Lovely little shop full of craft items at affordable prices. The quaint building it is in really adds to the experience and feels like you've stepped back in time.

A wheelchair accessible haven for all things haberdashery knitting and embroidery. The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. The staff's knowledge is extensive and there is very little they don't know!

My Sister popped in for some buttons she fell in love with this shop.

Apparently my wife can enter this very small shop that seems to stock every form, type, shape and colour of button and loose all track of time. It's either a button shop or a portal to another dimension. She comes out several minutes, hours, weeks as appropriate clutching a small bag of not just buttons, but THE buttons. Sings the praises of the shop and staff who are so helpful. We consider it a must visit whilst in York. PS, if buying buttons ain't your thing, it's not for you.

Well if you love wool and buttons your going to be in heaven, for me it's the place to buy them Christmassy stocking fillers for my crafty family members....

Found this little shop by chance whilst wondering around York City centre on my visit in April. Absolute gem of a place, tons of lovely buttons & nice staff. Would happily shop there again if I'm in York again (shame I live so far away!).

This shop was an astounding success! An accidental find couldn’t have brought me more joy. The best things do come in small packages. On entering I was greeted with an array of Guttermann. I hate matching ginghams. No fear the lovely Liz was on hand and whipped that swatch out of my hand and in seconds...I mean seconds, handed me the perfect 369 thread, GENIUS! Don’t get me started on the buttons. I live in london, so you’d think I’d have button emporiums galore at my fingertips. This place blows any button bargains through the ozone. Not only is the selection fantastic the promised stock is all there. We’ve all been there... found the perfect button, open the draw, only to find a random 3 stray buttons. Not here my friends! on top of that (it comes as no surprise) they have a great button matching service available, which I will be keen to try. I’m so gutted this excellent haberdashery isn’t on my doorstep, I’d definitely think of making a special trip. Thanks for a great shopping experience guys 👍🏾

Welcomed as we entered the store and amazed with the vast selection of buttons , today I was shopping for some buttons and this place has the best selection I have ever seen , if you need buttons you need Duttons !

Fantastic haberdashery shop, I'm a knitter not a huge selection of wool, but the massive stock of all haberdashery items more than makes up for it

There wasn't all that much by way of other haberdashery but if you want buttons, this would be the place to come. There really are some fab selections and all reasonably priced.
