I needed to find somewhere to shorten the sleeves on a new leather jacket. So many shops said they don't touch leather but Star Stitch do - and a superb job they did too. I am a bit curvy so getting clothes to fit correctly can be a challenge but now I will trust Star Stitch to do these alterations and the price was more than reasonable too. Thank you.

I've been having clothes altered by this gentleman since 2013 first item being a dress and jacket that I wore for my wedding, coats dresses etc... He has a fabulous ability and talent to achieve any alteration needed. If he says he can do it, then he can and it will always be first class. My son went to a alteration place in Barnsley called sew n sew. This place hacked and ruined a £300 pound suit, and this was his wedding suit, he was devastated. Star stitch saved the suit and the day by his professional tailoring. I would urdge anyone that is seeking alteration needs to approach star stitch . They will definitely not be disappointed. Thank you star stitch again! You are a star!

Friendly, efficient service. I needed two blouses altering- sleeves too long and it was done beautifully. Was able to try them on in shop, they were pinned and altered ready for me when I next came in. Before leaving I was shown the work done and despite them being patterned you could never tell they had been altered. Very happy customer!

I took my son’s suit trousers in on Thursday to be mended as the hem was down, was about to ask if I could collect them on Monday when the wonderful, courteous, smiling young man in the shop said they’d be ready in 15 minutes! Absolutely excellent from start to finish, I needed some trousers taking up one day before a funeral, although initially fully booked upon hearing of why it needed doing the owner was kind enough to go the extra mile and it was done in less than 2 hours. They are amazing. Been going many years. Did alterations on my daughter's prom dress. Removed the cap sleeve and shortened. Just shortened all bridesmaid's dresses and made one into a corsett back. Put darts in dress for me all lace and I an narrow at the shoulders. The service is second to none. High recommend!

Excellent, honest service 😁 After being let down by Churchill of Doncaster the really nice man at Star Stitch stepped in and saved the day. He gave us an honest evaluation of the alterations we were asking for. He met the very tight deadline (less that 90mins) and his work was excellent. He could have ripped us off and charged anything but he only asked the standard rate for his work. My husband needs clothing altered regularly and we will using Star Stitch from now on.

I have always come here for all of my alterations and never been disappointed. I bought a beautiful dress for the races which fitted me perfect in middle but too big round top. The dress is really detailed and sequined and i thought I would have to take it back. I took it here to Tashsin and i picked it up today and i am absolutely amazed . It is perfect and never thought it was possible to alter it with how detailed the dress is. I can't wait to wear it :) thank you so much. Tahsin and his colleagues can do anything .
