This is the largest Asian supermarket in Reading. Big selections for Asian vegetables, fruits, fresh noodles, instant noodles, frozen meat ball, hotpot meats, seasonings, rice, snack, kitchen equipment & mooncakes. Overall the selling price is acceptable. Except the price for the fruits & vegetables are little bit pricey, it may included a transportation costs from Asia to UK.

Oriental Express!! The location is bit secluded but you feel so happy when you reach there. When you enter, you will be welcomed by some religious chimes (obviously they are bit expensive), towards left is toilets. They are just the size of people! Then you are welcomed by a long fruits and vegetable aisle that continues with dumpling/gyoza section. If you love them try to be on time in the first hour. The store is cash and carry which gives the idea of small store with everything here and there but it is BIG so that it is divided into two visible sections-front display sections and back is storage section with heavy bulky products. The front section has several aisles-one with frozen sea food items, next with soya sauces and vinegar of several types, chilli oil. Next with pickle, rice, beans, chillies. One of the isle is totally dedicated to noodles of China, Malaysia and Japan. It has a massive variety of pork scratching selection. If you are thinking of some China clay/porcelain items-you can find some there. The kitchen items like the iron wok of various sizes are available. If you want to make Gods happy, there are items to make them happy. If you are looking for wide variety of rice-just check it your type. The store attendants are busy helping you or filling the places with suitable products. There are three tills where the ladies are always happy to help you out. They take both cash and credit. And also give student discount when you present valid students card. And yes they do have some oriental liquor-Japanese, Chinese and Korean items which are bit expensive but if you like to experience it, they may worth it.

This is the best Chinese/Southeast Asian supermarket in the Reading area. I've been a loyal customer for 15 years now, and I'm always shocked to see the variety & quality of fresh & frozen foods they have on offer. The fresh section has everything from fresh vegetables, fruits & ready prepared foods to an excellent frozen food section that contains everything from a gazillion types of dumplings to an array of frozen seafood options as varied as clams to whole fish and everything in between. They also carry a range of Indian sauces/spice mixes such as prepared Patak's seasonings & hot sauces. Overall this store is brilliant, I love having an excuse to visit!

I got the bad Nashi pear from the shop again! You couldn't find this problem in the shop as they were wrapped by white packaging. Don't know if someone mixed bad pear inside package by purpose or by mistake. But 2 out of 3 purchases had this problem. It's quite disappointing. Great place, great prices. Fantastic selection, enviable instant noodle aisle. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Only issue is they don't have contactless payments, they do take chip & pin though. Everyone was respectful, kept their distance. The shop floor does seem to mostly wheelchair accessible, just might be difficult to see/get stuff on higher shelves.

When I moved to Reading it was an alright shop the shop is misleading because it's not like the green See Woo in London where you get lobsters in tanks- see woo reading there is no live lobsters. It has basic oriental ingredients but not enough. You can't even buy dragon fruit or star fruit not a lot of oriental fruits but london seewoo you can. If I want to cook basic oriental dishes then I can buy it there. If I need to make sophisticated oriental food I would go to london because I can find things easier and sometimes fresher in london. The bright side of the shop is it does have pandan cake and other yummy pastry that you Norma find in china town london but overall the warehouse does not help me alot when I need to make sophisticated Japanese, korean or vietnamese cuisine

The variety of delicious food and drink products from East Asia and South East Asia is excellent. The prices in general are also excellent. If you like tropical fruits and vegetables, then SeeWoo is an ideal place for you to do your shopping. Tropical fruits and vegetables are sold fresh as well as in tins and other form of containers. I like the flavoured instant noodles on sale. The noodles are sold in individual packets as well as in boxes of 30 to 40 packets. Flavoured fish and meat are delicious. If you are a person who likes cooking East Asian or South East Asian dishes, then SeeWoo is the ideal place for you to do your shopping. The sacks of rice on sale have a good value of money. Owners of restaurants and take away food outlets come to SeeWoo on a regular basis to buy stocks in order to run their business. I will definitely come and do shopping again at SeeWoo in the future.

Really well stocked Asian supermarket. Well stocked with fresh produce and really good value store cupboard staples for virtually any kitchen. Mostly oriental food but something for everyone and I have it on much better authority than my own that this is the best place to go for many miles in Reading. Even it oriental food isn't your thing I'd go here for the dried herbs and spices alone. Huge bags of bay and dried chillies for way cheaper than the supermarkets and great quality.

Overall, not as cheap as Wing Yip but for us, much more convenient to get to. Variety of oriental cooking ingredients and typical Chinese snacks is very good. Staff are quick, efficient and helpful and speak English if you don't know the lingo. All it needs now is a little restaurant beside it like lots of the other Chinese supermarkets in London and it'll be truly sorted!! Parking is free and plentiful.

Leo Beer! As Thailand is closed to visitors, I was able to recreate the Thai experience at home with some authentic Maesiri Pad Thai sauce and an ice cold Leo. Other items I purchased were Gochujung chilli paste, potato starch, 1.8l of premium dark soy sauce and some utensils. Open seven days a week is a bonus, I can see myself becoming a regular visitor to this excellent shop.

This branch of Seewoo didn’t really adapt to the COVID-19 situation. Let’s just say my wife & I are extra sensitive about COVID, but do like Asian ingredients. We were regular shoppers here till the pandemic. Now we only physically visit one very local supermarket that allows 100% scannable self purchase and pay - place purchases directly into shopping bags as we shop and barcode scan for payment. So we’ve been ordering our Asian ingredients and rice online instead ever since. I check Seewoo’s website from time to time but the only change they’ve made is to say only one shopper from a family at one time. No local deliveries, not even click and collect. The 4 stars apply to shoppers willing to venture into a conventional Asian cash and carry.

OK Chinese cash and carry. It's not big but unless you're prepared to drive to Wembley or Croydon then this is pretty good for what it is. They sell fresh vegetables, frozen produce, baked goods, roast duck, pork, drinks, packaging, sauces, flour, dumplings, Noodles, ramen, rice etc. The main focus is Chinese, but they also stock Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and some Indian ingredients. It's a little expensive but if you're desperate for real Asian cooking ingredients then this is the only place to go.
