I had my nose pierced by Nikki and then a re-sizing/aftercare appointment. I cannot fault the service at all. Nikki is so talented, was so friendly, made me feel very comfortable, and is clearly very knowledgeable. The studio is beautiful and absolutely immaculate. The hygiene standards are exceptional. The jewellery selection is stunning. Nikki spent time explaining everything to me. Really just top notch service. Can’t recommend Bold and Gold enough!

Such a professional and friendly studio- couldn't recommend them more! I had planned to downsize my piercings- but because of lockdown I couldn't visit the studio in person. But, Nikki was incredibly helpful helping me prepare for downsizing my piercings at home. All the staff I've talked with have always been really friendly, informative and professional- and their social media accounts have a lot of useful piercing information too. I also recently ordered my first custom jewellery piece with help form Bold and Gold. Rachel was super helpful helping me choose my dream piece within my budget and listening to my desires. The whole process was really smooth and upon receiving the piece, I was beyond thrilled with it.

Really friendly and relaxed service. Nikki put me completely at ease both about getting pierced (my first cartilage) and about the hygiene measures in the shop given the current situation. Aftercare advice was clear and easy to follow and remember; you can tell Nikki really takes pride in her work and wants to make sure it's taken care of both in and out of the shop. Hands down, the best piercing studio I've been to. It goes beyond the normal standards of a good piercing studio (and those standards are definitely there!), there's also a real passion coming from the team and a commitment to excellent quality and service. Every step of the process is very deliberate and treated with the same attention, and there's a real feeling with Nikki that she works with you and your body, not on you. I can't recommend this studio enough!

If you’re looking to get a piercing/tattoo done I’d definitely give Bold & Gold a try! The studio atmosphere is always great, I’m always a little nervous before a tattoo but Alana made me feel at ease straight away. My partner also visits the studio for tattoos from Alan & Sean, which are always very impressive pieces. I also had my lip pierced here a few years back and again was made to feel straight at ease, it healed perfectly and it still love it! I don’t think I’d go anywhere else now, thank you guys for your amazing work!

Sofi was so professional and talked me through the whole process, she swapped out jewellery for me and gave me a new piercing as well as spending lots of time discussing jewellery options and aftercare - I’ll definitely be booking back in with her ASAP, thank you Sofi you are amazing!!! After spending ages considering getting a daith piercing, and having had a fairly rough experience of lobe piercing at another Edinburgh venue, I came across Bold and Gold Art in Leith and am SO glad I decided to book in here. I felt Nikki’s passion for the art of piercing really made the experience just that - an experience - and not just a quick job. The shop feels so friendly and every step was explained really well. Time and care was taken over my jewellery choice and there was no rush to “get in and get out”. I’m not too scared by piercings but it is still slightly nerve wracking so I appreciated Nikki’s “no surprises” approach - I felt really prepared for what turned out to be just a quick nip and not all that uncomfortable. Got my first tattoo in 6 years here just last weekend and it was such a great experience - admittedly I was extremely anxious about it and Alana made me feel so comfortable and talked me through it. Both the enquiry and booking process was great - I went in for a quick consultation too which was quick and comfortable. Alana also sent me through a sketch beforehand to see if I was happy which I thought was really great. I go in to get it finished next week and I'm sure it will be the same great experience. If you're looking to get a tattoo go here! Specifically for COVID-19 stufff... everyone was wearing masks, social distancing was adhered to, lots of hygiene measures and it just seemed like they were all over it from start to finish.

Absolutely fabulous experience from booking through to the actual piercing appointment. Their lovely receptionist Rachel is very friendly and knowledgeable. The jewelry range is stunning - I love that they also work with other local businesses. I brought my mum here to add to her existing ear piercings, Nikki could not have been more lovely. She is truly passionate about her craft and full of great advice. Needless to say I also ended up leaving with new jewelry for my existing piercings.

Went in today and saw Nikki about my industrial piercing (that I had done elsewhere) which was giving me some problems. Nikki was excellent and really listened to any and all concerns I had + gave me great advice on how to better care for the piercing. We ended up switching my too-long bar for a much better quality and much shorter one, and the switch itself was done quickly with minimal pain. Overall great experience and I really recommend this studio!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this studio. The reception staff gave me a great first impression as they were so welcoming and helpful. I had been having problems with an old piercing and Nikki listened carefully, changed my piercing and gave me a treatment plan. A few weeks later my piercing is recovering well. I have been both tattooed and pierced at Bold and Gold art and all my experiences were phenomenal. Some studios can feel a lil daunting but B&G is the opposite. From super friendly Rachel at front of house and all the artists and Nikki herself - it’s a dream environment. I get tattooed by Alana who can take my vision and get it spot on. I’m not creative in a visual sense but she gets my ideas and nails them. I was pierced three times in one sitting and it was like a meditative practice! No words will do justice to the incredible service, standard and professionalism i found here, at Bold and Gold - Edinburgh. I've been wandering in many (many) piercing studios the last couple of years in US and Europe, and "Bold and Gold" is one of the best. It ticks all the box: Clean / On time / Friendly / Professionalism / Patience / Passion and a very practical and clever booking system through their website. I came super confident (The studio was recommended to me) and, god i was right. Nikki, the owner, is just amazing and you can feel the passion running there. It's no joke. The jewels selection and the possibilities to arrange, balance, upgrade are fabulous. She makes you feel like you are deserving the best of services in this industry and i can testify that without any hesitation that is absolutely true. She takes the time you need (in the slot of availability booked in advance, of course) to give you the best experience. The shop is chic, black, bold, gold, just beautiful. I cannot speak to their tattoos, but the service I received for piercings has been stellar. Nikki and Rafa are both wonderful and reassuring, and I cannot imagine a place with more stringent hygiene practices other than a hospital operating room. It was my first piercing as an adult and I was quite nervous, but the staff were amazing at keeping me calm and talking me through the process. They were patient with my hundred and one questions, and the piercing process itself was very quick. There is a small amount of pain to be expected from any piercing, but it was much less than I had anticipated and passed very quickly. In the days following my piercing, Nikki and Rafa were absolutely amazing when I came back in with a little more swelling than anticipated, and were able to soothe my intense worry that I had managed to get my new piercing infected. I recommend purchasing the saline spray they have at Bold and Gold, which is not only the most hygienic way to clean a new piercing, but also cheaper than other retailers (including online). It's also worth noting that the more premium pieces of jewellery (many of which are from BVLA) are very expensive due to their high quality of materials and craftsmanship. The basic titanium pieces, however, are very affordable.

Brilliant place in all respects. I happened to be staying nearby for the weekend and have been wanting to get my nose re-pierced for a while. Twit Twoo was able to book me in for a same day appointment. The staff were great: professional, honest, and friendly. Selection of studs was larger than I've ever had, it took forever to decide! Hygienic salon and an excellently managed piercing. Easily one of the best piercing experiences I've had, I would hesitate to go again or recommend!

Twit Twoo Tattoo's is amazing, great staff and easy going atmosphere. Ive had both my tongue and nose pierced there and even though I was really nervous and scared (needles who isn't scared of them) but both both girls who done my piercing for me, they were able to calmed me down just by having a normal chat and even made me laugh just to take my mind of things. They will always deliver and it's now my go to place. You will not be disappointed.
