Susan is an incredible seamstress and she needed to be with the task I gave her. When buying my dress, I was coming off the back of a doctorate which meant my weight ballooned. I was advised to buy my dress in a size 18 (well I was actually advised to buy a size 22, but managed to negotiate down). Being a marathon runner, I wasn't that big for very long and so by the time it came to my fittings I was somewhere in the region of a size 10-12 and the dress is very form-fitting. Because of the pandemic, my fittings had to be rescheduled several times (nearly as much as my wedding) and Susan's maternity leave also meant I needed my fittings well in advance of my wedding (thankfully my weight had stabilised at this point and I felt it better to book in early thank risk further lockdowns). Throughout all the rejigs, Susan was a please to converse with and was very understanding at a time when her business must her been tricky (as with all those dependent on the wedding industry). Spending several hours in fittings, Susan was lovely to chat with. She really wanted to make sure the dress fit like a glove. As you can see from the photos, you would have no idea that the dress had to shrink so much. The intricate lace detailing shows no sign of being moved. As a plus, Susan turned an extra piece of chiffon designs to go on the back of my dress into a veil for me, adding an extra bit of flair with a matching lace veil. Everyone at the wedding complimented the dress, saying how beautiful and well-suited it was to me. All I can say is a massive thanks to Susan for her seamstress wizardry/shrink ray for giving me my perfect dress.

Sue did such an incredible job with my dress. I never thought I could look or feel like a bride but I did! I bought my dress from sale rail in The Bridal House and she needed a little bit of TLC. Sue was able to make the dress fit me perfectly and fix any little snags. She is an absolute perfectionist and a pleasure to work with. The fittings were lovely and Sue is so understanding and knowledgeable. I was able to feel amazing for the day in a beautiful dress. Thank you so much!
