I found Jeans shop on google and it was the first one i choose due to the great reviews. I visited today and i am very greatful for Jean to squeeze me in for an alteration i needed to desperately for Tuesday and given that she was extremely busy and preparing for a nice 4 day break, Jean was able to deliver. Such a pleasant lady and i am beyond grateful for you helping me out. I'll not hesitate at revisiting when i need further assistance.

A lovely, warm and friendly business! Quick repairs at a low cost. Would definitely recommend 😊👍 Also there was no smell of dog that I could recognise, as earlier review mentioned.

I took in some trousers to be shortened by 3”. Not only was it done quickly but also surprisingly cheaply (just £10 cash) and to an excellent standard of quality. The stitch work is very neat. This is at least the second time I’ve used this store and the nice lady who owns it hasn’t disappointed me yet. She also had a lovely dog named Bob who got on very well with my dog Molly; she even had a treat for her to enjoy. I felt very welcome in her small, intimate store. If I had to find a small criticism, which I shall insist on finding, it’s probably that she takes only cash, not contactless which I prefer to use. However it wasn’t a problem as I just came back once the trousers were ready with a tenner.

Stitch It was recommended by someone who works for a large clothing company. I travelled 12 miles on this recommendation and was certainly not disappointed! Friendly, helpful staff and a first class job at extremely reasonable rates.

Strongly recommend 'Stitch It' for low cost, high quality and quick turn-around time clothing fixes. I've had a number of clothing items altered or fixed: a huge tear down the back side of my jeans was sewn up to be completely unnoticeable on the outside for a very cheap price; the zip on my jacket replaced to a high standard and low cost; had some velcrow replaced on a cap; finally I had a bespoke job to attach velcrow to kilt socks and to some badges, this was no simple task and they asked all the right questions- they were extremely professional! Bob the Cockapoo is also very cute. Thank you!

I've used Stitch it for a long time and ALWAYS find both ladies friendly and helpful. I've spotted a recent review which seems to be referring to a different shop! I have dropped things in for repair or alteration and have always been greeted with a smile, no matter how busy they are. First class job, reasonable rate and always ready when they say. A valuable local asset to the High Street and somewhere that sticking pins in my eyes has never felt necessary🤣🤣🤣

The three times I have been, they have been brilliant. When I had a jammed zip on a jacket, they checked it and realised it could be quickly fixed with pliers and did so without charging. The next 2 items were for repairs. Both done to a high standard, quickly and at a reasonable price. They have also been very patient when I lost my repair receipt which they would use to locate the item, both times!

Always amazing service from Jean and her staff. Quality speaks for itself, other alterations shops have come and gone on Gosforth High Street but Stitch It has been there for almost 14 years! The reason a very loyal customer base and for very good reason. I wouldn't trust my alterations to anyone else but Stitch-It.

What alchemy is this? These ladies are amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how they manage to patch up my damaged threads after I've ruined them on some drunken night out somewhere. Most repairs you can't even tell that the item was ever damaged. It's like magic. Highly recommend

Absolutely fabulous job, asked for elastic to be removed from whole waistband of coat and you would never have believed it had been there in the first place. They even pressed the coat for me, all for £8.
