My mum wanted a dress turned up. Gems quote was very competitive. Work was excellent too

I had a rip in the arm of my coat, it was in an awkward place. I did not think it would be repairable however I took it into gems and sue assured me she would be able to do it for me. I collected it when it was ready and you would never even know it had been damaged. Thankyou very much! Will use gems again

I actually love this place, staff are always pleasant and willing to help, I always take my jeans or sons school trousers here if they ever need adjusting.

Good quality service I had 2 pairs of jeans which the waist was taken it & a pair shortened as the bottoms where ripped to shreds from dragging on the floor. Needless to say they came back to me like a brand new pair of jeans again & the other 2 with the waist made smaller where perfect. Thanks Gems

Fabulous fabric and served by a lovely lady who offered to send samples if i needed as i wasn't local. Well worth the 45 min journey. Will definitely go back. Thank you for your help

A good 'old fashioned' fabric and repair shop with lovely service from the staff. I needed to get a pair of trousers repaired in a hurry and they sorted them out at a low cost in a couple of days. A fantastic choice of fabrics and buttons for the home clothes maker and same for curtain maker! A small car park alongside the shop makes it easy to drop off and collect items.

I took my brand-new Karen Millon dress into gems to Have shortened , picked it up today and I was over the moon for work and standard of work is outstanding very pleasant staff would highly recommend I will be taking two more dresses into a next week to have them shortened as well thank you very much , libby Thomas

This is a cavern of wonderful fabrics and habidatiory shop. An Aladdin's cave of wonderful fabrics and linings. They also provide an alteration service and repair. Really helpful staff and knowledgeable. A must for crafters, dressmaking or homemakers!! Highly recommend

Good place with friendly staff but it seems like they have limited stock. We took my brother's coat in to have a new zip put on his coat but we were waiting for ages to have it back because they were waiting on zips.

Gems is a fab place for Fabric it also has Braiding , lace , buttons , bias binding everything you need to complete your project and very helpful and friendly staff . Well worth a visit x
