j. s.I had a dress that needed altering, it’s a silky material so quite difficult to work with. Akila did an amazing job, the dress looks lovely. A very professional but friendly service . Good value for the service you receive. Would highly recommend Akila at if you say sew( which by the way is a great name!)
Just be aware- this lovely lady also does skin treatments, I went in for a dress alteration and came out with an eyebrow wax, pedicure and a facial! 😁

F. W.Akali was absolutely wonderful! I got a suit jacket, shirt and waistcoat for my university's end of year ball, and unfortunately none of them fit quite right. Bless, my brother suggested I try and do some alterations myself, and whilst honoured he thought so highly of me, I knew this was way out of my league. With only a few weeks to go I called up If You Say Sew (fantastic name too, by the way) and she said to bring everything round and she'll take a look. I was fully expecting her to say there is no way she could do so much at such short notice, but she said she'd get it done and I could pick it up the day of the do! She was brilliant and kept me up to date with things the whole way - even going so far as to sorting out a payment plan to line up with my student loans being paid in.
About a week to go until the ball, I went back round for a fitting, to make sure everything was sitting right, and unfortunately more had to be done, but Akali just whipped out her sewing machine and fixed it then and there. Throughout the entire process, she was lovely and so easy to talk to, both in regards to the alterations and just making conversation (sent me back to being a kid and getting sized up for all those last minute costumes I used to get my mum to make - "turn this way. now arms out. now that way. no no, it's not quite perfect. turn around again...")
The day was finally upon us and I picked up the suit morning-of. It fit perfectly I was almost in tears! I've never had anything fit me so well before - with broad shoulders and short stature I've always had to kind of settle - and it felt so amazing to have something actually made-to-measure! The evening was fantastic, and I even had several people comment on the outfit as I made my way there. I really was proud of what I was wearing.
Not only is she a wonderful person to deal with, but Akali is exceedingly skilled - having taken apart and essentially rebuilt my jacket, shirt and waistcoat (I'm so sorry!).
I was genuinely sad that our business had concluded, but I know where to go should ever I need anything again.

S. S.I met Akila at the Leicester Business Networking Club about the time I had a few life changes which resulted in me loosing weight. I asked her to take in two high quality shirts that had begun to swamp me and she also shortened the length of the sleeve. I took with me a two piece pin stripe suit and she shortened the trousers and took in the jacket.
All are a perfect fit and at a reasonable price.
I cannot thank Akila enough.

And like me you'll quickly realise there's only one stand out tailor or should I say tailoress you should be using in this town. So let me make your decision easy for you - just use Akila, she is fab and pleasant to do business with too.
