A store with a great range of goods! Worth a visit if you want to find something of a similar price but different from what your closest store offers. Everyone needs a change from the usual now and then 🙂👍🏽
P.
Just popped in for a couple of things queues galore but bought two boxes of Poretti as they were 2 boxes for £20. After checkout what I paid seemed excessive on checking they had conveniently NOT cut the price on Porreti but charged full price. So £10 more. Customer services checked and we got money back. But how often are they doing this ?
S. S.
Morrison is love. It's way better than other competitor supermarkets. I can get every kind of items from here at reasonable price. Staffs are really good. Only problem is can't find that black color roller basket. Most of the time I buy items for which I don't need that bigger trolly and carrying small basket is heavy work so that roller basket was perfect. I asked at the store and they said those has been stolen. Huhh!! How people can steal these kind of thing also!!
R. S.
Excellent choice of fresh fruit and veg. Well stocked deli. Hot chicken etc available if that's your thing as well as fresh bakery, fishmonger and in-store butcher. They stock some stuff you can't get easily elsewhere.
Filling station on site. Friendly, helpful staff throughout.
T. P.
Almost everything you need you will find here...Even world foods section had almost all my home food groceries
A. k.
Great grocery shopping experience, with offers available and very economical. Sea food and meat sections are too good. For indians most spices and rice and other food items are easly available.
c. m.
A very big supermarket, but has very less authentic spices. Apart from that good ambience and foods are fresh.
B. V.
Quite big and have lots of varieties in different section. Morrisons is quite famous for the liquor deals. Visit their liquor section for grabbing good deals on wines, whisky, gin. Etc. They also have dedicated section for world food like Asian, Caribbean, Mexico.
Prices are very competitive. Worth buying from here. In Summer you can find outdoor shopping stuff like furniture from Nutmeg, barbecues, gardening equipments.
W. J.
Been re-arranged a little , bit better look than before, but i only use it because its one of the only stockists of my favourite ale , Caffeys.
D. O.
Often a good place to buy good quality stuff at very reasonable prices. Sometimes has stock issues though.
C. B.
Good store but a lot of things are often off sale
A. W.
Great shop always has been plenty of bargain's great choice
K. T.
Most of the staff are friendly.
Staff will be as helpful as possible .
M. D.
Handy place to get your weekly/daily shop. Staff always friendly and helpful, something i like about this place.
M. N.
Morrison’s is very clean supermarket but the products are more expensive than other supermarkets.
K. B.
This store has had money spent on it and not before time. You cannot get moved for on line shopper pickers and their carts also delivery drivers using parent and child and disabled parking spaces.
A. P.
Affordable shopping mall. U can get your local foodstuffs and vegetables here
D. B.
Has items that are harder to find in other supermarkets, good deli section and fresh produce.
m. j.
Was in the cafe yesterday with my grandchildren and the lady who brought our food was a lady called Joy, who deserved her name. She was so pleasant and friendly. When I mentioned her at customer services they told me that everyone loves her. Her husband is the security guy and I told him what a lovely wife he had he grinned and said I know. The couple are a credit to Morrisons
R. C.
Staff are always happy to help. Lots of parking and wheelchair accessable.
D. M.
Don't feel safe in the car park on a night shop, no lights and people sitting around cash point machine
S. P.
I had 2 cups of black coffee. First cup £1.65 - second cup £1.75!!! When I challenged it she says "it's all the same". Well obviously not as she charged me for a milky coffee. If you do that with every customer a) it's a heck of a profit and b) you're not going to have many customers left. Coffee was nice though.
M. K.
All shelves fully stocked and quick service with a smile
D. O.
A good place to get food shopping and cafe shenanigans.
C. P.
It is pretty much the only shop I go to, I can get near enough everything I need in one go & because I am Disabled that helps me so much.
The only down side is I have to use the Electric Disability Shopping Cart to go around the store & because there is only two they are usually being used & I have to wait or struggle around in pain, I wish there was more of them but I'm sure they are very expensive too.
Oh & they have stopped selling my Favourite Drink Strawberry Crusher milk shake, i have to go to another shop for that. Apart from those two issues it is my favourite shopping centre of all time, if there is a better one I'd like to know about it...?
J. Y.
Competitive price but sometimes stock not available.
c. s.
Large variety of items at affordable costs. Keeps changing departments.., hard to remember item places. Staff will help us anyway. Good to go , compare and buy.
E. T.
Very good efficient and helpful staff and I got all I needed.
S. E.
Nice car park, always lots of space. I find it easy to walk around the store. Large range of goods on offer, at reasonable prices. I would recommend this store, to anyone who would like to buy some food to eat on the day, or to store for later consumption.
S. R.
We were there around 5 on Monday evening and shop was fairly quiet with quiet tills and low traffic through self service tills. No problems getting all we needed, so all in all a satisfactory experience.
H.
It's a decent sized morries and well stocked. The down sides are a) they sell a lot of independent international foods taking business away from the small international speciality stores on shields road and undoubtedly undercuts them. 2) it wouldn't be byker morrisons without some sort of chav drama. I've seen the staff have to endure some abuse and they're not paid enough for it. It makes for an interesting shopping trip though. Toiletscare clean, cafe is as good as they all are and there's plenty variety.
d. f.
Canny supermarket very helpful staff reasonably priced
R. B.
The food selection is varied, the only criticism would be the lack of a savers/budget range. The staff are excellent, always happy to help & have to deal with a lot given the location.
R. C.
I have sed before grate supermarket put I won't be shopping there anymore because of the smackheads out side the shop and people asking you for money it puts you off shopping
l. a.
Good quality products and place to buy halal meat ...
E. S.
The price of food good god help me I'm starving
J. Y.
The fresh meat as ever at Morrisons can be trusted to be excellent. This is the primary reason we go there. The 'world foods' have an excellent range. The fresh and frozen seafood is excellent in range and quality.
In recent times, the veggie and vegan food selection has expanded to meet the needs of the people in the area. I live in Gosforth and there are lots of shoppers from Heaton and Sandyford as well as obviously Byker.
The café is also well worth a visit. Overall, in my opinion the range and quality of produce is much better than Asda,Tesco, and M&S Food and lot cheaper and wider range than Waitrose.
G.
Well stocked with a variety of items.
N. A.
By far my favourite grocer I've found out in the UK. The fish and meat counter is everything I'd expect and has the items I love to buy (lamb, whole duck, whole fresh fish). I walk 30 minutes to shop here.
s. s.
Lookout for Steve the Seagull who hangs about the carpark waiting to steal shopping. He is hilarious. Smaller shop but the range is still good. Staff helpful. Lovely lady ( think her name is Lynn) on the checkouts.
Great range of wraps and naan breads. Always clean, well stocked.
C. Y.
Realy friendly staff. Always willing to help if you need ther help in location items or prices. Helpful with scanning and packing for us . The cafe is nice place to either have a coffee or something hot food at good prices
d. s.
Ok selection only saving grace staff are good, the addition of clothes earned it an extra star for children's clothes but being a ladies size 6 all your clothes are too big 👎
M. R.
Best car park. It has cashpoints and still has7 staffed check-outs. It could do with more scales in the produce department.
Staff are variety and helpful.
A. M.
Been there this morning 9.45-1 with the NHS vaccination bus. Had lunch at morrisons, nice food choice, quick service.
Operates strict covid safe policy. Like the wide variety of food available for shoppers.
G. R.
Sells food. Always seems really busy.
More amazon shoppers than physical customers.
M. P.
Stopped in for breakfast which was very nice and reasonably priced before going home to Edinburgh then did some shopping. Got some bargains
M. P.
Lovely store with plenty of parking spaces. Some really helpful staff members. You can get lots of Indian groceries and snacks as well.
J. C.
Good size store, unfortunately they are out of stock week in week out,not sure what's going on.poor morrisons this one.
o. p.
Good place to find lots of stuff. Good price too
s. b.
I think morrisons have very good meat & a good selection of produce..however when they reduce yellow stickers there is a frenzy!.every one loves a yellow sticker bargain BUT a pakistani lady &a chinese lady take the lot...byker morrisons is in a very poor area &the ladies in question one has a takeaway and the pakistani lady her son has a shop.....it is absalute greed !! The asian lady has been bared twice but nothing stops her !! Lets do something about it please &either donate yellow stickers foods to food banks or stop greedy people taking the lions share.
P. L.
A supermarket with friendly and helpful staff. Great range of produce. It has an in store cafe with great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of parking along with wheelchair access. Petrol station on site. Plenty of public transport buses that literally stop right outside the store. Easy access to get into Newcastle city centre which is only 5 minutes away on the bus or a 30 minute stroll. Byker Metro station is only a few minutes walk away. The store has public restrooms inside. The store is always spotlessly clean. Great offers and always value for money.
Q. F.
Morrisons is great! Also with the Amazon connection it is awesome.
S. W.
Ok bit to many amazon shopping going on and blocking ailes
S. B.
They had literally everything that I needed.
Tesco and Sainsbury outlets near my place didn't even have essential items like bread, milk and sausages when I went there.
C. S.
It's a supermarket, what more can you say
A. V.
Good place for shopping. A variety of products
E. M.
Clean, spacious environment, friendly and helpful staff. Quick check out. Quality children's clothes at reasonable prizes! Thanks for not playing Xmas songs yet!
M. E.
As ever, a wide range of goods at good prices. Always impressed with the meat and butchery counter. Keep up the good work.
W. S.
My favourite big supermarket. Good fruit and veg selection. Big world foods section due to the high number of overseas students living nearby. Great choice. Great prices. Pick n mix rolls are amazing!
S. E.
Nice shop everything need is there staff are well organized ok
M. A.
Normally the staff are so friendly here. But today I hot served by a complete misery. No please. No thank you and no manners. Nit what I'm used to at all. That is why I have still given the store 4 stars.
M. C.
Very good shop being going there since it was built as used to live on the site where the supermarket stands polite staff always helpful busy place and they need to be recognized for the hard work during lockdown
G. S.
Busy .Cafe is busy and the choices are there for everybody to enjoy.new menu's. New prices.
R. B.
I like this morrisons at byker it's like the old type layout I used to like
D. W.
Really like this shop, i travel from Gateshead because the Smoked Salmon meal deal is the best value i have ever had and they do not seem to do them in the other Morrisons shops. Try them next time if they have any left - you get a fillet of smoked salmon, spinach, potatoes and beetroot for £3 plus you can choose a side and a drink for £3.
E. B.
It is quite spacious, lots of parking, choice of produce good, sanitizer available, cafe well organised, but there were a lot of customers not wearing masks mainly women even though there were signs up.
G. M.
I like Morrissons and would recommend it to everybody.
J. O.
The checkout staff are always so friendly and welcoming.
T. S. M.
Handy local shop when you run out of the odd bits and bobs.
N. S. (. I.
This is one of the best Morrisons I've been in. Has everything. Nice sized free car park too.
L. H.
Went to Morrisons but had to leave without shopping because both motability scooters were out of charge and nobody had plugged them in.
E. T. F.
Good shop but a bit expensive
L. P.
Staff o shop floor very helpful although the attitude of the staff member on the kiosk was a completely different matter. She was extremely rude to the customer ahead of me and totally unhelpful.
A. B.
Morrisons, have done well during the last 12 months of uncertainty. However people still feel the need to panic buy and there is no reason to do so. Supermarkets have consistently said there is no problem with supply. So why panic buy? WW2 bunker mentality, or selfishness!
G.
A bit busy for me i lost my friend and could not find him hisvnamecwas wally
d. b.
Morrisons Byker or anywhere in the country is forvme the best place to do shopping fast without wasting time. I personally love their range of products with reduced prices , their points system that can easily be converted fast in cash to spend on further shopping. You do not get a great shopping experiebce until you have been to Morrisons!
P. C.
Really convenient location. A lot of parking spaces next to the supermarket. Great variety of products including a bakery a fish stand and a butcher's. Great quality and service. If you are visiting the fuel is really cheap. Easily accessible by Newcastle and Gateshead
A. I.
I love it, very well organized shelves
I. H.
LOVED THIS PLACE, MUSTARD POWDER.
L. D.
Nicely laid out supermarket, well stocked and with friendly staff. Often discounts to be found (early morning, early afternoon and mid-evening), but gluten free range is a bit limited. Nice range of world foods, influenced by local community, and great for finding new ingredients.
C.
Great all-round supermarket, with a good international range. I also love their fresh fish section and bakery - great quality. The rotisserie section has noticeably shrunk recently & that's a shame, as their roast belly pork is sorely missed in this household...
W. H.
Has a good selection of everything!
k. r.
Seemed busier today...staff controlling flow of customers, but I felt a little hemmed in. Self service tills very busy and had difficulty using two of the tills...usually problem free. Staff member on her own there...felt sorry for her. We have shopped at Morrisons Birtly throughout lockdown and since. Cannot speak too highly of staff and their organisation, thank you all
M. N.
One of the best Supermarket in Newcastle.
Thier prices are really good and they got a variety of products, in my opinion what makes it the best is that they provide food for all people.
Very wide selection of ready meals such as vegan food, Chicken and beef, sea food. also they’ve got the easy cook pizza and pastas.
Which makes them stand as superior is that they also provide not cooked Halal chicken and beef which make them the only supermarket to offer Halal meats in Newcastle city.
L. P.
Best for fish and meat.
C. D.
Trying out a new supermarket is always frustrating until you get used to the layout. It always takes a few visits but now I am comfortable shopping here and have grown to prefer it to many other supermarkets. The main attraction for me is the fresh fish, and the other fresh produce such as fruit and veg. The quality is always good and the prices ok.
D. M.
Where i go for all my shopping. We know all the staff in Byker branch truly friendly and very helpful. Love prices too brilliant.
C. T.
Morrisons is just morrisons, except at the moment it's £16.99 for a ltr of Jack Daniels lol
T. M.
seemed like an ok place to shop. large selection of goods to choose from including world foods. there is also a coffee to go machine as well as a sit down cafe. they also sell childrens clothes and have a decent sized car park. opening times are until 10pm weekdays as well. would recommend.
F. S.
A bit overpriced, but it is a reasonably sized supermarket with decent amount of choice. The location is pretty good too and free parking.
I would recommend to make the trip to Asda Byker instead if you can though; it's cheaper, bigger and has more choice.
S. H.
Food in the cafe was lovely .. I had the southern fried chicken burger and you could tell it was really fresh... and my partner had the beef burger with bacon and he finished it all and loved every bit of it and the chips we got were really nice... the milkshake is a nice thick milkshake (just the way it should be) and the slush was lovely... Will be going back!
P. R.
I love morrisons a great shopping experience nobody bothers ,though that's not to say there's no staff help available because there is but they let you loose on the shopping mall , hesven help them , no really even a man would say yep it was no fuss and quite relaxing !
W. Y.
A little distance, relatively remote, but the price is very cheap, things are also very complete.
P. L.
Lovely store. Great staff. Helpful and friendly. Public restrooms. Social distancing adhered to along with all staff required to wear face masks.
S. B.
Nice bright store security personnel vizable floor marked out re covid19. Most disappointing my experience within the café could have been better member of staff more concerned about my filling test and track form than attending to our needs. I DO NOT think that if I have scanned the NHS barcode that I should then give my personal information to all and insundry either one or the other should be sufficient. If you insist on completing a form there should be a box that you can place the form. Morrisons cannot guarantee that my information is secure very unhappy
A. B.
Amazing range of groceries. Most tastes catered for. I've shopped at Morrison's since the 80's and I can't fault them. Loving the "Wonky" range. Well done Morrison's and keep up the good work. I'd just like to add, most of the staff will bend over backwards to help you. Well done Morrison's👍
t. 3.
Good fresh meat range. Large store with extensive merchandise.
A. B.
My supermarket of choice every time, even if it is only for a small shop. It offers a good selection of food as well as household items, stationery, electronics, medicines and everything else you might need. The More points are an added bonus as they convert into money off vouchers that could be used towards your next shop. Top marks 😉
M. C.
Nice cafe and I enjoy the fresh food and pasta/salad counters too.
m. K.
Decent selection of products including foreign foods. Now has a section selling clothing. I buy from the salad bar often as it's convenient for lunch. ATMs just outside. Petrol station as well is usually competitively priced.
N. B.
Morrisons is a good supermarket for cheaper prices. Whereas if you shop at places like Asda, you may spend less money if you go in for a weekly shop, but if you enter morrisons to buy a limited amount of specific things, you may save some money.
As a local to this supermarket, one thing I find quite annoying about this place is that they keep reorganizing the shop floor, so that customers who are used to the old layout have to find things again.
The shop offers a variety of services, such as a fishmonger, bakery, hot food, a cafe, etc. Which adds to how successful the shop is.
The shop has it's fair share of mistakes and health and safety issues, but once noticed, the shop is quick to rectify them. For example, ornaments falling on people, things spilling on the floor etc.
For a large supermarket, the toilets are kept impressively clean, which shows the managers are good at spotting problems and being able to fix them.
Overall, you'll find me in this shop over places like Asda, Sainsbury's, and Tesco!
M. M.
Convenient place with huge parking mainly for parents with kids.
M. N.
Well arranged seafood, meat and home food supplies. Follows COVID guidelines. Busy shopping area but with available almost home and food supplies.
L. M.
Good parking, friendly staff and very good bakery and fresh fruit and veg section. Also a nice deli counter and selection of sausages, chicken and wedges. Not as upmarket as Sainsburys and the isles are a bit narrower but every is clean and well layed out. There is also a world food section which has some interesting produce and also a selection of clothing.
There is also a money exchange counter, restaurant and news agents.
Just 4 stars as i think the tiolets are bit tired looking
V. B.
We were able to find everything that we needed within the Store. The store staff have everything in place to keep staff and customers safe during this time.
R. C.
Nothing quite compares to a cheeky browse round this rather thrilling store! As a newly converted Morrisons shopper, nothing gives me more of a buzz than speeding my way around dodging trolley turtles to make it to those rather splendid deals- especially on donuts yum!
Cheers morrisons for being a pure gem and the staff on the till for pure banter! Special shout out to those heroic ladies at the cafe who put up with a lot to deliver such a banging scone and coffee.
Love ya!
J. C.
No baskets at all at the entrance which wasn't ideal as I'd only popped in for a couple of things. The lady on the checkout was friendly and helpful.
G. A.
Wide aisles, good variety of food, often is well presented
N. P. K. U.
Wide range of product stock, great prices over all good store only sad thing is they don’t have a store in or around the city center!
A. C.
Been here..they have the variety of collection..best supermarket in UK.Price is also reasonable..Butcher section is amazing, you can ask them to cut the meat as per your choice.. Spirit or wine prices are bit hire if you compare with Asda or Lidl. Overall satisfactory.
J. G.
Spacious,fresh produce,stock replenished constantly,some staff are freindly.
A. N.
We only went to Morrison's cafe because Weatherspoons were not serving food sure to some work the were having done. We had the best jacket potatoes we have had in a long time. As we don't drink alcohol during the day we will be giving the pub a miss and returning to Morrison's. Hopefully this wasn't a one off.
G. M.
Great choice of food
c. s.
Big store well stoked big car park
Plus other things in store bakery .
Fishmonger. Butcher great store
Worth a visit ..
S. H.
Went to Morrison's for breakfast at their cafe. Extremely helpful staff who try their very best to accommodate people's needs. I went for a vegetarian breakfast and they were happy to give me another egg instead of mushrooms for the same price. Unfortunately when the breakfast came it was a bit tasteless. The quorn sausage was a little undercooked and the hash browns were extremely tasteless despite lashings of brown sauce. On top of that when you enter the cafe the only newspaper that is there to view and read is the Sun which I personally object to!
S. b.
They will keep the reduced products at 7:20 pm everyday. Now you got the timing, then you should prepare for the hunt, becoz your up against experienced hunters (old people).
F. A.
Very nice, large shopping mall, lots of parking spaces, good organization, self paying service, fast tills. Good products and lots of variety. One of the best places I've been
R. G.
Good place to buy daily stuff. World food section is great. Competitive prices
R. C. H.
Nothing much to say so many around, Staff helpful good prices normally quiet on a morning good for peaceful shopping.
C. H.
Sketchy charvas, beggers, and radge staff. Classic byker Morrisons. Staff are mostly very nice and prices aren't bad.
S. P.
No sense . The layout is senseless . Traffic goes right but security making people go left so people dont wait and go the wrong way . And then to have everyone in one trolley aisle like sardines is plain daft.
a. g.
Good products overall. Inside the shop things are well presented. The outside is more of a different world with people asking for help.
M. S.
It's a affordable supermarket store. It's bigger and lot of food products and kitchen essentials are available here. Prices are cheap compared to others but still not every product category is that low in price. For instance, breads are cheaper here but not in tesco. Meat is cheaper in tesco and not in morrisons. Overall a great place to buy groceries and other essentials.
#morrisons #supermarket #newcastleupontyne
S.
Wide range of mid range - expensive goods
Quite affordable for me.
Their selection of bread can be improved. Like perhaps more breads with fillings maybe
D. W.
Not as good a selection of Rum, a few brands and flavours out of stock, and self service line was 15mins long, but coping
M. F.
Very good place to do your weekly shopping has everything that you need from food shopping to alcohol and cigarettes and the staff are very friendly and helpful whilst also offering a quick service
K. V.
Staff as ever very helpful and friendly.. Problem near the entrance from the car park I was hassled for money off one of so called homeless people so was my daughter.. He asked me twice even though I said no to him I asked a member of staff to make security aware its happening on most of my visits to ur store and is getting annoying.. I give the store top marks but the begging is a real problem
A. E.
Avocados were not great but the bakery is cheap and not bad. Staff allowed me to try one of the doughnut fillings which was nice.
D. R.
Staff really nice problem no loose filleted Kippers really really nice problem never available
C. H.
Best super market by miles. Go and enjoy 👍
a. C.
Very xpensive and never has everything I'm after
S. W.
In and out very quick turn around
T. A. h.
Another good Morrisons store. I always rave about their pumpernickel bread. I just wish they sold it in our local morrisons down south as well. Large car park. cheap fuel. Great world food section.
H.
For amazon drivers picking up deliveries from there is a total nightmare. But the store itself is nice, with reasonable prices and good brands
H. C.
Selection of foreign food, spotted some Irish soda bread mix Ana fresh barnbrack.
D. W.
Don't travel here if using the key cutting machine. Was told there was no one there that could activate it. There 'may' be someone who can in the morning. Shopped elsewhere due apathy of staff.
M.
Has a variety of Ramadan and eid stuff. Lovely to see a shop that provides service for the minority
C. P.
I do my shopping here, love the staff always really friendly and helpful, has everything you should need. Just wished it had more food from other cuisines, there's just an aisle with that kind of food.
N. J.
Lovely Crew, Wide product range also for people with allergies or vegan People. Nice special offers. I'll come back. greetings from Germany
M. B.
Empty and chilled out. Not rushed through the checkout. I'm a nervous shopper with the virus as in a vulnerable group but I didn't feel at risk.
J. F.
Absolutely unreal. When people come to Newcastle, they want to see the sights, like the Tyne Bridge, The Baltic, Monument, St James Park, The Castle Keep... And I'm like... Nah... Morrisons Byker, Shields Road... All of the culture you'll ever need. And they have a fishmongers.
j. a.
Store has a cafe and plenty of parking spaces. Plenty of buses stop near by. Good access to petrol station. Wide range of grocery items and foreign / speciality food lines.
R. H.
Good sized Morrisons which is handy to get to and has plenty of parking spaces. Cafe serves reasonably priced good food and there's always a bargain or two to be found. #morereaons #supermarket
B. M.
I can buy all the things my Mam and Dad used to. Mmm Rockys only 50p, Bargain. Great in-store butcher. Trims lamb joints to perfection. Today I bought tripe. Can't get that at my local Tesco or Aldi. Would have bought bone marrow for the dogs but there was only one left and they won't share food. Occasionally you can get 5-10% cashback on your shop paying with a Halifax credit or debit card if u activate it online with Halifax first. Offer isnt always on mind.
c. s.
Was unsure wether to purchase a certain box of sweets seeing as l am not a big sweet girl eater... When l got to the checkout the lady while scanning it said these are scummy...
She was right of course lovely
B. R.
Decently sized Morrison's. Has wide variety of foods and other goods. Plenty of parking spaces outside. Staff are nice enough.
P.
Pleasant shopping experience. Top marks for their fresh cream cakes and bread
S.
Go there for the kids meals £1 For every adult meal bought, ok now and then. They very rarely have what u order or fancy. Staff are spot on.
j. d.
Open top freezers not very clean but overall a good selection of groceries and cooked meat deli. Bought some poloney as I haven't seen it for year's.
P. B.
If you, like me, have often imagined what a real zombie apocalypse would feel like, then head to Morrisons Byker on Monday lunchtime, just after the weekly giro's have been issued, and experience it for real. They also have a decent fish counter.
C. G.
Wasn't much fruit and veg left. Only had bananas in plastic wrappers and they were green, but I like them loose.
R. H.
Allways very busy but up to standard with any other morrisons. One annoyance is they keep asking if I have a silly scrounging points card. Pro tip for you. Don't make people use points cards just make the stuff cheaper in store instead! I don't carry stupid cards so I can save 50p over a year like some slave.
P. B.
10 oot 10 for me, fresh fish bit spot on pies spot on, bakers lovely plus as a Sunderland fan from Gateshead can get an Echo too read about the Lads F.T.M. 😄
J. B.
Huge Morrisons with their usual great choice of products. Plus petrol station on site
T. B.
Good products.
P. S.
Staff are nice and will chat to you at the tills. The only drawback is that stock levels vary so that they may have run out of your favourite product.
K. M.
Fine. Craft beer selection pretty good. Hot food section too. Pizzas are excellent.
K. C.
The place caters to everyone's needs and has a very wide selection of items to choose from. Them you can relax in a cafeteria afterwards, plus they have toilet facilities.
P. D. M.
It is big and usually cheaper than the others. THere is fish monger and butcher becnh so you can get "fresh" fish as well not just packed. Good for the "food of the world" session.
L. R.
Great cooked meat annd deli counter. The world food aisle & free from selection is good. The area it's in is not great but ok if you arw just visiting the supermarket.
D. R.
Nice bread but the fruit and veg don't last very long. Handy cafe if you want to kill your appetite before you shop.
R. L.
Not a huge fan of this shop, not keen on the layout but there are some good cheap options and I like that there is still a proper cheese and cooked meat counter.
c.
Good value, large store, especially good for sweet stuff, great reduced deals on cakes n such close to closing time.
M. P.
Big family shop.
Taken there by Dean taxis and picked up by Dean taxis

I always enjoy doing my shopping here I think its a little bit of old and new with market st and the deli counter the butcher and fish monger and I always find every thing under one roof and the customer service is excellent x
E. S.
Nice place to shop. One stop shop. I even found a few Afro Foods there.... Surprised to see habanero pepper too....
Y. G.
Staff were very helpful and polite. Didn't have any clothes pegs, which is why I went along. Got a few other things though !
M. H.
Conveniently situated at the foot of Shields Road and Byker Bridge and within the local bus routes on Shields Road. This Morrisons has a large car park and petrol station and is the nearest very large Supermarket next to the City Centre and Student Accommodation dotted around the East End. It has a very good restaurant by supermarket standards. Also in my opinion is superior to the Byker Asda in the quality of fresh produce (fruit, veg, and especially seafood & meats).
N. M.
This place unfortunately always has a load of smack heads hanging out the the sheilds road entrance and the security hang out at the carpark entrance
N. W.
Haven't been to the shop for a while Will definitely be coming back as l am pleased with the results of my shop, plenty of bargains. Thanks to the staff who were 1st class. *****
J. D.
General staff are always so helpful! Especially on the fish counters, butchery and check outs! Just don't ask the management for anything they'll be too busy!
R. L.
Well done Morrisons Byker, open to the public at 8am, 7am for NHS workers, letting 10 customers in at a time then wait for few mins then next 10 worked really well
R. T.
Huge supermarket that sells basically everything and at low costs too. Lots of self service available aswell as other checkouts.
Big carpark and free too. Friendly, helpful staff.
d.
Not our locals Morrison's but popped in a few times for bits and bobs.
Good selection of grocery's.
Reasonably priced fuel.
L. S.
I shop there for my groceries, fruits and vegetable, better value.
J. L.
A nice place to shop, staff are friendly and adequate precautions have been taken.
D. H.

Store is excellent. Halal products much appreciated. Some staff good some are a bit "not nice" at the till..
e. b.
Love the fact they have ww meals and frozen cauli rice packs made my day, diet irn bru a bit pricey though.
D. D.
Just like any other Morrisons really - very friendly staff. Good range or goods. Possibly slightly less neat and tidy than the Cowgate branch.
D. O.
Fish and chips great
B. H.
Usually plenty of choice, good fish and meat counters and friendly staff.
B. B.
Love me a Morrisons. This one has all kinds of crazy juice! Only tried the banana juice so far.... Tasty!
D. B.
This store is clean and staff are not always very helpful. Only 3 stars as I find it more expensive than Asda . And I don't seem to find what I want, so I am always having to walk around the whole store.
D. C.
Competitive on price and generally good own brand products. Biggest negative about this branch of Morrison's is the layout of the store which doesn't seem logical it maybe that's just me.
G. L.
2nd time I have visited in a while
Very good customer experience
Staff all.lovely
Excellent prices on wines
Must make it there more regularly
G. P.
Staff are friendly and helpful
T. W.

I went to byker Morrison's with my 4 year old daughter today she has her bike with her and soon as i walked in the lasy behind the 10 items or less bit told me to put her bike behind her so i wasn't carrying it about while i shopped which help me so much so thank you
M. D.
Good range of food and good quality but expensive
b. m.
Good location, right at the bottom of shields road with free parking. Quite a lot of self service tills too, although they usually have a lot of staff on the tills anyway.
D. W.
Nice shop, good selection of fresh food, salads and fruit/veg when compared to other Morrisons I visited. Good size car park as well.
c. c.
Big Morrisons, they have very good selection of everything.
b.
Good shop. Clean and tidy and had everything I needed. Couldn't ask for anymore. Nothing ultra special about it though.
P. R.
Morrison's centre has all you could need for a weekly shop. Almost every need is catered for, even if you require to book a holiday. Good experience for all.
S. P. V.
Lots of choices, discounted price for NHS, Good customer service.
C. A.
Called into Morrison's byker this morning for bite to eat pauline the waitress was very nice polite and very helpful I was sat when she came to me give me fried bread in shape of a heart I thought it was a lovely gesture...thankyou pauloner
M. K.
Till staff can be very rude. Pulking eyebriws and making faces for nothing. They need to be trained how to behave and interact with customers.
R. T.
Always think about where to go but morrisons as good as any.
S. S.
Love this supermarket. It has really good deals
J. L.
It's hard to feel very emotional toward a supermarket. It doesn't what it does and it does it well. I wish it were open longer, but I understand the issues.
E. O.
Doing very well with social distancing by amount letting in shop and making sure everyone wearing mask pleasent shopping experience
I. w.
Nice store well layed out. Toilets are always clean.
C. A.
Very helpful great value all ways top quality I have differculty walking going into the disabled toilet the sign on the door makes you think all disabilities can't be seen
M. M.
Great shop. With good produce. Unfortunatly this place also has a lot of very needy homeless people who hang around outside the building
j. b.
Usual quality Morrison's store, doing their best to compete with Aldi & Lidl stores. Recommend the in-store cafeteria, no extortionate prices.
H. M.
You just get Everything!
B. A.
Great place as same stock in same place in all stores of a similar size
d. c.
I can find everything i need. Right quality and price, very furnished fresh fish as well and everybody is helpful with the customers.
M. L.
Tidy and pleasant place to shop. Cheaper than most other supermarkets. Unfortunately, check-outs are often slow.
M. W.
I love the deals and a wide range of choices but many vegetables are wrapped in an unnecessary plastic :c
J. M.
Petrol station is brilliant. However nobody today sanitized the pumps. Take your own
J. C.

d. M.
Shop here every week only reason for 3 stars is sometimes there are misleading offers in store but other than that I would recommend you all visit this supermarket there are some incredible deals ☺
J. B.
One of the big monopoly stores. If it's cheap here then next week the price will double and the same product will be on special at asda or Tesco. They all work hand in hand
M. B.
The best supermarket in the Byker area for fresh veg, deli counter, salad bar, fish mongers and butcher's, not to mention a pretty decent little cafe.
R. V. S.
Great supermarket. You get what you need. It might not be the cheapest, but great cafe and you get almost everything you ever need.
A. H.
Like most of their own products! Ideal for frozen food! As I don't have to go far to get home!
