Reviews of Iceland Supermarket Droylsden

Shop looked faced up well considering the time ,however poor queue management which was reactive rather than proactive. The queue was allowed to build up to 7 behind me before the bell went. 2 of the 4 checkouts were overcrowded with stock purposely and it looked a bit much like the small drinks chiller was in one of the checkout lanes instead of in between where its supposed to go and the other just had home delivery crates stacked up blocking it. This gives off the impression that they don't intend to ever have 2 of the 4 checkouts on probably because of tight labor budgets. Secondly it also looks a bit of a jumble and makes it seem smaller. All in all the intentions are probably right to try and push sales and commercially that makes sense but it does impact on the customer journey. To summarise great focus on the main shop floor and good standards, not enough on the front end/customer.

Good variety and 10% off for over 60's on Tuesday

Everything you need to fill your freezer. The selection of frozen foods also seems more diverse and interesting these days so well done to Iceland Foods buyers! Also fresh food such as meat and vegetables. Soft drinks, alcohol, confectionery. The aisles are narrow but that makes sense in an age where floor space is wasted space.
A lot of quality products at reasonable prices.

One of the better Iceland stores. Promotions galore.

Iceland has done a good job of tidying up their brand over the last few years. Partnering with brand names like TGIs, Gregg's and Harry Ramsden (amongst others) helps in this respect. The freezer contents are now laid out in a logical manner which makes it easy to shop for what you want, and they're doing better at expanding their non-frozen range, though I still think you'd struggle to depend purely on Iceland for a full household shop.
