Reviews of Sainsbury's
C. C.
Plenty of nice produce.
Staff very helpful
Just wish there had been more checkouts open.
The self checkouts were really busy
There were a lot of people queuing to pay. Eventually staff were requested to open more checkouts
Over the tanoy.
Better late than never I suppose
Overall a nice supermarket
A. M.
I shop often at this store and don't have any issues with the layout. The only thing that does hinder a 5 star review is that there are often multiple people outside the store begging. I don't mind helping when and where I can but to harass people as they enter / leave the store needs to be addressed.
C. B.
Store was not too busy and very clean. However the carpark needs to be better monitored, at least 3 cars parked in disabled spaces with no blue badges and childless parking in parent and child.
R.
Have been shopping here for several years now. Staff are helpful. Store is clean and stocked. Also the customer toilets are clean and well maintained. There is a cafe, bakery, pharmacy and also a patrol station. Also you can get clothes and household equipment as well. There are plenty of parking spaces which is free for 3 hours. Only downside with Sainsbury's is the item prices are higher than the other supermarkets. But quality wise they are very good. Also there is a Argos shop inside the store, which helpful if you want to buy from Argos.
K. F.
No staff on checkouts again .....tut tut 11 checkouts two on with big ques ...shelves a lot of them were empty ....come on sainsbury you are better than this over all very poor experience 😢 and one which would mean in honest you would not visit again ...also three staff stood at security camera laughing about a customer ...maybe better off jumping on a till and help the people who pay your wages ....in the nicest possible way
P. J. H.
Finally, they've got in store free wifi for the smart shop. I'd previously had to use my mobile data, which costs to use.
The lack of manned checkouts, originally promted me to get the smartshop app; as even the self service check outs were becoming busy.
Once you get the app, you login with your nectar card details. Then the first time in store, select the o2 wifi and give them your number, email, personal details.
P. B.
Everything's fine, it is a sainsbury, but they close the assisted check out towards the end and only self check is left open which is fine but there is only so much space to put your groceries and if you have bought quite a few you need multiple receipts because you can't fit everything on such a small tray.
L. n.
This supermarket is nowhere near as good as it was. Lots of empty shelves and freezers. Only a few tills open and the staff all seem to be depressed where they used to be happy and friendly.
k. L.
It is a really nice store. Love the homeware dept. However really disappointed that you haven't got changing rooms open.
R. M.
A good store to buy Vegetarian Food suitable & tasty for Indian palate is available for reasonable prices !!
Thank You Sainsbury Supermarket !!
N. P.
Store is fine and well stocked, just need someone to stop the staff having their personal conversations at the checkout.
a. a.
Convenient but slightly higher priced compared to the other supermarket. Local to us though so i suppose we dont have much choice
J. G.
Clean. Polite staff. Easy products laid out.
s. p.
Great staff, store clean and well organised. Clean toilets. Great selection of food.
N. S.
Food selection fine. Clean store. Helpful staff. Easy to park. We often go there. Rather too many maskless individuals with low IQs when we were in there but I guess you can't have everything.
J. W.
Sainsburys seems to be downsizing which is very dissapointing, unable to find what you whst as once again they have moved everything around & less choice of foodstuff.
L. F.
Got what we wanted but it's still a pain not being able to use the fitting room. One particular young lady was helpful in the wine and spirit aisle think she was called Michelle.
k. m.
Like going here as there is plenty off room and not walking on top off each other as I can't deal with a lot off people in one place due to mental health issues and staff helpful
L. P.
I find this a great place to shop. Plenty of room to get around even when busy. Usually very well stocked.
L. M.
Well yesterday for the first time for awhile I went to Sainsbury's to get a few bits of shopping. Since my last review I've been had pneumonia for the 3rd time so am still very cautious about going out. Pleased to see customers are still being asked to wear masks, staff are wearing them (even at 7am when not many customers). Hand gels & sprays for trolleys are still very visible. Still stock missing off shelves which I appreciate isn't Sainsbury's fault. But I was sad to see they still have no deli. Fresh meat or fresh fish counters. I could choose exactly how much of something I wanted, being able to see all of a joint of meat not just a bit of it that's covered by clear plastic, also asking advice off counter staff, I tried asking floor staff but they know the product but not so well informed as counter staff. My store having a refit shortly I believe , so I hope this includes bringing these much loved counters back. Till staff are still lovely, friendly & helpful, I noticed a few more self service tills then before, & I was told during the refit some more are going in, Sainsbury's big bosses beware that's bad news, customers like to see a friendly face at tills, elderly customers especially. I'm a retired casher from the old Woolworths stores so I'm not fazed by serve yourself till s but some people are & find it confusing. I know staff at hand to help (normally 1 staff member) but won't be enough if several of us old dears have to use them.so I think you could lose quite a few customers or don't they count these days as they can't afford to spend as much as younger folk.
J. T.
Done click and collect, always a good service. Shopped inside for nice cards.
Happy customer, thank you.
H. D.
Café only does pre-made sandwiches that are then re-heated. Hot food counter has no hot food until after 11am.
N. C.
One entrance/exit was closed off but no thought to tell anyone at checkout or putting any signs up until you walked to the far end of the store and back.
I. F.
Good selection of products, clean and tidy, what else can I say it's a supermarket.
d. g.
Sainsburys sells a wide range of products, its own brand stuff is very good., good range of spices and cheese, ethnic food selection is improving, good beer and cider range
C. G.
Nice supermarket, well laid out, well stocked, nice clean store, prices reasonable, plenty of parking.
P. M.
Pleasant shopping experience not too busy just how I prefer it
M. E.
Good store, very good selection of clothes, easy to park
G. E.
A very good store ,there lovely cafe there two nice ladies which serve us. We found the best was large walking ways around the shop. Good parking as well .I recommend going there.
T. X.
Great staff here! Think they are so used to my face now lol
j. l.
Good store shame the cafes haven't resumed back to at least something decent on the menu
A. F.
Nice place to shop. Plenty of offers and promotions. I also like that you can buy clothes and accessories from them.
Since the lockdown, they closed their deli counters, and only selling freshly made hot food on the go. However, they now have new section selling great bargain value items, and international foods.
J. “.
Plenty of free parking (time limited) Clean well lit store. Uncluttered isles. Good choice of products. Own brand products very good. Lovely fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish. Self checkouts are a great bonus. Nothing at all to dislike about this store
r. k.
Excellent location with three hours of free parking,, wide well organised isle's, Large easy relaxed store with something for everyone. A larger selection of most fare at a price easy on the pocket, Sainsbury's own brand is really worth shopping for and the quality is certainly better than most stores. Clothing is affordable and the quality is excellent, a very large fresh fruit and veg selection. toys etc. Pleasent relaxed atmosphere ,Wheelchair friendly. Clean modern toilets. well informed friendly staff always on hand. Cafe is worth a visit, Garage on site cheaper than most other garages. five stars as with most Sainsbury's, Cafes in Sainsbury's are to be closed down and without these will never be the same, no longer worth a visit or five stars, better alternatives available and much cheaper.
S. S.
Excellent found everything we needed, but it's expensive compared to other supermarkets
d. h.
Nice clean and strangely quiet, glad I went late .
G. J.
A good selection of products and friendly staff.
S. H.
Wasn't to busy when I called in, able to get what I wanted right away and out. No fuss.
S. M. W.
Staff are nice and store clean. Wish they'd open the doors on the other side instead of just having the one entrance.
J. I.
As ever, great produce. Customer service great too
N. M.
Overall inside a pleasant shopping experience with nice wide aisles, unlike the two German discounters where people are leaning all over you. Fed up of seeing the wasters sitting down outside the store begging. None of us are flush with cash but we actually work for a living rather than sitting on our backsides pestering other people. High time they were shifted on.
C. Y.
A lot of empty shelves at the moment especially in the freezer section. Quite a few discounted products. Their thick smoked back bacon is the best for taste . Chicken breasts are excellent quality and very tender.
m. t.
Staff not as helpful as you might think, Good parking, clean store
D. B.
I was confused walking around here a better lay our is definitely needed
R. F.
Can’t exactly complain about Sainsbury’s! Been visiting the Stoke branch on and off since mid-2019, not the biggest branch in the area but a good range of groceries, homewares and even clothing. Has been hit hard by the HGV driver shortage and stock has been low lately, but this is not the fault of the staff, who are always brilliant and professional every time I visit. Only downside would be the “spare any change” brigade which hang around outside the car park entrance to the store - an issue you have everywhere admittedly, and it’s of course disheartening to see people in such a bad position where they resort to demeaning themselves begging - but the proximity to the city’s Salvation Army (rather thoughtlessly plonked between Stoke and Hartshill) exacerbates the issue. Great little supermarket though.
M. B.
very good, shelves a little untidy, but over all ok
D. P.
The doors were locked so you could not get in or out bad if there was a 🔥 fire
P. B.
Great store good clothes and good food good chat at the checkout
K. W.
Usual great food good quality - bit disappointed this time as had to complain about dates on food
N.
Dropping my Son to his Uni accommodation, and popped in this store for some shopping for him... Nice big store, toilets, cafe, well stocked shelves, home & clothes section, friendly staff.👌👍 Oh and a homeless man outside the door by the car park entrance! 😒
k. r.
Quality products, shame the butcher stall has gone.
C. W.
Lots of parking, friendly staff and effective set up.
A.
Only visited to use Lloyds Chemist inside but ended up buying a few things while there. Lovely store very cool in this warm weatger and staff are very helpful and courteous. Visit at least 2-3 a month and very useful having Argos inside too.
a. s.
Love shopping at Sainsbury's when I can love the clothes and they are so reasonably priced
M. H.
Very clean plenty of products, staff helpful and kind even with all the pressure that comes with dealing with the public especially during a pandemic covid 19 all this includes the petrol station. Well done folk's and thank you for carrying on regardless.
C. A.
It's a Suoermarket sells food and management policy supports whatever groups they think they will sell more to.
But apart from that a good selection of produce.
S. C.
As always Sainsburys was worth a shopping visit. Lots of fantastic products on sale, loads to tempt us for Xmas.
A. b.
Everything you need great range of fresh bread an cakes
L. T.
Not my favourite sainsbury's we prefer Hanley one but sadly closed now.
g. d.
Excellent, pity they closed the best shop in Stoke.
J. H.
It's getting expensive in there no cafe
K. W.
Always loved sainsbury's great quality and staff are always friendly
s. m.
Good for bits you want to get
S. B.
Not good at all this stoke sainsburys struggled find what i wanted and only one frozen food Isle ?
K. S. S.
Very well maintained and most of the products are easily available, Argos has all the electrical and electronics,
Ample parking along with fuel station
B. R.
Good choice of food and other products but there is an annoying minority in this store which do not respect personal space in these Covid times.
Staff are nice and friendly. It's fast and easy to shop if you use the SmartShop app and scan products directly onto your phone to pay at the self scan tills.
s. t.
I will definitely be going again because the last time I went to sainsbury I couldn't believe how expensive it was for gluten free and alternative milk and dairy free products but today I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable prices and loved the quality of the clothing and again affordable prices 5 stars + from me.
M. R.
My wife was in hospital and got everything she needed for her stay. Has Sainsbury's was close to hospital.. very grateful.
J. G.
The home section is great (like most Sainsbury’s with a home section), useful to have a recycling area outside the store alongside a fuel station! Most products are always available though the layout of the store is a little weird. Due to having two entrances it suffers from having the fruit/veg at one entrance which isn’t the same side as the car park. Meaning you need to do fruit/veg towards the end of the shop unless you want to walk all the way to the other side of the (large) store every time you come. The same can be said about the meat/dairy being the wrong side. Instead when you enter the store it starts with frozen and clothes then crisps/confectionary. Apart from this it’s a great store in which all the stock is usually on the shelves !!
C. M.
Very clean supermarket all produce was on show .very fast and efficient on the checkout asked if I wanted help with my packing could not fault anything .
C. M. (.
Tried the new scan and go app - it was fab loved being able to scan and pack as I went along. Had to go to the checkout self service bit to scan a barcode and pay. Was all so much easier especially as you can check each item and amount as you go round the store. Will definitely use again.
C. A.
Disabled toilet easy to access if on electric wheelchair, they are cept very clean.
There is a till set aside with a wider space to go through if you have a basket and the staff are very helpful if you need assistance.
a. a.
Lots of parking, wide range of products, nice home section where they also stock Habitat homeware. There is an Argos inside too which is convenient. Clothing and footwear for men, women and children. All major food and drink brands are stocked. It is a big, clean supermarket, I prefer this to other supermarkets because the isles are spaced out well. All appropriate social distancing measures are in place. There is also a petrol station which is handy.
L. S.
Fantastic staff and good quality products.
J. E.
It's pretty big so I think it's likely you'll find what you need.
l. p.
Shelves are very well stocked, fruit n veg is super fresh, everywhere is lovely and clean
N. a.
The shop its self is okay but outside there are rats running around and full of homeless people begging and drinking
K. B.
Best petrol prices 👌
Fuel prices are same as other supermarkets now
J. B.
Love sainsbury's they have everything I need. 🙂
M. P.
Wide range of goods in store. All top quality and at very good price
P. N.
Stoke Sainsbury's is a big store, stocks just about everything you could want in the food line. Has a great range of non food items and Tu clothing, on top of that there is a Argos outlet.
There is a massive car park, which is well laid out, and a Sainsbury's fuel service station.
T. H.
It is the only shop i feel safe in, there is alwats someone checking how many are in the shop, don.t let one in till ine comes out, your nerver surrounded with people, the only problem i gace is the staff don.t wear face masks, they are handling the things we pick up so they could easily drop droplets on to things, thats the only thing i don t like
S. L.
The lay out of the store is set out for piece of mind and safty to all customers. Like any other place you may visit, theres always a group of knobheads who think there clever by roaming around like there invincible and rules not applying to them. Being disabled to some extent it's a shame that a few absolutely brain dead numpties are the reason I keep away unless absolute necessary.
T. V.
Very rarely have a problem shopping here .
Of late no lettuce Of any sorts is rubbish
E. S.
Good place to shop, but the parking needs to me monitored with regards to the children and parent bays, I have a new born and could not park in any of the available bays as they were taken up by people who dont have children with them and do not need to park in the bays, very selfish and lazy humans, needs addressing and monitoring on a daily basis.
H. L.
Nice store. Enter by moving elevator that locks your trolley until you arrive at either end. The store has free WiFi which unfortunately attracts local school children in large numbers. The store has a cafe and a Argos outlet. It also has a Pharmacy and sells electrical items and many other varieties of goods beyond food. Staff are friendly and they have an lift for those who may need it. There is also a petrol station adjoining the Store and ample free car parking.
B. G.
Solid supermarket, can't really go wrong. Clean, friendly, helpful.
L. R.
I went to the petrol station. Staff are professional, polite and friendly. There was a one way system in place when paying. Overall satisfied with my purchase.
P. K.
Good shop, bit expensive if you compare to lidl or aldi but they have nectar card which after 2 years gave me 25 pounds credit
s. c.
Great food but toilets need checking more often no loo roll
M. M.
This place has gone downhill. Staff couldn't care a less. Staff in cafe will finish there conversation before they will bother serving you. Coffee is nice when u do get served but really some staff need a good kick up the a**. After looking at other reviews there seems to be an attitude dependant on what you look like.
S. G.
Nice good selection and well stocked. Free parking on site for 3 hours and restaurant on site also. Also noticed the checkout people don't throw your stuff at you as you go through the till. Much better and layed back approach to turbo Tracy at Aldi.
P. W.
A change from our normal but found it very good a cafe inside with good coffee reasonably priced no queue at the tills plenty of carpark spaces and good priced petrol
S. S.
Excellent service & Staff, helpful & friendly conversation made.. but a real miserable old Manager, said Hello when entering the store as he was on Covid queing system outside, allowed me in but was on his phone & when l said hello & thank you for letting me in, it was like l had 2 heads & the same as l left the Store no initial eye contact even though l said thank you & goodbye strange little man
M. F.
I used to goto this place for almost 9 years. Staff is very pleasant and friendly.
Unfortunately, new LED lighting is a horror. Management might have thought about cost cutting, but it's a disaster. I don't know about how others felt about it, but for me it was stressful.
Management, if you are reading this please consider safe lighting for your customers. Otherwise we will lose another one good thing in Stoke.
T. C.
Always shop here. Products very fresh. Staff most helpful 👌 clean, tidy store and produce always replenished quickly. Would highly recommend 👌
T. K.
I had to go to Sainsbury's to take a friend's electric toothbrush back and exchange it for another one, the lady at customer service desk was really friendly and helpful. She sorted everything out within 5 minutes. Definitely go to Sainsbury's again and the toothbrush and headphones were cheap as well which for the same pair from Argos I would of paid £15 pound more.
c. J.
Was very nice shopping there
b. b.
Exactly what you'd expect. Prices vary a lot. Uncooked foods such as sausages are very cheap whereas soda's are more expensive than competitors.
Has a deli and pastry section, both are pretty decent. Look out for the baskets scattered around the deeper part of the store, they're full of things about to expire and on discount.
B. D.
Great staff, overhead signage could be more comprehensive. Cafe, so slow when people ahead order coffee or chocolate, slow machines and made in sequence! Takes ages.
Sue(Customer Service Desk) not on when I was in today, should be used as a role model for excellent, effective, consistent, caring customer service, over many years. That is not to belittle other excellent staff, but she is unique. She is a wonderful character, with humour and empathy - and I only know her from a customer's point of view! Don't know her surname, but she's tall, dark haired and glasses and in her thirties?
M. M.
Good selection and one visit usually allows me to buy everything I need.
G. C.
3 hours free parking which is great. Went to buy dinner and much for next day. Ended up getting one of their cooked in store hot pizza which was lovely. Great range.
S. O.
They have everything what you need
Z. Z.
I don't normally write reviews but i will not miss the chance to put 5 starts ( shame i can't leave more ) to this wonderful supermarket, staffs are helpful.Because of the lockdown, social distancing the supermarket is probably one of the best organized and prepared.I feel safe while i'm shopping .I would like to thank to all staff working in there from the manager to the cleaner .Thank you!
N. L.
Clean and always fully stocked. Prices here are pocket friendly.
P. B.
Good store but always people begging for money by the main entrance
P. B.
Have not had to queue to get inside. Screens, staff masks, gel and one way system in place so it feels quite safe.
J. B.
Always a good place to shop with a good selection of everyday foods and more exotic /expensive items too. There is a good selection of fresh bread, rolls and cakes although on this occasion the 2 products I required were unavailable despite it only being mid morning. Overall a good experience.
L. D.
A nice store which is normally well faced with a decent layout leaving a nice atmosphere in the store, The staff are friendly and helpful if you need to find anything around the store. The food is great with Sainsbury’s in store cooked foods being great while also having a wide selection of different foods available that many other supermarkets don’t have or don’t commonly have in stock, 7/10 the only thing that could be improved is the surroundings of the building with some pathways looking very dated and ugly.
K. J.
Gonna sainsbury myself in the ground cause I got no money now.
S. A. V. G.
Excellent supermarket. The fresh counters serve a wide range of patisseries, meat etc. They cut their own bread to perfection, unlike tesco trent vale of whom have no idea how to put bread through the cutters it's a disaster. Wide choice of clothing, homeware and everything you need to do a shop
M. L.
Lovely store, easy to navigate, great cafe, handy cashpoints 3 of them including one at the petrol station. Parking is ample only negative, you need a £1 coin to release a trolley. Otherwise excellent.
S. S.
Wonderful array of groceries and staff service was good, easy returns on a purchase.
C. G.
Click and collect was quick and simple but need to make it clear that it's at argos not customer service due to being in opposite corners of the store.
M. S.
Always good selection of veggie and vegan products and staff always there to help. Always clean and covid regs in place.
T. B.
Good to shop here only letting so many people in at any one time social distancing maintained hand and trolley sanitizer as soon as yo go into store staff always polite and helpful
G. F.
All good plenty of the products we all need from fresh veg and fruit to quality meat 👌👌
C. B.
I wanted a black tie I asked a member of staff who directed me straight to where they were and it was priced at value for money.
S. T. (.
Great me in hubby went fetch his new drone mini mavic 2 air carnt wait for summer so he can get it flying why i try grt fit in the park x
K. B.
Great place with a extra bonus having a Argos in store
S.
Just like any other Sainsbury's really,, a big store, well stocked
B.
Massive store with lots of departments. There’s always a promotion or sale going on you just have to spend time browsing around. It’s a shame the second entrance and the restaurant is still closed due to corona.
W. H.
Great place to get daily shopping from.
Always clean with a good selection of food and drinks but that's not everything!
There is also my favoirite Home & Clothing range I love.
I don't know about your personal preferences but I always find something I like;)
m. 3.
Never been a fan of sainsburys always lacks compared to other big brands but we decided go as we was close by whilst there we decided nip in the cafe whilst we picked what we wanted of the fairly good menu we grab a tray our drinks and went to order ...... only to be told that there was a limited menu on as they were short staffed ...... this consider of 4 items all on toast in 6 different combinations .... hand written on a scrap piece of paper .... disgusting service very dissapointed the women serving looked like she was running round cleaning table doing the till the cooking and by the way she was dripping with sweat and flapping everywhere youd think she was working every station in the supermarket .... if you hadn't guessed already we left and vowed to never revisit ..
A. M.
They have more specialist foods than many of the main supermarkets!
n. d.
Went to look at clothes thought we would have something to eat wad not happy no food just sandwiches or panneines nothing hot won't be going there again
O. G.
The food is very good and value for money the menu is quite varied and processes are in place to safeguard re COVID19. I would recommend the Greyhound in Penkhull.
L. H.
I jave shopped here for many years and I will continue to do so. Great shop, great products and great prices
A. C.
The one person per household advice is not being adhered to, groups of family members entering the store and nothing being said, especially as we’re in the lockdown period. Everyone wears masks though and generally keep the distance.
E. H.
Good, easy to get what I needed, it's a shame the cafe has gone.
N. M.
Social distancing is good plenty of stock large spaces to move around
j.
Loved the clothes from here especially the children's many half price
G. F.
love Sainsbury's nice food, housewares and clothes and there's always something for me there
A. B.
Not to many people in this morning,
j. v.
One of my favourite places to go shopping.
T. C.
Always shop here. Products very fresh. Staff most helpful 👌 clean, tidy store and produce always replenished quickly. Would highly recommend 👌
A. S.
It was Stoke shop. Wasn't too bad. Except for supposed homeless and beggers asking for money. Then when refused , get a mouthful of foul language.
C. A.
Disabled toilet easy to access if on electric wheelchair, they are cept very clean.
There is a till set aside with a wider space to go through if you have a basket and the staff are very helpful if you need assistance.
B. V.
very good, me like
P. B.
Fully stocked ,good but not intrusive covid measures in place. Very pleasant cashier " Devon"
A. S.

S. J.
This is on the whole a clean and tidy store, and never seems particularly busy when I go in to buy the things I can't get in my local Aldi. This store, like most Sainsburys I suppose, is very expensive for basic items, and extremely expensive for branded food and other goods, so its not a place to find a bargain. They have an Argos in store, and a cafe, and public toilets, so facilities are good, and the car park is usually nowhere near full, but has I think a 3 hours limit and it has a number plate recognition system on the entry and exit to stop people parking for longer than this. It has a reasonably priced petrol station but this gets busy at times. The store itself has a lot of self service checkouts and a lot less manned tills like it used to. The main downfall with this place is that it is just far too expensive for the area it is located in, otherwise its a good shop.
C.
Always pop in here to quickly grab a few things or a meal deal but sometimes I'll need to do a big shop, this shop is very good for both quick and long shops and have pretty much everything you could need.
Staff are sometimes more chatty and friendly to eachother than they are to you but this doesn't really change a thing, still a great shop.
J. L.
Big well stocked supermarket. Lovely staff
S. J.
Can't complain plenty of choice , staff ace not bad prices
M. W. (. T. W.
Good size Sainsbury's with an adequate sized car park and petrol station. The cafe is always a good stop for breakfast too.
The layout can seem a little strange, with the fresh fruit and veg (usually near to the main entrance in supermarkets) being at the opposite end of the store from the main entrance & car park.
The addition of an Argos inside is a welcome though.
A. W.
This sunday morning was nice, easy ,calm and nearly empty, stress free. How I would like all my shopping experience if possible.
R. R.
Really good shop it's just a shame about the "homeless" begging outside the store with their brand new iPhones and Nike trainers wouldn't be bothered if they were genuinely homeless but the fact they beg for drug money on the benches out side the store is rather unsettling for anyone.
L. J.
Plenty of choice and helpful staff
J. P.
More luck than judgement that there wasn't a queue with traffic lights at Entrance to store. But I will take that all day long :)
L. P.
Great place for shopping food and clothing just brought leather sandals and Great pair of shorts 👌👍🙌
M. B.
A variety of Quality produce at the right price and truly helpful and pleasent staff.
I don't like aldi\lidl and shops like that where products are on the floor or in wooden cases just dumped anywhere on the shop floor, it's cheap and nasty, and there is no saving on there fresh produce because you buy it today and throw it away tomorrow
L. P.
Clean and tidy. Hand sanitiser everywhere. Argos store inside. Wheelchair accessible
R. W.
Medium sized store, has a large clothing section, bureau de change, home section, gardening and flowers, an in store argos, deli, fishmonger, butcher and bakery.
Staff are generally friendly, large car park and good location
K. L.
Came out with with my list still in hand date wise on fruit, veg and bread either out of date close to date or hadn't got any very poor
R. H.
Above average size Sainsbury's that provides all the usual stuff you would expect.
J. B.
Good, clean, tidy, well stocked. Cashier polite, quick and helpful.
A.
A good sized supermarket and car park situated in Stoke town centre (not the city centre). They carry a decent range of foods and household items and after a recent refit (summer 2016) is much more up to date and tidy. The staff are generally very helpful and pleasant to talk to or get advice from. There is a decent sized cafe with the standard range of Sainsbury's meals and relatively quick service and a new, improved selection of barista style coffees. Again, the cafe staff are pleasant and helpful.
The store loses one star from me because of the lack of variety in the cafe, particularly vegetarian options and short staffing on tills at busy times though the new tills and improved self service options may improve this.
A. H.
Great store. Friendly staff. Good price for fuel
J. N.
Was with my granddaughter we managed to get some things. What we were after was baby clothes and little girls but not much of a selection for baby boys 6 to 9 months and girls 18 to 24 months.
A. B.
Not too much of a queue. The store was clean and well organised. We managed to get everything on our shopping list.
A. N.
Having a club card is very useful. You can accumulate money for Holiday clothes to a Christmas shop. Their clothes are good quality and if they have too much stock, then they have a 25% off sale.
M. D.
Good selection and not too big.
Fruit and veg is great quality.
S. W.
This is a fairly large Sainsburys that has a lot of options.
It has multiple counters selling everything from freshly made pizzas to curries. It also has an Argos, homeware and clothing section, and always seems well stocked and clean.
S. O.
Over priced go to Tesco or Asda same item costs a third less than Sainsbury's the only reason it's still open is because there is no competition so they can charge what they like
M. H.
What can I say about Sainsburys it's a big shop that sells loads of things and you can even get your petrol and diesel there. 😉
B. O.
The staff were very friendly
K. C.
Homeless people outside asking everyone for money sad as it is don't feel safe on my own.
K. J.
Very helpful & friendly staff, lovely wide isles nice and clean. Cafe nice & clean child friendly, food is very good never had bad meal snacks & sandwiches available in food counter also have nice selection of cakes.
J. B.
Nice store and nice stsff
P. W.
You can buy pretty much everything, even electronics and stationaries due to Argos being inside. Everything is overpriced and the quality isn't great but hey, if you really need something and you cannot find it anywhere, it's probably there
K. W.
Love Sainsburys could spend hours in there such choices
M. S.
This was the the first time I have used this store. The order is great but the collection point in a far part of the car park was very difficult to find
J.
Always friendly. Good selection of food and homeware with the added bonus of an argos. Love the sourdough pizzas!!
J. P.
An excellent shop. Lots and lots of good produce. Fresh produce is excellent and a good selection of household goods. Kept clean and tidy as usually expected with Sainsburys. Smart little cafe and also pharmacy in-store. 👍👍
S. W.
You can most of your shopping here from food to clothes. Great customer service.
M. T.
Adhere to covid guidelines
Fully stocked
C. F.
Not as much items as morrisons & tesco , Overpriced.
M. D.
Fantastic! Plenty of staff and straight in and out. Collected from Argos. Sainsburys staff directed me to where I needed to go with social distancing very well executed.
G. L.
Fantastic service staff polite and helpful nothing to much trouble especially at this time with covid food was amazing would definitely be going again.
B. M.
Not impressive needs more work staff need to be more helpful
C. W.
Brilliant friendly staff. Always helpful. And security are well trained.
S. T.
Picked up an online order of t-shirts and of course a bottle of milk. Nice big store with lots of choice and good range of non-grocery items like clothing and homewares. Better than the Hanley store.
A. A.
Love the place go around 4 and your find all the offers being poped on the shelves.
A. E.
Lovely clean shop with friendly staff and nice clothing
h. b.
Value for money the only down fall I think is that the shop seems to have poor lighting compared to other stores but everything else is great the cafe, pharmacy, the kiosk, food drink and argos in the the store also.
A. C.
Nice clean well lit store. Well stocked if a little more expensive than our usual supermarket. Nice range of clothes, plenty of parking.
R.
ok so listen, it's alright for the quality of the food that it provides and the isle arrangement of it all, however there's a downside about this store as the food is pricy and i would not reccommend it if you're going to play the 'spend as little money as you can' game :/
M. B.
Car park is an absolute hazard. I avoid it most of the rime. I only went because they have an argos and that was like pulling teeth. Unhelpful staff. The item was in stock on the web but not in the store. I would have gone somewhere else had I known that. Sainsbury lay out is weird.
J. T.
Great supermarket, it offers a wide range of products, fresh, prepared, canned or convenient. Only plus would be more alternative food or "superfoods". Also student offers would be greatly appreciated considering the amount of students in the city.
D. A.
An improving Supermarket, the"travelator" is a plain though, take a long time to travel from the car park and the two lifts reliability is questionable. Good produce, but pricy.
P. B.
Fully stocked ,good but not intrusive covid measures in place. Very pleasant cashier " Devon"
M. B.
I shop once a week at Sainsbury's Stoke. Staff are very friendly and polite but on my last few shops I have noticed the Fruit and Vegetables dates are very poor and this does affect my weekly shop.
J. W.
Sainsburys has been a frequented supermarket of mine since the late 80's. A good brand and the customer service is fabulous. However....I've also been to others for many years as well. Safeways turned Morrisons is right up there and they are equally as good. I have more of their heavy duty life bags than their competitors and I get more "fivers" for my money.
l. m. e. (.
Shoppers were well spaced out they had most of the items we wanted
C. G.
Click and collect is collected from a van on the car park, so no need to enter the store.
J. M.
Very nice full English breakfast and coffee at the cafe. Good store for clothing and household stuff, wouldn't do a week's shopping tho a bit pricey.
n.
A bit busy on the car park near the entrance could do with a crossing other than that the shop has a large selection of items
B. C.
None of the items I went in for but totally understand and friendly staff as usual.
M. C.
Stoke Sainsbury's is a very big store compared to Hanley ones and well organised. Many branded items are comparatively cheaper or better with loads of deals at Tesco stores as I shop at both stores selectively for certain products may it be for better deal or quality. Overall expensive but good if you want to shop for Argos too which is now part of it.
N. B.
Standard large Sainsbury's outlet which is one beacon of modernity in an otherwise run down town. Has all the stock and amenities you'd expect plus an extensive car park and fuel station.
C. W.
It’s a supermarket so it gets 5 stars for selling food
A. S.
Sadly the coffee machine was broken in the cafe so could only get filter coffee and no marmalade for my toast!! Otherwise got a few bits from clothes and home sections and used my money off voucher.
a. f.
Not to crowded. I got everything I went in for and got served quite quickly.
M. B.
Very good with social distances. Was a little quite when I went but felt very safe
A. L.
Covid restrictions still in place, staff wearing masks but not mandatory for customers
O. H.
I used to work here it's an amazing store and has amazing employees.
K. R.
Reasonably well laid out and well stocked. Can get TU clothing here, as well as order from Argos. There is a charge and a Lloyds pharmacy in-store as well
j.
Loved the clothes from here especially the children's many half price
s. s.
Ok. Good place.
j. c.
Great parking. Easy access. Good product range. Plenty of tills with self service. Cafe does nice food at a good price.
P. D.
Good range of products, we got what we wanted
Helpful interesting staff in well laid out store
Easy parking
Will visit again
M. C.
Once again helpful and polite staff. They are making a real effort to make sure it's safe.
R. D.
Well stocked store, friendly staff, what we buy is price comparable with Tesco but better quality and dates on fresh produce
S. R.
Everything under one roof well nearly. I think their produce is much fresher than some places. I like how they display their prices because I can actually see them .
S. P.
Of all the supermarkets Sainsbury's seems to be the one that's taking Covid-19 the most seriously... It's worth paying that little bit extra to feel safe while shopping... Highly recommend using Sainsbury's ...
K.
Good store despite the location. Aisle organisation is a little confusing and could be better.
S. W.
Great place to shop
T. C.
Good store in Stoke, always well stocked and a good choice. They were organized from a Covid point of view as well. 👍
E. g. H.
My wife is in care home I went in to pick some new clothes for her
It is good clothing
i. w.
Running out of stock many items you cannot get, tomato juice, for one,
M. D.
Big Sainsbury's, has an Argos inside, huge variety, large parking area, good Covid 2m spacing markers, friendly staff.
N. M.
Social distancing is good plenty of stock large spaces to move around
M. T.
Excellent service, staff polite and helpful, nothing is to much trouble
M. O.

Excellent social distance was observed throughout the store I felt comfortable shopping
R. J.
Great selection of goods at not so great prices. This is for people who cant quite afford waitrose but are happy to pay premium prices.
B. W.
P good, got everything you want. Constantly has homeless people outside which is upsetting
P. T.
Quite a big sainsburys and well set out. Slightly more choice than other local Sainsburys particularly fresh meat. Plenty of free parking
C. J.
Very well stocked and organised only complaint prices a little high thought the cafe would be open for snacks biw
R. J.
I shop at many supermarkets but Sainsbury's by far do the best and fresh vegetables you can buy and there is always a use by date on the packaging which I feel is important
C. F.
Good store bad location, hold on to your valuables😯
J. F.
Good store environment, and is usually well stocked. It's great that there's now an Argos and Lloyds Pharmacy in it. Always a pleasant shopping experience
m. f.
The cakes, always the cakes, did I mention the cakes? Go on, pop in and cake up, there's always another day for the diet.
S. P.
Wide selection of produce to purchase, there is a small café on the premises, the parking lot is large and can accommodate plenty of cars, there are also public restrooms within the store.
J. H.
Spacious supermarket,
Front entrance not open, car park entrance only self check out as well as members of staff operating the tills
j. v.
One of my favourite places to go shopping.
R. T.

It's OK as a Sainsbury's go. There is free parking for a little while and it's situated in a good place if you want to go to Maplin/ALDI too while your there.
