Reviews of Sainsbury's
D. 7.
Brill store lots of sale items, look for red stickers and also check out top and bottom self's, sometimes 50% off +++. Great Cafe breakfast 🍳 and coffee fir around £6.50. Loads there, pharmacy ⚕️, optician, timpsons, travel money plus petrol⛽. Good parking but it dose get busy after 12!! Suggest early or later unless you like waiting in queues and don't forget your Nectar card I earned over £2.50 back just on this trip💳💷😂.
G. J. (.
I love this store as its got so many different products available from a variety of different shops and services.
Also stopped for a cold cup of milk and a delicious jam donut which was very fresh.
My mother decided to have a banana and a packet of crisps with a delicious hot chocolate drink.
Their products are always fresh and tasty so I will be happy to go back again.

It's a supermarket?? It's kept well stocked, although I was looking for swimsuits at the end of August so unsurprisingly there wasn't much choice. Apart from that it's great, right next to the A38 and has a petrol station which has good fuel prices.
D. R.
The store at Marsh Mills in Plymouth was very busy but a good selection of value clothes and Christmas gifts. I managed to get around the store with ease and found everything I needed. They were plenty of staff on the checkouts which is a bonus as some other large supermarkets seem to be doing all self checkouts, excellent service at the checkout and very polite and helpful staff.
j. s.
5 different purchases between my wife and myself from fuel to in store shopping all without a hitch. Knowledgeable staff who were very helpful and courteous. On top of that we also received a cash discount of £7.50 plus a 20% reduction in the clothing department. Thank you for a very enjoyable shopping experience.
J. W.
What can I day, I missed Sainsbury's dearly (after a 20 year hiatus having moved back to Australia). The experience didn't dissapoint. Amazing range (we were even able to pick some sun hats for the kids which we were looking for). Can't wait to get back !
A. G.
Visiting just a couple day's before Christmas the congestion was to be expected - where Sainsbury's stood out was to have the excellent traffic marshals helping get us safely parked, plenty of stock in the store including everything I needed which I had struggled to get elsewhere and with SmartShop deals some reasonable price offers.
At the Smart Shop checkout there was a bit of issue with spending points and a gift card but the friendly ladies knew the problem, handled it really well and made it a simple and easy experience.
Actually in and out in half the time I had allowed and with all I needed so overall pretty happy
G. T.
We visited Saintsbury Plymouth which is on the marsh mills roundabout.
I have to say I was very impressed the range of fresh produce was fantastic.
The store was easy to navigate around and had everything we needed.
It also had a very good cafe.
T. H.
Shop regularly here. Run many deals if you have a nectar card. Staff are helpful and polite. Produce is definitely better than other supermarkets. Fresh and great quality.
L. W.
There are some outstanding members of staff in this place which makes the whole experience bareable. Often out of stock of what you need and always too busy for my liking though. Shout out to Sam on tills for being a ray of sunshine! What a credit to Sainsburys!
p. s.
I only gave 3 stars as I like a coffee without breakfast sometimes, the small coffee counter has been closed for some time now and I am fed up entering a huge que , with slow staff making it even worse.
Then we do our shopping, so open up the small counter for 5 stars.
d. m.
Sells food and has a petrol station. If you need either, it's a great place to visit. If you don't, I'd recommend that you give the place a miss - unless you like car parks and a craZy road network.... A learner drivers paradise perhaps?... But I digress 🤔
S. M.
My least favourite supermarket in Devon. It's a Sainsbury's so fine inside but the carpark is always busy and sometimes gets the very nice pong from plympton. No fault of the store mind.
B. H.
I like this store, using it regularly for many years now. Parking is plentiful and easily accessible.
Supply chain still affects availability of products.
M. H.
Good selection of grocery items. Excellent cafe, good service. Plenty of tills open, not queuing for long at all.
A. E.
Good disabled parking, plenty of choice for clothing and homeward. Downside, other shoppers do tend to use the car park as a racecourse.
L. K.
Everything under one roof. Staff are warm and welcoming. Saved a lot more money than shopping at Morrisons.
J. A.
This is a quality supermarket, great range and choice. Stopped off to buy an evening meal, dessert & drinks. The exit from the car park is the only drawback.
R. N.
We stopped to have a break and mainly went in the restaurant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked for my egg to be cooked more than normal and the person who took our order was only too happy to do what I asked The server also checked it was what I wanted and took it back to cook it a bit longer.
The food was good for what it was. It made a pleasant break.
The supermarket seemed large and typical for Sainsburys'. Again, the staff were pleasant and helpful.
m. s.
Good selection and quality, seems cheaper than it used to be lot's of price match with aldi, milk 20p cheaper than lidl's- surprised!
C. R.
Always enjoy going to Sainsbury’s plenty of selection. Love looking at all the different food. A bit more price than other supper markets but better selection. I use Sainsbury’s a lot for fuel as they have E5.
J. H.
Generally the best supermarket. the space to walk around without feeling like your on a bus, yet value at the core and the quality of the higher end of the competition. Their delivery service is "THE BEST".
M. S.
Went in for an appointment with Specsavers. The staff were very quick at seeing me and so happy and polite throughout my visit. Would definitely recommend. Although, it wasn’t very well signposted once you actually walk into the store itself.
K. w.
Not too busy at 10.30 on Monday. Lots of stock on display which is great. Not too many green bananas though, so bought less than I would. Everything else I wanted was in stock.
L. W.
Large store, nice range of things and have a clothing department, homeware etc.
A. N.
I always find the staff in these places having a chat by those auto tills, whereas in Aldi there is never enough staff to sort out when you come to buy booze. So Sainsbury's fine for stuff but the tills are a pain
n. s.
Always got loads of sails on here! Striking architecture and loads of things to buy in one place. If you need mayonnaise, pet food and a t-shirt, Sainsburys is a reasonable place to try
D. C.
Great quality food, great selection of clothes and well priced.
K. B.
Lady in the cafe cooks amazing, perfectly cooked eggs! Chef cook with a great talent to make the food taste extra nice, highly recommended 👍👍👍
J. F.
Very big store, so hard to find products if you don't go there often. Otherwise all good.
J. Z.
Fabulous sainsbury's, good size clothing range. A traditional stop off on our travels across the Tamar via Torpoint ferry.
C.
Eay to park, friendly and helpful staff, wide range of products in store and competitively priced
B. D.
Nice clean.Asked a staff member were the medical bit was and not helpful at all.
D. P.
Parking was a right nightmare and when people (see photos) park like this it's no blinking wonder!
Shop was very busy but no bumping of trolleys and everyone was polite. The checkouts ran smoothly.
T. P.
Always a busy store but still found a parking space near the entrance. The aisles are well lit, signposted and very open. Not my usual store just visiting for a product on special price of nearly 45% off though I still had a little look round for more bargains. I witnessed a tidy and clean store with plenty of staff around to assist customers. Even though the carpark looked quite full the store is so large you feel like the store is quiet with so much space. There was no long queues at the tills only 1 or 2 at most of them I could see so I was in and out on only a few minutes.
g. a.
good parking, but very busy on Sundays, recommend if possible don't go on Sunday,
C. U.
Clean, brightly lit. Friendly helpful staff and good range of stock. Reasonably priced.
G. J.
Good line of stock. Well laid out.
Can get quite busy at times.
Prices a bit higher than last year.
L. L.
Nice store, plenty of choice and deals. Crazy busy as you would expect near Christmas.
L.
Why oh why oh why do they shut their cafe at teatime now? And the feather duvet I bought myself for Christmas leaks feathers which is very itchy. The fast fashion seems to be squeezing out the rest and the sauces we like are only on sale in the Armada Centre store. The kosher section is embarrassingly tiny, likewise the free from. We stopped shopping here regularly due to an incident with one particular staff member in May 2020 who was incredibly rude to us. We still buy school uniform here as the quality is superb but children's clothes generally are now disappointing. You can buy food, obviously. Two staff members in particular offered standout customer service last week; let's see a return to those standards please! And open the cafe later; the food and service was wonderful. My eldest son has had three of his birthdays there by choice and they even did a cake for him and sang. Happy memories indeed.
D. J.
Lovely store. If you go after 8 pm very quiet. When they have a clothes sale it's great. They reduce homeware all of the time too. Their habitat range is so nice. Great quality food, great vegan range. Plenty of parking.
B. H.
Good range of products, dropped a star as higher pricing due to a local store
S. L. D. J. b. t. t. 3.
Good value for money if on a budget but also a range of higher quality produce if can be afforded.
T. P.
Nice selection of different fresh fruit and veg, fish and even a sushi bar. Healthy options, vegan, gluten free, meat free. Household items, clothing, and LGBGT Pride banners and shirts. Oh...and a cafe too!
A.
Good supermarket. Has key cutting service and cafe. Also has an argos at the back.
D.
Some products are dearer that other but overall good quality and friendly service.
m. s.
Travel Bureau - Reginald.
Had major issues with a Cash passport which I had ordered online through Sainsburys. Couldn't activate cards, get pin mumbers, helpline was useless, they didn't understand the issue at all. Out of sheer frustration went into branch to see if they could sort it out for me even though I hadn't purchased the cards. Saw Reginald in the Travel bureau, was only too happy to help even though I hadn't purchased from him. He sorted it all out in good grace, ran through everythign about the cards (which you don't get on line). In future will do all of my travel currency in store. Much less stress!!
j. b.
Great place only shop I cN get my fix chilli crackers the ones here are to die for love em
m. p.
Excellent experience. Only down side wad I found a bit of plastic in a ready meal l got to try..
L. G.
Love to stop here ..en route to the port in Plymouth!! Shame that cafe closes at 5pm...we used to eat evening meal here before checking in for the ferry. But great selection of goods etc....Will visit again !
s. a.
Positives = Good store well stocked normally. Argos inside as well. Good choice of clothes for your day to day stuff. Nice cafe. Adequate parking and petrol station. Good location.
Negatives = entry and exit can be slow as it’s based on one of Plymouth’s busiest roundabouts so all roads join a very busy junction so be careful!
D. D. w.
Tidy and well stocked, staff few and far between to answer question or help locate stock but no real issues.
L. B.
Just popped in to grab food as the services wernt that good so cooking when we got to our accommodation. No problems just what you would expect from sa8nsburies
R. S.
Friendly staff. Large store. Their Childrens clothes are often the best of all the supermarkets.
J. M.
Love the size of this store. Stocks loads of varieties.
K. G.
Nice big store, loads of choice. Nice and clean.
J. B.
I walked in and I was literally beside my self in awe. They got all this stuff there you can just Eat. Like cold stuff and hot stuff, stuff to wear and stuff you can read. There's this little kiosk bit you can get more stuff from at the back like cheap badly made flat pack furniture and jewellry. Imagine a physical more expensive amazon and thats what this place is like. Its mad.
L. G.
I've always loved Sainsburys. My favourite supermarket. Never lets me down. Love the cafe and can get everything I want around the store.
C. J.
Well stocked large store with restrooms, cafe, clothing, home wares, dry cleaners, opticians, travel agents, Argos etc. There's not a lot you can't get! The Click and Collect service was a lifeline during the pandemic and was one of the only stores I could book slots.
Timing of a visit is important if you're not keen in being in a busy store.
P. R.
This Sainsbury is quite good we got all we needed and there petrol was as competitive as the other supermarkets.
E. M.
A very good service with great good's and wonderful staff. I'm been shopping with you for year's and will never change. I worked here and they have never let me down. Well Done.
a. t.
Stopped for a couple simple goods I needed staff very friendly and helpful
j. F.
Lovely this place ,always something new to look at and plenty of parking spaces. You can have a coffee and fill the car after ,what
more do you want .
S. K.
Goods we wanted were in stock and speedy checkout.
C. T.
I shop at all of the major supermarkets, from Aldi to Waitrose. Of the bunch, this store is the 'best' shopping experience. Shopping Isles that are wider than most, combined with staff whose priority isn't to focus on emptying their cages. Price and food quality, tick.
S. M.
Hadn't been for while. Lady showed me where to find item. Even though she was on her way home. Lady at checkout was super. Helped pack my bags, and didn't chuck item's down the into the packing area. Thankyou for being so so kind. XX
p. l.
It is easy to shop at and the qu is always short when I get there still need to mask sanitise and distance but no problem getting in and out quickly. The customer assistance is always very freindly and they all have a good product knowledge relating to there area. If they cannot find something they always go away and ask someone who will know.
t. j.
Plenty to choose from, foods, house hold goods, clothing and argos at the back of the store. You also can get your holiday day money here as there is a currency exchange which gives you a better exchange rate if your a nectar card holder.
There is plenty of parking for able and disabled drivers withan easy access to the a38 and town.
S.
Well stocked Sainsbury shop. Easy access with lot of parking spaces.
d. l.
Quality fair price lovely staff plenty of parking and a great price petrol station cheapest in Plymouth
R. S.
Everything I was shopping for I managed to get. Excellent as always
S. C.
Best supermarket in the city centre . Great range of fruit and veg.
M. C. D.
It's ok and parking is free. Some good bargains in here too, and staff are polite and helpful.
B.
Its got what you need, decent deals if you use the smartshop. Bit of a bonus with Argos on site too
J. T.
Really well laid out and easy flow to the store. Mum's favourite store in the Plymouth area.
G. R.
Standard Sainsbury's supermarket. Polite staff. Decor looks slightly dated and stock levels low.
J. D.
The cafe is good with great prices, although the furniture feels a little utilitarian.
K. T.
Always clean and tidy shop which isn't that badly priced
N. C.
Stocked everything I needed, staff helpful and pleasant, very organised shop
A. M.
It's a supermarket, no real surprises. Like most supermarkets when its open you can buy things and when it is closed you can't. It has an Argos inside and also a restaurant. There is a place to get keys cut and also have your shoes repaired.
J. &. E. M.
Well stocked, great range.
N. P.
A good place to shop, cafe is adequate.
t. w.
Very clean throughout and the staff I spoke to were very helpful
s. k.
Love shopping at this store. Choice of food is fantastic and it's always fresh and keeps well. Added bonus is the clothes department! Such a nice variety of products at affordable prices! And it's always great to get double points at Xmas when you shop with Nectar card when the offer is running. Win win!
E. N.
One of my favourite supermarkets in the county. Good selection of products & handy having a large clothes section and an Argos. Also a foreign exchange bureau and Timpsons for key cutting.
C.
Superb selection. This supermarket is not so close as others are to me, but it was well stocked and not very busy. Managed to bag some great offers. Short queue at the tills.
I. D. U. B. S.
Super... Well stocked and convenient...
M. M. (.
Such a good Sainsburys. A very large store with great produce. Still has a cafe which serves meals/drinks etc. Stopped for breakfast which was good. Lovely selection of clothes for men and women.
j. h.
Great service, experienced staff/owner
M. J.
Large and very busy, but did have briefs big enough for a fat old dad. Overcomplicated exit from petrol station but cheapest petrol relative to the liquid platinum being flogged elsewhere.
Not first choice but handy if coming off the 30 needing fuel and underpants.
S. N.
Not alot can say to this except fantastic supermarket
M. D.
I can keep posting about the various places I've been. Here we go again. Sainsburys Plympton, shelves are stacked, as you would want them to be. Staff are happy as you would want them to be. Manager must be on top form because it's a well oiled machine, but why were there no duck eggs, I repeat, no duck eggs. Is it a seasonal thing? Doubt it. Stay safe and be yourselves. Respect always. Marcus.
E. H.
Great place for your weekly food shop
M. R.
Sometimes a little dear on the weekly shop but staff are polite.
b. b.
We collect for charity and the staff and customers are fantastic
L. M.
Usual good bakery, pleasant shopping experience
R. S. (.
Petrol, shopping, Argos, plenty of disabled and parent parking. And it still has a café!
D. W.
Great venue, great staff & a great car collection.
T. G. B. (. g. b.
They have a good range prices can be on the pricier side
C. H.
Always clean and shelfs well stock rotated. Great quality and price.
I. A.
Love Sainsbury's, but absolute chaos
C. T.
Great store. Had what we needed.
R. L.
Massive put of town supermarket, seems to have a bigger range than most smaller or in town Sainsbury's. The in-store sushi bar making fresh sushi is a nice surprise, along pretty tasty and we'll priced sushi
Was quite busy when I went (just after lunch on a Saturday) but not rammed, good sized carpark, but can be tricky getting out with the traffic lights only giving a short exit time.
There is an in-store Argos where you can buy in-store or order in advance and pick up.
l. B.
Very nice supermarket, would recommend. General impression is of cleanliness, cool temperatures- nice in summer! - and good spacious layout. Love the clothes dept, and Home - nice and stylish. Plus as well as a great selection of groceries, you have Timpsons, a dry cleaners, a Specsavers and a nice cafe!
S. S.
Staff are making sure customers are wearing masks if then provided some, very thoughtful considering the circumstances. The shop is clean and the availability of stock is good.
K.
Bright, well laid out store. Very large home & Habitiat sections with Argos store towards the back. Staff are friendly and the store is generally well stocked. The sushi bar is great although closes quite early. The pharmacy is open late which is super useful and the pharmacist I saw what very considerate and knowledgeable
b. L.
Sainsburys staff are always ready and willing to help. Pleasure to shop at Marsh Mills
M. B.
Good but. not fond of Marsh Mils traffic
R. J.
This is a very big Sainsbury's with lots to offer and very well set up. Isle's are of good size and plenty of staff on hand. Clean, tidy and a pleasure to shop at!
G. M.
Good range of products. No obvious empty spaces on the shelves. Not too busy, and staff very helpful in showing me where an item was that wasn't where I expected it to be.
K. C.
Love this place, one of the best shops for vegetarians, vegans and natural products users. One of the widest ranges I've seen anywhere and this is comparing Manchester stores too (so I've been to many). I went to get some natural deodorant and found my wild refills that I thought you could only get online. Honestly so impressed with this place.
S. a. h. C. a. P.
I really appreciate that you can now take a small trolley into the self service area..
L. w. p.
Like any supermarket nobody likes going so I'll list the positive points only. It well layed out, its cool in there (nice in the hot weather) the cafe is open serving food and drink of various kinds, the toilets clean and well looked after other then that shopping is shopping 😆 4* purely on cleanliness and layout and the cafe 😀
S. r. Y.
Not too keen on sainsbury but only because I prefer another store but great food great prices and good stock of clothes
S. B.
A wide range of both chilled and frozen alongside fresh meat, fish and fruit and veg a big plus on the wide range of both Men's and Womens, child's and baby clothes also a great selection of footwear. They also have a wide range of cookware and household items for sale
J. S.
Love the store, the service and friendly and helpful staff
S. K.
Typical Sainsbury's went here to get euros for our holiday. Very friendly lady and good rate at the time as a nectar customer.
M. H.
A massive store with loads of parking. Always well stocked. Having Argos and a huge Habitat section is also great. Never really packed either which is great.
R. D.
Air out of order in petrol station, rather inconvenient as daughter's tyre a bit flat and about to set off for Gloucestershire.
R.
What a great store. One of the bigger ones in a money area. We don't get these up north. Nice pleasant staff.
A. W.
Excellent service and helpful staff, great choice of quality food and drink. A bit on the pricey side, but plenty of choice. There is a great restaurant / cafe, the lunch time menu is excellent, except for the fries, which were a bit anemic and just warm.
J. C.
Good value carvery, family friendly
M. H.
It's very cold, which is great if you want to cool down
b. H.
Lovely store with good selection of clothes as well as groceries. Cafe open and drinks very reasonably priced. Plenty of self service scanners for quick checkout. Large car park. Petrol station next door
A. A.
Biggest Sainsbury's I've ever seen. 😮
H. F.
It's a Sainsbury's, so you know what to expect. It's certainly big, the full range of Sainsbury's products. There is also a café, check with the store that it's open, and a petrol station, some of the cheapest fuel in Plymouth.
The store is some way out of town, easy if you have a car as the car park (free) is huge. Not sure about access otherwise.
There are quite a few other stores on the site.
C. K.
Managed to grab some bits on my way home. Usual stuff, milk, bread etc. Hoped to get a sandwich but all sold out? Fuel was reasonable price too!
J. T.
Has fuel services on far side, massive store with Argos amongst other services inside (dry cleaners I think however I am not certain on this), car park is okay however the spaces are a little small so cars are cramped together and I often come out to find new door dings and dents.
f. a.
Excellent store. Everything you need under one roof! Well laid out and really friendly staff. Good experience.
s. w.
Great big store.Have everything you would need under one roof
N. K.
It's a supermarket!! It had exactly what I required in and out in a flash
W. S.
I popped in to collect some Christmas gifts I had ordered from Argos. They had a very efficient process and I had them in my trolley within minutes. I then found some good quality items in the supermarket. It's not my usual supermarket, but good for small luxuries.
K. K.
As Supermarkets go I do prefer Sainsbury's. This store is no exception and as per usual has an extensive choice on offer.
t. c.
Fabulous choice of clothes in this store.
B. T.
All good , had all I needed
K. K.
Great store has so much choice,Argos in store, staff very friendly and helpful
H. N.
Great superstore that really is a one stop shop. Argos, Specsavers, clothing, home furnishings and of course food!
For those gluten free shoppers like me, I think their selection is the best of all the supermarkets.
N. B.
Great place to shop lots of parking
K. M.
Good selection of fruit and veg which is always a plus. Staff wearing visors and not masks is questionable and people walking around with masks below their noses🤷. Good shop but social distancing not always observed.
C. L.
Great supermarket with all items you would usually need on your weekly shop. Staff always friendly and helpful. I use the smart shop app for my shopping easy and simple to use and works really well throughout the store no black out areas that I can find.
J. M.
Very busy .& getting in and out of car park wasn't easy either. All staff r working extremely hard but still very polite, & helpful when asked for directions for certain items. Well done to all
D. P.
Not usually busy, easy to find everything and helpful staff when needed help
F. i. L. V. (.
The branch is a good open branch with plenty of products to choose from. They offer their hand sets to self scan at this branch. There is always something to look at in the home and seasonal sections. Other than that pretty much your standard large retail store.
M. T.
I have always shopped at Sainsbury's. They have a good range of good quality products. The store is super clean and staff are helpful. Their stock problems are getting to be very frustrating.
J. J. J.
Worked here yrs ago majority of staff great and helpful. Always got lots of tasty and unique foods u don't get at other supermarkets and I think they polish all their fruit 😜
H. C.
Great super store.could do more to show how to get to it from the main road.
J. T.
Good choice and finally matching prices.
R. H.
Good range of products nicely displayed. Store is laid out with plenty of room in the aisles, staff always friendly and helpful.
S. S.
Good parking with disabled spaces close to entrance. Offers food, kitchen ware and appliances as well as clothing. Has a few third party shops inside, with a Argos store at the rear.
C. A.
Excellent products, great range, nice clean store.
A Little more expensive than other supermarkets but, you get what u pay for.
The main outstanding difference with Sainsburys is the customer service. Thier rivals staff can sometimes not even ex knowledge your presense but in sainsburys, the staff are helpful, pleasent and polite.
P. S.
The battle star Galactica of supermarkets. Anything that you can eat, open or shut.. they have. Interesting gigantic sail façade/feature on the building as well..
M. K.
Plenty of choice at a competitive price, petrol station on site and disabled and parent and child parking, also a hand car washing service while you shop. A nice cafeteria, and toilets including baby changing facilities. It can get pretty busy, but always plenty of checkouts open so not a problem, friendly and courteous staff and an excellent online delivery service, which now includes same day delivery, place your order by 12pm and you can choose delivery slots from 6pm onwards. My sister and brother in law also shop here, so we would all highly recommend it, masks are advised unless exempt (27/01/2022).
M. M.
Helpful Friendly staff, plenty of disabled parking.
Mainly go for the fresh meat, never had a problem, it always cooks perfectly, hardly any waste, counter staff always ready to help and give advice something we have found that other supermarkets don't do. Good value.
l. a.
Nice clean store got what I needed
T. P.
Huge superstore with an Argos as well inside. Well laid out and managed so easy shopping, even with social distancing in place. Big enough to have pretty much anything you could want from a supermarket.
C. F.
Went in to get stuff for making thick ice cream milk shakes. No choice in flavours for milk shake mix no crusha only nesquick chocolate. Then went to get ice cream and freezer completely empty no ice cream of any flavour and no ice cubes.... Being summer time I would have thought this would be high on the list of priority as both are big sellers this time of year......
V. D.
Always shop here their App has some great deals.
a. j.
1st time I've been there, seem'd ok. Didn't buy much, went there put of curiosity as I've seen the building from afar many times when visiting my Daughter's but decided to go and have a 'butcher's'
G. D.
Friendly staff, easy parking, good petrol price. Good selection of every day items.
Busy area as next to a McDonald's.
J. F.
This place was OK. Lots of people were not wearing masks. I know this is not mandatory but come on. You would assume that the supermarket would promote this. Goods were the same as any other and service was similar.
G. “. O.
Lots of offers, clothes and food as well
b. G.
Has a good quality of clothing and home items. The store it self has become a big hit for me since having Argos put in side the store. There is always some fantastic deals to snapped up. The cafe is fantastic and has a selection of of different foods but overall the cafe has a nice vibe to it.
C. D.
Sainsbury's Marsh Mills is OK. It's a lot smaller inside than it looks from the outside. Not a lot of choices compared to Tesco Lee Mill which is just down the road if you can drive.
R. S.
Not a regular shopper here
But was stood in queue when staff came and took me to smart shop. Great idea saved me standing in long line at cash till.. he was externally helpful. A pleasant shopping experience. Will come again..
S. C.
Well organised supermarket but sometimes slightly limited variety
D. J.
Excellent store, take note that the car park is large but can get very busy! Fuel is usually a good price too. Good bakery and fresh foods.
There's a cafe on site too, standard Sainsbury's type.
The space is welcoming and staff helpful. Cash machines outside.
R. W.
Very good store
C.
Good range of items. Has a clothing section in case you forget your swimming trunks...like I did!
Has an Argos in store too.
P. T.
Just because the lady on the tannoy keeps saying that Sainsbury's are doing all they can to keep people socially distanced, doesn't mean that people actually bother. Putting tape on the floor doesn't stop people leaning over you to get stuff off the shelf and whilst most had masks on there were still plenty who didn't. Decent enough supermarket though, just didn't feel comfortable shopping there in the current climate.
C.
Big supermarket with big parking spaces.
R. B.
Well stocked supermarket with plenty of parking and the petrol is cheap today. As first timers we found the layout rather confusing and awkward, were in wrong lane to get to the petrol station from main road then difficult to get in queue for petrol from supermarket, then hard to find way to main road from petrol station but did make it. Some improvements to signage at least would help, if not completely rethinking layout might be useful.
r. g.
Everything is well marked and the store is well stocked. Plenty of clothes to look at and buy as well. The car park is huge so there is plenty of parking. Their is a petrol station there as well
D.
It's OK but not my 1st choice of supermarket.i don't mind shopping but always look forward to getting out of that one and really not sure why, only really go there when using the argos at same time.
R.
A very good variety of many different products here. Staff are always lovely. Supermarket is well set out. Clothing line is brilliant and I do shop for clothes here often. Prices are reasonable.
C. J.
Good social distancing set-up, sometimes have to wait, but once inside the usual selection is there. Some fresh items and hot pizza still unavailable. Other than that seems easy enough.
J. L.
Sainsburys was Sainsburys ....just what it says on the tin ...🙂🙂😊
G. E.
Although the shop itself is okay an much like any other Sainsburys the car park layout just causes chaos getting in or out and can be a bit of a maze. For example you have to know that to go to the shop then get fuel then get back to the A38 that you come in one way go to the car park go back the way you came for fuel and then back through the car park and out another exit the other side of the car park.
T. T.
Sainsbury Petrol station next door..good place to top up and get refreshments for return journeys...
A. H.
Friendly staff but I didn't realise that they are no longer using any bags at the till. I had bought a load of shopping and nothing to put it in. If you visit make sure you have your own bags
R. S.
Edge of city shopping lots of parking & large restaurant.
N. W.
Fantastic store ....has everything you want ....only down side is you buy too much !!
L. G.
It's a Sainsburys, and a fair sized one at that. What more can I say. Several fresh prepared food areas were closed due to Covid, but generally well stocked with a good range plus Argos, pharmacy and Timpsons in store.
S.
One of the largest out of town supermarkets in Plymouth. Clean and functional.
N. M.
One of the better supermarkets in Plymouth, even better now it has an Argos in it!
Cafe service can be really slow.
k. j.
Increased by one star from last review.
The reason is smart shop... Takes away the necessity, in most cases, of having to ask any staff any questions.
Petrol station staff are still far too preoccupied with their own personal conversations to respectfully serve anyone who dares not to pay at the pump. Food prices are a bit better now and quality has improved somewhat. Best ring doughnuts. FACT.
S. M.
I think all superstores are getting complacent with Covid 19 and need to be stricter with queuing. Cashier charged me twice for one item. Couldn't rectify it and had to wait at customer service for 20 minutes while 5 people tried to solve a problem for another customer
G. W.
Very conveniently located just off the A38. A store that has everything you need + fuel ⛽. Innovative sail design, which makes this store look unique so cannot be missed. Plenty of parking 🅿 as would be expected but does get very busy... ☺️
J. M.
I am not happy any more with this Sainsbury's, Alder Road, the garage never has plastic gloves out and looks a shambles. I travel all over the South and the other Sainsbury's I visit are far superior.
J. P.
Medium sized branch of this chain. Timpsons keys & shoe repairs. Petrol station and cafe. Bakery and deli -when covid rules allow. Situated on small retail park opposite M&S.
W. H.
Sainsbury's have never let me down. Plenty of stock on shelves. Staff happy to help but with Covid from a distance. Till staff still as friendly. Other than wearing a mask you wouldn't know there was a world pandemic going on in the sanctuary that is my local Sainsbury's.
L.
Staff were lovely and answered all questions politely and were very helpful. Xx
T. T.
It's a supermarket, wot else can I say!
l. (.
Like a supermarket. They sell loads of stuff. Got a clothing dept, cafe and Argos. Also hot chicken pasty and pizza counter and sushi counter made fresh in store. Has an in store bakery too. Online delivery department or you can order to pick up outside - click n collect. Also Smartshop so you can scan and pack as you go around and pay at end. Kiosk sells newspapers, Lottery and Tobacco and has Customer Services. Toilets and baby change and Disabled Toilet in store. Timpsons and Specsavers in store. Travel Money bureau instore, and Pharmacy.
H. W.
Nice shopping experience. Big, flat, reasonably well lit car park. Trollies that go in straight lines - bonus!
The shop is clean and bright, a good selection of clothes both children's and adults, a good size range, even in the men's section.
The usual variety of stock available, uncluttered aisles. But the best thing for me is that they still have till staff, so you don't need to process it all yourself, great after a long day at work. Nice shop Sainsbury's, well done.
J. P.
They have done a brilliant job of setting up the store and signage with simple yet clear instructions, there was not a moment of lengthy queuing or concern for social distancing and the staff were very helpful as always. Only downside was directions to the pick up point as we didn't drive there, car park was clearly marked but the pick up point was not unfortunately.
Я.
Easy set up supermarket, every you need on your weekly shop.
J. R.
Staff at the Click & Collect area are always nice, friendly and helpful. Explain about things if you need to hand them back or changed your mind. Never come close to you and stick to covid-19 rules as well...very happy
R. S.
Best supermarket. The staff are really helpful and polite. Give me all the help I need as a disabled.
A. K.
Been there around 5 pm. The queue's quite long but the staff managed everything extremely well so it took about fifteen minutes to get in. I found everything I wanted to buy and was surprised that people kept all rules including social distancing. No queue at the till and all the toilets are open and clean.
F. E.
I'm disabled and the kind and helpfulness of the staff is what keeps me loyal. Everything is easy for me.
M. R.
I wanted to say that in my experience this was the best Sainsbury I've ever been to. Very well organised with a good stock of different items I only wish that every Sainsbury in my area was so good. I particularly noticed how clean and tidy it was. I came to one conclusion the person who manages this particular shop is really good at what he does and has a great team of people working for him.
M. C.
Great store. Organised. Fully stocked. Pleasant shopping experience on every occasion. There is something here for EVEYBODY.
B. T.
City center location, very cheap day tariff for parking. this is my new regular shopping store.
S. M.
Nice, big store. Lots of other outlets on site, Argos, Specsavers, travel money, pharmacy etc. There is a large free car park and also a petrol station here. The produce is very good quality and prices are competitive. The only downside to this supermarket is that it's on a busy intersection and when you leave you have to drive down the one way dual carriageway, bit annoying if you need to go the other way, but not much that can be done about it.
K. G.
They have increased number of click & collect slots and there is not much of a wait to pick up shopping at the time allocated. However, on the last occasion I found that cardboard boxes on frozen food were misshapen due to way they were packed and three items were missing.
L. H.
Prices have increased and they have put a new layout in place but sainsburys is just that sainsburys
O. B.
A large store well laid out with an Argos inside. Clothes, fresh and normal groceries can all be bought here. Its size and location can see it busy at peak times.
L. A.
Only visited the opticians but would NOT shop in Sainsbury's as they are very expensive.
N. B.
Needed argos here, and of course whilst I was there nipped round and picked up a few things, couldn't get a few bits I wanted but overall very good. Thanks. 👍
P. T.
Store has plenty of stock and variety. Went to cafe, poorly staffed, very slow, queued for 20 minutes, about 15 people waiting. Lot's of staff picking up and tidying, but only 2 making coffee and covering tills, reassignment of staff to speed up the initial process would be a great improvement.
A. D.
I only visit this for big food shops but have sometimes visited for the Argos which is located at the back of the store. This Sainsbury's is big with a large car park. All the staff I've encountered have been kind and I will likely come here again.
A. E. (.
Large store with lots of parking. A nice range of reasonably priced produce. Good selection of fruit and vegetables. Frozen section is limited. There is a bakery, fishmonger, restaurant and pharmacy within the store. There's also a hand wash car service here while you shop.
N. R.
Basically my favourite activity is being rammed by shopping trolleys that are being driven by elderly people. Because of this I absolutely love this Sainsbury's, it is a bit tricky when I go there because I have to keep whisking my family members out of the way, also I am a great fan of the policy to allow literally ANYONE use the parent and child parking spaces, I mean why not?! It's not like they are solely designated for parents (or adults if any sort) with children - so you don't have to go so far with toddlers and so you can get the car door open wide enough to get a baby out. I do agree though - it is my own fault for having children in the first place.
C. L.
Great little local supermarket! It even caters to the lactose free and vegan with their greek yoghurts. Quick and easy self service, and it never seems to be too busy in there. It also has some decent wines on offer.
S. H.
Awesome store. Ample parking. Super friendly staff. Only downside is we spend too much money on seeing offers rather than just sticking to what we actually went to the store to buy. My grandson was with us (he is 7 yrs old) and he was amazed at how bigger and better this store is to 'his' one in torpoint. Bless him. 😊
N. T.
Great range of products and not all more expensive than their competitors. Downside 1. Large trolley is very high so if you're short it is a big problem..2 selfservice checkout was having issues ... 3 the car parking bays are so small i couldn't get the very large trolley between the cars so i could put my groceries into the hatch.
F. M.
It was ok customer service was good although the membership staff mocked their clothing line by saying it was "impractical and bad quality" And then proceeded to mention that he bought his clothes else where. I didn't thought that this was inappropriate and I don't wish to return anytime soon.
s. j.
Great place always well stocked staff 100%
I. T.
Garage excellent and very comfortable shopping experience (not to crowded)
A. M.
The store has dealt admirably with the COVID-19 regulations. Combined with their updated Smartshop just did the first shop in 5 weeks. It was easy, with fantastic help and advice from staff at key points. Well marked for 2-metre distancing, and staff and customers following the rules, so at no point did it feel uncomfortable. Well done everyone.
w. l.
Great prices . For the month shopping and a petrol station next to it that for sure make the thinks esear. Another good experience is saving points on the nectar card that can be use for purchases on the future. Great job Sainsbury's.
P. M.
I Shop here once a week. Generally their stocktaking is pretty good. Pity the choices from the salad bar have been greatly reduced or it would have been 4 star
a. l.
The queue is managed sensibly, and politely. Once in, the store is clean , well set- out, and I found everything needed. Good quality, and variety of fruit and vegetables.
L. S.
Good selection of products if you go early enough but no one following social distancing and no staff to enforce it! the instore Argos is very efficient
K. S.
Staff are friendly. For what I was shopping for today and after web searches for all the different companies they had the best prices compared to others (this maybe different when you shop as you may not be buying the same item or at the same time of year). Shop has an easy layout making the item easy to find and even has an argos click and collect point in store.
M. F.
Good breakfast, amazing selection for shopping and cheap diesel, what more could you want.
T. H.
Very helpful staff and lovely clean store. Product easy to find.
J. C.
I do like this store. The only problem is its inconsistency. When it's full, clean and you are served by a fantastic colleague, it's a great place to shop. However at times the availability is poor, after a bad night shift the store is also poor 1st thing and certain colleagues treat you as an inconvenience. I have stopped using the restaurant as the service had nose dived recently and they never had what I wanted to eat.
P. L.
Nice supermarket with easy access onto the A38 and into Plymouth City centre. Car park is a decent size.
A. P.
It's a supermarket. Can get quite busy at peak times.
L. H.
Clean and tidy. Quite a treat in a supermarket cafè!
J. K.
One Sainsbury is much like any other. What else is there to say?
j. S.
Think sainsbury plymouth want to organise there petrol station better should put signs up outside on the main Rd no diesel. As people queueing not realising no diesel until they get to the pumps .. poor management
S. H.
Nice large supermarket with food isles aswell as the Tu clothes range , home comforts aswell as an in store Argos located at the back of the store also there is a sushi bar located in the heart of the store which is becoming quite popular. The inside pharmacy is a big hit aswell as the dry cleaners, specsavers and timpson shoe and key cut service you can print photos here aswell. Also the tobacco kiosk is at the front o the store along side customer services which is next to the cafe where anything from a full English breakfast or a quick drink and snack to a full out meal or a sandwhich... The menu has everything you could possibly want.
staff are very pleasant and are more than happy to help you with any query . Checkout staff are always friendly and asking how our experience was which was very welcomed.
For those with few items or in a rush there are several self service checkouts fully attended of course if you happen to need help.
Overall a nice shopping experience and would go back there Indeed
R. B.
Helpful service and well stocked.
B. C.
Good store generally. Pretty big home/clothing section. Cafe is ok and gets pretty busy. Self serve salad in the groceries section does not get topped up as often as it should and regularly runs out of the plastic containers. The in store Argos and Timpson are very useful.
J. V.
Easy access, good products, hard work getting out of the car park
R. J.
As good as Sainsbury's gets, prices up on some goods down on others. Café okay with reasonable choice of food, can be a bit of a wait when busy. Has a shoe repair and clothing repair shop as well as a travel agent in store. Restroom available and free parking. Has its own petrol station adjacent to main building.
J. W.
Excellent Supermarket bought some lovely clothes too. Plenty of parking and great 👍 that the cafe has opened up again.
A. H.
Fully stocked, staff around to assist. Has an Argos and a clothing section as well as fresh meat counters etc.
Also just added a sushi bar which is a nice addition.
G. R.
Torpoint Sainsburys is a very good store for wheelchair users. There is ample space in the aisles and staff are always on hand to help with out of reach items. I would recommend the self service aisles for paying as there is ample space and there is staff always on hand to help. One other aspect which is good is the click and collect for items not held by the store. It is an easy process to collect your item and staff are on hand to help if needed. Shop with confidence.
A. F.
They have recently discontinued a lot of things I habitually buy, and they are slow to restock some lines when they sell out. It has become frustrating to shop there, and expensive, too. Prices leap regularly, and they have all but a abandoned their Basics range. My income does not match their recent price - structure.
D. S.
Can always find what I need always get the help I need
c. h.
Popped in here for coffee, which was good. Service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly and helpful and it was very clean and well laid out for people social distancing.
M. M. M.
Sainsbury's is a very large Department Store with a lot on offer. There is everything that one needs for cooking and Cuisine.
Newspapers, Flowers, Plants, Frozen Food, etc...there is a Large car Park, and if you spend £10:00pounds in store, your Parking will be Free.
p. m.
I stopped for a bite to eat. Food wasn't bad but not great either. Place was kept clean and tidy. Staff were all polite and friendly. When all said and done, it's a supermarket serving supermarket food at reasonable prices.
M. B.
Purchased our annual Turkey Crown and Gammon Joint for Christmas and New Year. Was very satisfied we the quality of the meat but disappointed as to why we had to buy 2 bags for life to bring the meat home. I thought with fresh produce bags were free. Also had a voucher for £6 off when spent over £40 which we easily did but cashier couldn't process it and so we were given a gift card so had to go back on a separate occasion to use it. Can u explain why we were charged for the bags?
Z. H.
This is a great Sainsbury's located on the outskirts of Marsh Mills!🔥
There is a free car park outside, with a wheelchair accessible entrance. There is also a cash machine, and the bus stop is just near the petrol station.
Inside, there are toilets, as well as a Specsavers, Argos and other great shops.
The staff are very helpful and the stock here is great. There is also a cafe with some delicious food.
Overall, this is your average local supermarket!😀
P.
A huge store, many products were available.
Staff were friendly enough.
The roundabout getting there was an ordeal, but besides that all good
S.
I think most of the staff are lovely but there is one or two who make my time at Sainsburys feel a little bit not likable
C. H.
Plenty of parking as long as the park and ride mob haven't parked there. Good location and easy to get to. store has most of what you need and now also has an Argos. They also have in store a chemist, Specsavers, and also a travel agents. And have also heard they will be getting a fully laden sushi bar.
K. K.
This is fast becoming my favourite place to do my shopping. The offers are good, I love the in store patisserie and the sushi bar. The staff are helpful and friendly, theres loads of parking. I'm a sainsbury's fan!
C. T.
Always parking. Reduced food section. Argos inside as well. Usually has good deals on booze and wine. Petrol station as well. Sometimes queues to get in to car park as it's on a major intersection. Click and collect can in car park is also helpful. Nice home and clothing section.
K. M. (. a. Y.
Superb click and collect service, realy like the fact you can reject replacement items. Well organised, would like to see staff wearing maskes consistently but they do keep their distance.
J. C.
To busy when you first walk in clothing is the first thing you see when you walk in and house accessories making it feel more confusing argos and Lloyd's chemist are also located inside
b. b.
Shelves were mostly filled still a few low on stock but they are trying there best, very busy, it was good that most people were wearing masks.
R. N.
A large Sainsbury's, with ample parking for all, an Argos and Timpsons shop actually inside the place too. There is a good amount of stock in the store, the cafe is nicely sized and it is easy to navigate around with a pram. The store is well presented too.
J. O.
Love to shop here
G. S.
Through this extremely challenging time of social distancing from what I have seen staff in sainsburys Marsh Mills have been excellent. I saw a very abusive customer today and the member of staff on the door remained calm and was extremely professional. Well done Sainsburys
G. '. H. (.
fantastic range of vegan foods but loses a star as it can be real mare to get to as when it's busy marsh mills roundabout (sainsbury's is right on this roundabout) really clogs up with traffic. best to visit either first thing in the morning or later on in the evening when it is generally less busy.
W. -. K.
Very large Sainsburys....cheap fuel
Choose your car park exit carefully.
J. R.
Flower section very poor today, may be because it's later on in the day
D. C.
Love shopping here . Always end up buying something from TU. But hate having to queue for ages waiting to buy a coffee. I wish the small coffee shop part stayed open more often for people who want drinks quickly. So frustrating!!!
S. D.
I was pleasantly surprised when Mr Mark Richards at the Marsh Mills store in Plymouth who was stacking shelves went out of his way to help me find a product . He wasn't sure if they had it at all but offered to check at the back and obtained it for me. I would like it if his manager took note of this on his employee record.
C. J.
Great shopping experience as always. Some things low or missing from the shelves, but the majority of things are plentiful.
D.
Very popular store, gathers hundreds of shoppers. Has a very active Argos store at the back. All staff are polite and helpful. Gets abit crowded during certain hours and specifically around Christmas and when deals and offers are on.
J. S.
Busy as everywhere else at the start of a holiday weekend. But this place is large enough to handle it
a. s.
Busy busy busy. Lot of staff and well stocked shelves. It was a. Bank holiday 🤣
D. A.
Good parking and convenient location. Friendly staff and clean store overall. Good cafeteria, although from November 2018 it is opposite a new retail park with Costa, KFC and is close to a McDonalds. There is a Premier Inn and Beefeater across the road - very convenient.
R.
The usual well stocked and organised Sainsburys but with the bonus of sensible and efficient covid measures. This company seems to be one of the few who's staff haven't become defensive and rude and have remained friendly and cheerful.
J. W.
What is this nonsense about bags to put loose fruit and vegetables in? I for one will not be paying 30p for a reusable bag when paper bags would be a better alternative. My alternative is not to shop at Sainsbury, period.
D. M.
Great cafe lot's of places to sit and pleasant staff also quick service with a smile 🙂
A. B.
A brilliant shopping experience. Clean, safe, well staffed and stocked. Cannot fault their covid compliance. Terrific staff too.
s. l.
Had everything I needed for Xmas.
K. P.
It's a supermarket, and looking a little tired in places. Prices are typical Sainsbury's prices. Their Covid protection procedures leave a little to be desired. Parent and child parking spaces seem to be abused by none entitled more here than other supermarkets.
S. B.
Great shopping experience awaits you here with good customer service and prices. Get all that you want at one location
J. L.
Late evening is a good time to shop here.
Not very busy ,shelves well stocked and no chicanes or arrows like paignton or torquay.
Good location at Marsh mills too
J. L.
Plenty of parking, store is very spacious, staff are generally very helpful and polite
A.
Visit to cafe. Great food. Nice staff
P. G.
Had a late dinner in the fresh kitchen. The staff were really great because they were closing but did their utmost to accommodate myself and a group who were quite late. A special shout out to Peter who was really helpful and friendly. Thank you
J. W.
One of the larger supermarkets in Halifax. Always busy no matter what day of week you go. Recently undergone a refurbishment that has definitely increased the visit ability for the store. Facilities in store are good, one of the better options is the collection of holiday money and seems to be a good rate when ordered on-line first. There is loads of parking, just be aware of the proximity to North gate council car park which charges. There's a fuel station on site with car wash, air and water. It can get very busy at times here too.
L. G.
Good clean store. Very lovely staff in the cafe. Good food and service.
M. B.
There's lots on offer at Saintsbury's Marshmills you got you standard shop food, drink, clothes, etc. Also on site you have a cafe, argos, specsavers, drycleaners, shoe repair, key cutting and engraving services and the Hays travel agents.
M. M.
Great range of products
M. O.
Usual range of items and products for sale.
Has a good size cafe.
Polite and helpful staff. Store is generally clean and tidy. Plenty of space to get around.
P. D.
Better than other supermarkets, still could bring their prices down. They boast at being market leaders. PROVE IT, ELIMINATE ALL PLASTIC, only you have the power to demand this from your suppliers!
K. C.
Very busy store, tendancy to get bugged by the guys who want to wash your car whilst you shop. Their basic range is as good as any leading brands but they have stopped doing some of their basic range.
P. P.
Very nice shop for most things one needs on a weekly shopping trip, level flat free parking, Argos as well plus a cafe/restaurant and a Chemist, dry cleaning and a cobblers/keycutters.
And all under one roof.
J. M.
Great service and great staff well done all xxx
J. L.
Enormous supermarket, everyone was very friendly and helpful though.
D. C.
Staff helpful, clean and spacious, good lighting, good quality fresh products
K. L.
Always a pleasure to shop here, neat and tidy, staff quick to help, toilets Availabile, quality products. Lots of checkouts open.
P. G.
Sainsbury's is our local supermarket, that we have shopped in, since it was built. We were very disappointed, after Xmas, when, for several months after, they had horrible and intrusive music playing in the store. For a few weeks over Xmas, there were carols, which was pleasant, then no further music. However, this year, ( for the first time, ), they then switched to 'pop' music, played constantly, and excessively loud in various sections of the store.
I complained both by email, and verbally to the staff and other customers, who, almost without exception, agreed they disliked it.
Before, Sainsbury's was one of very few shops with no music playing, and was a joy. No other Sainsbury's we went into around the Country had music. We actively avoid Asda/Morrison, for that very reason.
We stopped going there, except for a quick shop.it was no longer pleasant.
I am pleased to report, that music is no longer being played, and is once again, our favourite supermarket
B. C.
A good sainsburys and if you are heading in to cornwall a perfect place to stop to get fuel or food ! Just off the A38 so you don;t need to detour to much.
Lots of food and choices as you would expect from Sainsburys.
There is also clothes and swimming suits if needed for the kids !
W.
Your average supermarket, has an onsite Argos collection point. Has a scan as you shop thing, very wide range of products and brands, including free from!
T. C.
The cafe is a usual stop for us with our children.
On this occasion the wait to be served was a little longer than normal. I had issues getting the correct prices for some of the cake items and was overcharged which had to be refunded, ordered a Panini from the fridge and had to wait five minutes before staff realised it needed cooking. Lady behind till was a little rushed with taking orders and regularly had to ask for help (a busy lunch period isn't so good for staff training), luckily a lad named Yan was running the coffee machine and was able to sort out any issues and keep customers happy.
Still good food and service.
A. C.
Big supermarket with wide selection of goods, located just off the main road through Plymouth. Petrol station too that has cheap fuel and free air and water. Masses of parking.
J. W.
All that you expect from Sainsbury's. My only criticism is that the quick serve coffee bar is never open. For those that want a quick drink it would be ideal instead you have to queue with those wanting hot food etc. This acts as a deterrent if time is an issue.
L. M.
The only thing I don't like is the car wash people hovering every time you park up. There is insufficient room for them to clean a car properly and also a high risk that they could bang into someone else's car during the process. They are always polite but personally I don't like it.
J. A.
Well laid out, smart shop available, pharmacy, cafe, clothes dept, Argos, toilets, kiosk, atm, petrol, Japanese dept, deli, bakery. All in all a good place to shop
B. B.
Very big so has a lot of products, a nice sushi bar too, and takeaway pizzas hot or cold. A lot of free parking.
J. N.
Excellent Sainbury's, probably one of the best I've been to in the country. Stocks products not available anywhere else in Plymouth and is a good shopping experience each time I go.
R. G.
Good selection of Gluten-free food. I found some new Gluten free bread called Promise that I've never seen before, very tasty.
A. B.
Call in here every week. My idea of shopping and will be for a long time. Haven't noticed much change in the prices but my bill is just a little higher.
J. B.
Big shop and well layed out. Overall good shopping complex.

Plenty of stock, but it was very crowded. 4 members of security stood at the entrance talking to each other (which is fine, but don't stand in the doorway!)

Department store with very good range. I had to return an item once and store was apologetic and made that easy to do. There is an Argos inside so I think that's handy.

Visited the fuel station, paid at pump and actually got a receipt. Fast and easy. Love the select amount of fuel feature on the pumps.

Always a banger!!! Loves a bit of Sainsburys!!! Everytime I go in there and want to yeet the older generation out the way but, other than that, I will always just tell the wife to go in.

Always busy and competitive

Some of the cheapest petrol I've spotted in Plymouth is delivered by Sainsbury's. There's a great choice of food, clothing and electricals available in the store, which is great. It's not renowned for being the cheapest supermarket in the world, but if you go in knowing this and expect to spend more then you won't be too disappointed.
I like the aspect of the food counters: meat, fish, hot food and patisserie.

Such friendly and helpful staff. It's good to know that as a disabled person, they will help when I'm struggling.

Great restaurant, great shop, has specs savers and argos in store. Bright and clean. Plenty of toilets, lots of parking and some in the shade. Very nice staff. 10/10 can't knock it

It’s Sainsbury’s- never disappoints

Look out for temporary deals on the dairy and non dairy sides , as one gets reduced then goes back up another gets reduced to take its place , ideal for bulk buys if you have space.

Helpful staff. Clean

It's Sainsburys

Cheap for what I needed ! Only down side was very busy and felt very one due because lots of people have no sense of direction during covid times ! But despite of this still good services .

Staff are very friendly, customers obeying face covering requirements. Still gaps in shelves at times, but able to do full grocery shop here.
S. L.
Easy access, large car park, good range of quality merchandise at reasonable prices.
The fuel prices are good and they provide free air and water points.

Nice store, easy parking. Store well spaced and will definitely be visiting again
J. J.
Click and collect leaves alot to be desired. Its basically a van in the middle of the car park. Even though signs ask you to wait in car they serve whoever walks up to them first rather than who arrived first and has been waiting in car

I shopped at Sainsbury's for the best part of 23 years the staff are absolutely brilliant so I'm happy to keep my loyalties in a place I know I'll be treated fairly and with respect sometimes they're impressed stock could be a little bit more robust other than that keep it up
A. M.
Love using the scan and pay. So easy. In and out
N. B.
Quite a big format Sainsbury's with clothing, non food, bakery.

Usual great Sainsbury’s store. Huge car park with easy level access. Convenient for lots of areas an easy to get too.

Great shopping experience. No queues here today

Well.. Sainsbury have a well deserved reputation for quality. One criticism, while I was there I saw that the last of the special offers potatoes were rotten /damaged. I saw a picker take two packs for two separate customers.. I said that she shouldn't give those out.. I asked her to look at them.. She did but still picked them. Maybe she could not speak English.. It's bad anyway. Online shoppers beware.

Called in for fuel. Always reasonably priced. Good store.

Love Devil's Point and Firestone Bay.
Car park a lot better now with the time restrictions.

Love this shop, easy parking, has everything I need & some... Leaving the Car Park can be a bit of a pain but it is based off one of Plymouths busiest roundabouts

Good food in the restaurant

Lovely place to shop, went and got some lovely clothes there 😍
R. N.
Good shop especially when you shop judicially. Sainsbury's own cheap coffee v. good compared with Morrisons.
T. B.
I like Marsh Mills Sainsburys. The lay out is good - wide aisles and nice and bright. Its not the cheapest but I enjoy the experience of shopping there. The is a cafe and petrol station too.
J. R.
Lots of good selection of produce, branded and own brand. However the produce is slightly more expensive than other shops. This store also has a clothing section, a Timpsons and an Argos store.
D. D.
Good selection of food drinks fresh vegetables and lovely collection of baby and adults clothes.
A. K.
Never feel that they are good value. Try to avoid tbh. Had 2 bad experiences with shop staff here that have never experienced elsewhere. Bad car access and exit too.
J. M.
Never shopped here until my son got a job here. Now I shop here a lot. Has a bad image of being over priced but it's easily as good value as Iceland, Tesco and Asda.
S. T.
Clean, bright store with a wide range of clothes, household items, food and a chemist. I always manage to get what I'm looking for, and find the fresh fruit and veg is usually good quality that lasts
M. C.
Loved the ladies clothes
M. M.
It's at the edge of town and it's easy to get to. Lots of parking, good selection of products, cheap fuel. Cafe and other bits. It's the nicest Sainsburys I know. Their croissants and pastries are the best.
L. S.
Got almost everything you might need in there, gets a little too busy for my liking but that's good for business. Friendly staff, generally good standards within the store ext.
K. S.
Big store with a good variety of groceries goods! Including an instore argos, toilets, key cutters and a cafe.
M. C.
Came in to buy grand daughter some clothes but absolutely nothing her size age 13 😢
T. V.
Lovely range of products, always good fast service at the tills.
F. K.
I love Sainsbury's, however there seems to be price rises almost all the time I go now. Pity about this as it fast became a favourite of mine. I like that there's an Argos inside and also that air and water are free.
R. f.
It's a great place to go for all of your common needs, if you want a phone, there is one in Sainbury's if you want a new light there is one in Sainbury's, and there is almost always a parking space, you'll just have to have a good look around
B. S.
Well laid out very obliging staff will definitely shop here on a regular basis and following all government covid guide lines nice to see .

Sadly, I have to say that Sainsbury's has been getting very 'tired' for some time. The staff are fabulous BUT try and find some decent fresh fruit to purchase after (say) midday and you may well be disappointed. Heard today that there may be a merger with ASDA (Walmart). Think that could be very good news/may bring a bit of a shake up? MUST SAY, that the Argos section in-store is fabulous. Sorry Sainsbury's. Sort out your fresh fruit?
S. W.
Sainsbury's is perfect for shopping, they all ways make sure you know all the new deals. Also the argos within sainsbury's are very helpful. Fast and quick
A. J.
Great shopping at reasonable prices, friendly, helpful staff, lots of parking and good access in and out of the car park.
