Reviews of Whitechapel Market
I definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. I visited around 4.30 on a Friday afternoon and it was very much completely open, packed with traders unlike some markets that pack up early after lunch. Definitely felt a nice atmosphere and will go back soon to spend longer and have something to eat at one of the many different quizines eateries that bombard your sense of smell as you walk through.
Proper Bangladeshi community market. Lovely area. They have specialist fresh fish and vegetables all the way from Bangladesh. Can't beat the flavour of these products.
Whitechapel Market, 199-337 Whitechapel Road, East London - Street Markets near Whitechapel Tube Station. Whitechapel Market is a long-established historic London outdoor street market managed by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets which is centered on the A11. The lively Whitechapel Market sells every speciality Asian ingredient you'll ever need. It's also well stocked with fruit and vegetables, seafood and clothes.
Market is good for buying any kind of Asian foods specially bengali foods.. it is cheaper than other parts of London... Dessert collections are really good
Good place to shop for South Asian goods. You will find many South Asian restaurants, Sweet shops, groceries, fish shops etc.
The road side market has clothes stalls, South Asian fruit and vegetable stalls, Jewellery stalls etc.
The market is just 2 station away from Tower Bridge tube station.
You will find everything you need. Also, you can find Bengali stuff and food. It's fun if you are not judgemental
Old Street market selling food products , clothes, carpets and household products
It was quite sad really to see what has happened to the east end. I preferred it in the 80s when it was proper east end.
Where there was proper fish and chip cafes. And Cathy's cafs where you could have proper east end food. I don't think I will go there again. Very 😔
I didn't see the whole market but there were plenty of food stalls. You will be offered plenty of tasters. I would recommend not to get food at the first stall you come across and check out the stalls before buying. There is an seating place to eat your food. Also there are plenty of halaal stalls as well as a vegan stall.
Fresh and affordable fruit and veg ftom all over the World. Varieties in different shops from fairly used electronics to new ones. Whitechapel, an upcoming gentrified multi-cultural London Borough, next to the City of London.
This is a market on whitechapel high street near the train station. They sell a mixture of food, clothes, antique items and much more.
Whitechapel Market has a variety of shops and stalls. The shops are a mixture of major chains and independent stores. I visited CEX recently and the store was clean and items are well displayed. The staff members are polite and friendly. They sell games consoles, games, tablets, phones and accessories. Plus loads more tech stuff. They offer the facility to buy your old games, consoles, phones and other tech items for cash or in store credit.
lots of fruit veg stalls lots of nice clothes shops but only maybe 4 asian clothes shop lots of food to eat here
Best place to get cheap fruit and veg. If you get distracted on your way to Sainsbury's, then you've saved yourself some money
Good original market. Plenty of ladies clothing and veg stalls. Good mix of general and food shops alongside it also.
Very deticated and Expert Education Adviser. They have lots of Reputed Universitt in The UK. They Helping people to Admission UK University.
Some very good deals to be had here. Plus there's lots of little independent shops stocking unique gifts you won't find anywhere else.
It's a good place to get all the Bangladeshi product. From the street food to clothing all available.

Vibrant market full of fresh vegetables, Bangladeshi food, eating places as well as stalls full of clothes, scarves etc. Price is very reasonable and there was so many options.
No car parking but can park car side road. Clothes, Vegetables, watch repair shops etc
They have a lot of modest clothing for muslims women. They also have good and variety of fresh vegetables and sea food. One of my fav place to shop for hijabs
Great market.. Lots of good things items at good cheap prices.. Thumbs up 👍
Amazing park and really quiet even when busy great kids park lots to do and lots of trails to follow
If you're after some authentic Asian/Bangladeshi foods then good place to come.
"Excellent place for street shopping, fruit and veg !"
Nice place for shopping for Bangladeshi veg and eating bangali food feel like you are in Bangladesh
Love Whitechapel! I went to the watch repair stall to replace my battery. Great price and fast service...
Came for some brioche rolls, left with a pair of y fronts and 3 tubes of Colgate. These cheeky beggars could sell ice to the eskimos. No complaints
Good for Bangladeshi food and grocery, loads of shops and restaurants but the overall environment is not good.
As I strolled down Whitechapel market on a busy Monday afternoon trying to get on with my routine. I came across this beautiful sky and I had to stop and admire as well as capture the moment. Whilst everyone gets on with their stressed filled lives, really and truly we should take a minute to appreciate our world. Share this moment with me..
Nice market, fruit, fish, Islamic clothing, prayer mats.
Nice small market
Pricing for the clothing stalls in Whitechapel market is more better than Watney Market.
The market is too crowded at times with no social distancing maintained! Not to mention the public themselves don't seem bothered about social distancing.
Love this place always get what u need. Always go for my hijabs. However the was lower par.
My home market since i was a kid been coming here still here
Thriving Street market, plenty of Indian food and clothes shops
Loads of great and cheap veg shop

Best for street food and cloth
So many options for shopping but too much crowded

Nice market could be more organized but really cheap fruits and vegetables
Very rich in choices and and very multicultural and pleasant place to visit with its ri h history, its very easily accessible as its right next to the main underground and overground station plus the bus stops, and main hospital the Royal London hospital.
Good bargains. Would benefit public loos for those who have travelled from out of town. Better variety of stalls?
Nice fresh fruit every day price it's good need the see it
Not much to say about Whitechapel, it's not somewhere that I enjoy going to. It's a dirty place. Having said that, fruit and vegetables are very cheap.
Very good, fresh fruit and good thing for Muslim.
Bustling whitechaple, perfect for the Bengali Asian community, selling a range of fruits and veg as well as clothing. Went to a few stores to purchase home wearing clothes such as maxi's which ranged from £5 to £20 and islamic head scarfs prices i purchased for was 5 scarfs for £10. Where as normal stores would expect to spend much more without the quality. So managed to pick a couple things out well worth crossing the bridge for.
Need proper tent for sellers.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in Bangladesh when I arrived in Whitechapel. And I called these places by developed Bangladesh 😁
Cheap but not good quality
I used to enjoy my visit of the market before. However, lately it hasn't been so. Prices of things like Cosmetic jewellery and garments have risen a lot. The quantity of vegetables or fruit per £1 bowl has reduced. Even in the shops with basic asian food comodities have put up prices. However, if you have got some good time at hand, then finding some bargain pieces is still possible. I found some nice scarves. The stitching of clothing with apparently compatible with high street stores have got seriously loose stitching.I bought a fluffy jumper but the stitches gave away with the first wear. There is however a shoes stall where you can find Clarks shoes at lower prices. The attitude of the stall owner is extremely friendly.
Food is available at fairly(not much) cheaper. The station, Royal London Hospital, the Library and bus routes are at a few yards from each other. Stepney Green Retail stores are at walking distance...so always an opportunity to make the most of your day.
Good place to get fresh fruit and veg, so amazing to see fruit and veg i have never seen before but tastes amazing, defo would recommend
A good walking distance from any vacation stay in east or central London. Lots of convenient groceries with a nearby supermarkets (Sainsbury and Argos). Loved it!
It's a great place to walk my dog.
Good selection of pashmina and places to eat.
15 minutes walk from mine, so hardly visit it but do go sometimes. Has most items on stalls which I like. Big Sainsbury's too.
Lots of bengali shops and restaurants.
Not fresh vegetables & meats
Great fresh vegetables

Lots to choose from, great market. Only downside is to find parking.
Good place for shopping with cheaper prices
Very good and variety of products available including fruit and vegetables and accessories. How ever no social distancing or facecovering.
Old Fashion East End Market, not many remaining.
I shop for kitchen accessories and clothing. It's also a busy place. So you might find whatever you looking for,
