We mainly shop here because the prices are fair and you can find literally anything.

It has I good range of Christmas stock and Christmas clothes. It also has a cafe deli and wheelchair access. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is good your weekly shopping and easy to get in and out of the car park.

Well, first time visit to Newmarket Tesco’s. Staying in the area and needed a few essentials in company with two kids. As others have mentioned, a very spacious car park, parking is free and easy. One way system to enter, that’s the one and only covid measure remaining. The initial displays were well laid out, with donuts and flowers. Only criticism that has prevented 5 stars is the sheer size, it’s vast! A bonus was the amount of tills in operation, no waiting. This added to scan and shop and self service was great. Another extra was the photo-booth, so passport photos sorted out easily. In summary, a great Tesco experience, the kids loved it, lots of choice and variety. Would definitely recommend and will return when in the locality…

Big store with good selection of services, you can usually get everything there but on our last visit the were several bare shelves, and the fruit and veg looked poor . Also not many tills were manned so quite along wait at check outs . There is free parking .

Ordered our whole houses week shopping online (coming from the stoke branch), no issues up til now, our slot was confirmed and given a receipt, this delivery never arrived though were charged. No one contacted us to say it wasn't coming. Called up head office, no reason why it wasn't delivered either. It just wasnt. Left us on a sunday afternoon with no food for the week, while other shops close at 4. Update - They were really good the next day, sorted it quickly with an apology card + chocolates.

The Hanley store is very big and much larger than the store in Meir park. However, the car park was much smaller and was much trickier to park there. The store wasn't as busy as the stores in Longton or Meir park. I only ever visit this store if I am in Hanley and need to pick up a few things.

It's not my main shopping supermarket but always nip in I I've run out of something, great choice of produce love the f&f clothes range and the electrical items are really good prices. They have toilet facilities and a huge car parking site. Masks are asked to be worn and lots if sanitizer stations around.

Well situated supermarket easy to find and well sign posted. Adequate parking lots of spaces even places for disabled motorist. Which were not being used by everyone else. Covid measures were in force. There one way system was easy to follow. Staff very helpful and warm towards me. I felt valued. Food was of a good quality and standard easy access to the tills. Place was monitored by the staff which was good. A very enjoyable experience and would certainly go back again

Was reasonably quiet at 6.45 on Monday evening. Full sanitizing a you enter but a lot of shoppers not observing personal distancing. Whilst picking from shelves other people pushing past very close to get goods from same shelves. Truth is I would feel safer in a pub. Not the fault of Tesco just people who do not think.

Helpful staff was only 3 tills on at time and wasn't the staff fault but one customer held up the que on one of the two lanes that weren't 10 items or less but the other lanes did there best to get people on other lanes lady who served us was very helpful to a group who weren't from the area and happily answered there questions about where things were locally and even informed them of a better deal on a product they were buying all while scanning and helping pack quickly even though she was told she was due her brake she stayed on the till and extra 10mins to help get the ques down and she was still happy and friendly while doing so I wish I had got her name so she could have a bit of recognition for being so extra in her job

After my accident I had problems walking. A lovely lass said I would be better if I used a electric wheelchair and organised it and the other staff just were there and helped me.I could not fault anyone. IMPRESSIVE is an understatement

So pleased with the treatment and care I had four weeks ago at Hanley Tesco Extra. I had a heart attack and staff were very efficient and kind, sending for an ambulance and putting me into recovery position as I lay unconscious on the ground on the Car Park. A member of staff rang my husband to inform him, and also arrived at our house offering to take him to the Royal Stoke hospital if he didn't have transport. My car was on the car park where I had left it while I expected to do my weekly shopping. A big 'Thank you' to the staff who helped.

This is not a review for the Tesco Hanley store but instead for the Delivery service my mother received today 13/10/20 in the Hanley area. Van number 7R/1637 order number 415006476 The Driver was absolutely lovely and had a good (distanced) chat with my mum who has been shielding since March. I am so grateful, she says he has made her day and asked me leave a good review for him. Thank you Driver 🙂

Having used the shop daily for over the last four years for business shopping, we found it increasingly frustrating that some basic items we often out of stock. The bread (Tiger) varied dramatically depending if a proper baker was on or the used a shelf stacked to do the morning bake. Check out service was always good, as was customer service mostly.

Great customer service from the staff, I asked where something was and the guy took me right to them. Toilets are clean, aisles were mostly clear of empty boxes and such. Just generally a clean and tidy supermarket with good staff and fair prices.

On the plus side, it's a big store with a wide selection of products, and parking is easy and plentiful. The staff I've interacted with seemed friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the store layout leaves something to be desired. I guess it's for marketing reasons that supermarkets make you traipse through the entire store for everyday items, but in this case it's particularly irksome. It's partly due to the size of the store, partly because it's a particularly bad example of it. There are literally no everyday items situated by the entrance, whereas my local at least has fruit and veg in an easy spot. This is also the only supermarket I've ever been to where I've had to wander around looking for baskets (and on more than one occasion) as there were none where there should be on entry. Good for a big shop, poor if you just want to nip in and out.

Massive shop with loads of choice. I find Tesco in general expensive, however worth going in as always got offers on. 👍👍 Went recently and still lots of good offers on. On our visit went to the cafe and what a farce, four staff on, about six customers and the service was slow, cafe tables dirty and took twenty minutes for my cheese and tomato toastie to come to my table. Maybe a one off but I won't be returning soon. 👎👎

It's such a friendly store. The staff must see thousands of people every day but still remember individual customers from just the few minutes they spend serving them. Regular customers chat to each other too giving recommendations of products they've tried and pointing out new lines and special offers. It's just like going into your local corner shop... but bigger!

Handy location with parking. The store has plenty of choice and the staff are always helpful. I use to do all my shopping here for forty years, but I have retired now and go to other supermarket like Aldi and Farm Foods as well, to save money. Tesco fresh products do last longer and offer a bigger range of products, so I will always shop here, but spend less money and shop around for the best buys.

Staff are all plesent, polite and helpful. I do however feel that the mobile phone signal 📶 needs to be looked at as there was only a maximum of one bar. I became separated from my wife, and was unable to get in contact with her. After 20 minutes or so searching we were reunited in the cereal isle. On the plus side I did however found the 20 minutes rather peaceful, was able to browse around myself without the constant waffling in my ear. All in all a pleasant experience.

There’s something about this Tesco that I just don’t enjoy visiting. The car park is silly, it’s too big inside with a layout that frustrates you. It’s full of people who get in your way. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good trip to Tesco for fun, just not this one.

This store has a bit of everything! You can obviously get your fresh and frozen foods, also a decent selection of homeware, a fair sized clothing section, kitchenware, etc. There's also a café upstairs but it is overpriced and my experience of a jacket potato in the café wasn't great. Doesn't lose a star for it due to the huge selection in-store. Doesn't take long at checkout no matter what time of day I've been in as they have lots of checkouts, self service and also a pretty cool scan as you shop for clubcard members making it quick and easy to checkout.

An average Tesco which is oddly placed as it’s not really near many homes and is instead placed in the city centre. It’s about a £5 taxi fare to this Tesco from the university and about a 25 min walk, The staff are friendly and the store looks alright but the heavy use of brick on the east side of the building looks horrible and leaves a person thinking what was the architect think when he designed that layout?

Popped into Tesco this morning with one very tired and unhappy little grandson. Not like him but he missed his morning nap. Got to the checkouts and a lovely lady who I since found out is the new checkout manager was so nice to sonny. After first asking me in a hushed voice if he was allowed chocolate she then chose some white choc buttons and handed them to him which shut him up immediately. I know some of my fb friends work at Tesco and hope this thank-you gets back to this lovely lady whose name I believe is Lisa. Xx

Okish store, Longton is better. Druggies litter the entrance and the toilets are always abused as a drug den especially the disabled toilet and as a carer i find this discusting that there no RADAR key lock on it.
