I am very very fussy on who I will let tattoo me and before first going to this studio, I did thorough research on the artist’s work and set up. I’ve now seen John twice for ink and I can’t wait to go back again. The whole team are friendly, incredibly professional and welcoming. The studio is spotless and hygiene before, during and after inking is exemplary and John’s artwork is of an incredibly high standard.

I've had 3 tattoos from John and have to say his traditional work is unreal! always a friendly and chatty experience, is open to suggestions reference / artwork, and very professional from start to finish. The shop is a very welcoming environment too, a big factor in where I go. highly recommended!!

Not only for the high standard of work and cleanliness the shop offers but for the amazing atmosphere the staff spread around, can't find a shop quite like it. Recommend to anyone wanting tattoos whether it be something small or a full back piece. They take on any challenge with ease.

Have had two tattoos at Sink or Swim and cannot recommend them enough The parlour is very clean, adequate waiting space and very friendly artists. Pricing is very reasonable and they were flexible on designs making sure it's what I wanted. The aftercare was top notch, I have 5 tattoos and the two I got from this parlour healed so well! Next to no scabbing and the quality of the tattoo has lasted.

Had many tattoos done at many different parlours and Sink or Swim is one that stands out to a very high degree. A cut above others, I have had a range of tattoos done here from traditional to neo-trad to inscription right through to pokemon characters and a big bold band logo. John is an amazing tattoo artist and quickly puts his customers at ease, going as far as having banter with their clientele which I've found some artists don't do. Modifications to tattoo ideas are not a problem and John will listen intently to what you want and he will ensure you're okay with his take on your idea first before putting ink to skin. 9 tattoos done by him so far and I certainly plan for a few more. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Absolutely brilliant care from start to finish, I had to reschedule twice due to bad weather (I was travelling from Dublin) and this was no trouble at all as I gave enough notice. Tattoo was excellent quality and John even took the time to message me later that night to check how I was. Highly recommended 5*

Excellent Tattoo Shop. Got all but two of my tattoos done here but that was before John became a pro! Wouldn't go anywhere else. Shop is clinically clean and as they say in Norn Iron.. " the craic is 90". Keep up the good work guys

Went up today for my Native American piece felt instantly at home offered tea and coffee and all! Had a full day sitting and was made super comfortable even when that tattoo wasn’t so much! Been tattooed here 3 times all off which have been great experiences. Tattooed by both tattoo artists and each tattoo has healed well 👌. They even changed rules to accommodate ny tattoo needs on their friday the 13th offer for myself to get tattooed would recommend them to anyone :)

I wouldn't go to any other tattooist. The tattoo itself was superb and I love it, but even that aside these guys are professional and the constant communication, very swift booking process as well as being made to feel welcome while tattoo was being done then to come here again is a no brainer.

ive been a couple off times an tattooed by both guys each one has a lovely nature about them very welcoming experience anytime i was in, both fellas are amazing at their own style of work, will defo be back for more ink!!

Matthew did my nose & daith piercings & I have to say I'd definitely recommend him. He talked me through the whole process as he was doing it & explained the aftercare too. Very patient guy 😀
