I went to isle of wight on holiday. And we needed a few bits. One of which was pancakes. And may I say out of all the Asda Stores I have been to in England, this stores pancakes was the best. I asked the tall slightly built guy who worked there , what flavour pancakes where those that he was packing. And he said maple syrup. I asked if I could have 2 packs he said yes and packed them and gave them to me. I had them the next day. And I was blown away it was delicious. There was so much maple flavouring in them. They were light and fluffy. If I had know how amazing they were i would have brought 4 packs. Thank you to the guy who made them. They were 10/10.

Had an online food delivery from here while on holiday in shanklin last week. Probably one of the best online orders I've had. Everything was very long dated. Only had a couple of substitutes which were fine. The delivery driver was very nice too. Thank you asda and especially whoever picked my items.

Nice big asda with a petrol station, never many tills open, it's got a lot of self service. Has a good selection of non food items such as clothing and kitchen appliances. Decent sized car park

Did the job for shopping but nothing out of the ordinary and lots of shelves seemed unstocked. Beers/ciders in particular were sparse in places and for such a big store, not impressed with range in brands. Prices seemed good however and lots of parking. Easy to find driving into Newport.

Shop here regularly as its on my door step however have noticed recently that the shelves always seem to be empty, not always able to get certain products. Quite disappointed. Also when going down in the evenings i have noticed a group of young individuals hanging around the car park revving there engines etc, smoking and swearing, this can be quite intimidating especially if on my own. Can also hear them racing around the car park after midnight causing a nuisance to residents in the area, and yet the store management seems to do nothing about it!!

I do like Asda but staff are always talking with back turned when on self service, so have to wait for them to notice, and my son and a few friends went in and asked for the prime drink,they didn't have any, but the man that worked there said he has some at home he could sell them for £10. Bit odd

I usually use Asda as it’s local to me, the shop isn’t too big or too small like a few other supermarkets on the island, the prices are right and for its scan as you shop as it saves you loading, unloading then reloading your trolley to then bag it all up afterwards. However, the last 2-3 times I’ve been I’ve been disappointed. So many gaps and empty shelves it’s looked like a closing down sale! Especially the crisps, squash and snack section, and last night there was next to nothing in the frozen area but Christmas dinner bits…

I picked up click and collect for my mum on Friday at 6:30ish and the guy who served me was very polite and helpful, asked me if all the subs were okay and if I wanted one the items swapped for anything else close to the actual item I wanted, I've had issues with click and collect in the past but I got to say they are improving, only down side is the wait time, I was waiting 10 mins for my order but the guy was apologetic and said how he’s the only one there and doing 2 jobs at once but other than that it’s a great store

Great standard Asda. Plenty of parking. Haven't had any trouble yet. Plenty of disabled parking to near to the front of the shop. Good woke aisles enough to fit multiple people so you don't feel crowded when shopping. Good range of good however the shelves are empty a lot of the time. Staff around and always helpful

Asda is on the main road through Newport, It has a large car park with plenty of family and disabled bays. It cash machines, a cafe, selfscan, customer service desk, clothes, non food items such as household,electrical,toys and games,audio and visual and much more besides. Food areas have all the usual departments plus an in store bakery, pizzeria and a Timpsons . There are public toilets including disabled and changing. There is a petrol station on site which is usually the cheapest in the area. This store also delivers and does click and collect. Always had good service here. NB also has a photo booth for passport photos etc.

I don't want to give 3* rating but I suffer from anxiety and depression i come to asda because it's been big and spacious cos I don't do large crowds. So this afternoon I came into yr store in newport iow (14/5/2020) and yr security guard callum was helpful friendly and happy and went to customer service desk for me to retrieve a key for the mobility scooter. I was going down the aisles looking for my shopping the aisle I wanted was crowded so I took a turn into the next aisle and I went the wrong way this wasn't deliberate and I understood the one way system but the aisle I wanted was crowded so I waited down an empty aisle till the aisle I wanted was clear. The member of staff was rude and unhelpful whilst speaking on a mobile phone said in a loud unfriendly manner you are going the wrong way. The way she spoke really hurt and wasn't helping my anxiety or depression

Ordinarily I would give a 5 star review for this store but I feel there is a massive problem with the lack of hand sanitizer and where it is positioned. 1 hand sanitizer station hidden behind the entrance doors means people don’t see / don’t use it as they enter the store. This applies to the basket / trolley sanitizer as well.

Well designed store. Wheelchair Access and toilets including accessible one. Pleasant environment inside and out. Well laid out. Good selection of non groceries like clothes, kitchen wear books etc.... Does a little bit of everything rather than a large range. Shelves well stocked. Also small cafe, Timpson and order online, collect in store. Additionally a petrol station. Nice place to look around even if you don't need groceries

What a lovely store, I'm on holiday and was served by Carly, she was bright, colourful, cheerful and pleasant, we came back to the store just to be served by Carly. Our local asda in Somerset the staff are so rude, it made a lovely change. Asda should have more staff like Carly. Well done Newport.

So here on the Isle of Wight this is like a new toy. However, it's a supermarket and nothing more. My advice is shop around for the best deals. I feel they have tried to cram too much into the location with a tight car park and tight tills. One redeeming feature is the nice view from the car park.

Store is a little bright with Led Lighting, It doesn't have much in the Technological Isle compared to other Superstores on the Island (Sainsbury's, Tesco Extra) that can bring in quite a bit of revenue.

Great place to shop recommended if you are fed up of morrisons rubbish. Please shop here avoid morrisons at all costs. Asda is far cheaper than Morrison's do your maths. Example bread 39p morrisons 45p cheapest
