Good speedy service. Friendly staff. They had everything I needed. My only gripe, not specific to this store though, is the general lack of meal deal offers on sandwiches and crisps.

Waitrose does the best value for money cat litter. There was none in stock yesterday, so I made do with cake. This did not help the cat. I got exactly what I needed today and the chap on the till who served me was a real sweetheart.

This is the best Waitrose Branch! On a par with Bloomsbury and Hove I would say. I love the Sushi - love the Craster Kippers and the Herring milts in the fishmongers + Belgian beers, fine wines and dozens of spirits and many other unusual drinks + all the other normal quality produce and a shed load of chocolates and other treats. What's not to love?!!

A Great 'Fishy' Day at Waitrose today, Wednesday. Friday mornings is maybe the best time, and you get discount. Surprised to find the fresh fish counter fully stocked. Today I liked: - Rainbow Trout (Tasty grilled, steamed, or delicious fish curry. Scales are small but must be removed or you will choke. Ask them to remove scales EVEN if they say there are no scales! Keep head on. Ask to take guts out and clean. Ask to cut fins off.). - Mackerel ( Tasty fried or delicious fish curry. Not much bones. No scales. Keep head on. Ask to cut fins off.). - Ray Wings. (No bones except edible cartilage. Delicious fried or as a curry). There was also fresh cod slices. So much you can do with it. Tasty. A lady bought several Dover fish, left one behind. There was Sea Bass, but careful does have small bones especially at the side. Good On Friday there is always a fresh fish discount, maybe 20%. Got some whole milk. Sad, Waitrose card no longer gives any discounts on your favourite items. Good. Spend over £10 and you get a free newspaper from a specific good selection. This £10 total includes your shopping and the newspaper. Nice. Today, I didn't bother with a free paper. (Remember, London's Evening Standard is free, as are some other local papers supposedly.). Negative: the staff sometimes show no interest to scale the fish when asked, and say the fish have already been scaled. Not true as I used to always find scales. You have to insist on them making sure scales are removed else it could be fatal for you when you eat it. Bad. Today I heard the staff quietly grumble as I requested them to cut the fish fins. The fish is for a lady who is disabled. The staff should be more welcoming, smiling, friendly and engaging, understanding; and not sad, annoyed faced, and grumbling. Car Park. Nice car park shared with Boots. 1 ½ hours max stay irrespective of whether shopping at Boots or Waitrose. Car park has Disabled bays, wide bays, family kids bays.

Well spaced out which is important with Covid around . Definitely the best supermarket for wine selection and the deli counter remains open. Quite a few things out of stock however.

Very good quality produce but very overpriced. Checkout staff and shelf stockers are very nice and friendly but supervisors/managers are very snippy when challenged on their pricing system. That said, I wish I could afford to buy all my weekly shop there including their £4 asparagus.
