Ever vegetable available. Fresh clean produce.. The staff are very helpful and polite. They also have a very good Butchery available with every cut of meat except pork and they do some splendid money saver deals. I recommend it implicitly.

Great large store for exotic supplies. This is where I get most of my packaged herbs, spices, mixes, blends & sauces. It can be a source of fresh exotic produce aswell but unfortunately I haven't been impressed with the fresh food that I've purchased from here over the years, with most of it not fit for consumption & resulting in having to throw most (& frustratingly in many cases all) of it away. In my experience over time, I've had better success from the fresh produce displayed inside the building as apposed to what is displayed outside. Produce harvested in season also is a big factor for me, Foods like Mango's & Watermelon in the middle of Winter tend NOT to be fresh or crispy and lack the flavour that I adore. That being said, occasionally when I visit the store for my packaged goods, there is an odd occasion that using the skills my parents & Grandmother taught me for selecting good fresh food (colouring, texture, scratch'n'sniff & giving it a good squeeze etc), I have come away with items that have enabled me to cook some great authentic dishes that I could not make if I only shopped in Supermarkets like Sainsbury's, Waitrose or your Lidl's.

A very convenient store for fruit, vegetables, meat and groceries that at times is full of rotten fruits that definitely need throwing away. One has to look and check very carefully before purchasing first. It seems the quality control is very bad indeed for inspection what to keep and what to throw. The store is generally cluttered and on occasions it’s hard to move around the shelves. The till service is rather slow at times and there’s no one helping to pack for the elderly and needy. The car park area is in a mess and crowded at times. The same situation is at the back and side of the store - filthy with litter all over the ground ! Definite in need of improvement.

Fragile items were protected in a separate box and chilled items in appropriate packaging. Delivery was next day but I see they have collection options too so I may try that next. Pleased to have found the online store and to have access to the vast range of goods offered by Exotic.

They have lots of variety of Indian groceries. However many times there is 2 for 1 offer but the cashier will not pass on the offer and will charge you for both the items. So please do check your receipt before leaving the store

It was an experience going here. If you're after exotic food then this is a good place to shop. However they also sell plain ordinary things like clothes washing liquid and mcvities chocolate biscuits. Minus 2 stars for a full car park and I couldn't find the trolleys so ended up lugging 2 baskets around instead. Apparently we're going back next month.

This is a great "alternative " grocery store. Be warned though that if you have any leaning to exotic foods you may spend more than you intended. There are a few similar stores along Oxford road and all have a uniqueness about them. Great for spices and fresh fruit and veg. Prices seem very competitive.

Exotic Superstore is the best Asian supermarket in Reading. Excellent veg at great prices, all the groceries you could expect (well, MTR range can be patchy), and a butchers. Crucially they are taking the pandemic seriously: cashiers are protected by perspex boxes, customers watch each others personal space, nearly everyone masked up.

Amazing amount of good quality "dry store" nuts, seeds, grains, pulses, dried fruits. Tinned goods, fresh fruit and veg. Fresh Halal meat frozen fish a lot "exotic" types. Fantastic fresh fruit and veg, great prices, very low for such good quality. Shop seems to go on forever. get to the end of 1 aisle to find the next packed with more interesting things. Only downside is some staff aren't very friendly and actually seem to not want to serve you.

Probably the best Asian food store in the area. An awesome array of food products, everything you could possibly want. Terrific fruit and veg as well. Check out the £1 bags , huge sacks of rice, bulk bags of spices,pulses and grains. There's a good butcher and also a great selection of Polish foods.

Love this place for all my indian veggies spices and meat. Halal meat is always fresh the butchers are always friendly. It's not the cheapest but the quality is good. Just watch out for parking. Max stay is 1 hour so make sure you buy your meat first (sometimes there is a queue)

I tried the fresh meat from here and it wasn't very good. I don't get my meat from here anymore. They have a good selection of world foods and a really good section for frozen halal food. great place to get your vegetable and spices from. The meat section is utterly disgusting though. Butchers sometimes touch and serve meat without gloves. The bags they put them in are usually contaminated with all sort of juices and meats because of the way they handle it. They once gave me change which had fresh chicken juices on it because that's the hand he used to pack and serve it. If they get rid or improve that section it could be a great local shop. for now, i'll be buying meats elsewhere.

The Fruit and Veg is better here than at many other large supermarkets, the only place with better fruit nearby is wait-rose. The staff are friendly and the price is low, with a variety of different items that you wouldn't think would be in a small shop like this. For example i couldn't find any shop that sold single wispa bars, but they sell them here! I live very very locally to this shop and recommend to anyone that needs that quick fix of fruit for breakfast
