I enrolled in the Complete Beginners Sewing course and by 4 half-day sessions, I've gained a good foundation understanding on how to sew using a sewing machine and feel confident in embarking on simple sewing projects at home. Small group class format was conducive for learning, lesson pace was good and our teacher Rehana was very clear and precise in her guidance. I will definitely be returning for more classes and who knows, I might feature on the Great British Sewing Bee in the near future!

I had such a great time on the Complete Beginners Sewing Course, which I took part on this weekend. It's a lovely studio with everything you need and Olivia was a great teacher - patient, thorough and guided us expertly through our makes. I went in a complete novice and emerged really proud of what I had achieved in a relatively short time. It's made me want to learn so much more! Fantastic course - makes you feel very accomplished over one weekend. Very structured course, detailed and organized very well, the end products look very professional. Max size of 6, so a lot of individual attention, and enough time to learn from your mistakes without feeling like you're missing out. It would help if you like to work with crafts or anything hands on, so that it doesn't feel like it's too much to take in.

I really enjoyed my 4 week course learning the basics to sewing - the teacher was excellent and I am now far more confident in my sewing endeavours - I've just altered a skirt which I wouldn't of had the confidence to to tackle before the course. I don't think I'll be on the Sewing Bee but its good to have some basic knowledge.

Very comfortable room and very patient teacher! The two hours flew by. However it managed to meet my expectations and objectives. I wanted to learn how to operate an electric sewing machine and what features I might need when I bought my own. I now have great admiration for anyone who can sew a straight seam!

I absolutely enjoyed the sessions and they have been very informative/ hands on which is exactly what I needed to get past the starting trouble I had esp. the fear that I would waste/ damage materials trying to sew just watching youtube videos! Nothing beats hands on learning! The course has really helped in building my confidence working on sewing projects and has got me on a pretty good start on the sewing journey esp. being a beginner! Had my first ever sewing lessons here and it was brilliant! The studio is located in a really cool creative space (had no idea it was even there!) and both Julia and Lisbeth (the teachers) were so knowledgeable and nice. They were really good at explaining everything, and both had really cool tips and tricks. I left feeling confident enough to tackle some small sewing projects, and I will definitely be back for some more classes. I definitely recommend it!

I completed a weekend 'Complete Beginners Sewing Course' at Sew it with Love and I have to say that I am blown away by how much fun this course was. We were taught by Sasha and she was fun, informative and incredibly patient with us all being different levels of beginners. We were taught not only how to create a bag, cushion cover and skirt, but useful tips and tricks for us to carry over if we pursue sewing outside of the class. I had my taster class yesterday and I really enjoyed it. There was quite a lot to take in for someone who never sewed before, but I found the pace comfortable and thought the teacher did a good job assisting anyone who needed support. This was only a taster class, so everything was pretty basic in terms of techniques we used, but it gave me a good first impression of what to expect from sewing and, most importantly, I found it really appealing. My husband bought me the "Complete Beginners course" for a Christmas present after years of me wanting to learn how to sew. It was the best present ever!! I absolutely loved it so much. Elena is incredibly patient with everyone in the class and she was so good at working with a group of people with different skill levels! The patterns we used were great and her studio is very charming. I also loved the sewing machines she uses so much I traded my old machine in and got the same one. I've been back to do the PJ session and took a friend with who also loved it! I highly recommend Sew it with Love! :)

I recently completed the sewing with jersey class and I'm so happy with the result. You come away with a good understanding of how to work with the fabric, the different techniques required and a lovely self made top by the end of it. Can't recommend this class enough. This was my fourth class with Sew it with Love and I've loved them all. Great teachers, a lovely studio and really well taught classes. I highly recommend these classes to anyone with an interest in sewing.

I had absolute zero sewing experience prior to signing up to the Complete Beginner's Course at Sew It With Love. By the end of the first lesson (of four), I'd made a basic button cushion, which was pretty amazing. By the time the course had finished, I'd made a fully wearable skirt for my wife. Elena, who taught the course, was a fantastic teacher. Even though there was a lot to learn, she made the classes fun and each week I came out with a sense of achievement. I also got given the patterns and PDF instructions on how to make the things I'd made in class again at home so am looking forward to further practice and, undoubtedly, more courses with SIWL. :)

Fabulous sewing classes! I did the 4 week beginners sewing course with Reyhana and it was faultless. I learnt a lot. We made an envelope cushion, a tote bag and an A-line skirt all in 4 weeks. You learn lots of great tricks and tips and the class was very relaxed. The instructions are emailed to you afterwards so you can re-make the items with different fabrics at home.

Elena and her team couldn't have been nicer or more supportive, and they're all clearly very knowledgeable.
