C. T.Marie did an incredible job with my wedding dress. She took in the sides, re-sewing sequins and beads by hand. She also shortened the tulle and created a pretty silk and tulle cover for a plain belt that came with the dress. She added bustles to the dress too, so that once the train was hooked up, it looked like the dress was the same length all around! I absolutely adored wearing my wedding dress on the day and felt extremely comfortable in it. Marie’s work is highly skilled, she was very good at communicating what could be done with the dress and problem solving, her alterations were done promptly and she is friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Marie (Chalk and Feather) to any brides looking for wedding dress alterations.
H. W.I had a dress altered by Marie that is for the evening of my wedding. On our initial fitting Marie was very clear about how much the alterations we agreed would cost. However, the fittings that followed where additional adjustments were discussed, Marie did not update me with the new total. Therefore, when I came to pick it up after 2 months of her working on it Marie gave me a new total that she had never disclosed to me until then. When I got the dress home to try on, most of the work was to a good standard, however some of the finishing was not up to the high standards of the original workmanship of the dress.
O. C.Marie is absolutely brilliant. My wedding dress needed to be taken in and shortened. She was so patient (especially given the Covid delays) and really listened to exactly what I wanted.
She also made the final adjustments in less than a week!

Her work was absolutely impeccable, with an unparalleled attention to detail, and extremely good value given the couture-quality work. I would recommend her to other brides without hesitation - she's someone you can feel comfortable entrusting your most precious dress to.
