Got a gorgeous Medusa neck tattoo yesterday and have to say, Ker did an absolutely amazing job. Not only was he very helpful and professional, his work is just stunning! Definitely recommend Sailor Max and will be using them again.

Just had my tattoo done by Sarah at Sailor Max and I simply cannot recommend this shop enough. I was made to feel comfortable the entire time and they explained everything perfectly. It was all perfect from start to finish.

Nathan is super friendly and amazing at making people feel relaxed and leaves you well informed of how to care for your piercings. I have many tattoos and many from other shops started to fade fast, the work I got done here is highly skilled and still looking fresh. Will be back for more in the future.

I went to see Jaz after not the best experience getting my piercing done in a different studio. (I have to say that I never write reviews, in fact this is my first one but I just had to). Jaz really listened to me and totally understood my needs and I never felt she tried to convince me or rush me to sort me out. She did everything she could to help me with my problem and I couldn't be happier with the result. I highly recommend this girl and the place felt quite nice too. I definitely will be back to upgrade or change my jewellery.

All ten of my piercings were done at Sailor Max and I’ve never had a problem with a single one. Nathan has done all of my piercings and fair handful of my friends and never fails to make a client feel in safe hands. From allowing clients to see if they are pleased with placement, to checking anatomically if a piercing will heal correctly. I cannot fault any experience I have had with not only Nathan but the rest of the staff too, always guaranteed a warm welcome and a comfy seat while you wait, that is if there is a wait as the walk in piercings function so flawlessly for the parlour. The whole shop is incredibly clean and sterile so it’s always a relief to know that the owners genuinely care about their customer service. Excellent piercer, excellent artists all with amazing social media presence. I couldn’t fault Sailor Max if I tried and I 100% recommend to family, friends or anybody looking to get a banging tattoo or piercing :))

The best tattoo/piercing studio I've ever been to. I've had 16 piercings and 3 tattoos, at a variety of studios and after going to sailor max at random one day, I've never went anywhere else since. Lovely people there, so easy to talk to and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I can't give sailor max enough praise. Sailor max is my favourite studio in Aberdeen and I will continue to be a loyal customer and also take people there for their own piercings/tattoos. Got a tattoo at Sailor Max about a week ago. Sarah was super professional and absolutely smashed what I wanted - I love my first tattoo, the quality is epic! Absolutely brilliant studio. All the staff are friendly and accommodating, having had my chest tattooed there by Sean and receiving a piercing from Nathan, I can safely and say that the hygiene and cleanliness of the studio is stellar! Very comfortable environment to be in, you'll feel completely at ease with anyone you talk to there 110% recommend to anyone who has questions about the process of both tattoos and piercings, and would definitely recommend the studio to anyone looking for either a piercing or a tattoo..more both!

Went in for a Daith piercing which is my first piercing in over 10 years. I am a huge wimp when it comes to needles however from the second I walked in the door I was put at ease. Nathan has a great attitude, very friendly and calming. There is a couple more piercings I am looking for so will definitely return soon. Would highly recommend especially to nervous/anxious people.

I have been here to be pierced by Nathan and tattooed by Sarah. Both exceptionally professional. Cleanliness in this studio is to the highest standard. I had two individual rib pieces done here by Sarah. Very friendly, chatty and professional! She didn't make me feel pressured at all by asking for changes with my design layouts/positioning. She has a very caring attitude aswell as I got a bit emotional during one of my tattoos due to the reasoning of why I wanted that particular tattoo and quickly got me chatting and laughing which helped get through the pain. Being rib pieces I had to be quite exposed throughout and she was very professional about this but also made sure my dignity was maintained by making sure screens were in place and secured and not accidentally opening/falling over. She genuinely cares about her work and pays very good attention to detail of her tattoos aswell as practicing good hygiene and adhered well to safety measures and precautions in place due to Covid-19. I felt the price I paid was also very fair and reasonable for her skills and artwork! She gave me verbal and written instructions on how to look after my tattoos too. She does have a bit of a waiting list for weekend slots, but I can see why!! Sarah is worth the wait! Thanks again Sarah.

Got my nose pierced by Nathan after thinking about it for 20 years! Was a total wuss but he put me at ease and explained everything Was so easy I went back a month later to get a forward helix piercing! Great range of jewellery, friendly people and really appreciate the fact you've to go back and get your piercing checked. Would absolutely recommend. Cheers guys!

Went there 2 years ago during a staff trip back when I was still working at a pub in the Netherlands. Out boss took us too Aberdeen to visit the Brewdog brewery. The day before we left Scotland we decided to get a tattoo. Nathan was the only one in the shop tattooing all 4 of us and after that he invited us to a bar to have a beer. Such a great guy! Nathan is a very professional body piercer, using quality tools and jewellery for your piercing(s), which is something this city lacks. You don't have that worry recieving a piercing ar Sailor Max. Piercings are always perfectly placed and heal brilliantly if you follow the detailed aftercare he gives you. Would use and reccommend time and time again.
