Food is always great quality. Friendly welcoming staff. If I ever want a pizza I always go there as it’s traditional Italian/Neapolitan style nice soft dough, great sauce and toppings. The best real Sicilian Canoli’s which my whole family love. Reasonable prices definitely recommended

Great little Italian deli serving take-out pizza. 😋 Am a Vegan/ Veggie so had four items: Peroni beer - very tasty. 🍺 Spinach and Cheese Aranchini - not Vegan but incredibly tasty and tasted wholesome like it has meat (though doesn't). 🧆 Vegitariana pizza - took 20 mins but really tasty and filling. 🍕 Baci chocolate (see wrapper in photo) - again not vegan but super delicious chocolate. They also have an espresso chocolate. 🍫 They also have wines, cold desserts, some unusual soft drinks, an olive servery, Olive oils, pastas, pasta sauces, Amaretti biscuits, and Beef Aranchini. My one gripe is they have really bizarre opening hours. May be just lockdown but they seem closed a lot (e.g. not early Sunday afternoon but on Monday 🤨). However worth the wait and they were a warm place to stay while waiting for our food. Oh, and they could do with more vegan options for hot food. Overall: definitely recommended.

Lovely shop with so many Italian products! The staff were lovely and it was nice to see so many products that I cannot find anywhere else. It will be great if card payment can be with no limit (£5) limit and some products are a bit expensive compared to other shops but other than this greatly recommend! Would love to try their pizzas next time!

The taste and texture of the pizzas are exactly like how they were in Italy. Worth the wait. Highly recommended. They sell Italian food stuff for you to create an Italian gastronomic experience at home too.

Great pizza's! So much lovely flavour and cooked well, the base itself was slightly thin so became soggy with wet ingredients, the crusts were spot on, over all delicious all the same (picture is of the Italia Pizza with no cheese)

I never get enough with their pizzas. authentic ingredients imported from Italy, tempting smell after being baked in wood fired oven. love at first bite. This pizza beats many other big names. Never miss a chance to enjoy this pizza when you're in Oxford. Highly recommended

I always come here for pizzas and I love the new menu! I recently ordered the Bandiera and Classic Bufala (so delicious.) The family who run Il Principe are very accommodating and consistently provide excellent service. I’m not surprised by how busy they are as I highly recommend them as the ‘go-to’ place for Deli and pizzas in Oxford.

Have been in here a couple of times but ordered takeaway for the first time the other night. Absolutely delicious food, a real treat. I would sell my grandmother for one of their cannoli. The store is well stocked and full of great quality products. Friendly helpful staff. One of my favourite places on Cowley Road.

If you open this franchise in london you would be a millionaire. The most delicious pizza I have ever tried . Amazing choice of ingredients and the texture is perfect. The chocolate pizza also goes down a treat . Me and my wife shared our first experience with this place and ten years later we still talk about this amazing pizza place. Truly one of the best

We ordered food from this place and were pleasantly surprised. They do so many different pizzas and food, so great choice. But the best thing was the pizza. Sooooo good! One of the best I've had. Proper pizza too. The dough was amazing. We ordered some deserts too which were really good, but when they arrived they were slightly frozen. But after leaving them for a bit, they were fine and super tasty. We'll be ordering from here again.

Il Principe is literally the best Pizza shop in Oxford. Nice family running the shop, they give you the real Italian pizza and they also sell other Italian products like the pecorino romano cheese.

Great takeaway pizza, which is the real highlight of the place, and a good little Italian deli where you can get olives, cheeses, cured meats and other packaged products. Prices for uncommon import products are quite high but that's to be expected.

Minor edition - I had a terrible experience when the lady owner was not there. I won’t use this place again unless she’s there. A lovely little gem on Cowley Rd - lots of lovely food and ingredients. Pizza, pasta, antipasto - all excellent. Remember - this is NOT a Pizza Hut so you should expect a homely service. Highly recommendable. Just go there and pick up some decent Italian food!

I've been ordering take away pizza from this place for over 4 years, but I think I will stop now...the last several times they were consistently late, the crust was burnt, a few salami slices had plastic wrap attached to them. Very sad, since this used to be my top option for delivery and overall top-2 favourite pizza in town: nothing can beat Pizza Artisan, the wood-oven pizza van at the Christ Church gate!

Delicious take-away pizzas. IMO better than Pizza Mario across the road and far superior to Atomic Pizza further up Cowley Road. Their deli is stocked with antipasti like olives, peppers etc and they have a wide range of Italian dried and canned goods. They also sell wine and take-away tiramisu. All in all good prices and very delicious pizza - try the Italia pizza.

Best pizzas in Oxford? Quite possibly! I'm between this and La Cucina. Good price and good selection of pizzas and Italian food. There is student discount which is great! The Deli has lots of nice authentic Italian bits and pieces as well.

Amazing pizzas here. I've ordered many times, usually better to pick up than get a delivery if you live in the area. The staff on the phone can seem a bit clueless, but that's definitely worth the struggle for these pizzas. They do a student discount too if you ask.

Ok pizza, dough a bit chewy. Cannoli are imported from Italy so they are frozen which makes it soft and not crunchy. Overall overpriced for what it is.

I just had a takeaway Pizza from Il Principe - and it was absolutely delicious. Red-hot, and quality ingredients that really tasted of stuff - particularly the tomato sauce and mozarella. And very reasonably priced to boot. Don't go for nasty lardy chain stuff - this is the real deal, and so much nicer...

Like a previous post noted "this is not a pizza hut" if you can ignore the moody old guy (the lady is friendly as) this is one hell of a gem, in terms of authentic Italian pizza ive found it hard to beat. I live in high Wycombe and drive over (eat straight away in the car) this is fresh food so I'd think if your having it delivered it's not going to be quite as good. 4 stars simply because old moody chops in shop otherwise it would be 5.
