H. I.I had a tattoo here done by Reece. The communication was great from the get-go. He got back to me quickly, advised me of all the information i needed to know. The studio is very welcoming, Reece was very attentive and made sure i had the breaks i needed and i was very comfortable during my tattoo. The tattoo is great quality and healed very well. Will definitely be booking in again!

J. C.I got my first ever tattoo done here by Reece, and had a great experience! He was very friendly and all around a great person to chat with whilst you're on the table! Everything from the design, getting the tattoo and dealing with aftercare was perfect - and almost a couple of months later the tattoo has healed quite nicely.
Not only did the tattoo turn out great, but the other front-desk and other artists were friendly and welcoming too! The studio was spotless and had some great background music.
Definitely will be coming back here soon for some more work! 😎
E. H.I had my first two tattoos done at Black Hope today by Ellie. She was super friendly (as were all the staff there) and understanding! Since it was my first time getting tattoos Ellie was great at explaining how it all worked. I had a design idea and she added her own flair to it which I absolutely loved! She is very approachable, will answer any questions and made sure I felt comfortable. 10/10 Would definitely recommend.

Reece put up with me for the whole day and made the whole experience really enjoyable despite all the pain! Nice atmosphere and really friendly team members. Some funny banter to be heard from the artists while you're in the chair too. Can't wait to do a second visit in the new year.

Prices are really fair and it’s always amazing professionalism and quality of tattoos, I’ve had a few different artists before but this is by far my favourite in terms of tattoo quality and the vibe of the shop. H.I got my first tattoo at Black Hope by Red, and I was quite nervous but he really put me at ease, not to mention that I am chuffed to bits with my tattoo:) The atmosphere is amazing, I struggle with social anxiety and one of the things I was most worried about was sitting with people I didn’t know, but everyone was so friendly I quickly felt at home and completely comfortable. I have since booked two more tattoos in and can’t wait:)

They are all very professional and passionate about what they do, and I've found them to be great value for money, very clean, and the quality of tattoos are immaculate. M. N.I can't recommend Black Hope highly enough. I have been tattooed by Alan for almost a year now (ranging from a large cover up, to bespoke pieces) and every time his attitude has been consistently professional, patient, approachable and friendly. On top of that, the quality of his work is exceptional.
The shop itself is very welcoming and clean and there is a positive, personable vibe given off from all staff - the free tea and coffee is also a nice touch. Whether you were going for your first tattoo, or if you are more seasoned, you would feel completely at ease and un-judged - something which I place a lot of value in.

Alan is professional, knowledgeable and very skilled. He has been easily contacted for advice and is always kind and friendly (even though I'm an awkward customer) His work really is top quality. The other artists are always friendly too, and from the work I've seen when I've been in, they are just as talented and skilled. The receptionist is always welcoming and helpful. The studio is lovely and has that nice warm, friendly feeling as soon as you walk in. Everything is clean and hygienic (as you would expect). I have no criticisms at all :-)

Alan Aldred managed to create exactly what I wanted and with his knowhow he made it look even cooler then in my own head so big props. They are all rediculously skilled and versatile so have no fear. The hardest thing will be choosing which talented artist you want to tattoo you.

D. B.This place is amazing. Pinky has done a number of pieces for me and she is simply incredible. The place feels more like a funky coffee shop than a clinical tattoo parlour. Lovely tech set up with Apple home pod, Dyson fans, iPads for tattoo drawings/designs and comfy tattoo beds.

S. H.I’ve been tattooed a few times by Reece at Black Hope whilst he was an apprentice and each time has been an absolute LEGEND! He’s so professional, he makes for a comfortable environment from the get go, such a bloody lovely guy who is insanely talented at tattooing and has a strong eye for what will look best each time, I was a tiny bit hesitant at first to get colour done as I’m all line work or black work but I couldn’t be happier with listening to Reece’s advice on going full steam ahead for colour! Each session with Reece my tattoos have healed perfectly, the healed colouring has stayed strong and vibrant! Their 100% natural butter luxe balm is the best thing I’ve ever used for aftercare! The lemon and lime one smells UNREAL! BHT is by far the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been in to get work done! The team and other artists are always so lovely and hospitable, and have the best chats along with other customers too, they play the raddest tunes all day n’all! Such a great bunch of folk to be around whilst being inked! It’s often that decent tattoo shops can come across as quite intimidating and obnoxious, but these guys couldn’t be further from that! Feel like I may have a bit of brown on my nose from this review hahaha!! Can’t wait to get more work done by Reece now he’s made it full artist!!! Yeeeehaw!
