Lovely store in Cowley selling products and spices targeted at the Indian and Asian market. Extremely wide variety of exotic spices and marinades. Clean halaal butchery as well which is relatively priced. They do sell fruit (good variety and quality) but their grocery selection is very limited (yoghurts, drinks, frozen foods, tea/coffee, biscuits, crisps etc). If you are price conscious then double check prices as the chainstore supermarkets sell many items cheaper and Tahmid is cheaper on certain items. Will surely be doing my spice shopping here 👌

Tahmid Stores has a good collection of Indian and south-east Asian stuffs. I buy all the Indian grocery items from Tahmid. Whether it is different types of pulses (dal), grains, spices, snacks or spices - MDH, Shaan or any raw individual items, you can get them all. They also sell Indian vegetables but they are quite expensive.

A must visit store if you need Good Indian grocery at good price. You can get flour, instant mix, wheat, cereals, pulses, spices, dhal etc etc....must visit them

Saw Wide range of south Asian food supplies but it does come with big price tag but it is what it is they have to pay the tax to import them, can't blame the shop but thanks to them we get good traditional food

Great place for all kinds of food you can't get elsewhere - particularly fruit, veg, and spices (inc Peri Peri sauce and Sweet potatoes). 😋 I used them particularly when I was on a potato diet as they are one of those rare places that sells sacks of potatoes / root vegetables, as well as REAL sweet potatoes, and Kasava root (which has to be tasted at least once to be believed). 🍠 A few items they sell (that are tricky to get elsewhere: * A quite astonishing range of fruit and veg (e.g. Tamarinds, Dried Figs, Pomegranates, Massive Carrots, big Peppers, red and white Onions, Big Squashes, and a wide variety of Olives). 🥕 * Bags of Crispy Dry Onions (plus other useful catering bags). 🌰 * A variety of German, Bulgarian, and European meats and cheeses. 🧀 * Mother Africa Crunchy Snacks / Original Bites (tasted like sugar-free shortbread). 🍪 * Litre bottles of sauces (Peri Peri, Taramind, Garlic Mayonaise, etc) - the sort you see outside decent catering vans. 🍶 * Big and small bags of spices (e.g. peppercorns / pepper, coriander seeds / Coriander, Turmeric, etc). 🍱 * Seeds (e.g. Chia seeds, Lentils, Chick Peas, etc). 🥗 * Garlic and Ginger paste in 1 litre containers - this I particularly rate as Western cookery tends to be full of sugar (these aren't and ginger paste is a great fat-free flavour). 🧄 * Trays of Plum Tomatoes (£2 a tray of 12 = less than 20p a can). 🍅 * Beans in many varieties (Fava Beans, Chick Peas, etc). 🥫 * Nuts in many varieties (Almonds, Walnuts, and even Shelled Pistachio kernels!) 🥜 * Big 5 litre bottles of cooking oil (as well as other oils). Plus smaller bottles too. 🍮 * Three minute noodles. 🍜 (Have included some photos and a video of a selection of the above) When I was running a food stall, this was one of the few places I went (outside of Bookers Wholesalers) to get special flavours and ingredients. The Peri Peri Sauce bottle is particularly popular as it's un-affectedly fiery. 🔥 Is good value too and takes card. My one grumble is the cashier didn't seem to speak English beyond reciting prices, although this seems to have changed recently, and the owner now recognises me from my potato diet days! 🥔
