Sorry but a bit of a disappointment. Easingwold is a beautiful, vibrant market town filled with friendly folk but unfortunately the market fell short of expectations. On the day we visited there was only a small handful of stalls trading with a couple of the stalls selling the same fruit and veg items.
One stall that stood out from the rest was the cheese stall, the chap who runs this stall was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about his products, we bought a couple of different types of cheeses from him - both of which were of an excellent flavour and quality. Sorry but I cannot remember the trading name of his stall.
My advice to anyone in the Vale of York area would be to give Easingwold a visit on market day (Friday) and hopefully, the rise in visitor numbers might show the market organisers that there is a need for bustling, thriving markets and help drive the market to build back up to its former glory days.
Thank you.

A typical Yorkshire village with a great choice of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Has ample parking as well as public conveniences (something of a rarity nowadays!) and is a great stopping off point on main road to York / Thirsk.

It wasnt market day when I visited but it keeps asking me to review it. I bet it's good. Lovely place nice cafes. The sort of place the local women walk with wicker baskets on their arm and visit local butcher's and veg shops to get fresh every day.

Wonderful selection of cheese, veg, bread, curry and nibbles and the resue/ refill cleaning guy is great. It has taken me a view weeks to change my culture of shopping as very different (but wondefully so to a supermarket.) I highly recomend embrassing the local market on the way back from the school drop off.
