Although I agree that NUS cards are useful for the discount (which is 10%) the inconsistency of the NUS cards on the machine has been a real issue for me.
Additionally, the selection of fruit and vegetables could be more varied and the prices are awfully dear - only useful for the occasional buy.
T. W.As the saying goes, the co-op is 'good with food'. I couldn't disagree more. With frankly embarrassing prices all round, this is clearly an attempt to exploit local students of the RNCM, University of Manchester and Manchester metropolitan university. Set up to entice impressionable and thus vulnerable youth, comfort food and alcohol are the most prominent options. Slightly ashamed to admit that I have personally succumbed to the temptation, but have resolutely decided to improve my life choices.
On the other hand they have great granola pots, which form a crucial component in any worthy meal deal, I'm a big fan! I know what I'll be pigging out on for Valentine's Day hahahahahahah!!!!
W. M.With a 10% student discount and a Co-op card, shopping here is definitely a good option. A nice range of meal deals, snacks and toiletries — it's good for small shopping.
