I bought a vintage dress (my size) and it ended up being too small across the bust. I took my dress into Alteration Station and I am so impressed by the creativeness and the quickness it took to complete my dress. Although my dress was a complex case, it only took one night for Tony to ask me to come for my fitting, and an extra night for it to be completed. Tony altered a new silk dress I bought for a wedding. The dress needed shortening and a small adjustment on both straps. Tony was very rapid and professional in measuring and planning the alteration. FANTASTIC TAILOR, TONY WILL BE MY GO TO TAILOR IN BRISTOL I had a Christmas office party, roughly 1 week before, I called Alteration Station, spoke to Tony and explained to him that I need tailoring on a Velvet dinner Jacket, and a shirt. Shortly after my conversation, I visited and said I need: - the waist of my jacket brought in - the waist of my shirt brought in In our conversation we spoke about potentially reducing the sleeve size of the shirt, but I choose not to at the time (important to note this as I’ll return to this later in this review) He sized me up. Gave me a fair price there and then, and I left him with my items. The day before my Christmas party I returned, paid for, and collected my items, I was happy, the shirt and jacket fit me perfectly. When I got home I did a final check before the party the day after, I noticed one small issue, my shirt sleeves were too long. The day of the Christmas party I called Tony, mentioned my situation, he said to come back. I arrived at 12, he sized up the sleeves, I left him with the shirt for 2 hrs, returned and collected the altered shirt (again, fair price) Once altered, my outfit was completed. I was very happy with the outfit. Thank you Tony for helping me out, and a massive thank you for helping me with the last minute alteration on the sleeve, it really went a long way. I’ve been using their alterations service for many years and wouldn’t go anywhere else, they’re spot on every time and the finish is perfect. I’ve had designer jeans taken in, a jumpsuit made smaller and pockets added and been so happy with the end result. You can leave your items of clothing and have piece of mind they’ll be looked after and a good job done. Also what I like is the timeframe is a matter of days or a week for detailed work. The price is so reasonable for the service, alteration and finish. They know what they’re doing and when I’ve been at the shop I’ve noticed so many returning customers so they’re definitely doing something right. Plus the welcome, customer service is impeccable. I cannot thank you enough Tony, for the amazing job you did for my daughter. You have made one young lady very happy indeed! For anyone considering Alteration Station, do not hesitate. Tony was more than willing to take on a complicated re-sizing for my daughter who is not a standard size and shape. She needed a jumpsuit to be shortened and taken in in the body, shoulders and armholes to be reduced, sleeves taken up and legs shortened and re-hemmed. Almost a complete re-tailoring, in fact. Not a problem for Tony. What a genius! And, he did it all in just 24 hours!

I originally took a shirt of mine which had some very difficult to repair rips on the front and Tony managed to repair it to a state in which it was barely visible. Since then I’ve taken a few more pieces of clothing to him, even ones which I thought were irreparable and Tony has surprised me each time. Wow. Tony is a magician. I have used Tony on various occasions for small alterations to suits / shirts etc which have all been brilliant. What Tony achieved last time I visited him was remarkable. I was best man for a wedding in South Africa, we ordered the suits online but left it late, they only had massive sizes left. We had no choice but to order them and hope for the best, well the best is what we received. When Tony looked at the size of the suits he didn’t think it was possible, you could have fitted me in my suit 3xs. 1 week later I went back to try the suit on and Wow, it fitted like a glove, you wouldn’t have known it was the same suit. Fantastic service! I bought a Patagonia Synchilla fleece that was a bit too long and boxy. The guys in Patagonia Bristol recommended Alteration Station. I dropped off my fleece on Saturday morning, Tony measured me up in about 5 minutes and said it would be done in a week. 3 hours later and it was done! Not only was it done but I swear the finish on the seams is every bit as tidy (if not more substantial) than they were when I bought the fleece. The fit is perfect - I now have my own custom fleece. Best of all it only cost £35! I really cannot recommend Alteration Station enough.

Not only has he done an impeccable job on every garment I've brought to him, but when I once made the mistake of visiting a different tailor (never again), he was even able to fix the absolute mess they made of my suit. From clothing alterations to bag repairs, nobody does it better – or for such good value. Don't bother with anyone else – there's only one Alteration Station!

Excellent service, super friendly, professional and of course highly skilled. I took a dress in on a whim that I had bought for a wedding as I couldn't lift my arms without it moving the dress out of alignment and making it bunch up at the top. The sleeves were removed, the shoulders taken in, the armholes tweaked and 2 little darts added so that the dress fits beautifully. I now have full range of movement, no parts of the dress gape and the care has been taken so that everything is very flattering. I realistically would have only worn the dress once in it's original form, but now it's very easy to wear. It was also done by the next day, although I collected it a few days after. I had my wedding dress altered here a few years ago and I have absolute confidence in Alteration Station. If you have anything that doesn't fit quite right bring it in!

I had a pair of Carhart chinos that fitted in every respect but the waist. Not because I'm fat but design flaw probably. They were great trousers so I brought them here - they managed to find an extra 2.5cm in the waist and the quality of the work is superb; pulled out the pleats and extended the waist. Quality job, perfect trousers now. Not necessarily cheap but very reasonable and we'll worth it. All Carhart trousers I have tried on are similar i.e. too tight at the waist for the given size but the next size up are too big. I'm inclined to buy more and get them adjusted as I've always fancied Carhart. Top job

He gave me a very reasonable quote and the promise of it being ready in a week. 1.5 hours later I received a text telling me that my skirt was ready. I am delighted with my new-improved skirt and am sure this will now be my favourite item of clothing. It is now one year on and I came in to Alteration Station with a similar alteration; a dress to be converted into a skirt. Yet again the service is faultless, very reasonably priced and incredibly quick. Tony offered the suggestion of additional stitching to my new-look skirt which was perfect and gave it a sleek finish.
