Very good supermarket in terms of quality where price is slightly high. Lots of variety item and quality customer service available. variety of wine collection available. Birthday cake has not met our expectations but we have no complaints on quality.

If I could rate 4.5 stars I would. The only reason why it wouldn't be 5/5 is because over 10 or so times I've been here, the toilets are a bit hit and miss. Sometimes sparkling clean and others well, not so. As usual with Waitrose, good products, friendly service and clean main shopping area. Would recommend if you're not on a budget.

Since it is not a local store, I visit there occasionally. Every time I pass through, I always stop in to get something. It is clean and you can tell the staff are better trained than at certain supermarkets, which is why I enjoy going there. The setting is tidy and clean. When you're waiting for a pickup at the station, the location of the coffee shop is advantageous.

Great supermarket but the cheese section is unacceptable. It’s always closed and/or covered by a plastic foil. I wanted to grab one fully packed, labelled cheese with a bar code on it but some other staff members (not from the cheese section) told me to leave it and go. I wanted to get the one that there is no need to cut it out from a big one, the one fully wrapped/packed and with a bar code and still they didn’t let me buy it. It’s really ridiculous, as I am saying it again, the cheese I wanted was fully packed and labelled with a bar code so no need a person to cut it for me or put a Waitrose label on it.

Always spot on. I have been to 4 more local supermarkets to try unsuccessfully to get certain ingredients and Waitrose had them all. Shelves always stocked, always staff around to ask questions and great customer service.

I would like to give personal review to a man who is responsible for the parking and trolley area. Every single time when i am coming for the shopping I can see him: helping people with the tickets, offering help, once I saw how he put free parking ticket for the customer who was in rush. He is always smiling! today he offered to take my trolley for me, so I don’t need to go by my own with the newborn on hands. Thank you so much ! His kindest worker i have ever seen, literally made my day.

Some of the staff are friendly a part from some of the floor managers who have their favorite staff who they point out customers too and make them feel like the customer don't belong in Waitrose. The Floor managers have made someone feel very upset and I know they don't care what they did as they just laughed which is not very nice.

Only marking it down because I think the store was built in the wrong place. The location would have been ideal for a new bus station and the space used by the existing bus station to extend Queensgate. I have used the cafe here many times. And the customer coffee is back on November 7th 2022!

The sushi bar is exceptional and worth visiting alone. The staff that work on this counter are wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The quality of the baked items are very high and tasty. They sell the generic items you might expect from a supermarket but why would you go here to buy such things? Unless you want the space and quietness for the money. Go for the uniquely quality items. Their chilled pies and cold and cured meats are fantastic. Deserts like sticky toffee pudding are fantastic as are their ready meals. I'm not your average waitrose shopper. The prices here at high compared to what I would normally spend. I chose by quality for special occasion. I visit here rarely. THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE are very helpful. The service standards are very high. I HAVENT HAD anything to complain about.

I shop nearly every week at Peterborough Waitrose, the staff are great, cafe good coffee and snacks, Catarina always helps me if she is there, super staff in cafe. No complaints.

The store was neat, tidy and clean and there were no obvious items missing from shelving at 09:30. There was quite noticeable increased pricing on some of the products which I regularly buy but as I'm shopping for one instead of a family, I can pick and choose if I buy! Still disappointed that the cold counter no longer sells Quorn Vegetarian Bacon. It means I have to get it elsewhere. (I don't actually like the look of the bacon which looks like bacon rashers!). I would have had breakfast but the new cooked vegetarian items are now too "clichéd" for me (when what I enjoyed was Quorn bacon slices or a Quorn sausage with egg, tomato and toast!). Hint 😉 P.S. I don't work for Quorn! I was mightily relieved to see so many people were still wearing masks to protect themselves and others from infection and, hope that prevails for some time to come so I'll be able to go out to shop instead of ordering on line - which I really always dread!

This this a really good store. It is very spacious and has a lot to offer in any of the product category. The staff is usually very nice and helpful. I particularly appreciate when the lady at their sweet corner makes "handmade cappuccino" with a real milk foam, not the ones from regular coffee machine. The store is extremely well located next to the train station, so it is possible to do the grocery shopping while waiting for a connection)))

coffee shop staff very friendly. however the shop shop floor customer service is not as good as I expected. one of them called Toni very rude.After I finished scanning the Items I got I paid than I was leaving when I heard her saying excuse me is these your trolley and is the basket yours put it back there. I was totally shocked what was she thinking. the trolley was there some one else left it there. and it is her job not my job to do it. I am a customer I don't work there. I complained to the floor manager he was rude as well. very disappointing😯

Really good stuff from this shop, excellent quality etc and as for the price, not allot dearer than the other big four. However, the £4 token only had two days before expiry. We do a weekly shop and therefore can't benefit from this.

Could be great but isn't. Shelves always poorly stocked! Massively understaffed, and the staff they do have are generally blasé about customer service (no one seems to want to help or interact with customers) And why offer a free coffee if the machine isn't maintained? I've witnessed staff duck away from it when the queue gets long because of a fault (usually an empty hopper) The car park is so poorly laid out and always congested.

Exemplary shopping experience. Waitrose is well placed to serve those arriving/departing by train and worthwhile accessing from Queensgate bus station or 2 hours free parking. Staff are super helpful. High quality merchandise and great offers. As a 'MY WAITROSE' card holder I feel valued and choose to shop regularly at Waitrose. Apart from the outstanding customer service the free coffee and Guardian newspaper is a bonus. The seating area at the side of restaurant is a west-facing sunny space on a good day. The areas created for seating adjacent to the entrance create a welcoming place to take a break. The toilets are clean. The store and staff maintain exceptionally high standards in what I regard as the best supermarche in Peterborough.

Greedy buggers charging for car parking, though if you're a customer of Waitrose, then they don't charge you, at least not for a couple of hours. They have you if you forget to get a ticket, thinking its just an ordinary Waitrose. Anyway, with that rant out of the way, the store itself presents a wide range of products including its own reasonably priced sushi bar.

Good to know Waitrose had many customers, but it seemed to me that there were too many people in there....but not as many as opposite the Town Hall at the Christmas Market. Funny how Peterborough City Council hasn't learnt any lessons from Nottingham's disastrous experience just last weekend... Looking for some VFM things to buy? Waitrose's own cheese is incredibly good value and their nearly out of date "bins" also had some brilliant offers. Their French wine offers are also really good. With reductions to make you smile even more. Their food/deli counters are always good, and some of the meats tho' are delicious. BUT their samosas seem to get smaller every year.... Of all the Supermarkets, I'd prefer to shop at Waitrose in Peterborough. Every time. Good choice, good service and good quality. Their bread isn't the cheapest at midday, but what a wonderful selection. Go later and pick up some amazing bargains.

Just visited restaurant before doing my weekly shop. Ordered a bacon roll which came in a very rustic bread roll - no problem but unbuttered. Asked the assistant for some butter and she said there would be a charge of 20p! Couldn't believe it. Surely a bacon roll at £3.50 warrants a scraping of butter. From a somewhat disgruntled, regular customer 😕

Last Saturday I visited the store and was returning a parcel to John Lewis and the young man (Owen) on the welcoming desk was very welcoming and was more than happy to help. Owen then processed my return quickly whilst maintaining a jovial conversation with me and he didn't seem stressed by amount of people in the store. some of the best supermarket prices in my area, as well as that the reduced to clear occasionally has some real gems. plenty of checkouts including a basket one or if not there's three self service tills (no area to put scanned items but i don't care). opening hours aren't the best, but still very good. cashback is only offered in 5s or tens but meh. some of the prices may be high but remember their main market is upperclass people.

Has good quality fresh fruit vegetables and salad and the Pina Colada & Pineapple ice lollies are my summer, but I would never shop here for anything else as it's far too expensive. Staff used to smile when the store first opened but haven't done for over a year. Shame their customer service training hasn't told them the importance of a smile, even to force it when you're tired after being on your feet all day.

I am a big fan of Waitrose in general, but the service in the cafe today was extremely slow. It was a Wednesday morning around nine am, so not exactly prime time either! I love our Waitrose from the lady addendent in the carpark ( very helpful) to the gentleman (very polite) where the alcohol is. The produce is good quality for a reasonable price.. However there is always one..an assistant who was unhelpfull, rude and may I say lazy who spoilt my whole shopping trip. If you don't like your job... Get another and I would gladly take your place!

As a regular commuter from London to Pe1 for the past year I have noticed the standard slightly drop for this particular branch. The staff are helpful but they always seem to be spending time reducing prices on short dated products which means management are ordering in too much food. Their was a rumour at our accountancy firm that the food which isn't then sold is thrown in to large palladins!!!! Shame considering a the homeless people whom could benefit !
