Reviews of Co-op Food - Ancoats - Blossom Street

A great shop and even better staff! I often go into the coop at Ancoats when out and about in the city centre. Every time I’ve been in, I’ve been greeted with well-stocked shelves and helpful staff who have no problem helping find products, moving any queues through quickly and, during the lockdown situations, controlling customer numbers and enforcing social distancing rules without fault. I also think the modern look to the store and sleek concrete floors make the shopping experience that little bit better - even applying the same industrial décor to my flat after liking it so much. All-in-all, a great shop with everything you could need for a city centre store!
Edit**
Stores still great, would shop again

Great store. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Loving the discounts, and the way the are enforcing social distancing is really good. Would be nice if you got some cheese sandwiches in, I love 'em!
P.S The blonde girl with the glasses who works there is really fit!

My go to shop on my lunch break, the stock levels are always excellent with lots to choose from. The staff are always friendly & happy to help. Excellent self-service system to speed up queuing. Feel very safe in the environment throughout these covid times. Would highly recommend shopping here.

This store does have a good selection of food in not a large space. I always get what I need if I am just topping up my weekly shop. They also have a decent reduced section in the evening which is always a bonus.

Well located in Ancoats, have a good range of options despite the size of the premises, polite, friendly and professional staff.

Small co-op, can be hit and miss with shelves often empty but cages of food to go on them hanging around the Isles with no staff around stacking them 🤔 but handy enough so won't be avoiding just think they need to get it much more organised it's very busy given the 500+ flats literally on its doorstep (it has 200 literally above it) it needs a higher staffing number to keep the shelves stacked cages out of Isles as you have to move customers to move cages so it's just disorganised and needs a better manager to get things sorted!

Really friendly and accommodating staff. They had ran out of the chocolate crossaints so they put in some fresh ones in the oven just for me. They were really yummy ☺️

It's a co-op. It's covid-safe, has a friendly dude on the door and you need to wear a mask. Usually well stocked but can be a bit pricey if you don't go for the offers.

Cold beers from the fridge. Cold bottle of Prosecco from the fridge. What more do you need to sit out in the square with. Better than paying £6 for a warm pint of beer served in a plastic glass from the over rated bars in the square. The co-op do plenty of meal deals when you're hunger. Good medium sized shop. Everything you need.

Excellent Co-Op with a Fresh bakery attached. Has the usual list of things as in any co-op. Well stocked in spite of the current shortages. Friendly staff. Welcome back to Ancoats which is fiercely independent right now, bu the coop should be a welcome edition.
