F. j.
Great area and events in and around the Kings Cross estate.
J. W.
Well located though on an early morning visit it wasn't amazingly stocked
L. M.
I was a this Waitrose many times, and I am pleased to review this supermarket, please see below:
1) free tea/coffee for register customer with the loyalty card.
2) huge variety of fruit / vegetable and already made food.
3) Very helpful staff ( 5 star +) - they help me to find many thing I don't know were present, but i need it)
4) customer area where you can sit ( warm and cosy).
5)bicycle rack / shelter there is a roof when you get out from the supermarket.
6)Lovely terrace /garden on the cafeteria side. ( lunch break recommended).
7) Bakery.
I get lost, how is massive for the London city center.
I always get back with a smile.
Good value from money, you got what you paid for.
J. K.
good aura here, but had a really confusing time with buying some muffins when the barcode on them just wouldn't scan
A. O.
Lovely selection of food, the shop's always tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. Just a pity I can't find Catalan wines 😉
O. Y.
Lovely supermarket with a great range of products, a very helpful staff, and plenty of cash registers (so that even at the height of the shopping day it never takes too long to get out). Would highly recommend.
T.
I have a rare condition that requires me to consume kefir post-curry. This provided me with the soothing kefir that I need and deserve 🍆
R. C.
Probably the nicest supermarket I’ve been to in London. A great selection and even has a bar where they’ll uncork drinks you’ve bought in store for a small fee. There is also a great seating area outside.
J. F.
Busy, nice café and good products
Φ. Τ.
Helpful staff but every time I go there, the section of cereal or spaghetti are almost empty.
G.
I love this place because it's a big Waitrose, has got a coffee place inside, a dining area, and also a wine bar. Very quiet, staff are polite, wines are only a bit pricey but good quality. On top of that, place and staff very clean.
L. S.
This Waitrose is such a shining example of what a supermarket should be. There are wide isles to access everything and the staff are impeccable.
B. T.
A very nice store. Has everything you need. Fresh bread 🥖, fresh food, bine selection and a bar where you cam taste it. Also there is a small cafeteria inside. You can get a coffee or dome food there to eat.
M. K.
So many products of such high quality. All the Waitrose usuals are there: free tea & coffee, tills, trolleys, aisles, cakes, food, packaging, sales, staff and entrances and exits. Can not fault this store
J. J.
I found the store had a great variety of items available. I generally enjoyed shopping here until recently.
I don’t wish to focus too heavily upon the negative aspects but I wish to mention that the only issue I had with this store was the poor customer service provided by the checkout staff.
Other than that, this store was lovely and I would still recommend it to friends, though perhaps not family.
K. N.
Amazing, spacious, new and beautiful Waitrose, to the best of my knowledge the biggest supermarket in the area. Looks modern, has a wine counter and a cooking school. I wish I lived closer!
M. A. M.
This has to be one of the most beautiful supermarkets in the country. With all the usual brilliant Waitrose goods and services and loads of space, cafe and wine bar. Let alone the location. One small grumble: there's all that space yet the Bloomsbury waitrose down still manages more ranges and options (esp on beauty and dry goods). So I end up using both in turn. Maybe that is deliberate - to allow for all thst rare spaciousness But congratulations. A triumph.
R. D.
Beautifully designed new store, plenty of space in the aisles, self checkout at all exits, a cookery school and even a wine bar with jazz on Friday nights. A different kind of shopping experience.
J. E.
A genuinely great supermarket, which is an odd thing to say. Really nice, contemporary space. Coffee shop and a wine bar and a cookery school. As supermarkets go, this one makes an event of the weekly big shop like no other.
C. G.
Excellent customer service. My go to Waitrose with fantastic selection of beers and cheese
Y. M.
Good sized supermarket with great selection of products!
I. G.
Nice but many products were sold out
L. -. S.
Pleasure to shop here, good selection and nicely laid out. What's even more interesting is that they have a cafe serving food and drinks. Any fine that can be found in the shop is available at the bar as well and they even serve cocktails. Large terrace outside.
M. M.
This is about as good as a 'trose gets in central London. There is a fairly large selection and a restaurant as well as a couple of lunch counters. Very useful for grabbing some 🍻when all the bars in the square are rammed in the summer.
n. j.
Very friendly and helpful staff the lady at the meat counter couldn't have been more helpful thank you so much 💖
E. S.
The bar is actually very decent. Lovely beer garden, not too expensive for London, and when we went there was a band playing live. …

Decent size store near the kings cross train station. Most products seems to be available. Rest room facility also available.

The closest I've found to a US-sized grocery store in London. So spacious. Great options and hours. Perfect for after-work runs. AND, there's a cafe and cooking school.
P. H.
Huge place with nice and modern architecture and all the newest technology a supermarket has to offer. Great selection of high quality food and drink in perfect presentation. Prices are on the higher side but so is the quality of everything you get.
K. A.
Beautiful store within the old Victorian station building. Great choice of food. Nice staff. It has a cafe and wine bar area with attractive outside seating area.
M. B.
First of all, location is really convenient. Close to kings cross and st pancras. Selection is amazing. You have about 20 different options of something you came in to get. Definitely worth the trip either for the view outside or just as a convenience store.
D. M.
Great choice of Foods and store very easy pleasant layout, pleasure to shop in
L. H.
Convenient, airy place. Main issue is availability of products regardless or time of day you go; much worse stock management than other closest Waitrose (Clerkenwell, Holborn, even Angel) - esp. veg / fruit
C. G.
Yay, free no-obligation-coffee with your Waitrose card! Plus they have some good quality foods, and they're not always as expensive as some might imagine!
T. F. D.
Can always get bargains if you look around.
Always pleasant experience shopping here.
S. O.
Nice looking store. Not the best selection of items. Management have a bad habit of making themselves busy on their computer screens and standing around in their meetings instead of actually helping customers.
D. I.
Really great store and wonderful staff. Probably one of their best stores in London for sure. They have a good range of everything you could possible need in a well lit, clean and well stocked store.
S. R.
Painfully slow cafe service is a shame as the store, and cafe, are lovely!! We've given up more than once. Peaceful shopping spot though. That's the effect of no parking I guess...
M. S.
Absolutely brilliant supermarket. Airy, big, never too crowded, and great staff. It also has a very pleasant wine bar.
e. t.
Great place to shop clean with knowledgeable staff, I love going there the food is great. Some items a little pricey but overall same prices as other super market's.
m.
this waitrose is just the best. i mean the location and place is just too beautiful! they are big so they have good ranges of products and they also have a wine cafe
F. Z.
Amazing supermarket with everything you can buy in a Waitrose with a bar, winery and coffee shop with live events. Very fast self-checkout machines.
J. O.
Decent size store near the kings cross train station. Most products seems to be available. Rest room facility also available.
P. G.
Great place to shop in a great location. Wide variety. Bakery does cookery lessons for adults and kids. Lots of interesting sights and architecture nearby.
I. S.
Spacious superstore with a lovely cafe & wine bar on-site.
Love their fresh bakery department!
Well stocked and laid out.
J. W.
The cafe give you paper plates and plastic cutlery so I wouldn't recommend this cafe to the usual waitrose clientele, but the staff helpful and a good range products in store
J. K.
Good sized store with an excellent alcohol selection. Good meat and fish counter and they even have a juice bar as well as drinks (beer etc)
N. H.
This is the most fancy Waitrose I ever seen. It includes tapas & wine tasting area, cooking classes and a coffee shop.
A. F.
Great place to visit on your lunch break from work. Varied food and paserities and at a good price.
Very close to kings cross station in London.

S.
My favourite supermarket. Tends to be a little more expensive but has a wonderful choice of free range, organic, 'free from' and international and more local produce and groceries.
C. B.
Very wheelchair accessible and staff masked, offered help several times.
R. P.
Big Waitrose! Great to grab food and drink and sit outside enjoying London life with students, couples, friends and families around granary square.
S. H.
This is a big waitrose. It also hosts cooking classes off to one side, and has a large variety of products. Pleasant location near grainary square.
C. C.
A bit picked over but one of the better Waitrose
J. M. G.
Good store but beware as they don't stock everything and some meat/fish etc can be short date
J. W.
Fantastic.. Excellent selection, staff are of a high standard , great wine bar and a cookery school as well. Great addition to the area
L. O.
Love to get groceries from here. The huge plus is the amount of variety. In addition, this branch in particular has fresh JUICES!!!
C. C.
Huge supermarket with great selection! Haves also a wine bar where you can taste wines and a cafe where you can eat or drink a coffee.
I. B.
A large variety of goods and organic products can be found here. Friendly, highly professional staff. Great location.

Best waitrose in the country. Gorgeous and great supplies. Love the self check out machines.
A. D.
Champagne bar with seats outside is lovely, the tapas is great, very nice with good portion size and decent value for money.
a. g.
Prosecco Italia Waitrose VS Prosecco M&S - I love them both but in my opinions the Waitrose Prosecco is the magic on the pallet - Cheers; )
P. H.
Very spacious with a nice Cafe area, plenty of push bike parking. Not suitable for cars.
M. S.
A glorious, big, new style Waitrose. Includes a cookery school, coffee bar / cafe and wine bar as well.
J. K.
This Waitrose is reasonably large, but I am left with the impression that the choice is a bit limited taking into account the store's size.
F. M.
Not enough products on the shelf
B. H.
Best supermarket I've ever been to. It has its own bar! Enough said.
S. R.
My local.
T. S.
Big supermarket with large selection and good offers. Fresh food seems of good quality.
C. G.
Good range of products and has a cafe, wine bar and live jazz on Thursday nights. Closes early.

More vanity project than function.

Perhaps convert to hot food counter instead...?
P. D.
Lovely Waitrose, different from there usual stores in this fab heritage building.
j. m.
So fancy! Amazing choice, loads to inspire and plenty of space to stop for a coffee and a whizz through the paper.

C. Y.
Really well stocked Waitrose with wine bar and the Waitrose cooking school.
V. V.
It's a bit too small. Doesn't have much variety of ready to eat food. No coffee.
V. D.
Overall a good experience but they seem to have a problem keeping their shelves stocked.

If you're looking for specific shopping list here is the place. It's expensive though for everyday grosseray
