A. W.I was fortunate enough to be invited to meet Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace and wanted the best suit for my visit. I visited John Homoky at Philip Alexander and he made a high quality suit with waistcoat for my special occasion. Their service made me feel very special and confident to meet Her Majesty. Two years later I returned to buy two new suits which I now use whenever I need to look smart. I don't think I will ever return to off-the-peg suits. My recommendation: be brave, listen to John's advice and you'll look fantastic!

M.I recently had the pleasure of meeting John again following a period living overseas and needless the say received the same professional service I always remembered from previous visits to his premises. On this occasion a bespoke shirt is now on order which will of course fit perfectly and look fantastic. The best bespoke tailoring never goes out of style.
h. j.I wanted a made to measure Tweed suit, the first of which I’ld had. The special occasion was my only daughter’s wedding. I wanted something understated and stylish and I was and remain delighted with the result.
I researched various bespoke tailor options in the North West and decided to visit the Wilmslow shop of Philip Alexander due to their high reputation and styles and cloths that appealed to me. I arranged to meet with John, the master tailor, and as soon as we met I knew that my requirements would be realised. I explained what I wanted and what impressed me at that first meeting was that I did most of the talking! John was listening in order to understand exactly what it was I wanted. I looked at a number of fabrics and linings short listing to about half a dozen and then settling on one. The discussion extended to the most suitable linings, fitting styles and details. Nothing was overlooked.
I returned a couple of weeks later for the first fitting and was delighted with the garment and was confident that after some minor changes it would be what I was expecting. Indeed, my expectations were exceeded.
The suit garnered numerous compliments at my daughter’s wedding and I was pleased that I had chosen a bespoke suit. I believe that I chose wisely in having Philip Alexander make it. I have no reservation in recommending their excellent staff and very high quality bespoke clothes to anyone who wishes to wear beautifully designed and crafted clothes.

From first contact everything was personable and professional in the way that you only get from an establishment that cares about its clients and the way it prides itself on its reputation.
The shop on Saville row was very welcoming and for a 1st timer not in the least intimidating. The staff inside were all impeccably dressed and you could see lots of activity going on in the back room. Dozens of different suits in various stages hanging up, it was the real deal and great to see it does happen on the premises.
John guided me though the process with his many decades of experience, taking the time and ensuring I understood each step.
With so many choices of materials, linings and options he helped me narrow things down really quickly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and thoroughly enjoyed the whole process from start to finish. I look forward to adding to my suit collection with them for many years to come.
L. M.I bought a suit from Phillip Alexander last year. Huge selection of cloths. I have a slightly awkward shape. Mr Homoky the tailor took great care and several fittings to ensure that the suit was right when it was handed over.
Sadly, like everyone, I have not had much chance to wear this given that we have not been able to go out this year. So I am still looking forward to wearing it.
P. R.Last summer my son passed out from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Prior to the event I realised that my uniform (Royal Navy) would need some alteration as it had not been worn for some time. As the uniform was originally made by another well known Saville Row tailor I knew that I needed someone who understood how the uniform was originally made (approx 20 years ago) and would therefore be able to make the necessary alterations. I approached Phillip Alexander (in Wilmslow, close to where I now live) and following an initial discussion I commissioned them to do the work. A few weeks later I returned to pick it up. The transformation was remarkable. It looked as good as it did on the day I bought it and the fit was excellent. To say I am delighted with the service I received would be an understatement. I would not hesitate to give Phillip Alexander my highest recommendation.
