We have recently changed to tesco delivery service from one of their competitors. Best decision we could of made. The delivery drivers are so friendly and go above and beyond to help. If there is ever any problems the drivers find a solution. One of them even brought some milk back when he had finished his shift after it had split whilst making his delivery. Amazing staff 100% recommend the home delivery service...... so just to add to my review... we had out shopping delivery this afternoon, and a Greek style yogurt had burst all over out chilled shopping. The young driver named Darren was so helpful. He took this tray back with him to the store and then after his lunch brake brought all nee fresh products before carrying on with his rounds. What a lovely young man. Grate job tesco you need to get more drivers like this. 👍

Scan and shop doesn't open till 8am but you can pick up a hand piece and checkout using the self checkouts. They frequently move their stock around, which I find annoying. I like to take as little time as possible and when stock is moved shopping takes longer!

Great place to shop

Usually well stocked, though due to many people unecessarily over buying there are a number of items that are out of stock or extremely low. Majority of customers not adhering to social distancing while shopping and picking up multiple of the same thing to get 'the best one'. Staff shopping for click and collect or home delivery orders aren't distancing either, squeezing between customers in a hurry to finish their order, and blocking the isle while they abandon their cart to grab items, some are very friendly (I even helped one find an item for his order that he couldn't see) while others just see you as in the way and push their cart towards you even if there's nowhere for you to go.

The young Male assistant was very very good and thorough in his advice he conveyed to me about a problem I have been having with my Samsung phone. I have had this phone since February and it has always been extremely difficult to switch on, he has given me some good advice. I now have to go into utube to enable to find out the different function options that I have on my Samsumg. I wish they had given me a manual when I purchased my phone.

Good store but as unwell couldnt walk far & staff sent me all over the shop instead of taking me directly to where i needed to be. Staff training on customer interaction & follow up on customer needs should take place. I realise its a big store but this is more important than tesco will realise.

Can shop at shop allong bring a face covering you can get a card online at Grovermemt website for mobile phone version or a printed version if you have mild illness and affect your breathing this card show and it said you don't have to wear a face covering most supermarket doe online and they will deliver to your door and check delivery booking because some stores are popular on-line

Big store with wide walkways. Well stocked tidy shelves with, in general, reasonable prices. Polite staff. Bit off the beaten track for the pedestrian. Buses that turn around some distance away could with a bit of rearrangement turn in front of the store entrance. (ASDA already does this).

It is literally the best place ever. It has everything you could ever need: Costa, Subway, Pets Corner, Todd Sweeney, WHSmith, Vision Express, Holland & Barrett’s, dry cleaners, charity shop and so much more. I would genuinely live there if I could. Whenever I go grocery shopping with my family, I beg to go to there. It is always a blast. Shopping at Tesco Extra isn’t just your regular shop, it is a complete experience. 10/10 would go every week.

A large variety of shopping goods are available, ranging from clothes, televisions, books stationary, music, computers, medicines and all your day to day groceries. Still one of the cheaper supermarket brands sitting between lidl and aldi at the lower end, and sainsburys, etc at the other end.

Why not have "Sourced in Britain" aisles in ALL your stores (Where all the goods are only sourced from the UK). Then your customers could instantly support UK brands which would support the buy British campaign and our support for BREXIT. They do in areas of Spain Please treat this seriously!! Give it a try. The place is a pretty good metaphor for consumerism without limit. The place is massive, practically air hangar sized and they sell practically everything. You are greeted by a Berlin wall of checkouts which is a staunch reminder of what you are here to do, hand over your money. Somehow it always seems like it's busy, not busy enough to be irritating but busy enough for you to notice "how are there this many people who are clearly not working in the middle of a weekday loading up trollies to the brim" all in all it's a pretty sad and sterile place. Feels like it was designed by soulless robots who were allowed to have a go at creating something efficient after the downfall of the local high street. Up points: There's free parking and a public toilet, a few weird shops and a barber(?) In the foyer and the aisles are wide enough no matter how obese you are. Down point: takes about 10 minutes just to walk to the bakery section

This is not my experience, but the views of two disabled Pensioners that visited the Durrington store. Neither of them have internet, so have asked me to pass on, just how impressed they were with the assistance they were afforded, and one particular person, a Sue Hexham. Both of these elderly ladies 69, and 90 were over the moon with her help. This lady not only helped by pushing one of them in a wheelchair, she pointed out all your bargain offers, and helped them find everything they needed. They had to get a Taxi to your store, but spent a lot of money Instore , and they loved the experience Ms Huxham gave them - please can they congratulate your store on friendliness and personal assistance for the disabled, they were more than grateful . Tesco can be proud - thank you so much, it meant a lot !

I shop at Tesco Durrington because the store is within spitting distance of where I live, but I am becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of efficiency and the managerial disdain for customers that I'm encountering. Since the store was "tarted up", I find that a couple of good-value cheap products that I regularly bought, have mysteriously disappeared from your shelves. In my case I'm talking about Jac rice desserts (34p instead of Mullers' at 68p) and Sunsip High Juice apple squash at £1.09 instead of your own brand at £1.49 (on a good day...) I'm sure there are a lot of other products that I don't know about, that have suffered the same fate. What's more, there are regularly empty sheves in the places where "Special Offers" are supposed to be,..because you are not capable of predicting what the takeup will be? I would have thought you paid sales "experts" to do that... It seems to me that Tesco's is not imptyoving, despite its facelifts - hence, of course, your recent losses to the discount stores who are, perhaps, more concerned with actually getting their products into our trollies and out of the door! I would have bought a tin of Barista coffee today - a very good deal- but there was none to be had, and I didn't have the time to send an employee on a (probably) fool's errand out the back to see if there was any more. Get your act together, Tesco, if you want to keep your share of the market!

A friend contacted us Tesco selling brand of rice with Caribbean ingredients, brought 6 packages paying an enormous price, only to discover much cheaper at another Supermarket. A lesson learned!

Excellent store with lots to offer. Could they incorporate the 'Recycling in Lancing' Terracycle scheme to increase the people's awareness of recycling items you can't put in the blue kerbside bin. This would be great for the Durrington and Goring - by - Sea community. A couple work very hard in the Broadwater, Lancing and Shoreham area to help with this sustainable movement. Could more volunteers help this side of Worthing? Also a lot of people don't know that you ran recycle any plastic bag packaging there including: fruit and veg bags, bread bags, toilet roll bags, plastic delivery bags containing clothes etc. These can be put in the plastic bag cage outside the store before you go in. Recycle your milk bottle tops, plus any tops of the same size and shape and tops with a resin code of 2 and 4 (3 arrowed triangle) too with Topak Care Supplies Ltd. They raise money for Chestnut Tree House, a hospice for children with progressive life - shortening conditions.

I must start by saying that I haven't been enamored by the Durrington store, because I am Disabled and I feel I have to walk a marathon before I can actually do my food shopping. Having said that since Scan & Shop has been introduced I can do my shopping with the least amount of pain. This Christmas I shopped around for my Turkey, over the last few years I have been getting mine from another large supermarket, this year I got it through Tesco Durrington. It was considerably cheaper, better organised making it easy to pick up, staff could not have been more helpful, it came in a really useful reusable bag and when I got home I found a little thank you gift from Tesco. The Turkey had a lovely flavour, was moist and everyone said it was just as good as the one from the other supermarket, for which I would have needed a mortgage to buy. I do know that the way I cook my Turkey keeps it moist, but you have to have a good product to start with. So thank you TESCO DURRINGTON may I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR.. Regards Mrs J V Everett
