Reviews of Longton Indoor Market
A breath of fresh air, still a thriving indoor market, the sad point is that there are empty stalls. well organised market with fresh clean toilets. The market cafe is worth a visit, pleasent friendly atmosphere, the meals and snacks, coffee, tea are all really well priced and affordable and the quality is 5xxxxx. Be sure to visit the oatcake stall which sell top quality oatcakes, not too thin or too thick and of a decent size, excellent value for the money. What makes this and the town centre is the free parking on the car park by matalan and all close together, cafes and all sorts of shops make this place an all in pleasent shopping experience. Indoor market open Wednesday, Friday and saturday.well worth a visit.
Plenty of room to manoeuvre, lots of different stalls, two cafes, modern toilets, very accessible. Parking on nearby tesco.
Longton market is a lovely place to shop in and undercover as well, the place is spotless as are the toilets, wheelchair accessible, choice of two cafe's and everyone is friendly
Updated .March 22. Much better today. Most stalls now open and quite busy. Was good to see things picking up. Previous..Some stalls are closed but not as many as Hanley market. Got what I wanted at a good price.
Good selection of business es plus 2 cafes very clean toilets new veg store lovely selection
A great place to shop for locally sourced products just a shame that half of the stalls are currently vacant
A great market which I've used for 4 decades ,anything I've needed always say get it from the market ,such a shame to see so many stalls empty come on traders let's get them up and running again and have the market to its former glory ..
Brilliant. Love the people in here. And I love the butchers. The meat it beautiful. I got some chuck meat for a lobby and it was lovely. Got my veg from there too.
Lovely place lots of good stalls, my faves are Sharon's Cheese Stall and Foley Oatcakes 😍
Like all local markets this one has a lot of empty stalls still a reasonably good selection of items but not as vibrant as it once was
Longton market has lots of stalls that range of fruit meat clothes cards shoes and lots more all under one roof
Very pleasant friendly stallholders. Good variety of products from cheese butchers clothing sweets fresh fruit and vegetables card stalls to name a few.
Stalls still a bit limited but always good quality fresh produce. Nice to make your money count where it matters most. Its important to shop local.
Shame it is not as busy as it used to be, but good range of items in different stalls especially the oatcakes stall, lovely thin and fresh, nice little coffee and food place, butchers with fresh meat and lots of other goods to see and buy
Not bad needs more open stalls.
Good variety of stalls and goods to buy. Every one is helpful and friendly.
Great little market got a good selection of goods at reasonable prices.
Quite disappointing to see so many of the stalls closed, I have use this market for the last 30yrs or so and every stall was open and it was fabulous then
Such a lovely place but so many stalls are closed shame still the stalls that we visited were great n helpful and produce gud quality
Was a brilliant market till It was refurbished. Now not many stalls open due to rent increases it is such a shame has been there for a very long time it is part of longton heritage would be sad to loose it.
I remember this indoor market before it all changed many years ago. Its still managed to retain the 'feel' of a market stall centre. Many stalls offering a variety of items, and Im pleased to see most of the original stalls still doing well and stayed the test of time.
Excellent service, good traditional communication skills from stall holders.
I recommend the mobile phone man, health shop and cafe facilities and the butchers stalls. We'll done to one and all. If it wasn't for the market, I doubt I would bother Longton.
Used to be busy but a lot of stalls closed now
The market always brings back childhood memories.
I wish more people used the market's so there was no chance of them closing down.
All the shop's were amazing.. cheaper than supermarket and the personal live and attention you get is what life is all about.
10/10 on everything xxx
This is a great little market and needs support. Sharon's cheese stall is fantastic, a wide range of fresh cheese, best butter and eggs. There is a great veg stall, oatcakes, butchers and everything else you would expect, even a plastic free shop.
Fantastic place. Car parking- everywhere is pay and display but there are plenty near enough to the market and it's easy to find from where we parked. Wonderful little market though with lots to offer and decent opening times. Definately pay a visit to 'life unwrapped' and 'dots sweet shop'
Great place to visit, Support our local markets , From Books to Cheese
Never been before. Its what I imagine an old school indoor market should be like. Pretty good.
Farely decent sized but average indoor market. Has excellent fruit and vegetables stalls and a variety of butchers, clothing stalls, pet supply, cafe, nicnac stalls and sweet stalls. The second hand book stall is always worth perusal. Along one side there are some nice shops that can be entered from the market as well as the street which is useful.
A lovely market with many well established and popular market traders. Footfall is low, particularly during this phase of the pandemic. The traders need our support so why not try a visit
Long time since I've been there due to walking problems however used to go often as its always a friendly atmosphere a good variety of stalls.
I also think it is important to support our local markets.
Poorly maintained place. Highly wastefull heating system. I really dont understand markets anymore they are not competitive at all. Loads of empty stalls half are empty. There are 2 cafes one ok busy cafe and one small cafe at the bottom that I waited that long for to be served I walked away. It was like we were not standing there. 3 day a week opening also no good these days.
Usually collect myself but obviously cant at the moment. Just received my delivery. Came when they said it would and meat beautiful as always. Delivery charge not expensive either. Keep up the good work
Nice and friendly good market could do with more shops in the precinct.
Was good cafe in there. nice clean needs more stalls open
Good quality produce is found here, with dedicated merchants offering their wares. Other shops adjacent the market add to the spectrum of choices available. Do not conclude that Longton as a centre for shopping is dead!
A lovely little market that does not get used as much as it should do. Quality produce and friendly staff on all the stalls.
Market was good access is poor for disabled wheelchair users
Excellent shops. Well worth a visit and support local traders.
Quite a good little indoor market selling all sorts of things .quite a nice cafe which has been extended. Few stores empty due to what is happening at the moment
have been going here for over 50 years.. it's still old fashioned though with some great bargains to be had. Theres a couple of cafes too
Too many stalls are closed
Everyone is always helpful and pleasant

We have dun a ghost Hunt here and we have had a great time here and the ghost Hunting team where very good and the manager was very helpful and friendly i would recommend eney one to visit the market in the day time to see the market in all it's splendor
Small but adequate, shame to see stalls have gone.
Lots to choose from and a good selection of stalls people always very nice helpful and polite the café is a very place to have something eat and drink
This market as been going for years but same as all markets they are having a rough time they are falling foul to the internet and the Stoke on Trent council don't seem to help out they could do a lot more to help once they are gone that's another part of Stoke's history gone.
The only place left in longton with a descent butchers and a good choice of fresh meat ,cheese and cold cuts a no amongst a wide range of other stalls makes it a must when visiting longton
Love the indoor Market. It could do with a few more stalls but with the covid I totally understand.
Some stalls open and not bad prices
Lovely market can get mostly what you want.Good quality meat, lovely veg stall been going for yrs.Foleys oatcake stall.Good café that serves good food & drinks
Clean an tidy place and enjoyable to walk around the stalls.
Lots of independent stalls in the market, very friendly staff. Two cafes open in market. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Open 9.00am - 5.00pm.
A shadow of what it used to be, it desperately needs local support and some investment.
Derbyshire fruit and veg brilliant rest of market could do with a few more decent stands but thats the way of the world
Have been gping every saturday for ladt 50yrs at least since i was a child..i buy fresh meat from butcher&veg from greengrocer..plus bits&bobs..
Excellent choice. I cannot understand why more local people don't use the market instead of Tesco
I really like this market as it leads into the outer shops to. Butchers are great value also I use there wool shop
Great market; you can get everything in here and it's convenient for car parking nearby. Best value you will get!
Be better if the stalls were all taken up so there would be more to look at and to buy
We go for quality cheese and meat. Nice atmosphere here. Free parking across the road
Good range of market stalls. Very good meat sellers, second hand books. Great cafe
Ok
Going down bank lot of stalls empty somebody with new ideas
Nice and vintage with plenty of stalls
Brilliant 5star.
Great café, good selection of stalls with fair prices and friendly service.
Lovely place .I think is very stupid to o open just few days a week . If people know the market open all week they come . You should think a bout that
I like to support small local businesses and there are a nice mix of different trades here.
Again needs all store's opening.
After covid.
Still get the odd bargain.
Bargains but can't understand why it's only open Wednesday Friday and Saturday probably some draconian law but when open it's great for the things that are essential and cheap
Best market in stoke, can always find what you need, lovely atmosphere, really friendly 😊
Little cafe is brilliant and a lot cheaper than the rest in Longton
