I came across Couchman bespoke while asking for advice on where to find sustainable robes in a sustainable fashion group on Facebook. Claire has a personal approach, listen to needs, and always kept me up to date with progress. It was fun to choose fabric from a range of suggested sustainable ones she sent over, and we even had a video call to ensure i had taken my measurements correctly. The robe exceeded my expectations, it is absolutely beautiful and i am very tempted to have any future clothes made the same way! Would recommend to anyone!

I took a cheap off the rack suit to Claire to alter. The whole service was professional and friendly and Claire listened to what I wanted whilst giving helpful suggestions and guidance to get the best fit possible. Once the suit arrived back to me, it fit like a dream and has gone from a suit I put off wearing to one that is in my regular rotation. Recently wore it to a wedding and received a number of compliments. Overall wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Claire, and will certainly be looking to take other items to her in future (and checking out her own range!)

As someone with an athletic build, finding a suit that fits me well is a complete nightmare. Claire was fantastic, she had my whole suit altered and ready for the next day in time for my job interview at a reasonable price, which is incredible! She was flexible with timing and spent a lot of time pinning the suit to ensure it was perfect as well as being a great person to chat to. Having bought more suits and altered in Savile row, this suit still remains my favourite. I will certainly return to her workshop in the future.

Claire made me a beautiful skirt out of some curtain off-cuts, went from something that took up room in the cupboard to an awesome piece of sustainable fashion! Lovely work - support an independent, ethical tailor and get something beautiful and unique in return.

Claire is a fantastic tailor all round, reasonably priced, highly skilled and efficient. Brought in a pair of trousers then followed a new jacket. She magically transformed one into a beautifully fitting bespoke creation. Her attention to detail and patience is second to none. I will most definitely be coming back again!

I did a brilliant workshop with Claire - she taught me so much and I'm not a beginner sewer! Came away with a beautiful shirt made from ethically sourced fabrics. She was great fun too and it was a day well spent!
