Did a real nice job taking in the sleeves and sides of my heavy wool pea coat. Measured me up in shop, reasonable price, friendly staff, quick service (about a week) and quality work. Now fits perfect ... I’ll definitely go back for other work. 5 stars all round. .

I cannot praise the quality of New Stitches workmanship highly enough. Notwithstanding the need to significantly shorten the sleeves of my loden coat it was returned to me with the alteration made but still looking exactly like the original. Excellent and worth every penny

Came here to get a broken skirt zipper repaired - most of the previous reviews I read highlighted the fast and (sometimes) same day service, so I was slightly surprised when they told me it would take a week to complete, but when I told them I needed it more urgently they instead offered to do it in 4 days which worked fine for me. Overall I was very happy with the friendly and professional service and the work done.

The husband and wife were brilliant. They fitted my mum in to have her Mother of the Bride outfit altered last minute as she was let down by another shop. We couldn't have asked them to do a better job at altering her outfit and mum is very happy. The husband and wife are friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. Would definitely recommend them!

Had 3 items altered recently, very reasonably priced (around half of what I have paid for similar alterations elsewhere) Work was carried out to a high standard and with a very quick turn around. One item was leather which I imagine is more difficult to work with but which was just as good as the other items.

Job looks good, albeit £35 to alter the waist seemed very expensive (I can sew myself but I knew they would do a more professional job, which they did). However... I thought they would have at least ironed the trousers; when I collected them they were incredibly creased!

Just had a bridesmaid dress taken up as it was too long. It was a complex job and it was done in a couple of days. A very quick turn around and a nice job at a reasonable price. I'm quite pleased. Will definitelty be back

I contacted them about getting a pair of pants “let out.” I needed the pants the same day that I contacted them. Excellent service. The pants were tailored perfectly. Will be returning!

A first class service that outshines all others in the city. I have asked for alterations on a number of difficult items over the last three years and all have been done perfectly. Not only that, advice is given on dress and skirt lengths and garment shaping to achieve the best result. I wrote this review for STITCHES in Wyndham Arcade and this new shop has taken the review and posted it on this site without my permission which is illegal. Does this give some insight into their underhand business practices? Beware.

New Stitches replaced the broken zip on my coat, giving a new lease of life to an old favourite. Zips are so fiddly, I wouldn't have dreamed of attempting it myself. Great workmanship and excellent value (especially when you compare it to the cost of buying a new winter coat!). If you've stopped wearing a favourite item because it needs fixing/adjusting, I would highly recommend digging it out and taking it to New Stitches! You know you'll never get round to doing it yourself...

perfect service, i took them a dress with a huge hole and difficult fabric, they not only made the hole invisible but they managed to deliver my dress to me in the post all within 3 days. fantastic.
